Over 1 hour delay on food when I approach staff they where very polite and apologetic when food came was barley warm fish was dry and rubberised chips cold and hard won't be coming here again.

Had three meals in a week, what we had was good. Attention from staff was a bit hit and miss. Big tip, go early if you want a Sunday Roast, they had sold out by 2.30pm which was disappointing.

Great restaurant,nice meals and dogs are allowed

The fish and chips were that bad the dog literally wouldn't eat them. Husbands mixed grill was edible, but not £20 worth. Staff were nice, which was the only redeemable feature. If your reading this, go to Burger King next door. We did the next night and it was bob on.

Just had a week's holiday and the only place to get something to eat was the brigghouse,the food started off OK had the hunters chicken when we got there which was nice then on Sunday had the roast turkey there could of been abit more meat for the price but it was nice,the chargrilled chicken and bacon burger was really nice,breakfast OK but on the Friday had the hunters chicken again and chips where abit well done this time,the staff are really friendly and u can have a chat with them.

Before I get started on the bad I'll say the staff and service here was lovely. I can't fault that but unfortunately we only visited once. And there's a reason for that. We ordered 2 hunters chickens,a side of chicken dippers for me and my husband to share and 2 pints of coke. We ordered a kids meal which we got for a £1 can't grumble at that but my 5 year old was given a glass cup for his milk. Glass, really. The 2 pints of coke were flat and didn't taste like coke and had ice in which i asked for no ice. I really wish we had sent them back but I hate to cause a fuss. As you can see in the pictures the portions were tiny. We got given 3 chicken dippers and a small pot of bbq sauce. I couldn't believe I'd paid £7 for 3 chicken dippers. Then the hunters chicken came. I still am shocked at how small the portions were. £12 for 1 meal of hunters chicken. I wish I had bought them from Tesco sown the road and made our own in the caravan. The 2 stars are for the service and the £1 kids meal. The food was OK but not worth the £40 bill. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend.

Food wasn't the best. Portions need to be bigger to reflect on price and quality as they were small. As I was in the que on day the person serving at the hotplate was rubbing his hands on his head, sweat, and dripping nose, then touching food without cleaning hands, so I walked out. Open kitchens are great, but not on this occasion.

I recently had a terrible dining experience at a this restaurant that left me completely disappointed. I ordered the katsu curry, which turned out to be a disaster. The chicken was extremely soggy and tasted bland and very bad. It was as if they had poured hot water over some random ingredients and called it a dish. On top of that, I ordered a side of veggies, which consisted of soggy-looking carrots and broccoli that cost £3.99. These were described as "good to go," but when I tried taking a bite, it tasted horrible! It was a complete waste of money. To make matters worse, I also ordered the loaded burger fries. There was no cheese, the quantity was far too small, and there was no meat or anything. It was just a few fries thrown together for the sake of calling it a dish. This place was an utter disappointment and a waste of money.

The mistakes I made on the day I decided to dine at The Brighouse Restaurant: 1. Deciding to dine there even after reading numerous poor reviews. 2. Expecting that the only restaurant at a family park would have decent food. 3. Ordering the Katsu Curry & Rice, Cauliflower Curry, Loaded Fries, and the side of vegetables. 4. Not sending back the side of vegetables. About the food: The Katsu chicken was old and greasy, and the curry was horrible. The loaded fries were not “loaded.” The side of vegetables we ordered for £3.99 consisted of a few slices of carrot and broccoli that were expired and tasted dirty and old. That side of vegetables SHOULD NOT be served at a restaurant.

Great place for a bite to eat the fish and chips was really nice fresh fish a d the kids chicken nuggets beautifully cooked and not processed they are proper chicken breastfeeding pieces and the burgers and really nice staff are really polite and friendly fast service we ordered and within 10 mins we had all our food and spoke tp the chef and he was a great bloke really friendly just over all a great atmosphere in there nice clean and tidy also

Great food and service staff very friendly

Had Sunday lunch at the Brighouse, and for the first time in many years, being an owner, I was disappointed with the meals. We chose the beef meal and only had one small slice of beef and a few vegetables. This is the first time I've had a poor meal in this restaurant. The staff were very obliging and polite. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very good.

Came for breakfast on the last day of our holiday to Blue dolphin. People were queueing outside waiting to go on. The place opened... But no one opened the door or bothered to tell us all they were could enter. No on was being seated, despite reservations. It took a fifteen minute wait to get served for food, despite there being not a single person queuing in front of me. Two drinks were wrong, extras were missing (no extra sausage), options were incorrect (wrong type of egg), beans were cold, toast had no butter and full price was charged for the kids meal which should have been on offer, bur after the wait to get served the amount of time it would have taken to be refunded would have driven me insane. The cups were dirty with lipstick stains, the staff don't acknowledge people waiting at all and ignorantly work around you like you're an inconvenience. As the last part of the holiday before heading home it was gutting that it was so bad, thank god that the seaside squad characters came in for the kids to take photos with else it would have been horrendous. Eat absolutely anywhere else on site and avoid this restaurant as much as possible.

Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is fantastic

We went for dinner and waited 10 minutes to be seated eventhough we booked. After we had finished our main meal we were ignored 4 times by waitresses who would not clear our plates and take a dessert order. After waiting 45 minutes we gave up and just paid the bill. 3 disappointed children. We spent over £100 and would have been more but the service was shocking. And the attitudes of the waitresses was terrible.

We ordered 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals,when the food finally arrived 50 minutes later it wasn't to bad ,the kids meals I'm glad they were only £1 with any adult meal as they were not worth the full price .

Very nice place to eat and drink

Called in to have a look at the menu and ended up staying for a bite to eat. Tried to order via the app but a bit confusing. Waitress rescued us and sorted our order. Food arrived before the drinks. The kitchen is open so you can see food being prepared and cooked. Ordered 2 for £18... gammon & scampi. I had the gammon with egg. A decent size piece of gammon and egg cooked perfectly. Scampi was cook but could have done with more tartare sauce.

We waited over 40 minutes for our desserts. We chased this up and the staff brought them out 6 minutes after chasing. We politely requested to have some money off the bill due to the huge wait. The Manager on shift on evening of 2nd September told us the kitchen had not received the order. We explained that we were customers that hated to complain, but we 100% made the order. We could not remember who served as as there were several waitresses and waiters running around the place, but requested that thinking about 'customer first' they took what we were saying in good faith. The Manager at one point said 'she could not get a word in edgeways' and that from where they were coming from, no order was made. We offered to pay full price at this point to avoid any further conflict, but the experience left us feeling frustrated- what we said was not taken in good faith, and we were left feeling not even too bothered about the late food but appalled at how the manager had spoken to us, and then taken the 15 pounds for the desserts from customers that were clearly upset. It feels like poor business sense to insist on 15 pounds for the sake of ruining your customers meal and the restaurant reputation. We will be re- thinking before visiting the Blue Dolphin again with our friends, as it's given a 'money grabbing ' impression and made us feel pretty used as returning customers.

Very mediocre food. Tables hardly cleaned or cleared. Attitude of staff is appalling, they tell you to speak to HR and feel free to complain to them but I wouldn't bother as they only side with the staff. Service extremely slow even when there's very little people in the area. Cooks don't seem impressed when placing a large order (you see them through the window) oh and my favorite has to be that staff seem more interested in being on their phones and talking amongst themselves. Worst visit in all the years we've been visiting blue dolphin. Diabolical!

Come Here if you love getting molested by fly’s !!! actually a half decent scran, however ruined by the amount of flys in the gaff wouldn’t go again

Great staff, unfortunately, the food is overpriced, for what it was, I ordered the fish and chios and got more batter anything else. My wife ordered the ribs, which were bland and just given a helping of sauce, certainly not marinated.

Food average pub grub, good service, and staff friendly.

We went in here for breakfast, there was 8 of us. Found a table perfectly fine to fit us all from our family. Shannon and the other team member who was on that day, did an excellent job doing all the orders for all 8 of us with all the drinks & picky-eater food orders as well on our table. Shannon brought the drinks over first, then the children’s meals (as asked by us) and then adults, need to give Shannon a gold star for her poilteness, but I doubt her manager will even see this. Food was cooked properly and was absolutely lovely, didn’t wait long for it at all. Very easy to find in the complex too! Recommend to visit if you can

We went here for dinner 1st night we were served by the manager (man) very helpful so went back 2nd night young man served me ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING ATTITUDE spoke to manager (lady) who was nice and apologised but never went back food was nice but his attitude put me and the family off shame

Our server was Cass. She was very friendly & prompt in getting us seated & asked about allergies. Food was a bit pricey, which is expected. Our order was taken & bought to the table quickly, was tasty & hot. Cass kept the meals, check etc flowing so we wasn't waiting to long. She's a great asset to the team

It's okay. The food prices are not too bad but drinks could be cheaper. Food arrived quickly but there where only a few people in the restaurant when we went. Also portion sizes could be bigger. Couldn't order on the app as they recommend as there was no service inside.

Food tastes really good but portion sizes aren't the best, also they were quick to bring out starters and mains but when we wanted desert we couldn't get any waiting staff and when we did there was a 45min wait on desert. Desert being ice cream! For myself and my family the cost definitely did not match the quality.

We will never eat here again!!!!! , unless updated, we went for pre-booked breakfast on our last day, it took 10 mins to find someone to get seated. We ordered drinks and food for 2 adults and 3 children, it took 10-15 mins for drinks and 20-25 mins for food, it wasn't busy at all and food was cold when we got it, really not very nice!!!!!! I would say this place needs to get wit the times, what I mean by this is that most places are self service buffets, this is far better for both customers and the business, and we paid over £50 which I think is obseen for breakfast

The staff are fabulous can't do enough

I planned on doing this review last year but I actually forgot about it, but I can honestly say this place was amazing to visit for a decent meal friendly atmosphere and great service. But I would seriously just like to talk about the service me and my family received from I think she was called Helen I hope I got it right. My son is disabled and in a wheelchair and so at the time was in a blended diet, we all ordered our meals and then went to ordered a light meal for our son to blend it ourselves with our portable blender. What happened next was a little bit of a shock but probably the most friendly service I've ever had in my life. The staff member out of nowhere asked if we would like it blended and was going to use their own blender, until we told her about ours. She asked to take it and use it for our sons meal about 20 mins later our meals started coming and she came with our sons all blended up and cooled down to the right temp, she even fully cleaned out our blender as well. It was amazing service that we had to give her a tip because it was the wonderful. Our son loved it and she was very friendly towards him throughout the service, didn't ignore him spoke to him properly as well and he loved it. It's understandable that people can be uncomfortable at the moment but she wasn't at all and it felt nice for all of us, definitely will go again when we book a holiday their again hopefully she still works there.

I was dubious with it been a captive audience and 2 for one meals my expectation was low. I was wrong!!! And that doesn't happen often lol. Absolutely beautiful food £60 fed and watered 3 of us. Highly recommended the 2 for £20 steak. 👍👍👍

The food was mediocre at its best, and over priced for what it was.

Ate here every night during our holiday, they had a 2 for £15.00 offee which couldn't be beat. The food and staff were both excellent. Would recommend

Seems to be a lot of negative reviews but drinks came quick, food was really nice and it was dog friendly.

We ate here twice, day we arrived and the next both times we had booked a table using the haven app. All four meals came out together , hot and enjoyable. With the children’s eat for a £1 was cheaper then buying something and cooking it back at the caravan. Only downside was on the second night no one asked we we wanted dessert and was sat for 20 minutes so we used the app on the table to order not sure if this is the usual as wasn’t explained and no apology for mini marshmallows.

Took half hour to receive drinks and over an hour for food. When the food arrived it was cold. Kids popcorn chicken was over cooked and rock hard. They then tried to charge us twice for one lot of drinks. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

The Brigghouse was was pretty good. It had a limited menu, and when we went there the choices were limited due to delivery issues, but the food was good, the staff were really nice. Lunch and dinner are good, breakfast is poor.

Went for lunch during a recent weekend away. 2 Sunday lunches and 2 kids meals, with discounts on offer totalled £17. Excellent value for money on a holiday park. Dinners were of good quality, with a good selection of veg, and kids meals were ample enough for a 6 and 7 year old.

Been a few times here good service and food had Joe as our server this time 1st class friendly and willing to help excellent deals 2 for £15 and my kid said mac and cheese is amazing 👏

Average food and pricey for what you get

Food was nice but chips could've done a few extra minutes.. Staff forgot my water and a fork for another person at my table.desert was very nice. Not alot of vegan options though but still a few. Would love more vegan options... Will be back

Booked a table but when we arrived it wasn't ready, fair enough. But after being seated and given menus we waited 25 minutes and nobody had even taken our drink order let alone for food so we just left. Had 2 young kids and it was getting late.

Food was ok, service was none existent, but the staff cannot be blamed - only the park management in charge of budgets. 3/7 meals from our group arrived near-cold. Chicken was dry and portions are small. If we were to return, we wouldn’t even bother with this place as I’d rather cook my own food as I know it would be HOT.

Overpriced with below par service

Had gammon and steak and ale pie. Drinks came after the food. But other than that it was great.

Customer service is key, in any part of the park. On this occasion, the customer service we received was very abrupt. Almost like we were a hindrance. Being a retail manager myself, I would be ashamed with my staff if they treated a customer like we were treated. The food itself was average and over priced, my chicken burger, was chicken strips in a bun, priced at £13, shocking amount for what I received. I hope that today was just a bad day for service and not the true representation of the restaurant.

Took a very very long time to get drinks delivered, around 20 mins from ordering to delivery. Staff a little un knowledgeable and unfriendly. One cocktail inparticular was disgusting, dirty glass. Other drinks good and pleasant inside.

When we stay at Blue Dolphin we always have breakfast at The Brigghouse, lovely food and helpful staff ! Well recommended keep up the good work 👏 👌👍

Very dissatisfied, eaten here before lock down and couldn't fault it but now its a different story ate there yesterday an recieved my sirloin steak without a steak knife.. Had more fat than it should have, the chips were dry and the side of onion rings tasted like they were frozen ones that hadn't been cooked enough. My partner got chicken tikka masala and it had 8 small pieces of chicken the rest was onion.. The nann bread was tasteless.. Won't be returning spoils your holiday spending £50 on 1 meal that you don't eat much of & don't enjoy.

Well what a lovely meal with all the bad reviews we didn't expect much, but the meal was very good, alright a bit overpriced but that is to be expected as they only have about 8 to 9 months to make their money. A bit of a mix up with our drinks but otherwise the service was excellent.

Restaurant totally joke ordered meal on good Friday food was cold I ordered a stake to be medium cooked it came well done and mash on children meals was smash no customer service had to wait almost 90 mins for food to arrive after placing order vary small portions the money I paid £97 I highly recommend to public to stay away from this Restaurant should be ashamed ripping public and family's off shouldn't even be aloud to be open when did you last have your food star rating last reviewed I bet it be under one star totally joke

Food quality is alright. The portions are very small and well above average price for what you get. Would not recommend simply because of the price and portion size.

We ordered starters of chicken wings and breaded mushrooms they were ok but main course of sirloin steak and mixed grill was not nice, steak tasted burnt (meant to be medium) soggy onion rings and slimy mushrooms and mixed grill all meat look the same !! Waitress was lovely and took it back to the chef ! I wouldn’t eat here again. !

Went to dine there on last night got told couldn't go in because we hadn't booked. Their online app said no need to book just turn up which we did and explained all this to the man on the door but he didn't want to know and told us we couldn't go in blaaa

Service was average, me and my girlfriend were disappointed when we both wanted something off the menu that they hadn’t got (would’ve been better if they explain this before ordering) I ended up with the breaded mushrooms as a starter that were very hard and the penne pomodoro for main which was served lukewarm and went cold very quickly my guess was it was done in the microwave. All in all wasn’t really anything special and wasn’t exactly cheap either.

Nice filling meal, not too busy but we have just come out of a lockdown (Covid). Staff are friendly and helpful.

Had drinks last night and tonight had starters main deserts and drinks. Food was gorgeous and all the staff are brilliant..cheerful helpfull and good at their jobs..Will definitely be back before we leave blue dolphin..well done to all the staff for doing a fantastic job..
