Had dinner here last night, really fab food. Hubby is still talking about his duck cassoulet. Good size portions, and great service as always..

Came here for a Saturday lunch for my mums birthday and it was excellent. Service brilliant and delicious food! I had the sausage and mash and it was just Beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with the food. They allow dogs too which was great. Will definitely be back!

Wasn’t the best dinner we had, food was on the small side, sausage and mush, but no side dish at all, not even mustard sauce was serviced. Shame really normally the food been great but this time round not worth the price as the portions are small…

I would like to make known how bad our experience was at this pub and we would not recommend it to anyone. First of all the main bar maid was beyond rude and unfriendly; she made it clearly visible how much she didn’t want to be there. Secondly our roasts were overall not good. I had requested a nut roast with a veggie gravy side. I personally selected this pub as I do not eat mushrooms and the options for vegetarians that do not include mushrooms are very limited. When the roast came it was not in fact a ‘nut roast’ but a mushroom Wellington, which deemed it inedible for me. The rest of the sides including the potatoes and veg were beyond undercooked and the food was not hot. Do not go!

Really enjoyed our visit, the staff were really friendly, the food was so very nice and was cooked perfectly, the pub had a really nice atmosphere with a village crowd eating / drinking and relaxing. My other half loved it. I asked the staff for a wait time on the food and he went and checked and sure enough started to plate our table minutes later. It was worth the wait. We were not sure if we had been charged for service as one receipt says we have and another says VAT ? If we haven’t paid the service please reply to me and I’ll drop cash in. You may want to check that so people aren’t paying the vat thinking it’s well deserved service charge / Tronc , the table qr letter says it’s service charge?Look forward to coming back next week.

Amazing roast dinners plus the burger & fish and chips are epic food! Food is always consistently good and great choice of drinks too. Highly recommend!

El pub tiene medidas adecuadas de covid y me gustó que puedas pedir en tu móvil.Todos mis amigos disfrutaron de sus asados de carne y pollo, sin embargo, podrían haber estado un poco más calientes. Mi asado de nueces fue un poco decepcionante: el pan tostado de nueces era demasiado dulce con albaricoques y arándanos, y en general la comida estaba seca con poca o ninguna salsa.Me gustaría volver otro día de la semana para probar su menú habitual, ya que todos mis amigos disfrutaron de sus comidas y parece un pequeño pub agradable en Walthamstow Village.

Visitamos en pareja para tomar una copa alrededor de las 4 pm. Éramos los únicos en el lugar y tuvimos un problema al principio para resolver su sistema de pedidos en la mesa. No me molesté en ayudar hasta que mi esposa preguntó cómo se hacía. El propietario dijo entonces que podía hacer la orden sin usar su sistema. Las bebidas se entregan en la mesa, lo cual es bueno para los problemas de virus, ¡pero luego cobran por el servicio! ! ! Las bebidas son caras para empezar sin agregar un cargo por servicio. Pub en la calle hace lo mismo pero no cobra por el servicio de mesa y una bienvenida mucho mejor. No teníamos comunicación excepto para pagar. No visité este lugar por un tiempo, pero ciertamente no volveré.

We've eaten here before pre-COVID and whether it is due to the situation, the menu is far more restricted. My Risotto was very nice but my husband said the fish and chips were average. I don't think we'll bother again until things are back to normal

Great place. They've got the Covid-19 under control in a relaxed and pleasant manner. ut make sure you take your smart phone.

Great food and atmosphere even though fewer tables.

Nut roast was disappointing . It had a lot of dry apricots which made it sweet. Vegs were lovely. The service was amazing as always.

It is a classy joint situated in a classy spot. What more can I say.

Very easy to book a table. Great scanning system that meant speedy service with some great smiles from staff members. Not being rushed from the table was a bonus too.

Only came for a drink. Waited 25 minutes for two pints of beer. Left afterwards. Many other pubs around have much better or quicker systems. Pub was heavily staffed so no excuse there just a poor system. Hopefully better when covid isn't around.

Lovely food as always. The team did a great job with the new social distancing measures. Felt safe and enjoyed the night.

Great food but extremely noisy due to the wooden floors

Reduced menu because of the pandemic but the pub have done a brilliant job of setting up social distancing and you order everything from your table via a QR code. The fish and chips were the most delicious I think I’ve eaten in a long time and the cocktails were lovely. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!

Fantastic pub! Great veggie options. Will not disappoint

Lovely pub and we sat outside in the sun. Ordered within seconds which was fab. That being said my friend ordered the kids but roast for £7.50 and I ordered the adults for £14.50. They looked almost the same so we counted the food and the only difference was that she had a smaller Yorkshire pudding... not worth the £7 extra, as you might imagine!!

Lovely food, good service and a really nice pub with regard to surroundings. Only things that detracted were the high prices and there was rubbish attracting lots of flies and ants in one corner of the beer garden which caused us to move tables three times.

The Queen's Arms was the first pub I booked after lockdown measures were eased, and I I'm so glad I went. At the moment, they don't have a full menu, which is understandable, but we enjoyed everything we had. The beetroot burger and venison burger were lovely, and the system they have in place for ordering food and drinks was easy enough to use. After our meal, we were able to enjoy more drinks in the beer garden, which made booking at this pub a good choice over a restaurant, where we'd have to leave as soon as we finished.

Really lovely to be back. Great ambiance, handled new measures beautifully and everyone was super friendly. Had the best fish n chips ever.

Excellent quality food and very, very good value for money. Real attention to detail was shown with each course on the well-sized menu and this was complemented by friendly, attentive service. Will certainly come back for more!

Esta es la segunda vez que hemos comido en The Queens Arms y nuevamente estábamos lejos de estar decepcionados. Me había puesto en contacto con el pub de antemano ya que no tengo gluten y quería preguntar qué podía tener del menú a la carta. La comunicación del pub fue muy buena. Me dieron todas las opciones que podría tener, incluidos algunos platos con los que podría tener pan sin gluten. También mencionaron que están buscando expandir su rango libre de gluten, que siempre es excelente.El Queens Arms es un pub encantador y todos son muy amables. El ambiente es agradable e íntimo y podría ser romántico con las velas, etc. Nos llevaron a nuestros asientos después de tomar una copa del bar. Si quieres comer aquí, te aconsejo reservar ya que cada mesa estaba reservada y es un restaurante muy pequeño. Gran zona de bar sin embargo. Pedimos que comenzara el Edamame que compartimos. Pequeño aperitivo perfecto, también genial si te gustan las especias. Luego pedí la lubina que era tan sabrosa con un lado de Jersey Royals y mi novio pidió la tarta de pollo que disfrutó muchísimo. Estábamos demasiado llenos para los postres, pero en cambio tomamos un par más de bebidas. No nos apuraron en absoluto para dejar nuestra mesa y obtener la factura y pagar no fue difícil. Nosotros definitivamente estaremos de vuelta. Probablemente volver a comer un asado, ya que fue tan bueno la última vez.

If you’re vegan there’s very little choice on a Sunday. Also the main course dish I had was the size of a starter so not great value for £12. If you’re a meat eater the Sunday Roasts look very nice. There are a cluster of tables by the toilet so best to ask for a table near the front of the pub if you have a sensitive nose! Service was Ok but it really is overpriced for what it is. Nice presentation and good ingredients but not as hearty as it all sounds. We all had something to eat when we got home to fill up!

The service and house wine was good. The food portions for Sunday Roast were too small considering the meal wasn’t cheap. Also, the roast potatoes were under cooked.

Really friendly pub in Walthamstow Village, this was my second visit for Sunday lunch. The food is really good and roast potatoes were excellent, really crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just as they should be. Sides for the beef are a little unusual along with swede and carrots were kale and beetroot n but very nice all the same. The pub is dog friendly, with a good atmosphere and very good service. Only drawbacks are that it is a tad expensive and the Pork and Chicken dishes do not come with Yorkshires, which is a shame. Would still recommend a visit though.

Roast was nothing to shout about, pretty poor for the price..was a shame really as the website looked good!

El sábado fui a almorzar con mis hijos y mis nietos. Decir que es amigable para los niños es un eufemismo. Los cochecitos y las sillas de paseo se disputaron el espacio, pero de alguna manera esto no parece afectar el nivel de servicio. Degustación fabulosa, enorme salchicha y puré de mostaza que realmente tuvo una patada. Aunque el lugar estaba atascado, la cocina mantenía un buen ritmo y el servicio era amable. Volvería otra vez cuando en la zona.

Went with friends for Sunday lunch. Food was really nice just wasn't much of it. Could have done with more than two potatoes and a few more carrots. Staff were really friendly and love the chilled atmosphere. Would go again.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Great choice: we had two pate dishes to start followed by one chicken, one beef and one very lovely sea bass. Chocolate pudding with honeycomb for pudding. Great table service. All very prompt. Lovely waiting staff. Excellent value. Very good. I'll be back!

Ordered 4 roasts; 3 Chicken and 1 beef. All chicken overcooked, RUMP steak was tough, not the right beef for a roast dinner. All roast potatoes were burnt and dark brown in colour - difficult to cut, let alone eat! Not sure how food was allowed to leave the kitchen. Was allowed not to pay for the food but I insisted we pay for the 2 rounds of drinks we had. The guy that allowed us not to pay for the meal asked me what drinks we had, I told him and then I paid in full. On the way home my husband pointed out that he actually paid for the first round at the bar on our arrival - only 1 round should have been on the bill !!!!! so I was overcharged as well on the drinks. When I booked the table on line there was a section that asked if it was for an occasion - I ticked 'Birthday' - that wasn't even mentioned. All 4 of us left hungry and very disappointed, which was a shame.

This local pub recently started serving breakfast in Saturdays. The veggie full English is fantastic and unbelievable value! Highly recommended start to your weekend

My friend and I had a lovely evening. Food and service was very good, noise levels were not excessive and the ambience was very nice and friendly. We will definitely return and I would recommend it.

Overall feeling was very much a adult/family vibe which was great. Service was on form, lovely staff and the food was tasty. Ordered the smoked cheese burger and wasn't disappointed. Would recommend, such a nice area too. 👍

Come here several times a year when visiting friend and we always have a meal here. Relaxed and friendly environment. Good food from a menu that is regularly updated.

The food was poor quality and overpriced. We ordered fish pie but it was cold in the middle. We then changed our orders and the food that cake wasn’t great either. It’s a nice pub with good atmosphere for a drink but I won’t eat there again

I would highly reccomend the Queens Arms to a friend. The menu is fairly traditional but service quality and food is high, staff and friendly and general experience is repeatable and excellent.

We absolutely love Walthamstow Village and are willing to travel all the way from Essex just to have a couple of hours here. We wanted a roast dinner this particular Sunday but since becoming Gluten Free its hard to find places that will accommodate. Luckily the Queens Arms does Gluten Free gravy. Hooray! Everyone's a winner! We have eaten here before and we thoroughly enjoyed it back then and let me tell you nothing has changed. We managed to find a table for the 4 of us as we hadn't booked and it was bang on lunch time (we pushed 2 small tables together) and proceeded to order our food. Seeing as the pub was very busy we didn't have to wait long for our food. The roasts came piping and looked perfectly cooked. The beef was lovely and pink. The potatoes were perfect even though one more would have ben nice as you only get 2. I probably should have asked to substitute my Yorkshire pudding for an extra potato as they weren't gluten free. Anyway no matter maybe I'm just being greedy. The roasted beetroot was so flavoursome and the cabbage nice and buttery. My boyfriend lucked on the Yorkshire pudding situation as he had pork and obviously didn't get one until he HAD to have mine. I did try some of his pork and it was lovely. It includes a bit of crackling. I personally think I lucked out as the pork did seem a lot smaller. Both roasts had lashings of gravy and plenty left at the end...this is where the extra potato would have come in handy. We washed our roasts down with a glass of white wine and IPA beer. The pub does a wide selection of drinks which is great. It has a lovely atmosphere with families and friends and also is dog friendly! No complaints from my end apart from it is quite pricey but that's London for you. Its fine to do now and again as a treat but it was £41 for 2 roasts and 2 drinks. So just be aware.

The food was great although more veg would have been welcome. The service was friendly and helpful. However, we were surprised, as a party of just two, that the bill showed a service charge of 12.5% had been added. We didn't remember seeing this on the Sunday menu (and of course, it had by this time, been removed from the table, but we paid. Afterwards we checked the main menu displayed outside and it said (in small print) that it was a discretionary service charge. We are happy to pay a service charge if we're part of a large party (6/8 or more), but felt it was over the top for just two people.

Great food and atmosphere as always. A lot of new staff on training so service was a bit more hit and miss than usual, but still friendly and helpful as is always the case here.

Just got back from a lovely Sunday lunch and was surprised with the negative comments people have given it on here! We both ordered the chicken roast dinner which was just the right size and cooked perfectly. We especially liked the stuffing and both said we could eat a whole plate of it. In addition, we had the cheesecake to share between us which was lovely and light and went down well after a big dinner. Service was also very good with the staff polite and the food coming out quickly even though the pub was busy with big groups of people eating. Agree with people that it is a little on the pricey side but considering the location and the quality of the food, it is definitely worth the money. We will be back!

Me cobraron casi dieciséis libras por una tarta de pescado muy pequeña y muy líquida y unas cuantas cintas de repollo. Conté un trozo de salmón, casi nada de puré, demasiado queso. No estoy seguro de a qué "nivel" se está llevando el Gastropub. Iré a comer 17 la próxima vez.

We were really looking forward to eating at the Queens Arms as the reviews have been really good and we knew you had to book in advance as it is really popular. We were seated in the main part of the pub which is quite lively on a Saturday night..next time I would request a table in the area nearer the garden, and book an earlier time. The service started off ok, our waitress seemed friendly enough but a couple of dishes on the main menu were already off, always a bit disappointing. There were a couple of specials but no vegetarian specials which was a shame. The food came pretty quickly and the waitress topped up our water without being asked which was great. The wine was also good. However, after our plates had been cleared by another waitress, we were then pretty much left alone and had to ask for the bill, no effort was made to ask us if we would like puddings or coffee, which we may well have ordered, or to let us know if we did want to order then the kitchen would be closing after a certain time.. AS it was a friends birthday evening out, I did not want to make a fuss, but I did let the management know and explained how the service seemed to really tail off after our mains were cleared and they had missed out on a pudding order. All in all, for a gastropub it is a good place to eat, but I would not choose it again as we have had better, friendlier attentive service at another pub nearby and maybe Eat 17 or the Village Kitchen would have been better choices for a special birthday. Shame, we were disappointed as the actual pub building is amazing. Will stick to drinking there next time.

He querido visitar el Queen's Arms desde que leí que tenían un nuevo chef hace un tiempo. Visitamos a las 2. El domingo 30 para el almuerzo con amigos y me sorprendió gratamente la tranquilidad de la sala principal. Habíamos reservado una mesa pero había un montón de espacio. Personal extremadamente amable y servicial, dispuesto a responder las diversas preguntas que teníamos sobre la comida y la bebida. Encantador plato de berenjena y calabacín con cubos de un delicioso queso cremoso que me dijeron que era un feta vegano cuando pregunté. ¡Estaba impresionado! También tuve el asado de nueces, que venía con una generosa cantidad de verduras y un gran pudín de Yorkshire. Esto fue bastante quemado en la parte inferior, pero por supuesto que lo comí de todos modos y fue encantador con la salsa. Compartimos tres postres diferentes: el pudín de toffee pegajoso y el sorbete de naranja de sangre fueron excepcionales. Personalmente, me hubiera gustado una selección más amplia de cervezas con bajo contenido de alcohol porque las dos que se ofrecen son lager y prefiero algo menos gaseoso. Dicho esto, el recomendado por el camarero era delicioso. Vale la pena una visita.

Slightly smaller portions than usual, this may be due to it being a busy day, Fathers Day. But overall really lovely. They even let us stay at the table for longer as the next booking wasn't for a while after.

Our Sunday lunch was tasty, with some interesting vegetable accompaniments. It was, however, not much more than lukewarm, despite the fairly early service. The pub does get very busy around 1.00 pm.

Lovely food and service, do not like the seating for two people. Because we booked we were given little table against the wall. People who hadn't booked given a four seat table. Next time will ask for a better table. Will definitely return for the food.

El personal es muy amable y el servicio excelente. Los entrantes de berenjena y caballa eran deliciosos. Sin embargo, nos sirvieron un minúsculo filete de lubina en una cama de samphire y col rizada con tomates cherry. Este plato era tan caro alrededor de 13. 50. Podría haber hecho con 3 filetes de este tamaño para hacer una porción decente y también la adición de un lado de la patata. La comida era sabrosa sin embargo no volvería a comer aquí. Otros tenían pollo y carne asados que estaban bien, pero normal. Muchos otros restaurantes locales para elegir.

Mother days : Nice Place and very busy , TBH food was average and very pricey for what you get on the plate ( think big plate not much on it ) , we also had a vegetarian child with us so asked for a dinner without any meat and was still changed full price . cost us will over £££ On the positive note , the staff were friendly and I liked the pale ale they served

Always really good food. Slightly pricier than your average Gastropub but never had a bad meal there and even when the service is mildly inept it’s always keen and helpful.

Great pub in Walthamstow village but more veg please with the roast please!

I live locally and have been here quite a few times. The bar is nice and airy, staff pleasant and service polite but the food is terrible!! Every time I leave I say I am never going back but then a few months may pass and I give it the benefit of the doubt and have something to eat which is always a big mistake. My recent visit 6/3/19 we arrived at 5.30om and the kitchen was not ready to make any mains so we both ordered the smoked chicken and avocado salad, it was dire, soggy salad leaves with dry smoked chicken slices and cubes avocado in what was described as a goddess salad dressing that was bland and tasteless! We left hungry and dissapointed. As a pub for a drink fine but do not eat here if you love food you will be dissapointed.

Lovely selection of dishes and smart, cosy dining area at the back means you get the buzzy pub vibe without the noise / cramped. Delicious wine and tasty food.

Went for Sunday lunch; service was very prompt and helpful. The beef was fine but the roast potatoes were sadly disappointing. They were the all too common industrial standard found in restaurants I.e. Boiled with surface roasting - no crispy fluffy edges; not at all how many of us fondly remember home cooked roasts. So would I rush back - no, was it a reasonable experience - yes.

Lovely food in a great cosy pub. Perfect spot for a chilly Monday evening dinner. Great staff.
