Sunday: What a lovely little cafe this is, it really is worth a visit, we poped in for a bite to eat I had bacon toastie and a hot chocolate ( which was delicious) my husband had beans on toast pot of tea, the service was great with friendly staff . Only criticism is don't put beans on the toast makes it soggy Monday: Before coming home, we poped in again for breakfast, and we were so glad we did, once again the food and service were brilliant. We look forward to returning to blackpool and will definitely be poping for food and drinks

An absolute gem of a place, set back from the main strip in a lovely square. We arrived quiet late in the afternoon to eat, after stummbling uopn the place. We weren't rushed in anyway. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was amazing, fresh and well presented . all washed down with a glass of wine. Prices are very reasonable. Thank you

Food is always consistent and the staff are always lovey and helpful. We have been using this cafe for many years and the staff usually know our order (even when we haven’t been for a while). We always recommend this cafe to friend and family visiting Blackpool. It is the best cafe in town centre.

I read many reports on Trip Advisor before choosing this cafe for our lunch. It seemed to tick all the boxes but as soon as the breakfast arrived I realised we had chosen wrongly. TINNED TOMATOES! For anyone cooking breakfasts I wouldn't think cooking tomatoes is difficult. Everyone I have mentioned it to has pulled their face at the thought of tinned tomatoes.

Hi, used to be great place. Recently have been overly polite to some rather a bit surly spoilt younger staff. Moody banging things on table, no eye contact, not a word of thanks despite delay in our order. We said nothing. WON'T be back.

Excellent cafe in central Blackpool. I ventured in today and enjoyed crumpets with tea. The service was faultless as was the food and drink. Spotlessly clean. I then ordered a chicken salad to take away and was so impressed. The young man who served me was extremely polite and so helpful. Excellent! 10 out of 10!

Outstanding in every way. Great sunny atmosphere and friendly staff. Menu is perfect healthy and good value. You can taste the care and pride in the food. We wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thanks a lovely experience

Lovely little cafe, serving beautiful breakfast. We have been in many cafees but this one is the best. Very clean, good portions, sausages are very good quality, food arrived quickly, polite staff. Definitely come back 😊

I was not over the moon about this place. The food was average. The service was average. I ordered a pot of tea and whole milk was served with it. There was also a sweet taste. I went back and requested skimmed milk and a fresh pot of tea which was done for me. There were three of us and only two side plates brought out for the toast. The staff were pleasant and patient. I run a BnB and will go to various cafes in order to recommend to guests if they prefer to go out for breakfast or meals. This place would be about 4th on my list to recommend from my personal experience so it's not that bad is it. I just put it as a 4 due to getting full fat milk and an average breakfast. It was value for the price.

A rustic, comfortable and often overlooked little café in Blackpool Town Centre. Though I've got to say, the No. 5 is absolutely lovely, a varied and delicious menu, exemplary service from diligent employees and a very pleasant atmosphere for all the family to enjoy. A real hidden gem and one well worth your time and money, highly recommended.

Blackpool isn't great for food but there are a few exceptions. i've been coming to Number 5 for a few years and always call in for my breakfast. The place is clean, the vibe is chilled and relaxed and most importantly the food is decent. Nice friendly staff too, 5 stars from me.

Visited twice in 3 days and was great both times. Had coffee and cake the first time and lunch the second. On both occasions, food and service was really good. Everything is fresh and tasty. Best, frothy cappuccino. Highly recommended.

Someone told me this place does the best scones in Blackpool. Not only that, but you can get a scone with butter and jam and any hot drink for less than what the big boys charge just for a latte. Coffee is excellent, and they do take away too.

We had not had a breakfast in Number 5 for ages, it was excellent as always. Great service and a good meal too.

Wij lunchten hier op 27 augustus 2023. Het was een heel rustige tentje dat een perfecte kaart heeft om te lunchen. Ik bestelde zelf de tosti met kaas en ham. Dit is een echte croque monsieur zoals ik ken in België. Ook mijn tafelgenoten waren tevreden met hun eten: burger, soort van gefrituurde kip en iets met vis. Echte aanrader in Blackpool om te lunchen!

A decent first stop in Blackpool, having arrived by bus. Good location, on square with views from upstairs of Opera, Tower etc. We were lucky to get the window tables, for 7 of us. Had coffees etc – all ok just a tiny confusion over the hot chocolate / marshmallows / cream et – not a major issue. Friendly staff. Clean toilets

Popped in at lunchtime, reasonably busy. Outdoor area and pleasant modern indoor seating. Staff attentive, well mannered, efficient and well presented. Food wise; more on the basic side which availed to the customer needs generally at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit since it is not the normal chain of restaurant/cafes most tourists seem to levitate too.

Just popped in for a cuppa as it was a really hot day and we wanted a bit of shade. Had tea with scones and cake. Scones wouldve been better with cream they did butter. Good tea portion for two. Staff were okay. The lass who served us was abit..off? Dont know if she was just tired maybe but wasnt the best customer service. It wasnt busy. plenty of empty tables ...She kinda was just having a chat with a colleague (nothing related to work as we was stood waiting to be served at the till..then acted put out that we wanted to order food....in a cafe ha Another lass who brought us our order was lovely. Nice little cafe.

Thoroughly recommend, never had a bad meal there, everything tasty and nicely presented, good English food, salad all colours of the rainbow. Please note you need to go inside to order, and there's a seating area inside upstairs too if downstairs is busy

A lovely place to sit outside watching the hustle and bustle near Winter Gardens and the Church. Good menu we enjoy the lovely light snacks with good wine and beer. If the weather is nice this is the place to spend an hour in Central Blackpool. We have eaten insideand although its comfortable but it doesn't match the ambience of its outside setting.

Best breakfast everything was well cooked nice and hot and worth every penny we had the jumbo breakfast and the coffee was good as well

Visited yesterday at lunchtime. Sausage, egg and chips with a tea - in a pot which easily made two cups. Could not fault. Service excellent. Didn't realise that there were plenty of tables upstairs, downstairs was busy. Would definitely visit again.

We visit this lovely cafe everything we visit Blackpool, great value for money, lovely staff. We recommend the bacon baps, perfectly cooked, lovely soft white bap.

Nice little licenced cafe in the shadow of Blackpool Tower. Indoor and outdoor seating in a pedestrian area. Clean, pleasant decor and friendly staff.

Enjoyed my visit today, had a carrot 🥕 cake, and black Americano. I really enjoyed both! The staff were friendly and being able to sit outside on the square was a bonus! Although it felt good inside too.

Have visited here many times, usually over the winter months. On this occasion I was slightly disappointed, tables were not clean, orders were taking a while, it was a very busy day so this would account for a portion of the issues. Hope to visit again soon.

Vormittags Kaffee immer hier, bevor das Festival seinen Lauf nimmt. Aber auch Frühstück oder Kuchen sowie kleine Snacks sind hier zu haben. Normaler Preis. Bestellt wird an der Theke, bezahlt auch. Tischnummer angeben ( innen und außen) und mit etwas Wartezeit kommt die Bestellung. Gutes Café!!

Number Five always has a nice calm atmosphere. The coffee is good (as is the food). The staff are always pleasant and the service is efficient. Prices are very competitive. Go there. Try it!

Fantastic cafe that's reasonably priced. I had a chicken, cheese and green pesto panini which was very tasty while my wife had a panini with Italian sausage, cheese, peppers and chilli flakes. Overall a great place to stop and refuel with some tasty food.

Came here for lunch while out shopping and discovered a hidden gem! The café is well located in a pleasant pedestrianised square behind St John's Church, away from the crowds but only a stone's throw from shops and seaside attractions. Plenty of outside tables. The young staff were welcoming and helpful. I ordered and paid for my meal at the bar and the food was brought upstairs to me. A very clean space with a relaxed ambience, some good wildlife photos on the walls and a lovely view of the square from the window tables. The menu includes breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and simple cooked meals. Good choice of hot and cold drinks including wine and beer. Very affordable prices. They do children's meals for £3.50. I opted for the two salmon fishcakes with chips, dressed salad and a little pot of tartare sauce. The fishcakes were good quality and the meal was hot, well prepared and satisfying. Nice pot of tea as well, got three large cups out of it. At less than £10 the meal was excellent value. Would definitely eat here again.

Great suntrap and situated in a very atmospheric area close to a main thoroughfare but there's no traffic. Nice staff and overall, a great find. Highly recommended.

Great little cafe, first time in there since moving to pool 8 years ago not one for frequenting cafes myself but was with a group this time. Staff very helpful and smiley, two floors with toilets on first for customers only tables where clean. Need to order and pay downstairs but food is brought up by staff me using of a walking aid staff member took my order and money for me. Bacon balm/bap where i come from and coffee, bacon done as requested and hot,coffee hot Give at least 5star myself

This our "go to" cafe in Blackpool. It serves a good variety of café fayre and the food is high quality and freshly prepared. They provide a good strong cuppa too!. The young staff are all very friendly. There is seating downstairs but also 10 tables upstairs ranging from parties of 2 to 6. For sunnier days. there are tables outside.Male and female toilets are all upstairs and very clean. There is no accessible toilet however. If you go to Blackpool, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent value for money. Have an offer for two buttered crumpets and any hot drink for £2.50. Excellent. Well recommended.

Reasonably priced and quiet little Chinese in a nice location. The chefs were not as Asian as I would like to cook my fave eastern cuisine but they were very passionate about it judging from the effing and jeffing I heard coming out of the kitchen. I had ribs wings and prawn toast, chicken and bacon parcel with mash followed by Eton mess muffin and ice cream.

I go here every week and also like it.

Staff didn't smile once and messing about with there ear and not washing there hands after and very expensive

Had to ask for table to be cleared and when it was had to ask for it to be cleaned as it had sticky food over it, we sat outside and when tables were vacated just cleared and no cleaning was done so bits of food left on the tables, the chairs were all over the place some tables had two others five and customers had to sort them out. The food was very nice it's just a shame about the attention to detail, in todays climate surely cleaning is essential.

Great pit stop in Blackpool for a middle of the route food stop. Had a tuna panini with cheese and chips , very good! The coffee I had, a latte, tasted well good !!
