Very friendly waitress who was very kind and brought my friend's dog a bowl of water 3 times. The Fish and chips was great. The batter very light and fish fresh.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We decided to go to this pub for lunch today, and we deeply regret it. First and foremost, the service was impeccable. The food was very well presented and tasty, and the atmosphere was the best of traditional pub vibes with the added bonus of being very clean and comfortable. Thank you, Cormac, for looking after our group so well. Highly recommend the pub

The Food was okay But for the price it was not good. The meat was good but without spices. The quiz was really boring and we didn‘t had much fun.

Great spot in central west London, best service I have had in a long while, we had the black pudding and pork sausage roll, meat was juicy and black pudding full of flavour (shared) we then went for the Haddock and chips and wow just wow I can’t explain when this came out I was extremely happy, the portion was excellent and perfectly cooked, crisp batter surrounding succulent white flesh that was still juicy, some of the best chips o have had and all the accompanying bits and bobs, tar-tar sauce, mushy peas, charred lemon all the good stuff, my friend had the Bavette steak, chips, blue cheese sauce and cress it looked lovely, the service was fantastic from all the staff, the bar was busy and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a few drinks to go with all very very recommended, shout out to this place as it has come a great way with the new management a place to certainly enjoy don’t pass it up

Lovely spot to have dinner with family and friends, super recommended the scotch egg and their Signature Pie! A special thanks to Grace, she looked after us the whole meal and have been so understanding with our kids.

Spacious and clean with a modernised London pub atmosphere. It has good food for its standard level. Staff are great, always hardworking, upbeat as possible and obliging in doing their utmost to help with table bookings, particularly at busy times with televised sports events.

Amazing Pub, the staff is incredible and will make sure you have a great evening! They offer great comfort food and fantastic Sunday roast. The Garden area is lovely and they are dog friendly. I always visit this pub when I’m in London.

I walked into PortChester and straightaway told the bartender I was a tourist from Massachusetts and I wanted an authentic English Ale. He could have rolled his eyes at me. Instead he was very engaging and gave me some tastes of some great English pale ales and cask ales. Even the locals at the bar weren’t too annoyed with me when I said I didn’t want to have Guinness! Great service and great beer. I didn’t have any food, but I should have. If I’m back in the UK, I’ll be back at The Portchestervv

The food was excellent! Our server was so kind and took care of our needs. The drinks were delicious as well. Definitely try this place out.

Our first full day in London and our number one priority was having Sunday roast. We were staying in Bayswater so looked at a few restaurants near the hotel. We couldn’t resist the name of this place. We arrived to a classic English pub with the most charming and helpful waiter. I’m terribly sorry I forgot his name. because we had just been flying, we weren’t particularly hungry. We asked to share a Sunday roast portion and he said let me bring you two children’s plates instead. Perfect! And we got our own Yorkshire pudding, which is the whole point of Sunday roast. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. and the overall vibe was super chill and lovely

The food was delicious and the attendants very kind! One of them was Shub and there was another one so kind too. It was late in The alternoon and we’ve just arrived from the airport starving. The boys provided us a table even without booking before. It was all very good!

Decent pub just off Queensway, catering for all, there's a small garden but the sign is hidden so I did not discover it until I went to the loo. Good Guinness.

Very pleasant surprise. Looking for a quaint place near our hotel, we randomly came across this Pub. The staff were very kind and helpful in explaining the various dishes and beers. The food was really good and cared for and prices were in the English average

The pub located near Royal Oak station was the perfect stop off place for dinner before my friend had to head back home via Paddington (roughly 10 min walk) The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and the food (I had the burger and chips) was delicious, helped down with a brilliantly poured Guinness, I will be back for sure.

Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur ce pub typique en nous rendant vers Nothing Hill. Nous avons pris tous les deux un fish and chips,qui était vraiment très bon. Pour ce qui est du service, l’amabilité et le sourire de Cormac sont à complimenter !

5/5 service at the Porchester, on a girls trip to London we landed at the Porchester during our visit around Bayswater/Paddington, service was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious, we started off with a few cocktails as you do, we got a few small plates and sharing bits for the table to nibble on, the Camembert was beautiful and the Charcuterie plate had coppa (never had this before) but was super delicious with grilled peaches yummy and a scampi bites to just have a bit of everything, the Margs were probably some of the best we have ever had, we also tried the Strawberry cosmos recommended by of of the wait satff, over all will definitely be recommending to all of my friends thanks guys for a great treat. We were thoroughly enjoying our experience here until a toddler started to use the space around the dining tables as a playground. The family were also nursing a babe in arms. When were babies and toddlers allowed in your pub please? The low ambience rating is because of this …it was delightful once the little people had left.

Good lunchtime food with excellent service, however, spoilt when a toddler used the area around diners as a playground and the babe in arms was a little fractious..I wasn’t allowed in a pub as a well behaved child let alone as a baby or toddler, am I missing a new law regarding babies in pubs? Is this pub allowing babies inside during the evening as well?

Crazy fish & chips Really friendly staff Ideal for a very London lunch

Been here many times, since Cormack took over it’s the best it’s been!!! We were here yesterday for my birthday lunch with family, a warm welcome, a complimentary glass of champagne and the best Sunday Roast (I have the Vegetarian option) with all the trimmings.Excellent service, the staff are polite, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My mother is in a wheelchair and they are very accommodating. Sorry I can’t provide Photo’s as i didn’t take any,I did take a video, but can’t share it.

Second visit after a disappointing first one, and safe to say they really redeemed themselves this time around. We should have had the pork roast from the beginning; it was tender and melts in your mouth when you eat it, the crackling was super tasty, veggies were lovely and so were the pigs in blankets, and the yorkshire pudding soaked up the gravy nicely. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect end to the meal. Some very very minor suggestions such as the Cauliflower Cheese could be better seasoned and the potatoes were slightly tough/overdone but overall the staff handled quite a busy Sunday really well. Service was great overall. It is very clear now why people keep recommending the roast at The Porchester and why people keep coming back.

Perfect clean interior with amazing service. The welcoming greeting the second you step in with nice and warm food. 10/10 in the area.

I've walked past this pub about a hundred times, always thinking about stopping by. Finally did, and I'm glad I did. It's been recently refurbished, so everything feels fresh and the interior is really inviting. They've got a good selection of beers too. Haven't tried the food yet, but that's on my list for the next visit

Liam was a fantastic host. The Porchester never disappoints with its delicious food, excellent range of wines, beers and spirits and the stunning exterior. Its lovely not to be rushed and to be able to relax there.

Great selection of drinks and classic pub dishes. My fish and chips was perfect and the service was really quick. I will be returning.

It takes me 3 trains to get to the Porchester and is totally worth it. The food is made from scratch daily and is always top notch. I have had the burger twice,chicken and leak pie and the steak. If you haven't been, you are missing out.

There are seriously no words to describe how amazing my experience was at the Porchester Pub. I am visiting from Canada and so happy that I made the decision to stop by here, will definitely be a go to spot every time I visit and would highly suggest it to others as well. Service was quick and efficient, food was delicious (chicken pie WOW) and the staff… unreal service. I believe it was Tom, Grace and Kyle working and even though it was a busy Friday night, they were super quick, friendly and always had a smile on their faces. (The staff was quite a good looking team as well, especially Tom). Thanks for the amazing experience guys ! Great work Porchester team xx

One of best Sunday roasts I have ever had Great friendly service from Liam and Tom

First time having Sunday Roast at our 'local'. Best we've had in London! The Yorkshire Pudding was huge! The beef was perfectly cooked. Enjoyed apple crumble and sticky toffee for pudding. The staff were amaxing...Grace and Cormac were a delight and took time to have a personal chat. A wonderful time. I noticed when someone ordered the pub burger. It looked amazing. I'll be back to try that!

Went to the Porchester for a family lunch and also to watch the rugby. Staff was amicalble, food was delicious and served promptly. The Fish n chips possibly is one of the best in London

Had a great lunch at The Porchester today. Cormac was friendly, efficient and thoughtful (brought extra serviettes when he saw I would need them without being asked). Friendly atmosphere and not too busy. Would highly recommend.

The fish and chips were made fresh. The ale was good. The service was fantastic. We had a flight to catch and the server got our meals out quickly, without sacrificing quality, and helped us with our route to Heathrow, as a tree was across the express tracks.

A great offering from the Youngs stable. The Dorchester has a great atmosphere and offers everything we expect from a Youngs pub. A very comfortable pub with plenty of wood along with some exposed brick. Great service and a great pint of beer. A great place to stop while exploring the backstreets of Notting Hill and Bayswater.

Liam was so welcoming for our first trip to a London pub. Sat my mom and I in a really great booth and gave 10/10 service.

Visited recently one of the party had a broken ankle and the staff were really kind and helpful they made sure we had choice of a suitable table. The Sunday roast beef and chicken were lovely. Polite and professional staff nice pub for a glass of wine and a chat. Will definitely visit against
