Went to see an act, the beers on offer were good and reasonable prices and the staff all friendly. Great atmosphere too

A llocals pub always a great atmosphere

Very clean and comfortable. Drinks were cheap. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Toilets were very clean. They had laid out a buffet for us which was extremely well presented. About 30 of us went for a wake on Thursday afternoon and there was plenty of space for us to mingle and plenty of seating available. Would definitely go again.

We visited a couple of times. Dan, the manager is very friendly and the pub itself has a nice feel about it and is freshly decorated. We enjoyed it.

Busy venue, great atmosphere and staff

"No dogs or children allowed at any time" this was next to the door not at the gate so surely I should be allowed to take my dog into the outside area but not in the pub.... that I understand but my dog is not allowed in the outside area at all? .... yet there is multiple kids coming in and out of this pub with there parents and I see people sat with dogs outside the pub all the time. (I live quite close). Its dependant on who's serving and they rules which is very inconsistent. We were still served our drinks but told our dog would not be able to come on the premises but I wasn'tallowed to take my drink of the premises. They made us pay for drinks that we couldnt have without making our dog wait on the sidewalk and this is unacceptable and something I would never do. Very annoyed and will never go there again.

Just called in when waiting for layton institute to open for artists to perform. Pub just a pub clientel were not what we are used to.

Proper boozer, no kids allowed, juke box, pool table, dart board and £3 a pint what more could you actually want in a pub? Staff are all top people too 👌🏼

Had a few great nights here past few days on our weekend visit..prices are great.. The drinks was excellent...the staff are great..and the band they had on this evening put the finishing touches to a great night...EXCELLENT

it was ok for me. it was both freindly and lively. a good dukebox. a big place. with pletiful room. a pool rable and various drinks. especially to help those poor peeps who live there,with those baltic icy sea winds.. to warm the cockles of their hearts! Im ALWAYS freezing wen i go near tbe sea. so wher it is lol.

Filthy bar, slow service staff on phones, as a bar supervisor I would only drink draught as the measures were not cleaned after use...owner indifferent...not good

Great locals pub Great for TV sport and local fun. Best landlady in Blackpool and this is reflected in the staff. Can get a bit noisy at times. Great beer garden, a hidden gem on a sunny day. No children allowed.

A typical local pubs wich gets busy at weekends, situated in Talbot Road heading towards layton just before the cemetery on the left. The drinks are reasonably prices and a good service. I usually go there when boxing is on it tends to bring all the amateurs boxers there as i believe the owner was a former professional boxer. The atmosphere was good a bit lively but you would expect that when there was a big boxing match. Overall i recommend it to watch boxing there.

Long established local pub, in the heart of Layton. Large rooms, incorporating pool, darts etc. Usual range of beers & spirits. Limited choice of wine. Snacks available. Nice decor & pleasant staff.

Great local pup weekly raffles and great a pint

Went here after a relative's funeral. There was a fantastic buffet put on for everyone. The barmaid was very good at her job. Great.

This pub is not to bad a place, it more of what you can call a mans pub, of course women to go in and it not bad for a meeting point before you go out, it has bingo on a Wednesday of course days can change, which is very popular, children can go in during the day but there is a cut of where kids are not allowed in, it has a small car park at the back, but remember no drinking and driving, taxis are always at hand if need be, but I believe this is a nice place for a wee drink.,

Unfortunately it's a casualty of locals making it 'their pub' reception feels cold when you walk in and I had a pint of bombardier that was like having a pint of vinegar when I told the staff they just said it's fine.Left and won't return.

Nice pub when the bands aren't on @ the weekend. Can't believe they have 1 bar person on between 2 bars. The bar lady (with the Pink hair) is very friendly & is quick as she can be but this pub needs @ least 2 bar staff. She'll always acknowledge you & smile which is rare in a pub these days ...
