Loved it! Best burger in the area and staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend after a good walk along the promenade. We will be back

I was waiting for family on the beach and popped in for a cheeky burger. For a little cafe it was the nicest burger I'd had in a while. It was the extra effort from the chef that made the difference. Thanks mate

Now called the Chalet Cafe, I enjoyed a good cup of tea here while out on a walk. They have outdoor seating and have now built a shelter in case of rain

Oh my goodness. The Prom Cafe used to be my favourite cafe anywhere. They served amazing hotdogs and milkshakes at a reasonable price, with quick, friendly servers. Our family has been going to this cafe for years and years and up till 2018 we've never had a single complaint. Its now August 2019, and the Prom Cafe has been renamed "Chalet Cafe". The iconic silver tables, chairs and amazing sense of nostalgia have been replaced with garish, in-your-face rainbow chairs and tables, much too modern for a cafe that families have been visiting for generations. We visited on the August Bank Holiday Monday, it was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, and the beach was of course very busy! And yet the "Chalet Cafe" had run out of everything but chips by 1pm!! Furthermore, we overheard the chef saying to his colleagues "I was hoping we'd run out of food so we could go home early". The service was slow and the staff unfriendly and, as the above statement shows, clearly not happy in their line of work. The hotdogs are now half the size they used to be (yet the same price) and the exact sort you can get in a can at Tesco. And the milkshakes? They don't even make them anymore! Used to be able to get ice cream 99s for £1 and they are now £1.80. All I can do is live in the hope that the "Chalet Cafe" goes bust, and someone buys it and turns it back into the glorious promenade cafe that it has been for so many years. But until then, rest in peace Prom Cafe. You will be sorely missed.

This place is nice, it’s on the beach, only problem is it’s never open, I don’t think I have many memories of this place open apart from 2 occasions years back, this is the sort of place that if you see it open, you will have to buy something or you will have to wait until next year, but don’t get me wrong it’s nice.

There's not only us visiting, it was busy today when we were there, but it's not getting any reviews! We stopped again on a walk along the seafront. Maybe the address means people are not recognising it. It's in the north bay on the way to the sealife centre and situated just at the end of the chalets. We like the location, the food is fine - what are you waiting for?

We stopped here whilst walking along the seafront. It does great bacon baps and other hot and cold snacks -- it's right on the seafront too.

Do not spend your hard earned money here. Made mistake of ordering fish and chips twice. But what I should have ordered was the classic which comes with curry sauce, peas. etc So my mistake. However when I went back to ask where the peas were, I didn't get a great welcome. Pea's are extra, So I had to pay £3 for two crappy tubs of peas. After spending £21 on fish and chips. THEY ARE THE WORST I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME. Save your money.......

If you’re into modern country music this is the bar to go to in Scarborough! Went in early doors and it was country music all the way( ok there was a little bit of Irish folk in between but that’s almost country). Great to see a bar catching onto the fastest growing genre of music in the uk. Brilliant!

Called in for fish and chips to share - £10. Opened the box to find the fish in three pieces. Rancid oil taste to both fish and hard chips. Truly the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten.
