Pumpkin Cafe in Scarborough

Had some time to kill for a train so popped in for a coffee - served by a lovely and welcoming staff member Adrian. Good coffee, nice clean and quiet cafe :)

Terrible atmosphere, person behind the counter looked dead inside, they then tried telling me that a steak slice was not available in a meal deal but a sandwich was???. Would not eat here if it was the last place on earth.

Just a Nice café, tasty coffee, friendly staff

It is Sunday and I was sat for literally 2 minutes in the empty Pumpkin cafe waiting for a friend before deciding what to buy. A rude man called Adrian, approached me and announced that he was the general manager and I had to leave if I wasn't buying anything! I have spent a fortune on overpriced teas, coffees and food for many years on my daily commute for work and always have a laugh with the ladies that work there. My first encounter with this officious, important jobsworth has left a bitter taste.

Orderd two small latte, lady asked if we would like to upgrade to regular for 10p more, very friendly lady.

The seating area was very clean and upheld well, Adrian our server was very friendly and helpful with our order and very accommodating and friendly to a professional standard.

I come for a coffee most morning normal meet sue or the cute guy lol there lovely the make the best coffee and all ways have a smile on there faces just a nice way to start ya day

I needed a coffee before a very long trip and came here. Was met by the most friendliest staff and it made my day.

I got a gingerbread latte and it tasted better than costa! The lady that served me was very friendly too :)

Oh dear, I really want to give a better review, we so need a good railway station cafe too. But, sadly this venue falls short. I hope they pull their socks up and this is just a blip. But the coffee was well, not great, the bacon buttie was yuk, I pulled the bacon out, ate that. The bread was inedible. Not good.

We bought food on our way back from a meeting, about 14:30. The only staff member was pleasant. The food is quite expensive but the location is convenient if you short in catching a train. Not much choice of warm food, we could feel that's not a goal of the shop, though the shop still has few toast and other warm sandwiches. Overall okay, but wouldn't recommend unless you in rush due to the prices

Its ridiculous that it opens 15 minutes after the first train leaves.

Coffee was ok and we were able to sit I some comfy seats for an hour while waiting for our ride. The main problem is there's no bin so everyone leaves their coffee cuos all over the tables. Didn't see the staff come out once to clear them.

Very little food choice at 11:30 am on a Monday! The server annoyingly decided to call me "darling"! I wonder what she calls her husband/boyfriend /girlfriend? Sir/madam? She also didn't offer to heat up my cornish pasty.

We called in on this evening at 17.35 very rude blonde girl busy chatting to a friend I asked what time you cl8se to be told 6pm but I'm not doing any hot drinks why if you don't close untill 6 I use the cafe very often rotten ignorant attitude

Extremely slow service, generally only one person working which must be very frustrating for the staff. Overpriced and stale, bland food. The spot is an ideal place to really make a cafe work and proper, however profits are all this company care about.

People these days complaining about how good the flat white is or whether it is a flat, that's me...... Flat white in two sizes, which wasn't a flat white, just a cappuccino and the coffee is tasteless. Good service though.

Disgusted! Close at 4pm on a Sunday arrived at 3.50pm on the dot to order 2 hot drinks for our train ride home to be told they’ve stopped serving hot drinks! I said your open until 4pm, the reply was ‘yeah well we shut them off at 10 too’. So annoyed as not enough to get a hot drink anywhere else on this freezing cold horrible day - POOR SERVICE!!

I have found the service in this cafe to be equally hit and miss. There's one lady who is consistently friendly, however I've also had the experience of slipping over on a floor that had just been washed but was unsigned, and the staff present then couldn't have cared less. I avoid it where I can as it's generally overpriced and underwhelming, but it is useful for a warm rink if you're running late.

I was not impressed to be told (shamefacedly), by the counter assistant, that requiring soya milk would cost me 35 pence on top of the regular charge for coffee and milk. What? Spreadsheet cost analysis explanation please.
