We go there at least once a week with a group after dog training. Always a great meal with a good menu. I love the hot chocolate to warm you up.

Excellent lasagne, best meal there for a long time. Always good when John or Michael cook,although Mum cooked the lasagne well done delicious.

Very expensive food was OK very oily asked for a specific food item but was not done.

My one real complaint is there isn't any meal vegetarian options. You can have a meat free breakfast, jacket potatoes, cheese sandwiches but no main vegetarian meals and apart from beans on toast/jacket potato no vegan options. For meat eaters it is great value for money and lots of choices.

Always passed by but never had time to go in. Now I have and will definitely go back. The food was good, lovely cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly. Tables were cleared promptly when customers had left. A good find.

It was a cold frosty morning so a 'full english' went down a treat before we headed out for our day's fishing about 100 paces from the cafe. Breakfast was plentiful with 'door stop' toast, clean toilets and the tackle shop next door. Car park was busy but not full, with most folk coming throughout the day just to use the cafe rather than the fishing lakes. Fishing was slow in the cold until we switched to the margins and pulled out 45 small roach between the two of us in about 2 hrs. Will go back when the fishing is a bit more active.

This is a cafe but not a greasy spoon. Food is prepared for order by friendly staff.

Had a full English breakfast, food was delicious and the surroundings are perfect.

Sadly I wasn't impressed with the vegetarian breakfast. Plenty of other diners eating here though, so maybe something to be said about their meat offerings. For me, it's a no. On the upside, they have a nice seating area outside.

Came as a hubby fishes here sometimes. Decided to try the sunday roast. Not great. 3 roast potatoes veg watery gravy watery tiny amount of meat. Dessert very bland. Staff are lovely. Think the day menu is better value. Wont rush back for roast. Breakfast lunches etc much better value.

I live in Bedfordshire and my partner lives near puddle duck cafe and I can tell you they do a mean egg,bacon and sausage sandwich which I would happily drive 100 miles just to sample.

Lovely place to spend the day! Prices in the cafe are great for the friendly service you get and the food is lovely! Will definitely return and recommend anyone thinking of going for a day's fish! Thank you puddledock farm fisheris and Cafe staff for making our day out the best!

As a frequent user of cafes I’ve noticed a better than greasy spoon cafe is used by a wide variety of society . This is such a place with lunching ladies meeting here and pensioner couples , business meeting huddles etc as well as anglers and builders . The food is cooked in an open kitchen before your eyes and again a wide variety of choice from fry up to Sunday lunch . The quality of the food is very high and prices are excellent given the quality . Always busy so be patient but it’s worth the wait

Very popular venue. Busy with fishermen, Ambulance service, police and OAP's. Fresh food and at a good price. masses of car parking.

Been going to cafe for 10years + disappointed today chicken dinner, chicken was unusual in that they were inch thick medallion style very dry. Veg very watery, not like they usually are. Very busy 40 minute wait, 20mins is ok. Menu needs refreshing. Lovely staff very friendly please keep going and improving well done.

Absolutly wonderful food nice and clean cafe

A tasty meal to have before fishing though there were a lot of non fisherman using it throughout the day. Much to the annoyence of my fellow anglers I asked for my full English to be cooked so I got it the way I liked, and it was.

Having been married to an American I became use to saying how I wanted my food cooked. Of course I did, to the "encouraging" words of my fellow anglers. The meal was exactly how I wanted it. I even was able to get Earl Grey team.

Nice cafe with a fair selection of food, hot and cold drinks. Friendly staff. Good seating. No WiFi. But signal is good. Access for facilities is ok. Access in and out with plenty of free parking available. Nice fishing lake opposite. Overall worth a stop if your hungry or want a hot drink

Had a Sunday dinner here, 1st time and will deffo be returning. Really great home cooked food that came up piping hot and was delicious. Best we've had our in a very long time. Well done guys!!

Fantastic greasy spoon style breakfast. Good honest food, arrived quickly enough and staff are as attractive as need be. Much cheaper than the high street equivalent and better quantity too. Proper bloomer bread / toast and they were willing to exchange a couple of items for me. Busy at weekends.

Went inside to just see this tinny desk taking orders and everyone was on top of each other, this was the only cafe I've seen that have 0 health and safety put at place at this time with covid19 around. Waited a few minutes by the door and then noticed the kids were touring around the place taking up the clean cutlery and putting them back and getting them in their clothes and putting them back again, (reachable to kids any age) it was so dark and cringy inside. Waited and waited and then all these reasons made me leave. Having had covid19 once before it was 100% chances I could get it again at this place. I'm leaving 3 stars because I didn't try the food. Definitely definitely not going back there after all.
