Lovely service, dog friendly (always a bonus). We were seated and served quickly. Very welcoming and friendly. My friend asked for cheese & tomato sandwich on multi grain bread and I ordered jacket potato with cheese & coleslaw. The sandwich came loaded with cheese, with salad and crisps and the potato came with a small sprinkle of cheese and a small spoonful of coleslaw and it felt a little mean as toppings were £1 each!

Over priced and disappointing! ordered a jacket potato with prawns and was shocked by how small the portion size was! Especially seeing some of the other meals coming out of the kitchen. Tiny little salad in a pot with the brown ends of lettuce, no tomato and drowning in dressing! £3 for the prawns and there was barely enough to cover the potato. Mentioned we were unhappy when we went to pay the bill - no one came to clear our plates - and got told, we can’t help how big the potatoes are’ this is our second bad experience there - will not be going back again.

We have eaten here so many times but yesterday we left very overwhelmed. We went for the weekend brunch platter, I always order gluten free but yesterday was a complete flop, no waffles and the pancakes were so thick they just crumbled and fell apart… Definitely not light and fluffy… Unfortunately they had no gluten free bread either for the toast to go with the fry up so substituted with hard stale and dry wraps…. I would rather they couldn’t cater for intolerances than serve up meals that are so bad you have to leave them…. We’ll try again but it’s going to take a fair amount for Radish to get back into one of my fav brunch spots…

Ordered a latte, only received half a cup as the rest was froth, making way to strong. Ordered a portion of fried mushrooms which consisted of 1 medium size mushroom, I complained so they came back with another one and said it was free? £1 per mushroom is ridiculous. Then dived into my poached eggs to find they were raw on the inside, very disappointed. I’ve been to this place 3 times as it’s my local and every time I’ve been disappointed by something. Waiting time is also unreasonable.

We stopped for lunch and what a good choice it was. There is plenty of seating and lovely staff. The Gentleman that served us was very helpful with the menu. They were very accomodating when I asked for the spaghetti dish to be changed just for me. Thank you and excellent value for money.

My veggie burger was not pretending to be a beef burger and tasted lovely. Friends had the fish special which they also enjoyed. The only trouble with our lunchtime visit was that their fruit crumble was apparently not as good as the one I make at home. I made the right choice with the chocolate pudding!

The appearance is that of an ordinary cafe/diner. It is clean and the staff are lovely and care about your satisfaction. The food ranges from very good to excellent, although the chips can be poor occasionally, so to be safe, choose the mash instead. The a la carte menu has a reasonable range and it's all good with reasonable portions - especially the yummy fish n chips. The specials menu changes daily and tend to be excellent. As well as a range of standard and special desserts, there is a range of cakes/gateaux and home made scones too.Mains on the special board tend to be about £10 which I think is spot on for the value and quality. In better surroundings etc. this would be priced at £15+.

The food may be good...I didn't try it. Went in for a drink, my husband had a cake. Throughout our stay, the waitress brushed up the dusty floor around us. I find this very ill- mannered. Surely the staff realise people stop for refreshment to relax not for someone to be clearing up around them. The cafe was more or less empty and not due to close. She then abandoned her brush and announced loudly that she had a problem with her 'bladder' and needed to go to the ladies. We might as well not been there. Avoid.

Chose to have lunch here so my daughter could bring her dog. It was very busy so booking advisesable . Waitress reeled off all the specials to us, would have been nice to have them written down to give you time to think. As we didn’t make an immediate decision she went and didn’t come back so eventually ordered at the counter. Food was all good but didn’t like the cramped tables and constantly slamming door

How anyone can complain about anything in relation to the "Potting Shed" is beyond me, those few that have must make a living from complaining. As a regular customer like many others, I find the staff, the menu, prices and everything about the Cafe to be of the highest quality. Long may it continue. TJ

Dropped in yesterday with my wife and her daughter for a bite of lunch. We have been here before for a coffee and cake but this was the first time we've stopped for a cooked meal. Very friendly service and great home cooked food. I had the liver and bacon with mash and onions, very tasty. My wife and her daughter had the Cajun chicken which they said they thoroughly enjoyed. Just the right amount of spice.

Heard about this cafe and after visiting it we are truly hooked. Great homemade meals, cakes and super friendly service. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. Very well organised staff and we noted that several tables had been reserved. We can see why as very popular cafe. Lunch was superb at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with family. I am vegetarian and they were happy to accommodate me with a gorgeous slice of quiche. We sat outside as the weather was quite nice. Note that the cafe is tucked away on the side of the garden center.

If like us you require Decaf drinks this maybe isn't the place to visit unless you enjoy the ridicule of an over familiar owner and assuming the blunt wit is to your taste , you might be disappointed when you can't get a table because most of them have been reserved which is strange as you would think he would welcome passing trade.

The venue is great , the staff were very friendly and made sure the children had their food first, which was thoughtful; but the food let it down.

The Angler has had a “customer confusing” time during the last five’s years as it morphed through many stages from The Mill Street Pub and Kitchen in 2019 to its current new Nepalese style dining set up. At each stage I’ve giver The Angler a try and while there were moments of inspirational magnificence from many of its proprietors, there was sadly no consistency with its menu offer, food quality or service. Considering the above (and knowing there are 6 other Asian restaurants in town)I was still happy to try the new Nepalese offering to assess its potential and I am happy to report that I enjoyed the food and the enthusiasm from the team yesterday evening. Everything we ordered was delivered to our table well cooked and well presented and everything tasted very good. I had a lamb dish which was very tasty with well cooked and tender lamb meat. The two different chicken main courses my friends enjoyed were equally delicious. We shared three starters which also hit the spot. Good tasty food. Great service and good value!! Well done to Suq & Manish and their colleagues for a good dining experience. Stay consistent with the food, service and value and we will be back for more. No consistency equals no customers!!
