A very friendly cafe,nothing is to much trouble,the staff are always ready to have a chat when it's not to busy.the food is excellent ,but don't expect a full English! The cuisine is strictly Swedish

Absolutely love this place. Toast Skagen is my most favourite brunch / lunch dish in Horsham. Can’t wait to retire and frequent more often! Good coffee too..! Oh, and the cardamom (and cinnamon) buns are delicious

Lovely food choices, nice well made coffee and efficient friendly staff. A very clean cafe which I value highly. Not the cheapest in town but one of the best. I just with the coffees were larger, I sometimes need two!

I went to this beautiful cafe this morning for the first time. It has a lovely calm atmosphere. I was served by a lovely girl called Mya, who made me feel so welcome and looked after. She was quick and efficient and made me smile. The banana cake was delicious. Highly recommend.

Food is great. Cakes are EXCELLENT. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. you may need to wait for a seat but its worth it every time.

A good selection of cakes and a lovely café to spend time at, waiters very friendly and good/fast service. The princess cake (shown in photo) was delicious! The open sandwich was ok but nothing special, I would have preferred a black bread with seeds instead of rye bread. I also found it a bit pricey for one slice with some brie and lingonberry, I think it was around £7. I would come back but for cakes only.

Lovely cafe, been a few times now and becoming our regular when in Horsham. Great food, lovely relaxed atmosphere, exceptionally clean, family run business. Highly recommend the Salmon Sandwich and the Swedish Raspberry cake!!

Delicious cakes with a coffee. They serve it with custard or whipped cream. Welcoming staff and owner is warm and lovely. I highly recommend orange almond cake, apple cake. Lovely flavour and super soft. Brownies/ chocolate cake is too sweet for my taste. Open sandwich (special Swedish) made with cream, prawns. Also Brie and jam (special Swedish conserve) are good.

Very pleasant way of spending time. Good selection of drinks, superb choice of cakes. The cinnamon bun in the photo tasted lovely without being overpowering or sweet. The texture was light but substantial. It's a tough job not ordering a load of different ones, so steer clear if you can't afford to be tempted. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasing, with lots of smiling faces, quiet chatter and interesting decor. Lots of products on sale too.

Love this cafe , super friendly staff. The drinks are great. Can't comment too much on the food as usually just have drinks but the one time I did have a cake it was very nice and the biscuits we had this time were also very nice. Great to sit in the ski lift pods outside too - something different , been in them 3 times in the last week or so lol.

This cafe is the main reason for going to Horsham. A visit will leave you feeling uplifted and happy. René who owns and runs it is one of the friendliest and nicest people you will ever meet. The cakes and biscuits are all lovely. It’s a wonderful place.

I’ve been wanting to pop in here for years for Fika. I have family in Sweden. It was so friendly the cakes were amazing and wonderful coffee too. We were told by friends to have the scrambled egg with salmon that was a real treat. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Popped in today, having walked past for years and was very pleased I did. René gave us a friendly welcome and we were very impressed with the selection of authentic Swedish cakes. The caramel rooibos and the banana cake were seriously good! I particularly enjoyed reading the Swedish sayings in the menu! 😂

We really enjoyed our visit yesterday- the owner greeted us warmly and the staff ensured there was room for our buggy. It was very cosy - beautifully decorated for Christmas - and the food was very tasty. We’ll definitely be calling in again soon.

Such a lovely experience at Johansson's Café on Saturday. Stopped with a friend for coffee and cake and it did not disappoint! Staff were so friendly and attentive and my oat latte and lemon cake were simply to die for. Quite a small cafe so if you want to get a seat come early!

Ate here today in one if the pods. It was fantastic. The soup was absolutely delicious and my husband had the meatball toastie which he really enjoyed. Thank you sk much for a truly memorable experience.

Amazing cakes, soft and rich sponges- if they aren't actually freshly made they are using some sort of magic to make them taste so good. Owner and staff are lovely and kind.

The owner is very welcoming and the customer service ok. I had a coffee and was ok although they didn’t have skimmed milk. The scrambled egg with salmon is nice too.

Wonderful place to sit and do Fika (not sure if I've spelt it right!). Get there early if you want Skagen, the delicious prawns on toast, it runs out fast as it's delicious. You'll walk out of this place feeling like you've left the cares of the world behind you.

Hi, myself and five friends came for a get together. Obviously the cafe is quite small, but the staff were so helpful by organising tables near the window. We all enjoyed our coffee and cake and were served by exceptionally efficient and happy staff. Well done !

Great food and great atmosphere, normally impeccable service, but today when I had finished and my partner was paying, I was asked to stand up from my table by a waitress so someone else could take my seat - my partner was then handed his coat and we were pretty much ushered out the door. A shame, as it's probably my favourite cafe in Horsham.

A stand out cafe in Horsham. Managing to be stylish and eclectic at the same time, it has a cosy atmosphere and absorbs you into a Swedish world. Really great coffee (I’m a fussy coffee drinker) and I’d highly recommend the cinnamon buns. Swedish fayre and warm Swedish hospitality. Highly recommend!

Best café in Horsham. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The meatball and lingonberry jam panini is a favourite. Great Swedish cakes and pastries.

René is a lovely friendly host, the atmosphere in the café is wonderful, the cappuccino is the best I’ve tasted, and you can have a lovely healthy Swedish breakfast.

What a wonderful change to the usual standard, homogenised affair. The menu is not huge - this means that what you get is of the best quality and is cooked perfectly. And it is beautifully Swedish. Service is relaxed and friendly. Magic.

Feels like you stepped into Sweden! Lovely atmosphere very Christmassy! Had a tradition mulled wine served with a gingerbread and nuts and raisins followed by a hotdog and a traditional full Swedish breakfast! Was delicious will definitely be back!

For our first visit we ordered just coffee. Cappuccino was fine, latte was difficult to cope with in a glass with no handle - hot! The decor was charming and the array of cakes looked lovely, so we'll be back.

What a wonderful place! Absolutely fantastic service, delicious toast skagen and princess cake! We came across the cafe just by chance as we were passing through with our cycles. For any Scandi looking for a piece of home, this is a fabulous cafe to enjoy some fika time! We’ll be sure to return…

We stumbled across this cafe while shopping in Horsham. I had avocado on rye bread and my husband had the Swedish breakfast. Both were very tasty but it was the cake that was the standout for me. We had a lemon cake and a Princesstårta. Both were home made and so light and fluffy. We will definitely be back.

This is a gem of a place in Horsham. Tea, coffee, cakes and buns were so delicious we will definitely be back for more. Staff were bright and friendly. Atmosphere was very Swedish in a cool kinda way.

Wow! the cinnamon buns are the best I have ever eaten. The classic princess cake for a special occasion is absolutely delicious and will not fail to delight everyone's' taste buds. A wonderful place to frequent. Service is excellent and it has a pleasant ambience. It will not disappoint.

Great coffee, delicious cakes and a very polite, friendly and professional owner.

Went once only, great coffee, unfortunately I did have to sit outside as indoor was busy, obviously was a Saturday morning time. Will review again next time i visit the coffee shop.

I’m hesitant to put on a review as it’s always busy already. This is a little gem in Horsham. The food is just great. A Swedish menu I think. The open sandwiches are great and the cakes and bits. The best thing though is the Princess cake. They only make it on weekends but it’s worth the wait. The staff are great too. I like the new loyalty cards too.

Loved it. The toast Skagen was amazing and made a nice change to the usual brunch dishes. The cakes all looked amazing- I ended up with a cinnamon roll that I was too full for… finished it anyway!

Really lovely place for coffee and cake. The staff are always welcoming and cheery and they always have a lovely vegan or dairy free cake. It's very popular and always busy.

Lovely cafe. Nice staff. Tips for improvement after witnessing potential customers being balked and couples holding tables for 4 and not sharing. Remove larger tables and replace with tables for two that can be conjoined. Suits 2 or 4. Carousel of food could be replaced with another table. This will increase capacity and income. Make for happier customer base. Currently 50/50 chance of getting seat even with place at 50% capacity.
