Good food lovely country pub run by very nice publican, good range of beers,been many times and will be going again, without doubt.

I am sure on a good day it is fantastic. The beer is great and the staff we met were excellent. However, we had planned to eat there and although they were serving .... according to the website ... Unfortunately the landlord had gone to the races and so we left with our appetites unfulfilled. Will try another day with fingers crossed.

Shame there eas no food available, but some good beers and nice welcome. Billesdon worth a visit to walk from.

We’re on holiday in Billesdon for a few days and went to The Queen’s Head for lunch. Great, warm and friendly welcome from the jovial landlord. Really good home-cooked food. Had lunch there, the two of us, and then went back the following day as a party of five. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. We highly recommend this great pub and it’s fabulous food. We ate at this pub last year on holiday 2023, and returned this year 2024 and we’ll be back, we hope, next year…! It’s our favourite pub around the Rutland area. Thank you.

Six of us had a birthday celebration lunch. We all enjoyed our meals, efficiently served, piping hot, excellent chips. The menus are on a chalkboard -fine with me - and a variety of pub favourites are served, simple but done very nicely and good value. Had a Theakston's mild to wash it down. The bar area is comfortable and unpretentious with various interesting antique farming artefacts on display. A proper village pub, I'd like to visit again.

A friend and I meet here periodically as the mid-point, more-or-less between our respective houses. We like it a lot. Nice vibe & nice (well kept) beer selection. We reside in the bar which is tiny with low ceilings and head bump hazards everywhere, making for an intimate and cosy atmosphere. It really is very quaint. We don't bother looking for anything else as this is just the ticket. There is a more expensive restaurant area (through the door that we do not pass). I have eaten in the restaurant but not since about late 2016, so my memories of a very agreeable experience are somewhat dated now, but perhaps still current.

Went for Sunday lunch today and as always the Sunday roast was lovely beef and Yorkshire pudding and plenty of fresh veg. Mark and his wife always make you welcome and the rest of the staff are very friendly. The menu is good I've tried a lot of different meals here and if you prefer salad instead of lots of chips they always try to do this for you. I would certainly recommend this pub it will be worth it.

The best quality abuse coupled with humour you’re likely to hear from a professional barman ever he knows the name of every person in the bar I may call in every now and then but always makes me feel like I’m a local. Cheers Mark.

Nice welcoming. A half hour wait for food with only 2 tables of x2. Steak was Overcooked. Sides were fine. For the price I expected better.

The meal was very nice. Cooked well and tasty. There was a choice of about 12. 2 vegetarian included. Not many choices. But no starters. A mistake. Even some bread and olives would be nice. We were never offered the desserts menu, so we went straight to coffee. All in all a reasonable trip. But with so many better places, I shall not be rushing back.

Great food much of it home cooked, terrific value with quality. All the pub favourites and specials. The best steak and ale pie I've had in ages. Nice beers and friendly atmosphere created by the locals and a wonderful landlord.

Had a lovely home cooked meal for 6 all arrived together and was pipping hot. Had delicious pudding all round and very friendly service.

First time visit for lunch, very impressed with wide range of choice on menu, looking forward to an evening visit.

My first and probably last visit to this place, due tovits being the only pub in a small village I passed through! Not a menu to be seen, but chalk boards at one end of the bar! There was only a very small selection of food available. The wait time was not unacceptable and the meal of fish and chips was good value for money. I cant say the same for the drinks but, the place is, run for profit!

Great Quality Sunday Lunch, unfortunately ruined by the fact we were a table of seven on a table that was nowhere near big enough for seven people. When the next table became available (nearing end of lunchtime but before our food arrived) we were told we COULDN’T move the tables together, however two of us could sit on the table, not the best result for a family lunch. So if you plan to visit yourselves, as a group check you can all sit together.

We'd not been for a few years, but The Queen's Head hasn't lost any of its quality. Delicious food, good beer and a warm welcome.

Friendly local pub where people go for a quiet chat. A mix of regulars and passers through pop in but it's rarely busy. Saturdays there is often a band on from 7:30pm. An Everards pub the two regular beers are Tiger and Old Original which are £3.45 & £3.65 a pint respectively. Big Apple cider is also sold from a hand pump for £3.65. Larger ranges from £3.70 for Carling to £4.20 for 1664 or Moretti. There is also a wide range of flavoured Gin - the landlady Glin is something of a connoisseur. Food is served daily from 11am ish til early evening and is priced between £5.35 for a sandwich up to £12.95 for the mixed grill. An 8oz rump steak with chips is £10.95.

Called unannounced on Sunday pm in early September after 10 mile walk along the Leicestershire Round on warm day: priority was to quench thirst and we were made welcome and served quickly and efficiently. Impressed on our sole visit.

Visited this establishment with friends who live in a nearby village. My Wife and I had Sunday lunch with lamb; it was absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced too. Would definitely pay this business another visit when we are in the area again. Service was swift and friendly too.

I had mini haddock, chips and mushy peas. Was a bargain and probably more filling than the sandwich I was meaning to have. Would definitely go back 😊

No vayas si quieres un refresco como a 3 libras. 50 por una pinta de Coca-Cola Light que verdaderamente estafado, además de £2 por una soda y costo lime £9 por 3 refrescos. Una auténtica pena, el pub y los jardines son preciosos y habría de volver para una comida, pero dada su ubicación no desea tener hijos o ser el conductor, ya que necesitas una hipoteca para volver a permitir. La señora loca estúpida precios acordados eran tierras para mí, pero afirma que no son su hacer, nunca he sido cargado como este en otros pubs everads y bebida en uno regularmente. El servicio de bar también era increíblemente lento.

We live close by so often go, always welcoming, good service, good food & value for money. Good crowd too!
