Cafe Continental in Blackpool

Tried to order on Just Eats. Having waited 10 minutes I got a message to say my order was not successful. I ordered a breakfast a few weeks ago and had three items missing, and thought I'd give them a second chance, but they have just blown it. I wouldn't waste your time ordering for it to be unsuccessful.

A hidden gem in Blackpool breakfast was amazing not often I say this but no faults at all can't wait too go back

Went last saturday 2nd dec. It was freezing in the cafe, as you spoke you could see the air from your breath. Ordered 2 breakfasts. Toast was cold..not even warm, had to remind the waitress of the bread and butter we ordered, no orange juice as per the menu that was sposed to come with the breakfasts. Just 2 other tables and both tables the waitress got there orderes wrong. I cant imagine what they do when its busy. All in all, our breakfasts were ok, food was served warm as it should be, but would not return, i dont like eating with my coat on...and a waitress thats on the ball mite be a good idea.

After shopping in Blackpool we nearly made our way to a fast food chain until we walked pass the Cafe Continental. And so glad we did. The food we had was lovely and warm and tasted great. Just what we needed to warm us upon a cold November day. Will definitely call again if we are visiting Blackpool.

Great food and great value for money. No frills cafe but you can have a beer or wine with your meal. Will definitely visit again

What a shame we went there before few years ago and looks like it has changed hands went there today looks lovely and good polite staff but food oh my god where do I start it has got to be the worst burger me and wife has ever eaten in 9 years off living in blackpool sorry guys but the burger was cold for a start and you can tell it had being deep fried and was full of grease left me and the wife feeling sick all day chip's was nice but because of the burger will not be returning

If your looking for fine dining then you are in the wrong place, don't get me wrong the food was bang on the button and excellent value for money. This cafe definitely has a family feel, friendly and a nice vibe about the place.

Nice looking cafe, good varied menu, reasonably priced and good portion sizes. Felt like the cafe must be close tk closing as we felt somewhat rushed. Food was fresh and tasty and good value. However when we went to use the facilities they were not very clean at all.

We went shopping in the town Centre,after a few hours we were hungry and we called in the Cafe,we ordered the Food they were advertising on the Board outside,Lamb Cutlets,mint source,mash and Veg with a lovely Latte,really enjoyed,would call again,thankyou.

After traveling up to Blackpool for work I thought I'd pop in to what looked like a very pleasant cafe. With some tastey sounding specials on boards outside I thought I'd give it a try. The service provided by the guy on the counter was very lack lustre and borderline rude. I just didnt feel like i was wellcome at all... I just got the impression he'd had a busy day and had his fill with customers which was really a let down for someone new to the area who just wanted a quite bite to eat and a cuppa after a long morning traveling. I ordered the mince pie special with a cup of tea. The mug of tea was pretty much thrown at me before I'd even paid for the meal and the food which arrived at my table tasted like it had just been nuked in a microwave. Overall a disappointing experience from what looked like a pleasant eating establishment. Maybe I just came on the wrong day... Will I come back.... I won't rush...

As locals we visited today after two years of not being in due to covid and it was just as lovely if not better. Robert and james are lovely and i think this business is a real labour of love for them. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is lovely and very good value for money. WE will be going in again soon

I didn't even visit this place. I was getting support next door at FYCare for my mental health after I had a mental breakdown and highjacked a Blackpool bus full of passengers naked and drove them all to London.

A good honest value for money feed,superb service and lovely hot lunch.

Great place for food in Blackpool, tasty well presented and good value for money. We had an all day breakfast which was excellent and very filling. I opted for a Tuna and cheese melt, which came with chips and a side salad, the melt was on a delicious brioche style baggette. Highly recommended for food during the day, show your support local businesses.

Have been coming here for many years on our trips to Blackpool, and will continue to do so. One of the best breakfasts in the area and very friendly staff. Couldn't fault a thing

After our booking was cancelled for 12 of us at another place, we were wandering for a while looking for somewhere to eat. We we were out for the day with family and friends to commemorate my step dad passing of covid a year ago. Although this cafe was closing at 5, the manager very kindly allowed us to sit and eat there beyond 5pm. We were extremely grateful, as this allowed us a chance to sit somewhere quiet and catch up with each other. Something that was really appreciated so thank you so much. You made a sad and stressful day a little easier for us. Great food, great prices and great service.

Visited today with my mum. We visit for lunch often but today we had afternoon tea. It was amazing as usual and plenty of sandwiches, cheese and biscuits, scones and cakes. Highly recommended ....

Called in earlier for two mini breakfasts and a veggie breakfast. The veggie breakfast arrived with no vegetarian sausage or bacon on which was a bit disappointing. The food was nice and the service was good. With nice decor inside and reasonable prices.

Found this little gem of a place heading to the golden mile had breakfast (fantastic hot placed nice on plates ) noticed the specials boards outside after only having breakfast a few items caught our eye was already awaiting dinner.said we would be back the owner gave us his number so we could ring him if we couldn't find it again (he normally close around 4pm) but said he would stay open if we did return.we rang him and said we were on our way he stayed open extra time to serve us and again our specials of the day and various meals from menu where just as good as breakfast .we will return again on our next trip to Blackpool along with the other attractions of Blackpool thi s is a must visit

Friendly service and cosy seating inside. The food is amazing! All meals are under £6 and the portions are a good size, so they are excellent value for money. Was on the way to The Bank restaurant and saw the boards outside Cafe Continental, so decided to give it a go. Nice and friendly staff, excellent all day breakfast and giant Yorkie pud was delicious. Very reasonable prices and chuffed we found this little gem today.

Called in for a meal in what you can see is the Cafe Continental which has just undergone a full refurbishment inside & out.A great choice of freshly prepared meals. Popped in for something to eat and placed an order- 2 braised steaks meals, got the food covered in gravy - started to eat it and thought this doesn’t taste like braised steak ( correct they gave myself braised liver there wasn’t much to start with) by the time I had cut it up and put with the vegetables I realised that it was the liver!!!!! So I had the chips on the plate and some veg- told the man at the counter and he looked shocked, spoke to the kitchen and I was offered a desert!!Said surely I should be refunded for the mistake they had made and the reply was you have eaten some of it!!!!! As it was smoothed in gravy it was hard to see what it was I was about to eat without tasting it!!! Anyway the way it was handled after I won’t be eating in their again!! Spent £35 during the visit and if they had offered to refund only their mistake (£5) it would have at least made a difference, I thought the customer was always right , well cafe continental have a different motto!! Robert and James are my neighbors and we often get our bacon butties from them in the mornings also when i do not feel like cooking they do us a lovely Sunday Lunch and send it round.
