A very friendly owners made me feel very welcome and comfortable- authentic Argentinian cuisine which was delicious, excellent wine selection. Not stupid money.

Very chill atmosphere, good was excellent. We had a very friendly service from Alejandra that we will never forget!

This should have been a five star rating. This was my second visit, and the food and service have been amazing both times. For my 44 birthday we booked a table at nine, when we arrived we were told the kitchen would close at nine thirty, and that was no problem for us. After some time we were told the restaurant would close at ten thirty. Strange that we were not aloud two hours after our booking, but ok. Then at ten the music stopped, and they started to prepare to leave. Sadly we felt more like unwanted guests than paying customers.

Casa Malevo is a fantastic hidden gem in London! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. The Argentine steaks are perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, complemented by delicious empanadas and chimichurri. Their Malbec selection is top-notch. Highly recommend for an authentic Argentine dining experience!

Lovely, from beginning to end. Started with the empanadas, beef and ham. Wine suggestion was perfect with my fillet. Added broccoli and garlic chips. My dining companion throughly enjoyed the 20z rib eye and creamed spinach. Although very cozy, I would suggest a visit for an enjoyable experience! Desert included the Argentine crapes and chocolate mousse. AMAZING!

Ribeye was excellent and cooked perfectly.The tall waiter was amazing (didn’t catch his name). Booked on a whim and left extremely satisfied. The service charge being inclusive in the bill and then suggesting an additional tip for the waiter was confusing however. A point the restaurant should clarify

Good bits: Tasty ribeye and creamed spinach. Bad bits: Cold steaks (ribeye and sirloin), too little broccoli for 7£, boring chorizo side, sub-average chips. Atmosphere was OK, but it didn't help we were the only customers on a Sunday at 4PM. Service was all good.

**Updated Review** I first came here 6 years ago and gave a rave review (see below). But time has not been good to Casa Malevo. The staff seemed confused. Several orders on other tables were wrong or out of sync (I was offered someone else's dish). As for the food...it was average to poor at this price point. The Ceviche starter was tasty. But the main course of ribeye steak was poor. The quality of the meat was clearly not the highest. Didn't detect any decent ageing or marbling in the meat. It was under seasoned. The bernaise sauce was stone cold and overly gloopy. The spinach side was nice enough. The sweetbread side was the star of the show. Perfectly cooked. The atmosphere remains cosy. But without the food and the service quality, this restaurant is nowhere near as good as it once was. Review from 6 years ago below... This is everything you could want from a very good restaurant. Absolutely excellent food (octopus salad nearly had me on my knees), lovely atmosphere, and pricey enough to feel like a treat but not such that it ever gets near feeling guilty. Top work to the team at Casa Malevo.

Very cosy and intimate setting🤍 The interior also looks very much like a traditional Argentinian restaurant Ribeye steak (medium-rare) was perfectly cooked and seasoned (we didn’t order any extra sauce) 👍🏻 Burrata (started) was okay, tomatoes were not the best ones but they were also okay The plating of the dish was beautiful though The dessert (chocolate marquise) was the highlight of the dinner😍 it was very rich and smooth, paired with crunchy caramelised rice cracker, and an ice cream of your choice 🤤 Service was nice too

This has become our go-to restaurant which provides a warm and cosy atmosphere for an informal lunch after our company's quarterly meetings in London. The food is delicious and beautifully presented; the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and food. Highly recommended!

Amazing steak and the wine selection was top class:

We expected better. We booked this place to celebrate the 70th birthday of our friend, who was born in Argentina. The location and interior were delightful. It was a nice touch that the steaks, cooked to different levels of doneness, were served at the same time. The chocolate Marquise dessert and traditional empanadas were very tasty. However, there are many areas that need improvement. Firstly, when we arrived, the waitress seemed very tired. When we mentioned our reservation, she simply gestured silently toward one of the tables. That table was in a very awkward spot, making it difficult even for younger guests to sit down and get up. We asked for a different table, and the waitress, again silently and with a displeased expression, gestured toward another table near the door. We chose it to at least have easier access to the restroom. However, this was far from ideal, as we were constantly disturbed by the slamming doors, cold drafts, and delivery couriers. While such a setting might be perfectly fine for a casual dinner, it is not appropriate for a special occasion. Additionally, the same waitress was quite disrespectful in her service. When I ordered a steak cooked to a specific level, she responded, "Are you sure? That medium well will be almost well done, dry and firm...," and continued explaining. My friends had to turn it into a joke to stop her, as I had no intention of explaining my health concerns and dietary needs. I simply placed my order and expected it to be accepted without unnecessary comments. When the vegetables were served in a bowl, it became evident that the waitress's long fingernails had touched the food. She made no effort to hold the bowl properly to avoid her fingers and nails coming into contact with the contents. On a positive note, another waitress who occasionally came to our table was entirely different—respectful, kind, and understanding. Thanks to her efforts, we managed to finish our meal at this establishment, as she genuinely tried to make our experience pleasant.

This is an awesome place, with awesome food and atmosphere. The steak was lovely and they have some excellent Argentinian wine.

This is a fantastic restaurant on a lovely street in a great part of London. Loved my Pisco Sour to start. Perfectly prepared. Not too sweet. To be fair, I'm a devotee of Argentine open fire grilling, and a harsh critic if the flavors don't remind me of the years I lived in Argentina and the copious amounts of beef I consumed directly off of a parilla or at an asado. Matambre (rosemeat), mollejas (sweatbreads) tira de asado (short rib) , morcilla (blood pudding) and chorizo are my favorites, and I order them whenever they are on a menu to transport myself back to Argentina whenever I can. At Casa Malevo, I ordered the chorizo, mollejas, morcilla and a rump steak. A proper mixed grill asado. Matambre (pork or beef) is almost impossible to find in any restaurant outside of Argentina for reasons I won't bore you, same for proper tira de asado. The morcilla was superb. Outstanding hearty flavor with even flavoring, cooked perfectly. As was the chorizo. They should sell choripan sandwiches out of a food truck and make a mint. I ordered the cuadríl (rump steak), and not the ribeye (which would have been my first choice), because I felt it would be a good test of the asador. Rump is usually a tougher cut, easier to overcook and render it to digestable leather, but when done right it brings that rich beef flavor and salt and crust combination to life. Its was very, very good. I would have salted it a bit more before grilling it, and tried to put a bit more of a crust on the outside, but the temperature was perfect and it was clearly NOT beef from a damp English farm in York. It was rich and clean at the same time. Pure awesome beef. There was a line of tissue in the that made a portion of it hard to cut up and chew, but after everything else I had ordered eaten, it wasn't a problem to put the fork down and leave it alone! The one (and only) disappointment was the mollejas (sweatbreads). Properly prepared, they should have a crispy exterior with the salt and lemon dancing together, a firm but and juicy interior with that utterly unique flavor which is distinctly Argentine. The preparation was promising, but the quality of the sweatbreads was disappointing. The taste was like mutton; a little gamey, a little freezer burn (maybe)? Not what I'd hoped for, and to be honest, mollejas are my favorite alongside matambre, so I was a little sad as I chased an underwhelming bite with a lovely glass of the house malbec. It's the only reason I couldn't give the food 5 stars. I'm sure (and I hope) those who don't care for mollejas will find this section of the review irrelevant, as they should, because it was a total outlier to the rest of the experience. I appreciate it's probably very difficult to source proper sweatbreads, and perhaps this serving was a bad batch. Did I not mention I had the burrata and tomato salad? One must have a salad on the side with this much meat, even if 1/2 of it is a ball of PERFECT mozzarella that It was also excellent. I wrapped everything up with a homemade flan with dulce de leche, dressed with a assortment of nuts, alongside a double espresso. Perfect fairytale ending. Firm and rich with an array of flavor, the flan was perfect. The service outstanding, two lovely and non-judgemental (of the volume of my consumption) servers who indulged my effort to regain my fluency in castellano. They were good company in the casual way a single cover alone at a table for two appreciates. All in all, this is my favorite Argentine restaurant in the city. Please do see so for yourself. Try the morcilla and the chorizo, skip the mollejas I'm afraid, and treat yourself to a steak. Enjoy the casual elegance at the atrium setting in the back of the restaurant or along the front windows side where a classic London side street sets the scene. Great spot for a date, a dinner with friends, lunch outside on the street, any reason you can think of is a good one to try Casa Malevo. Enjoy!

Casa Malevo is hands down one of the coziest spots I’ve ever been to in London. The atmosphere is incredible, with a setup that feels both intimate and warm. They’ve nailed the soundtrack too, playing some classic hits from the 70s and 80s that really add to the vibe. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us feel right at home. As for the food, it was good, though I was expecting a bit more given their reputation for quality meats. We shared the Ribeye Twister, which, while flavorful, was a little on the chewy side. The starters and sides were solid and tasty, just wished the steak had matched the high expectations. That said, I’m definitely considering coming back to try a different cut. Overall, Casa Malevo is a memorable place with a fantastic ambiance and a friendly team.

Absolutely unreal experience. Without doubt one of the best steaks I’ve ever had; cooked to perfection. The restaurants decor is beautiful and the staff are extremely polite, pleasant, and welcoming. This is pricy, but ultimately you get what you pay for, and this definitely won’t disappoint.

My wife and I ate here for the second tine and this is our favorite place for a quality steak in London. The service is excellent and its located in a quaint area.

I found this little gem totally by chance earlier in the week and am so happy I did. The empanada was like none of the ones I had tasted before (in a good way!). The steak was incredible and came with fabulous chips and great bernaise. Together with a very smooth Pinot Noir dinner was perfect. Service and surroundings were charming and delightful. Highly recommended

The place was cosy…Alejandra was welcoming. Price was affordable and food was tasty. They have a lunch set menu which was very affordable. We had empanada in ham and cheese and chicken which was tasty. 17 oz Ribeye is good for sharing and was cooked to our liking. Seabas in escabeche sauce was very tasty. Overall we had a lovely experience and will definitely recommend.

This is one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. Service was excellent. We didn’t know the wines of South America but tasted a few before we decided. Menu is great. We weren’t that hungry and chose the smallest and cheapest steak. It tasted well but they could have been more tender. Fries were the best. Burger was rated 75% by our 13 year old expert due to a lack of sauce in the burger. To me it looked amazing. Dessert was awesome. Highly recommended

We had a team dinner in a dedicated room! One big table with 12 people! The meat is good quality and the taste is delicious. However, as a person living in France, the medium-well meat is different than the one in London.

Having recently returned from a visit yo Argentina, I was craving some good empanadas and a great steak I was not disappointed ! Great service, lovely wine recommendations with tastings to help. We love this neighbourhood restaurant and come here often. I’m pescetarian and the Seabass with escabeche is delicious, my husband eats everything and goes for one of the steaks. It’s a small menu but everything is very well cooked and the flavours well balanced. The chef really knows what s/he is doing. This evening I had grilled octopus with broccoli as a starter and it was very flavoursome. The triple cooked chips with garlic and parsley are utterly addictive! It has some very nice wines and cocktails and is great value for London too. Nice ambience for couples or friends and staff are friendly without being intrusive. We will be back!

Went as part of an Amex experience restaurant hopping tour within the london restaurant festival. Service was excellent. Restaurant decor and vibe was great. Food was delicious. We had premium Argentine steak with grilled vegetables. Owner was amazing and a delight to chat with.

Every dish we had was amazing, especially the empanadas and ribeye steak. You can tell it is made from scratch in their kitchen. Food was good value for money. Service was a bit slow, despite the restaurant being fairly quiet.
