Re: Buns - Vegan Do Not Order! The bun was awful in texture, flavour, and size - it was also completely soggy. The burger was poorly made and presented. The chips did not have the iconic rosemary salt flavour. I really wish I hadn't ordered this. A waste of money and calories. I expected the burger would be less than amazing before I ordered so my hopes weren't super high but this obliterated my expectations and was way worse than I anticipated.

Food was delicious and they offer a decent amount of vegan options with lovely red buns. Served quickly with friendly service and adapted the kids menu to provide a vegetarian/vegan burger too. Retro game machine to play for free which daughter loved. Sadly was completely empty except for us on a Saturday night which felt surprising. Chips could honestly do with a good few minutes more cooking but other than that brilliant.

I made the trip after work on a rainy January night especially for their haggis burger special and was not disappointed! Great creative burger cooked perfectly with excellent ingredients. Haggis was superb. Brioche buns keep their integrity. Love that all burgers come with (good!) chips as standard. Must return to try everything else on the menu - the chicken and the hotdogs look delicious. Decent vegan options too. All prices very reasonable, esp for quality & serving sizes (i couldn't finish my fries). Staff are super friendly and caring; venue nicely set up to dine in with a pint too. Doesn't feel like a take-out joint. Well done Buns Walthamstow!

Ate in, asked for burger well done, it wasn't. Finished my meal before mayonnaise arrived. Sat there for 10 mins wondering if I should eat the Chips or wait for mayo to arrive by which time they were getting cold. Also had to wait for glass of water and milkshake to arrive long after the food and it wasn't that busy. Female worker seemed like she didn't want to be there. Terrible for the price

Great food. I order take away burgers from them often and Im always happy! They are delicious and good portion size. I usually get the chicken option and my husband gets the beef. Both are always really delicious.

First time eating here today… Very nice one of the nicest vegan burgers!. Chips were lovely crispy and flavoured, hotdog 🌭 was massive and packed with flavour. Chicken bites were tasty too!. Mac n cheese filling, Everything we ate was just tasty!.

Thought to try out this place and it was amazing. The burgers are cooked to perfection and the staff are great. After one of the things we ordered were not available Aaron went above and beyond expectations to make sure everything was taken care off. Credit to the company.

We had a very warm welcome from Aaron, very friendly, thoughtful service throughout and the food was fantastic - particularly loved the buffalo chicken burger with blue cheese sauce and the nachos - but everything tasted great. Great for kids too, son loved his food and the arcade game, we will be back!

Buns used to be by far and away the best burger place in the area, but over the last year they have really dropped in quality. The actual patties are no longer anywhere near as good and the overall care in preparation has fallen. They are still pretty solid, but nowhere near where they once were. Edit Nov 2021. Awful. Tonight we ordered popcorn chicken and got diced chicken burger. The bloody mary sauce had spilled everywhere. The sour cream for the halloumi had become sweet chilli sauce. The fries limp. Honestly, other than the wings with Guanggong the rest of the menu is now appalling. I loved this place, but unless they up there game they deserve to close. Edit Nov. 2022 I recently had another order from here and it appears that things have improved markedly. And I am very glad, their burgers when good, are the best in the area.

Ordered for delivery here and unexpectedly it was without a doubt the best vegan burger and hot dog I’ve ever had! Truly delicious, really soft buns which tasted fresh and amazing flavours in both the hotdog and burger which is a real gem to find in vegan options. Really great find and delivered so fast! ordered a burger, fries and oreo milkshake for a friday treat. It was amazing. hit the right spot. Loved the cute bottle that the milkshake was delivered in too. Very useful. i asked for the burger to be medium cooked and it was perfectly executed. Fries great too. Delivery was fast so the food didnt get cold and i had a lovely satisfying meal.

Like the ambience at the first sight and although went to eat some sweet deserts but they are mainly a hot food eatery and did not try food yet but the interior suggested I might be pulled.....Tempting does it sound,in'it? You better bet.......forks will be out soon lads

We found Buns whilst looking for somewhere to eat. The decor was really interesting, and we got a really friendly reception. But the real find was the food. I had a double patty burger, and to call it a burger just doesn't do it any justice at all. It was without doubt the best burger I have had. It was delicious! Go find out for yourselves. It was great.

We found Buns quite by accident when looking for something to eat. And what a find. Very interesting decor, welcoming staff, and burgers to die for. The Crown burger I had was simply the best I have ever had. Beautiful flavour, and cooked to perfection. Go and get yourselves a treat.

Only half the order was sent out, clear restaurant error. Buns refused to help "it's a Just Eat problem". Only option from just eat is a refund in a few days. Meanwhile, we're still hungry.

***PLEASE READ*** I feel bad for having to leave a 2 star review as I come here regularly and the food here is absolutely phenomenal, However the customer service in store lately has been terrible. I came in store recently with a friend to eat in and was greeted by a young eastern European lady who was very rude. She was playing some type of eastern European gangster rap very loudly on the shop speakers and too busy with her friend behind the counter to take my order. They were both very loud and unprofessional and talking about things that i believe are too inappropriate to leave in this review section. Her friend was sitting on the floor by the toilet door making it very awkward to use. I have nothing but positive experiences with the other members of staff at buns who are absolutely brilliant and set the bar for working in hospitality but this girl is letting the shop down and setting a horrible example.

This was for a long time on the list of places travelled past frequently that looked interesting to try but never had the time to do so. Finally visited and chose to dine-in, and the experience was really amazing. Tasty food and shakes, a good variety of meat and vegan options, friendly staff, eye-catching interior design and an all round fantastic vibe from Buns that made our day! Strongly recommend the Nachos as a starter.

Only had the buffalo chicken burger, and sat in to eat. The member of staff on was super friendly, and the burger was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

You're running a food business run it properly and send out a cheap tub of Mayo with every order as standard cos the hand full of chips Which I pay through my nose for are soggy and dry and bit of Mayo is not to mutch to ask is it?. Now wen a customer request it by phone stating order N and is ignored is bad practice, Hence Y I leave honest review.. for fellow foodies

Good food. Wings were cooked just how I like them. The Buffalo sauce needs some work I think the sauce was just store bought but buffalo needs to be cut with vinegar and butter to make it any good. Fries were good. Will try a burger next time

Great customer service with excellent and delicious food

Ordered for lunch earlier today via Deliveroo. The vegan burger was ok but not great, the fries lacked flavour and therefore were quite boring but the main issue and reason for leaving a one star review was the vegan milkshake. Having paid £6.90 for pretty much a total of 250ml it's safe to say the Buns sticker on the bottle of "eat, drink, smile" made me very angry. I understand vegan ingredients can cost more but charging this much for so little takes the biscuit and shoves it up my arse.

Can't count the amount of times I've literally walked past this place and ignored it. Not anymore. For my wings fix this is the only place relevant. Wings are a healthy size and the glazings are all lovely. I strongly recommend Buns. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

2 hours to arrive, burger had no bun on top, everything cold, wings were tiny and dry, chips were soggy. This is the last time I order from buns, it’s always missing at least one item and it always takes forever to come. It’s getting worse each time.

Ordered all hail the cheese and the buffalo online to collect. Order time was quick. The chicken was dry and chewy. The beef was dry and crumbly even though I'd ordered it be cooked medium. The chips were really nice, crispy and well cooked. Shame about the burgers. Wouldn't recommend.

Incredible. The buffalo chicken bite things are the best food in E17. Had them three days in a row! Burger and fries were good too but it was the boneless buffalo chicken bites that made this just exceptional.

I do not like to put a business down, but unfortunately I am really disappointed with the food we ordered and had to throw away all the burgers we ordered! Luckily I ordered Chicken Caesar and my kids had that. I will give a little insight both children said the southern chicken burger was very chewy and tough and my husband said the all hail the cheese burger was very bland and soggy bun with the amount of sauce.

Absolutely vile. Ordered via Uber eats and asked for well done . It was pink inside and arrived cold. By far the worst burger I’ve ever attempted to eat (went in the bin). Called to speak with manager and waited days for a call back as they’re not based in branch apparently . Customer service was awful and manager was uninterested when he returned my call. Would not recommend

I had the all hail burger with extra bacon with a side of garlic curly fries, bbq dip, and blue cheese dip. It was honestly the best burger I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The sauce was gorgeous, the salad was just the right amount and the burger itself was cooked to a perfect medium. Thank you for the amazing service

We ordered burgers and fries from this place on sunday and spent over £40 expecting the food to be great. It arrive after an hour and 15 minutes cold, soggy, the gherkins and lettuce in my burger were brown. We also ordered wings and they arrive dry and tough. We just couldn’t eat it. I have logged a complaint with just eat and was told I’d have a call back to discuss and I’ve not heard anything. The whole experience has been disgraceful. Never again!!

Top drawer burger restaurant, originally run from the kitchen at the nearby Duke pub on Wood St. Everything I've tried on the menu, which adheres to a winning formula and strikes the balance between hipster and gourmet perfectly, has been consistently excellent, with beef burgers cooked to the customer's liking and to order every time. Wings, popcorn chicken, vegan burgers and all of their original creations are amazing. Portions are large and there are often a few extras included when you get the food home. Lovely staff, always polite and service is great, even when they're busy. A lot of love and imagination has gone into the food and the venue and the results speak for themselves.

I ordered from deliveroo. I enjoyed the burger that was juicy and well constructed. The chips where a bit cold and soggy sadly. However, the worst was the milkshake. £5 for a 200ml bottle of milkshake that was bland and tasted watery, probably made with ice cubes. V disappointing.

I was introduced to this place a year ago by my girlfriend and I have to say I do not regret it at all. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, at first I was scared to try anything so I only got popcorn chicken and some wings but even that was mouth watering; the presentation and the portions were filling and amazing. One server was an absolute Legend, always happy and giving amazing service. But thats not the best thing about this place. The BURGERS are astronomically good, I haven’t had a burger this good in the local area at ALL, it cannot be competed with, the sauce and the meat and the BUN everything about it is scrumptious. The aesthetics of the place is also amazing, it compliments the food really well whether you’re eating at night or during the day, summer or winter, rain or shine, its a beautiful place to eat at. 10/10 I would recommend.

I used to order from this store until today.I was just crossing the road with my puppy,when one of their drivers cut us up with me having to pull my puppy out on to the curb, I asked what he was doing told him what he had done like he didn't already know!!!he looked back said shut up and walked back into the store. I called this shop and they told me none of there drivers have been in the shop!!!! Then I am told only the uber drivers have entered the shop. What he done was awful but your response was worse he was collecting food from your store if this incident turned out to be worse is that what you would say!!you care about getting orders maybe care about care about the people that order!!!!!

I ordered two All hail the cheeseburger meals and some wings through uber eats. The food was delish, however I did ask for both burgers to be cooked well done( because I get sick otherwise) but they were both pink inside so I ended up having to cook them a bit more before we ate. As I said we did enjoy it but the burger part was a bit of a let down 😒. Great quality food though!!!

If you like cold and burned over cooked meat, this is the place to eat. The bun was burnt as well... and the fries were cold and soggy. And by the way, the salt was optional. To conclude, these burgers are bad, I am quite disgusted, it was definitely not worth the almost 30£ bill we paid.

I ordered by Uber eats, waited for one hour and half for the most expensive worse cold burger ever!!! All the dish was cold, and we asked for a well done burger it was completely raw!!! Never again! Never!!!!

I saw the reviews about timing being an issue, but thought that I'd give them a chance. Boy, was that a mistake. Placed my order at 7.40, and was given an expected delivery time of 8.30, with a 'latest' time of 8.50. Fair enough. Checked my phone at 8.30 to see where the delivery was, to find that the time had been pushed back to 8.50. It was subsequently pushed to 9.05, then 9.15, then 9.25. The order finally turned up at 9.21, and to add insult to injury was cold. Not just lukewarm; absolutely stone cold. I had to pull all the salad out of the burger and put it in the oven to warm up, along with the fries. It's a shame as the burger and the fries were of high quality, the sauces were good and it had the potential to be really great. But there's clearly something very wrong here. It seems to me that they're cooking it on time, but not getting it out the the dispatch rider as mine had clearly been sitting around getting cold for a lot longer than the 5-10 mins it takes to drive to my house. I'd probably go in to them for food in the future, because it was high quality and tasty. But I wouldn't order for delivery again, because clearly their systems just aren't up to this.

Buns used to be brilliant but it has deteriorated in the last few months. I've had cold food delvered after a long wait and the nachos can be awful. On one occasion they forgot my burger. Gave them a chance tonight but after one hour 45 minutes no food. No answer on phone and now engaged. Sorry Buns won't be using you agian.

Buns when it was located in The Duke were amazing but since they moved to their own premises they have nose dived. We ordered takeaway when they first opened and it was pretty slow but stuck with them because we thought it was teething troubles. Ordered on Friday night and it took nearly two hours!! When we did eventually get it, one burger was undercooked and both meals were stone cold. We live 10 mins from the restaurant. Won't be ordering again.
