A superb place to eat and drink.The food is very good and plenty of it.Staff are very friendly and polite. The place is kept very clean and tidy and is Dog friendly.

We have a wonderful lunch in the back patio. Great food and service! Thank you so much Werner and Trina! We will be back!

Attended a friend's 50th. Lovely decorated pub and nice twinkly lights covered area out the back including a mini bar. Staff were lovely & owner Tom was there at the end of the night wishing us a goodnight Well be back to try out their Sunday roast which was recommended by a local

Every time we go to the Prince of Wales we are made to feel so welcome - Tom and Margaret are the hosts and they and all the staff are so obliging, I sincerely recommend anyone to pop along for a lovely relaxing, lunch or evening drink and a bite to eat.

50th birthday party. This is a fantastic venue for a party. Tom, Margaret and all the staff were so welcoming and went above and beyond for us last night from beautiful decorations to the best buffet we have ever had (The chicken curry was amazing) All our guests had such a brilliant time and all commented on what a lovely vibe the pub has. Myself and a couple of friends were visiting the Imperial War Museum and called in for food and a couple of pints before going in to the museum.Margaret and Tom made us most welcome to their fabulous pub!Excellent beer and the sausage and mash was top class. Excellent decor and spotlessly clean, the locals are friendly as well, they even welcome dogs here.One of the best pubs I have been into for a long time, a real find and a great location.Will make a point of returning there regardless of whether I'm going to the IWM or not.Thanks for making the three of us from Swindon so welcome on our day out Tom and Margaret :)

Had been doing the usual touristy things in London and stumbled across this little gem. Service was excellent (young girl called Billie I think) and the food plentiful and tasty. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable couple of hours. Unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to go back during our stay but will definitely try to go next time we are in London.

Absolutely recommend this pub for any parties/private hire. Had my mums 50th here and the owners and staff were so helpful and friendly. Anybody looking for somewhere this is the place! Lovely outdoors area too. Thankyou Tom! Has been a pleasure 👍🏼

I visited the Prince of Wales with family for Sunday lunch. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and police. Top marks to the chef, who cooked a beautiful roast on the hottest day of the year! Both the main and the afters were lovely. I would definitely recommend this pub for both food and drink. The pub was very clean and staff couldn’t do enough to help, we will be back very soon.

I've lived next door to this pub for 17 years and have been a regular for most of that time. Come and try it. It's amazing. Friendly staff, friendly locals, reasonable prices and good food. Try the pie and mash if you can. Pretty authentic if you.ask me! And the jukebox is brilliant!

Wanted a classic pub to watch the F1. Blew all expectations. Tv’s, friendly staff, full of locals and perfect atmosphere. Amazing local pub that made our afternoon. Will definitely be back whenever we are in the area.

Had a wander from near where I work and stumbled upon thins lovely pub. No ales on, just a John smiths bitter but enough lager draught and bottled beer to keep the driest tongues wet. Very good prices for the area compared to places nearby that charge a small fortune for similar.Each table has a sanitation dispenser and I saw staff wipe the handles clean after a table has left. In the evening a nice touch of a tea light candle is lit on the table. There is a disabled toilet in the outside beer garden and an accessible entrance in this area.Overall, really nice english pub, really friendly bar staff and punters. Would recommend and will be back

Got "word of mouth recommended" after talking to a friend about the dearth of an old fashioned Sunday pub roast in bermondsey. very welcoming and staff were extremely pleasant,Tom kept most of the bar I was in not having to wait too long for drinks and the two ladies were also very attentive.The roasts were extremely large portions and seemed freshly cooked and tasty!Neither myself or my wife could finish.Maybe not everybody's cup of tea if you want a "trendy" pub but a very eclectic mix of customers who were also very friendly.Good old fashioned pub and staff where the emphasis is on you having a good time.all round good value on drinks very good value on food.Recommended highly.

I visited the pub earlier this month for a friends graduation. The staff were super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. They also had a music booth where you could request music which was definitely enjoyed!

I had my daughter's graduation party here last weekend and I couldn't have chosen a better place to have it. The bar staff were excellent, the food and decorations were amazing and so thoughtful. The pub has a fantastic atmosphere throughout and this is due to the lovely staff and the wonderful landlord/landlady Tom and Margaret. I would recommend this pub to everyone!

Have been into the Prince of Wales a few times and have always been served by Billie. Gorgeous and lovely, quick service, chatty and up for recommending drinks that always accurately fit the orderer! If I ever worked out how to tip on the new card system, I certainly would tip her generously!

Took my Mum for a pub lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see traditional Pie & Mash on the menu. As someone who grew up eating P&M in Arments, Manzies or Cooke’s, I thought I would give it a try.Just Wow! As fresh and tasty as if sitting in a traditional shop! Will defiantly have it again! Superb find. Our family went for a Sunday roast and the quality of food was outstanding. The portions were very generous . Pricing matched value. The safety aspect for our family with regards to COVID-19 restrictions were impressive. Masks supplied and sanitizers on all tables. Last but not least the welcome we received from Tom and the service from Margaret and Werner was second to none. Don’t let yourself down, you will enjoy this pub experience

We came for a Sunday roast which was excellent and had a great vegan roast too. Our server Karin was very accommodating and friendly.

Vine aquí con amigos el mes pasado. Reservé para un almuerzo de domingo muy cálido, había pedido previamente una mesa afuera. Todo estuvo bien. Tuve una hermosa tarde; las bebidas fluían y las fuentes para compartir que pedimos estaban deliciosas. Los insectos afuera eran una plaga, pero ¿qué puedes hacer? (Tal vez podría encender algunas velas de citronela en el jardín) ¡Volveremos pronto!

Visité el pub tan cerca del IWM.Debido a CV - 19, el pub ha tenido que reducir un poco su menú de comida, por lo que ya no hace sándwiches. Fuimos por dos entrantes de alitas de pollo y panqueques de verduras. Ambos estaban bien cocinados, las alas tenían salsa barbacoa ahumada, los panecillos (2) venían con salsa de chili, y ambos tenían guarniciones de ensalada.

Popped into this pub on the way home from the War Museum with my little boy and cousin, very nice place, clean and tidy. Was greeted by 2 lovely staff called kazz and Werner. Brilliant service, so friendly and made us feel so welcome.We had burger,fish and chips and scampi. Was beautiful, and we even had a cheeky sticky toffee pudding which hit the stop.Will definitely return again.

After visiting The Imperial War Museum myself and my son and 3 grandchildren were looking for somewhere to eat and came across this pub. The greeting was warm and the staff were charming. We made our orders including Steak, Burgers and Scampi all was well presented and well cooked and the grandkids said the food was delicious and we agreed. Dessert was great too. A lucky but great find and would definitely go there again

We stopped by on our way back from the War Museum and was pleasantly surprised by this pub. Has a really nice old school vibe with friendly locals and welcoming staff. The food menu has all the basics you'd expect in a pub, but also vegan and gluten free options, which as someone with food allergies I was surprised to find! Nice beer garden at the rear with an outdoor bar and toilet and all the days sports being shown in the bar. Was also particularly impressed by all the social distancing measures in place. Perspex sheeting separating the tables and hand sanitizer dispensers on the walls. We felt very safe and reassured. What more could you want?!

always a good experience and despite Covid 19 continues to be consistently good. Sitting outside in the expanded garden makes it more pleasurable and every precaution is taken to ensure our safety. Roast beef was excellent, as was the tiramisu dessert with candied walnuts. An excellent dining experience.

On 1st aughst i had my engagement at the prince of wales and despite the corona virus rules and social distancing rules imposed by them i still had the most amazing day. Food was great bar staff just brilliant was fantastic as had a bar in garden aswell as inside so plenty of room for people to mingle. Outdoor toilets so didnt have to keep going inside. Thankyoy to the landlord and landlady tom and margaret and all the bar staff our day couldnt have been any better or more special. Thankyou all at the prince of wales

This is a special place we found whilst walking from the Imperial War Museum. A fabulous corner pub with a gorgeous beer garden (with an additional bar so no queuing to be served) Despite social distancing there's plenty of space. Amazing staff, tasty food and a comfortable atmosphere to relax in. Perfect venue for friends to meet, drinks with the partner... They welcome families too. Great find

Had a great chilling afternoon with my husband.Wanted somewhere to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and we both enjoyed the fantastic food, service ,and staff.The steak and gravy pie meal was amazing.Great chef. Bar staff were brilliant and the landlord Tom and his wife were very friendly and approachable. We came here for dinner as the place was close to our hotel and had good reviews on TripAdvisor. It's a simple place, nothing fancy, but the food was good and the service was friendly. My wife had the fish and chips and I had the chicken massala. Both were very good. We had the toffee pudding for dessert which was really great. As tourists it was an excellent place to experience a London pub.

The service is impeccable and the food is exactly what you need on a weekday evening. We are always greeted by a smiling landlord who recommends the finest food (Double Pie and Liquor is a highlight) and the smoothest lagers (Fosters Top). The locals provide you with the kind of atmosphere that East London is known for, watch out for the cheeky Irish pensioner at the bar, a local legend, he will keep you on your toes. The secluded secret garden is the hidden wonder, make your way past the eclectic jukebox, through the conservatory and through the wooden fire door, I will let the courtyard speak for itself.

My family and I had lunch at the Prince of Wales pub today before a visit to the IWM.We were greeted upon arrival and looked after throughout our meal.The menu was small but had everything you’d want from a good pub and the food was delicious. My Dad especially enjoyed the fish and chips!We would happily recommend this pub and if we’re in the area again we’d definitely return.

Best roast dinner we have had in a pub. I have also been here for mid week dinners and lunch breaks at work amazing food and service no complaints at all highly recommend this pub. Also has great beer garden for the summer.

I had a great time at The Prince of Wales Public House. I went there by myself to grab a bite to eat. Not long after arriving I could already tell the place had a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment. Not only were the staff friendly but the patrons of the pub were as well. The place had a nice community atmosphere. There was a lady there with her young daughter (who the staff were very nice too) and another lady who brought her dog into the pub.

My daughter and I were exhausted after a long day of sight-seeing, so we picked somewhere to eat that was close to the hotel. It was our lucky night. The Prince of Wales is a comfortable and friendly pub and the food was outstanding. Karin and Werner were so nice to us. We had the fish and chips and lamb shank. Both were hearty and yummy. We split some sticky toffee pudding for dessert. That was life-changing. It was a great way to end the day.

Myself and the family had visited the imperial war museum and decided to pop in. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Two of us ordered the roast beef as it was a Sunday and wow it was stunning!! One ordered the fish and chips (even though he wasn't hungry) and polished that off no problem. My 10 year old son had chicken bites and chips and the portion was huge. I would definatly recommend this place,fabulous service and also good prices.

Colazione disastrosa, tutto confezionato e fai date, molto sporco e rovinato, camere con migliaia di spifferi, finestre e ventola bagno, caloriferi insufficienti, infatti c'è in dotazione un termosifone elettrico movimentabile. Sanitari posticci, devi fare attenzione ad appoggiarti bene e ad usare con molta cautela la rubinetteria.

Cozy little pub with a number of local characters having pints and chatting away. I went up to the bar and asked Werner if I order here and he said no, take a table and I be right over. Werner was great, providing excellent and friendly and pouring the perfect pint (it might have been 2) LOL!! The menu has a number of dishes that should please most anyone and a vegetarian will have choices as well. The food was well present, filling and tasted excellent. Was the best fish and chips I had on my London trip. I highly recommend this pub to all who pass by. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!

Myself and my family have been coming into this pub since around July 2019; 2/3 times a month we’ll go and have a Sunday roast and I’m still to have an average meal in here. The food is fantastic. The lamb shank is to die for. Even their midweek meals are simple but so so good. Proper pub grub that you will not be disappointed with.
