A warm welcome and a delicious Cappuccino. Thank you! I visit occasionally with my dog and he enjoys his biscuit. Well done

A truly authentic piece of Portugal in the centre of Horsham! Lovely food, extremely friendly hospitable and courteous staff, and very reasonable prices. The pastel de nata are baked freshly on site, and are truly delicious!! A really interesting cafe to sit in also, with lots of Portuguese products to browse through. Will be heading back very soon!

This is definitely a go-to place if you are in Horsham. The menu has a Scandinavian flavour, and my apple cake was deliciously flavoured with cinnamon. The scandi breakfast would be very tempting for those with big appetites. But be warned; it gets busy and is often closed in school holidays.

We had a wonderful stay last weekend; we arrived to be greeted with a warm welcome from the reception staff, our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. Dinner was delicious, a 5-course tasting menu and you can choose from a choice of 3 items for each course. The wine list is extensive and it's all on a tablet where you can select and compare a shortlist before choosing. Breakfast was equally fabulous, a huge choice made to order, and the cooked breakfast was lovely and hot (not always the case). The birds at the castle are a little noisy at sunset/sunrise - if you are sensitive to noise or want to sleep late, bring your earplugs. We weren't bothered by it though. Another review mentioned that the rooms are not sound proofed: it's a 12th century castle, and you can hear things like you would in any hotel. It wasn't a problem at all for us. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. Amberley village is lovely for a short walk - they have the Black Horse pub which is fantastic for a drink before dinner, and the food is great there if you're not eating in the hotel. Arundel Castle and town is nearby and also worth a visit even when the castle is closed. Several independent shops and cafes, and you can walk along the River Arun too. We will definitely return to the hotel!
