The Queens Hotel in Dumfries & Galloway

We holidayed in Drummore, due to covid,the Queens Hotel was the only available bar in the village.This was not a problem,the estrella gallicia was perfect,the staff were above and beyond helpful.The bar man knew his whiskies and was quiteenthusiastic to point us in the right direction .All in in all, we spent a good few nights in this traditional bar.

Great atmosphere good music quietly hums in the back ground,open log fire ,big selection of whiskey and food great

Food is clearly frozen so don't expect great things. Chips were actually proper chips but were undercooked so still disappointing. It's ok if you need to grab a quick bite but I wouldn't recommend going there with the purpose of eating, it's more of a drinking pub.

Visited here whilst staying at maryport, great food and great value. Lovely friendly people. Will definitely be back. If you are ever in Drummore pop in for a bite to eat or a wee drink.

I stayed here for one night while touring the area. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Toilet/shower are shared but for the price I found this totally ok. Bar was friendly and food was great value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed the banter of the locals, friendly atmosphere. Had a nice drink and a traditional “pub grub” meal Drummore is well off the beaten track but a great little place to visit.

Just had a quick takeaway and if this is an example of the service and food I will be going back tomorrow for a meal in, great value for money, great food, clean and friendly service

Con carteles, anuncios y menús de todo el frente del edificio, una publicidad de un desayuno durante todo el día 'podrá entender mi molestia y frustración de ser groseramente celebrar no solo la comida por la noche. Un día el desayuno que solo está disponible después de las 8 pm? ! ?Este lugar también tenía un ambiente muy hostil donde te hacen pensar que es un pub local (sucio) para la población local. Al final fuimos a la cafetería mariners justo abajo de la calle, y aunque estaban tratando de complacer a un grupo de más de 20 ciclistas que acababa de llegar, todavía conseguimos una taza de té y almuerzo en genial!No volví para el té, había tenido suficiente mala educación por un día! ! !

Un salto. En 245 horas afuera de dicho comida disponible hasta las 15:00 ninguno pobre disponibles muestra este lugar estaba muerto. El otro pub El Ship Inn estaba cerrada hasta las 5:00 si la quieres atraer turistas esta no es la manera de hacerlo la mayoría de los clientes eran personas no expatriados inglés escocés en todo

The décor is 'tired' but we received a very friendly welcome from the bar staff and had a great seat next to the roaring log fire. Food was home cooked, delicious and the highlight of our visit. Would go back when in the are again.

The steak & kidney pudding in the bar was a highlight of an otherwise dreary visit! Mainly a bar for locals, with rooms attached

This is clearly the "local " for this small area. Friendly atmosphere and decent beer. The food was not fancy in any way but wholesome and generously portioned. The bar lady also doubles as the chef and probably a multitude of other roles. The decor is somewhat dated but the pub appears to be for sale. Would go again if in this area.

Having visited Drummore 4 times over the last few years we decided on our last night to go into the village for an evening meal. We chose the queens as we have never tried it. We entered into a warm cosy well stocked bar with a roaring fire, just perfect for a cool evening. Once seated the barman came over and provided us with menu's, a very good choice as well. Our order was taken and didn't take too long to arrive at our table. Gorgeous hot home cooked food and excellent portions for a really reasonable price. As I have a gastric band and couldn't manage to eat all mine, the chef was very accommodating and packaged my remaining meal for me to take home. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for this lovely hotel. You can also order TakeAway.
