Break adequate although somewhat burnt toast. Biggest challenge was the supervisor, a middle aged lady who blond hair, absolutely reeked of cigarettes smoke and when visiting the table to clean up or check in, really put you off eating as he smells lingered in the air for ages. Young lass working there wearing shorts and face mask was by far the hardest working colleague. Supervisor by comparison was meandering around.

The Queens Hotel is another addition to the Wetherspoons chain. We leapt into the pub on a quiet Sunday morning and we'd seen more life at a hermit's funeral. It was desolate, empty and eerily quiet. The pub is comfortable enough, however and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts arrived quickly and we tucked in hungrily after the hours drive from our home. We were in the area to visit Roche Abbey and took the opportunity to have a feed while we were in the area. It was Ok, totally unmemorable but worth a visit. The breakfast really was totally fine but the pub was just a bit, well, average. We'd probably visit again if we're passing through, but certainly wouldn't make a point of it.

Although this location did not have many people who worked in finance, they did happen to have plenty of something else that I desperately need - financially poor gullible gammons, and they really were in abundance. With the promise of a coffee at the expense of UK taxpayers, they were nice enough to take a seat and listen to my hollow empty promises delivered from upon my trust playskool stool. As I looked around the room I felt as though for once I was with my people - ok, not quite, but close enough - my eyes are unfashionable close together whilst theirs were in many cases crossed or pointing in opposite directions - but it was a connection nevertheless and beggars can’t be choosers. You would not believe how easily they soaked up the idea that I was a regular customer and were impressed by assistants idea to download some app on my phone - how on earth can we be so far behind in the polls with people like this on tap ready to lap up my lies like a dog cleaning its rear. I can’t really comment on the food as there is no way I would ever really eat here, but I would recommend it to other unelected treacherous prime miniatures looking to connect with the inevitable end product of a starved educational system.

We visit here regularly. Good cheap food and reasonable service. Toilets are not the best, but food is of normal Wetherspoons standard.

A traditional favourite of mine… Today was quite poor.. i was in approximately 90 mins from 1:45 Long queues at the bar The food tables were not cleared during my 90 minute stay… People were coming in and glaring at the tables around me and walking by A young girl was periodically collecting glasses, but no effort was made during my visit to clear the 3 very heavily ‘used’ tables around me As a family man, i most certainly shall avoid dining here I do, however, enjoy the Wetherspoon experience, perhaps only for a couple of drinks now and then

Been for breakfast here multiple times, OK generally but today's visit was a disgrace. Firstly there were no clean tables, everything had old food or drinks on them, we had to clean it ourselves with wetwipes from my wife's bag. The drinks machines (x2) wasn't working xorrectky and had to try 4 or 5 times on different drinks to get one to deliver it correctly. When the food was delivered, it was OK, not the best we've had but OK but the cutlery that came with them was filthy and again had to clean them ourselves. 1 person behind the bar, 2 on the floor but of they worked any slower they would have stopped. Some customers but it wasnt packed by any strtch. Cleanliness is key in a restaurant and this was an appalling experience.

Filthy tables, food all over floor, waited almost half an hour, food stone cold when it arrived. 3rd time we have had bad service at breakfast, won't bother to come again.

The worst breakfast I’ve even eaten! Eggs - raw Beans - freezing Bacon - still oinking Oh and they couldn’t get the order right after an hour wait!!!

After moving to within walking distance from the Queens both me and my mrs tend to take a walk and have a bite to eat early evening and a few drinks then take a steady walk back home. The service and quality of the food and drinks are very good and as with all Wetherspoons you cannot fault the value for money. The Pub is in need of a refurbishment with the carpets now starting to get a bit dirty but it is expected to be like this as they will need to recoup the loss of revenue from their closure during the covid lockdowns. Overall a great place for food and drink. Keep up the good work guys!

Not been in for a while, not very busy staff were cheerful and pleasant. Pizza and burgers were good and hot and arrived quickly. Table cleared quickly. Good selection of drinks. Very happy with everything.

After arriving sitting down and ordering food we were told by a rude staff member that we would have to hurry and eat our food as they need the tables for quiz night at 5 and we must vacate it as all the tables have been reserved . The table next to us was also told the same . While we were eating our meal we were rudely interrupted by one of the kitchen staff who just leant over us sweat dripping off them and started arranging the table for said quiz night while we were still in the middle of our meal . we were made to feel quite unwelcome. I now have indigestion from having to bolt our food down . We are regular patrons here and eat out 2 to 3 times a week and have breakfast on a weekend here. Needless to say we will go elsewhere in future . I don't believe this is wetherspoons policy but they have lost a customer from now on . I hope they can sustain the buisness relying on proceeds from a quiz night

Doesn’t look much from the outside but we called at lunch time for a bite to eat. The place is very big inside and tables are well spaced. There were quite a few people in but everyone was socially distanced. The whole place looked clean and tables were cleared and sanitised quickly. We had a burger each which we ordered via the app. Ordering was easy and service was very quick - quicker than expected. Value for money wise it cost £14 for two meals and included soft drinks. (Would have been about another £1 each for an alcoholic drink). Food was lovely - tasty and hot. The staff were friendly and efficient. All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant.

First time eating out since the March lockdown & what an utter disappointment Walked in to chaos dirty plates and glasses on the tables that we had to move ourselves No offer from the staff walking past to clean it or sanitise the tables (good job I fetched my own anti bac wipes) no social distancing in place either everyone just acting normal with kids running riot like they normally do in this place The food was horrendous , the food that we ordered had half of it was missing and no replacements offered , if the waitress had said beforehand we would have ordered something else that would have been a complete meal. Ordered desserts and had a complaint so we sent it back and the waitress never said a word just snatched the food off of us and walked away Definitely won’t be returning to this place We only went because it’s or families local , I’m glad it’s not mine!

Visited for breakfast. Immediately saw waitress empty a dirty table of plates, never came back to wipe it or sanitise it and the paper menus were left out, presumably for the next occupant. No point in using hand sanitiser when you enter if this is the levels of cleanliness displayed. During breakfast saw this happen to another table so this is obviously the new ‘norm’ here. An infection waiting to happen...

i wouldn't even rate this place 1 star, we visited Tuesday and safe to say its absolutely disgustingly dirty. Food all over the floor, tables stacked with plates and rubbish. the "beer garden" if that's what you want to call it had rubbish all over the floor and not once did a member of staff bother to even make it look the tiniest presentable & as for social distancing measures.. what are those? Gone way down hill hygiene wise.

Visited with a friend for lunch.No mention of leaving car registration number at the bar for car parking. Subsequently received letter saying I owed £75 in parking fines. Will never come to this pub again. Beware. Contacted Wetherspoons head office about this scam - they did not want to know.

Like others, parked in the car park late in the evening. It was dark and didn't see the signs. Nobody said anything about the pad to enter your reg number. Very poor from Wetherspoons - feel tricked. A reasonably priced meal ended up being a very expensive meal - won't be going again out of principle.

Way to go Mr Spoons, as per many other people on here I have just received a parking fine for parking in a pub car park i was eating at! really bad business model guys this will greatly affect the chances of me attending again.

Absolutely fantastic meal on steak Night, At least an 8 oz steak, chips, mushroom, tomato and peas/or beans plus a pint of beer, lager etc or glass of wine. I usually have steak, jacket potato and salad, dressing and 1 pint of Strongbow. Never had a bad meal yet and lovely decor.

Es la primera vez que vengo a este weatherspoon. Esta genial por que es muy barato. La comida esta muy buena y barata. Encontrar pintas en inglaterra por menos de 2 libras es una maravilla. Y ya pa rematar me tomé un gin beefeater orange blood con tonica de naranjas valencianas por 4 euros al cambio. Todo estupendo a buen precio

I come here with clients pretty regularly. Well, I did until I received a £45 parking fine. I didn't see the signs and none of the staff said a word at the bar that there was this parking system in place. I've not been back since and I won't be.

I had no idea that this car park no longer belongs to Wetherspoons. Visited the pub for a breakfast, never saw the signs in the car park, nothing mentioned at the bar when ordering and didn't see any signs directing customers to the pad where you are supposed to enter your vehicle registration. I was in the place for 31 minutes and received a Parking Charge Notice for £75. I can prove that I was in the pub at this time with bank statements but apparently this means nothing. The pub won't help and Euro Car Parks accept nothing else as proof. Appalling way to run a business on both parts, make it clearer for your customers Wetherspoons and better signage in the car park. I will not visit this pub again. Other chain pubs with similar parking issues have since removed the private car park facilities from their venues. I suggest Wetherspoons seriously considers this, you are losing customers.

This place should be buzzing, but sadly cold toilets, sticky tables short staffed, due to Wetherspoons running pubs this way more profit, no music, some of staff indifferent to customers. Hopefully new manager things will change.

I received a £45 parking fine for failing to input my car's registration number at the bar. This was a genuine mistake and I didn't notice the signs about this, so I appealed, but this was rejected. I was in the pub about 35 minutes so my coffee cost me around £47! I think that the staff should be trained to remind customers to input their reg number when ordering. When I asked them about this later, they said that they have no idea how the car park works. I will not be using Wetherspoons or their car parks again in future.

I live in close village braithwell have visited queens loads of times for tea and couple of drinks until I ended up with two £45 parking fines because they no respect for regular customers plenty of signing but not seen in the dark and machine either end of bar so if stood in the middle hard to see I will never visit again it's a money making sceam obviously

Beware of the sneaky parking 'fine' system It was raining when I got there I could see the 3 hour parking notice but as it was heaving it down I didn't go over to read the small print, no one at the bar mentioned having to enter my details at a console somewhere - I then got a so called fine through the post, not paying it and neither am I ever setting foot in there again

Steak night, 4 steaks, 4 drinks, 4 coffees, £32.25, if that isn't a bargain I don't know what is. Although one steak had a lot of gristle.

Visited pub on 07/10/2019 No one told me at the bar to give our car registration.

This pub is cold and grubby, we had too send cutlery back as they were not clean, glass had lipstick on it, I would not recommend this place

We visited this pub last night with some friends, two who were over from New Zealand on holiday what a fiasco. We asked for two bottles of sparkling wine and were told they didn't have any sparkling wine at all, so we asked for two bottles of Hardys wine and were told that we had got the last two bottles in the pub, one red and one white. Now the food, a notice on the bar saying no fresh eggs available with any meals but you could have scrambled which would suggest this was powdered egg. No beefburgers at all with any meal. Now the staff, the manager was serving the meals because of staff shortages again and the lad behind the bar didn't know what a glass of Pinot Grigio was we had to tell him it was wine. Then the beers they ran out of ruddles and didn't have any doom bar or Abbott ales on tap and wetherspoons should always have at least one of these at all times. There was a group of young women using the Fword all the time and we told the manager who dealt with it straight away, but if he had been doing his job instead of serving meals we shouldn't have had to complain. This pub has gone back to how it was before Wetherspoons took over and needless to say we shall not be going back. It has deteriorated badly in the last six months.

Called in for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Always get a good selection of beers in a Wetherspoon's and the foods not exactly cordon bleu but it does the job. There never seems to be enough staff on and on a Saturday night when it's busy, you do need more people behind the bar.

I was served by a lady called Tracy. She was very helpful. Myself and my two children really enjoyed our meals!!!

Called in for breakfast and was then handed with a hefty parking fine through the post. No mention of having to put your reg plate number in at the bar from any of the staff. Absolute rip off. Won’t ever be going here again!!!!!! Avoid at all costs

Having visited this pub a few times with my friend I was surprised when the parking fine landed through my letterbox!!! I didn’t even see the sign or no mention from staff about the new parking system! Sadly won’t be returning they have driven me away,,,, come on Wetherspoons you can do better than this, surely?

Called in for tea on Sunday. Very disappointed in meal. Cold onion rings and a piece of plastic in my lasagne.

We decided to call into Queens hotel in maltby for tea as just been to hospital with partner. Weve visited a few times in past!we ordered our meals and drinks on the app. Not long after our drinks and meal arrived. All happy until today when we recieved parking fine for £75!!! Nothing in lift to advise you about new parking regulations (parked in disabled bay next to the lift)nothing. We will never ever use this pub again and inform friends and family to avoid. Hope the pub gets lost of complaints.

Called for lunch and got landed with a parking fine for parking in the car park. The car parking system is set up so you get caught out and get a fine.

We were travelling to see family and called in after 7:30pm on a Saturday night. We noted car parking signs informing 3 free hours. It does not say in a plain and easily readable format you must enter your reg on a machine at the bar. The text would make the EU legislation look easy to understand, (take note Tim). Anyway I was never told by bar staff to enter the car registration and I hadn't proof read the whole notice so in short just over a week later I got a £75 fine through the post. When I rang the hotel they said we have got six signs up (they probably have) appeal with your receipt ( they don't offer you one) or if payed by switch show your account, they will sort it (THEY DON'T). Wetherspoon head office send you a very nice "we are very sorry but pay up" letter (as it is your own fault for not complying with the car park regulations). The pub was relatively quiet and I got served straight away and we had a nice meal and drink. Ironically on leaving the pub I said to my Wife that it was a really nice pub, they seem to have done a really good job at renovation and that perhaps we will call again when we are in the area. Sadly we won't, not sure if we will visit Wetherspoon's again, big shame really as we are the ideal customers. Take family, order a meal, dessert and couple of drinks then clear off. We don't spend all day sipping refills of tea and coffee or John Smith's nor do we use their WiFi to rip off Pirate copies of films whilst using their electricity to power the computer. Still their loss in business will be someone elses gain.

Yes I do or should I say did go to the Queens once a fortnight. The food for the price you pay is great but I am so pissed off that on my last visit I was not told I had to put my number plate into a machine hence a £75 parking ticket.

Went to Wetherspoon Queens Hotel, Maltby with partner and 2 grandchildren,food ok and reasonably priced. But week later got a £75 parking notice. No one mentioned to register car details behind bar. A member of staff having a fag outside never said a thing. Not such a reasonably priced meal after all.

Called in as it was lunch time and had never been before. Parked car in what I thought was the pub car park. Had lunch and left an hour later. A few weeks later I receive a parking fine for £75. It appears that you have to tell the bar staff you have parked your car so it can be entered on a tablet as authorisation.

Called in for a pint as a regular.. Forgot to put my car registration there new parking system just forgetfulness had my pint..left 10 days later got a parking fine 45 pounds even though I could prove I was in there with my bank statements becouse I used my debit card. They did not want to know... You have lost my custom now which is a lot more than 45 pounds..

Went for a traditional breakfast a couple of weeks ago and ended up being fined £75 because of new parking rules that I wasn't told about. Apparently I'm expected to read the car park signs on the way in and log my details on a tablet at the bar. None of the staff told me about this and I didn't see anything advising me of this at the bar. Rang the place and they won't cancel the charge even though I can prove I ate there and I only used the car park for 30 mins. Disgusting.

We went for our breakfast for Mother’s Day this morning got there and ordered our food for 4 people at 11:05am to be told our food would be 30-35 minutes which was fine as there was a few in but not overly busy at that time,so we sat at our table and had our drink it got to 11:50am and we asked when would our food be here,to get a reply saying it will be about 9 minutes so we waited and at 12:30 we asked please can you tell us where our food is it’s been an hour and half now and people that have came in 30 minutes ago have got there meals to which we was told it will be another 10 minutes so we asked for a refund the girl said she would go and fetch the manager 10 minutes later the manager comes to the table and puts our refund on the table and says that’s your refund sorry about that very arrogantly and walked off it was like an I don’t care that you have been waiting for an hour and half for your food which we didn’t get,as we left there was still family’s waiting for meals that they ordered before we did.

Called in here for Sunday dinner. A large bar, plenty of people in, with a good atmosphere. Staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was served promptly and was well cooked and excellent value for money. Enjoyed our visit and will be back

Dan the bar man was very helpful! I went in thinking I wanted a pint of carlsberg and he pointed out that I’d probably enjoy Copeland Gin Rhuberry it was the way forward. All the staff were very friendly especially the duty manager Annie I think her name was.

A really nice well cooked breakfast cooked to order and nicely presented slight hiccup with the order system but manager apologised and the meal was great

I visited on Thursday and ordered the 60z burger and only ate half of the burger but within half an hour of eating the burger I had an upset stomach and their is nothing else it could have been that I have eaten that day.

Went in Thursday night at 8.40 with Maltby Diving Club. 12 of us . My youngest son who's 15 was refused to be served a meal as under 18's had to be out by 9.00.

We visited the queens recently for food with family. I ordered off the Xmas menu and others ordered off main menu. Firstly I was told that they had no salad to go with my jacket potato and prawns. So I said I will have beans. My daughter ordered skinny steak once again no salad. So ordered special. My order took overs hour to come and when it did it only had 5 prawns in a gallon of sauce. I told them to take it back. Was not offered a alternative just a refund which speaks volumes

Went to Wetherspoons in Maltby, there was a group of 6 of us. We ordered our meal at an empty bar. About 15 mins later a few more people came in and ordered. One person on our table got her meal. After a further half hour we asked where the rest of our meals were as people who came after us were already eating there's. The member of staff gave a shrug of his shoulders in a couldn't care less way. Another half hour went by, still no meal. We asked to see the manager, 15 mins later he arrived. No apology, nothing. Even he didn't seem to care. I demanded my money back as over an hour was a ridiculous time to wait. The manager said they were busy, is 4 tables of people, 2 with only 2 people at them and he calls that busy. The whole feeling of the place was one of couldn't care less. This is far and away the worst Wetherspoons I have ever been in. By the way when the meals did eventually arrive 2 of them were wrong. I'm sure the owner of the Wetherspoons chain would be disgusted. I hope he reads these reviews.

Been calling in for the past 12 months. Never had a bad meal, everything is well cooked & waiting time is not too long. Friendly staff & reasonably priced drinks..Can't fault it!

Me and my mum often come for breakfast and have eggs benedict which is normally lovely but time before it was cold so we tried something different. Went and ordered as normally lovely girl behind the bar but whilst we were still eating a lad and a young girl who was obviously being trained came and interrupted our meal and cleared our plates whilst I was still finishing my breakfast which is awfully rude! I work in this industry and I know that that’s wrong practice

Really disappointed with my meal at The Queens today. Ordered the vegan curry and when it came it was luke warm, had the consistency of soup and was swimming in what I can only describe as orange oil (my guess is someone stirred the vegan pot with the same spoon as the chicken tikka masala - naughty cross contamination!). Sent it back and ordered the 5 bean chilli. This arrived with a small spoonful of chilli in the bowl, rice and 6 tortilla chips. It had clearly been microwaved and was hard on top. It looked like a child's portion and was frankly, horrible. I chose not to send it back as I was on a work tea with a client and did not want to waste any more time. I don't know how many chefs they have there but the more I go the more inconsistencies I find and the more disappointed I am with most of my meals being unacceptable. I will not be eating there again which is a shame because it is my local eatery.

Food is really good. Cheap great value for money..... a lot better than previous visits when it first opened. Advacado and bacon bagal is gorg and breakfast very good value for money

Popped in here on our way back from the zoo. Quite a large place with space at the back for a few cars to park. Managers special on at the time and I choose the sirloin steak as the mixed grill had all gone. Cooked as I ordered which was a bonus.

A party of 7 of us went for our grandson 17th birthday food reasonably priced and plenty of offers on midweek. A shame that on curry night there was no rice , Mexican rice wa offered bit not quite the same with curry. A couple of us had fish chips and mushy peas which was very tasty though it be a little over cooked which was a dissapointment as it could have scored the perfect 10. Staff friendly and polite and food served promptly. We will return and we would recommend the queens for food and drink.

Been to collect a car in Worksop and wanted somewhere to stop for lunch so looked for the nearest JDW. This came up so we travelled across, parked on the pavement outside and decided to order the Doom Bar Steak & Ale pie. It was served quickly, decent portion, good temperature, very tasty so Well Done at Rotherham. You've maintained the national standard.

Normal Whetherspoons food but Ive not had a bad meal here yet. Great value for money on some meals as you get a drink included so its great value for money and the portion sizes are always decent. Ive not had steak or anything so cant comment on that but Jacket Potato and chicken wraps are lovely. Only complaint last time I was in, my niece ordered loaded chips with cheese. When they came they were not loaded and only had a small amount of cheese on top. I asked the waitress if the chef would mind putting a bit more cheese on as they are advertised as "loaded" but she said the chef probably wouldnt and I would need to ask for myself. So off I went to the cooking station and asked the chef, he firstly said no until I suggested that I would pay for extra cheese if needed. So he then decided that he would add a bit more cheese for me. Went to the bar to have to wait in a long que to pay for cheese, waited a while to then be charged £1.20!!

Just your usual Wetherspoons fayre. Had the stake, which surprisingly for a Wetherspoons was cooked to how I asked for it. Service could be a little slow. It is actually a decent size. Would have liked a little more space in between tables so you're not on top of each other as well.

Visited on a Tuesday for the steak night and thought it was really good value for money. The sirloin was a little tough but I didn't expect top quality for the price. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. Had a good experience and will be back again.

Ate here on Sunday, I had the 14oz steak cooked medium rare to perfection but too much for me to eat. The young man delivering the food was attentive and very polite (sorry I didn't get his name) the tandoori chicken starter was so succulent. An excellent value for money meal. Thank you

After a family day out, we decided to treat the kids for tea out, originally McDonald's but decided better value for money would be a Wetherspoons.....how wrong! I have been to many Wetherspoon pubs throughout the uk with my old job, so value for money and great service are normally expected and welcomed.

Teníamos bistec con patatas fritas y un buen postre cheesecake para que era genial, y disfrutamos de un par de pintas de Dukeries Fábrica rubia; un bonito bien cuidado refrescante cerveza de cítricos 3. 8% (una de las 4 cervezas a la venta ese día incluyendo Melancólico Bar). Hemos luchado para encontrar interesantes cervezas de calidad en Maltby y espero que el Queen's Hotel seguirá manteniendo el nivel. Estábamos allí para ver una obra en el centro de banda de Wesley y sin duda será diciendo a nuestros amigos para apoyar a este lugar.

Hemos estado llamando al Queens desde que abrió sus puertas, pero lamentablemente hemos visto una disminución a lo largo de los años. No parece tan limpia como solía ser, y alrededor de la zona de bar parece un poco rancio y maloliente, algunas de las cerraduras de las puertas de wc están rotas. Aunque el personal de prueba, tuvimos que pedir la mesa para ser limpiado y me di cuenta de que algunos otros no eran limpiadas después de gente había comido y a la izquierda. Es una pena ya que las bebidas y comidas están bien de precio. No disuadió.

Estábamos viajando a través de Maltby cuando nos sentimos hambre y vimos el Queens y señaló que era uno de la cadena wetherspoon. Este hecho hizo que un definitivo para nosotros ya que nos hemos comido en muchos de los pubs wetherspoon y encontrarlos muy aceptable en variedad y calidad.

Me and my family visited on Sunday for Mother's Day & also for my mums birthday, firstly we got our meals and on the menu it said it came with mushrooms, guess what no mushrooms, and that's was on all the large mixed grills, my mum asked for no chips and they said they would give tomatoes & mushrooms, guess what she got chips and no tomatoes or mushrooms, so the meal were sent back, four of us out of out of eight had finished our meals, one of the so called waitresses came over and started taking our empty plates, she lent over my mum while she were still eating to collect other plates, I didn't say anything but then she came back and started to collect the sauces of the table, as my dad went to put his folk to his mouth, the so called waitress lent over him and knocked is arm as he were about to put his food in is mouth, at that point I lost it and said excuse me, can u please come back once we have finished please, she then just said whatever, very told, first and very last time we will ever visit, shocking service & my mums birthday spoilt

In weatherspoons Maltby 2 staff on and queues from one end of bar to the other was served by a manager which would have been fine had she actually been able to manage even a smile but that was obviously beyond her capabilities. Young girl who is working obviously doing her best but is overwhelmed. 3 new desserts on menu but good luck with trying them wanted the Madagascar cheese cake but after manger mumbled something under her breath then walked away to go to the kitchen was advised can't have that because it's still frozen. Don't advertise what you can't sell. Surprising really as most of food is nuked in microwave why can't they defrost the cheesecake!!!! Result no dessert no tables cleared and lots of disgruntled customers as can't get served at the bar. We really need to find a different lunch venue!!!

I've used the Queens Hotel on numerous occasions and I have not been disappointed. Good food and good service

Local pub average food not too expensive x usually good service x good to have it in the village x great meeting place to meet up with friends and family

Friendly,food decent price,atmosphere great,good range of beers and ciders,has really become the hub for all age ranges in Maltby.

The wait to get served at the bar should have rang alarm bells! After getting drinks and deciding what to eat we again waited only to be told after about 20 mins that 3 of the meals weren't available so made another choice, poor food but it was cheap (the only saving grace) you get what you pay for and it was cheap rubbish. Will not be visiting again.

The food is average and certainly mostly made in a microwave. But I suppose you get what you pay for

Love this pub started to make it a family night on a Friday its fish and chip special and its fantastic all other meals are just as good had steak last visit cooked to liking all family enjoyed their meals drive there at minute but moving into village as buying house only to walk around cornor so its my second home for meals reasonable priced for all meals and some come with a drink included want more can you ask for

A very casual visit to this pub as I was in the area with my husband visiting his family. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the pub when we were there. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The blonde lady, I think she was the manager on duty at the time was very chatty and bubbly. Didn't stay long enough for food but certainly enjoyed our drinks and would visit again when next in the area.

I've never used trip adviser before but after visiting Wetherspoons last weekend we were given a business card asking to leave some feedback so here goes.....We visited last weekend for a meal with friends after we had been to Doncaster races, as we arrived at the pub it seamed to be a little understaffed as there was only 3 members of staff on the bar they were dressed in fancy dress and when asked what it was for we were told all about the new rum punch that they have on offer and told us all about what was in it and the new menu that Wetherspoons had released , we waited a little longer than I expected to get served but the lady who served us was very apologetic and the service we received was of a high standard she was very up beat and cheerful And was having good rapour with the other customers around us but didn't seam as though she was ignoring us but involving us..Once ordered we sat down and our meals arrived hot and tasty.. We have visited many Wetherspoons in the years and the food is what it is for the price you pay there is no need to complain. We stayed for a few more drinks and had another friendly chat with the original lady that served us, (blonde hair very cheerful and smiling) she was wearing a duty manager badge and you could tell she was a manager by how organised she was even though they were understaffed she still had time to talk to us and give us the business card, she obviously takes a lot of pride in what she does as she was not stop working the whole time we were there as well as the other 2 young lady's in the bar and the young lady clearing the floor they were all very delightful and seamed to work well together as a team, my husband bought the manager a drink when he went to get another round and she politely accepted a half. The cleanliness of the pub was ok but I think that having more staff in would have rectified this but they were all doing the very best they could. Thankyou for giving me this opportunity to leave our feedback my husband and myself will be visiting again simply to the fact that they 4 ladies on shift this evening we visited made it enjoyable for us and nothing was too much for them.

Visited this pub while visiting friends and had a meal there. The steak I ordered was cooked exactly how I asked for it.The female manager (the blonde haired one) was so cheerful and could not do enough to make our visit more welcoming. She is a credit to your company,she should be an advisor on how to run a pub. I will definitely be visiting again.

Visited for a family reunion. Lovely pub very clean unlike some there of this chain. We had a problem with two of our meals. The manager who was in that day Kerry, came straight over and apologised and get the food sorted very quickly. Would come back again.

This place is better then your normal wetherspoons chain pubs. Very clean, food is of a high standard, came out quick and presented well and any drink you can imagine. The bar staff were very friendly and they seen to be managed right by the blonde haired girl (kerry I think her name was) she was always smiling, very cheerful and all the staff seem to be happy to work there. Lovely atmosphere which was down to the team working. Thankyou I will definitely go again.

Firstly the food is excellent value for money and anyone that complains doesn't really live in the real world.. At the prices the food is spot on.. The waiting times aren't bad either.. Going onto the staff 90% of them are good at what they do and do there best when it's busy sometimes the place is abit understaffed at the bar but that's through no fault of their own and the duty managers especially recently do a good job of managing problems without causing drama... Unlike the so called bouncers at a weekend, I had a issue in there not so long ago where the bouncers were very rude and made a show over nothing the blond hair manager dealt with the matter very well as I have seen her do on numerous occasions when including drunks she goes about it the right way telling em politely to leave and come back and talk about it when sober which earns the respect of the public etc overall every pub has it's downfalls but wetherspoons has been a good thing for Maltby but could clean up on a few 'rules' eg last entry times etc it would cause them a lot less problems

Before we start its pub grub from wetherspoons we all know that I've had a breakfast here and it was shocking but I had mixed grill and it was was great but I was full of beer lol so you know what your getting but it's a great place for a drink and a catch up so pop down and make your own mind up , the beers great and the foods hit and miss.

It was the first time I visited the Queens since it was refurbished. The meal was tasty and hot. The service was prompt. The surroundings very nice. It's a spacious pub which has good access for disabled customers including a lift from the car park. You pay for your food at the bar & there are food themed days (eg. curry / steak/ chicken days) when the price is discounted. As it was 'chicken' day I had the roast chicken but as I am gluten free the staff very kindly served it without the sauce.

Had breakfast here two day running and cannot complain at all about this. The value was excellent and service quick and polite. It is a Whetherspoons and they are all the same, food is great value especially on one of the club nights but they are so busy with this that cleanliness takes a battering. We went in again on Friday night for a meal and it was extremely busy because of the cheap drink and because we did not choose Fish and Chips (which was the 'club' night special and did look good) our meals were not good at all. my wife had chicken skewers which were very dry and tough, and I had the pie which was also poor. Wine was good though and glasses clean which is not the case in my local Whetherspoons. my review is for the evening meal not the breakfast which i cannot fault.

we had 3 hot chocolates that were luke warm and very sweet when we took them back we got no response from staff and had to pay for three more drinks the scamppi was burnt and overall the food was dissappointing we were a family of five who went out for lunch together and it was the worst meals weve had in a long time.

just your regular spoons serving their cheap food and beer at very reasonable prices. Great value for money especially the 'meal specials' they have on during the week.

Called in between business calls to eat. Service great and friendly. Good quick which was what was needed. Quality of food good. You get what you expect here. Good experience.

It is a huge barn of a place and this was my first experience of a dinner in a Wetherspoons and I was knocked out by the value for money of the 'Steak Club' night. An 8oz Sirloin steak for £6.09! It was perfectly cooked and excellent quality meat but the chips were a bit rubbish even by frozen chip standards. Next time I am in a Wetherspoons I'll have the 'skinny' option - a salad instead of chips!A real bonus is the various menus they have for those with allergies but the big letdown was the state of the Gents' toilets. I mentioned this to my wife and she said the Ladies' were the same.

This wonderful building is spoiled by the lack of cleanliness the tables when wiped are left sticky and there is food on the floor. The food is excellent value and doesn't disappoint, however the front of house staff unfortunately do not operate to the same standards as the kitchen staff. Try to avoid using the toilets if possible as again the hygiene is extremely poor.
