Friendly staff, food of a good quality

A little disappointed 😞, we were well placed but the restaurant is very noisy, we couldn't hear ourselves speak. The dishes are too simple compared to the exorbitant price. We're paying for the view, that's for sure. Disappointed that the garden isn't lit. Nice touch for our anniversary. And our server is too charming and on top of things, Telmo Borges, who made the effort to speak a few words of French 😉

Akin was an excellent server. He was very attentive and friendly.I reserved a window table for a panoramic view of the city. I didn’t realize that I would get a window view of a distant window that overlooked the city. I wouldn’t have paid extra for this table if I would’ve known this. Overall, the food and service were very good. The atmosphere was certainly unique.

Definitely an extraordinary experience. The food is good, the service is friendly and helpful, the decor is nice and the atmosphere is amazing due to the fantastic location of the restaurant at the top of a skyscraper. It's not cheap but it's definitely worth it.

Very nice kids friendly restaurant at the top of Walkie Talkie building located in the City of London. This restaurant you have to book in advance and also need to be aware of the cancellation policy. Would suggest trying the Sea Bream, Pork Chop or Yorkshire Pudding. Tandoori Chicked was a bit too dry. The deserts were delicious and light, especially the Hazelnut Ferrero and Basque Cheesecake. They also have a good kids menu.

The whole experience from entering to leaving was a unique experience. Our server was Telmo, a very happy, eager to please person. He organised a surprise celebration plate to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Very impressed with him, lovely personality.

Nasim, our waiter, was so friendly and we had the most delicious, fresh, breakfast. Extremely reasonably priced for London and considering the quality of food, the views and the wonderful service from all of the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and I will definitely visit again when I'm back in London!

My friend had reserved a table for breakfast, it said the time slot given online would be held for 30 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes after the time which is within 30 minutes, and when we arrived, we were greeted at reception, and asked to go upstairs to the restaurant. When we got to the restaurant, the first waitress said they had stopped serving breakfast. We were then sat at the table and given full dinner menus (it was 11am). We just thought okay then we will just have a coffee and go. However, the waitress that we got had an awful attitude. I’ve never seen it so poor, especially from a high end marketed place like this. She then demanded we pay minimum of £25 main course from the dinner menu each (even though we came for breakfast).. We then politely said we will just have a drink and go. The waitress then said she was getting her manager to come and speak to us. (Never came) .. She then brought us the coffee and juice we asked for, but was very rude to us about it. She rudely asked us to make space to put the drinks with no manners and a rude tone, and said we have 30 minutes to go. We are all in our early 20s, and this was beyond anything we’ve really ever experienced. This is incredibly poor customer service. She then couldn’t be bothered to split the bill, and put on a service charge tip of 13.5% which is a joke for the level of service she gave us. It was Andreea that served us..

We had lunch. I told the manager that I was unable to reserve a window table and that it was our anniversary and we got lucky and got a super table. They gave us an extra dessert for our anniversary.

Food is far better then you might expect, judging by a simple burger with fries. Don’t get black coffee tho, seems like brew here is supposed to go with milk

One of the best places for dinner in london!! From the moment I arrived at Darwin, I was met with a truly exceptional welcome from Molly and Naomi. Their warm smiles and friendly approach immediately made me feel at ease and set the tone for a fantastic experience. I had the pleasure of being looked after by Papa, and his service was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment he approached our table, Papa brought a warm, welcoming energy that immediately made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The food was great room for improvement of course but nothing to complain about. Will be recommending to everyone i know! This place deserves all the attention possible for how greatly they care for their customers.

Food was great. Servers we adequate. Hostess were useless. Restaurant was less then half full for the sitting and patrons were still given poor tables. I had to sit with my back to the view. Even though many prime tables were free no one sat there for 2hrs and we asked if we could move and we were lied too. Also no email before hand to say the viewing area in the sky Garden would be closed. Not a very worthwhile experience. This was my second visit and the first one was really nice, but the poor management was clear and hostess with no customer service experience.

Telmo is a total genius! Extremely kind, polite, very helpful, and willing to explain everything on the menu. Honestly, everything was perfect. The place was beautiful, but Telmo's service was even better. I would definitely come back.

A unique breakfast experience with the family — almost with full views! We enjoyed a lovely family breakfast at London’s Sky Garden, and the experience was unforgettable in many ways. The space is stunning — bright, well-maintained, and filled with greenery — and the relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for enjoying a calm meal together. The service was attentive, and the food selection was both varied and high-quality. My daughters found options they really liked, and having breakfast surrounded by plants and panoramic views made it all the more special. The only downside was that the main viewing terrace was closed for maintenance, and we hadn’t been informed in advance. For my daughters, who were excited to see London from above, it was a small disappointment. It would have been helpful to receive prior notice so we could better manage expectations. That said, we highly recommend the experience, especially for families. We’ll gladly return — hopefully next time with the full view included!

We had a lovely lunch here, food, service and atmosphere all first class. It’s not cheap but not something you do everyday! Would definitely recommend it.

It has been a good and short experience. The service has treated us great at all times. Above all, Telmo has helped us by advising us and with the language. It's a shame to have to go out because of the alarm and not be able to finish my tea. Very good evacuation management.

His energy was infectious, his service was flawless, and he had a genuine warmth that made our day extra special. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and gave fantastic recommendations from the menu. It’s rare to meet someone who clearly loves what they do, and Papa’s passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction. If you’re dining at Sky Garden, ask for Papa—you won’t be disappointed!

Obviously, what gives Darwin its appeal is its breathtaking view of central London and its futuristic buildings. And on that side, it’s impossible to be disappointed, the brewery keeps its promises and offers an exceptional panorama. When it comes to cuisine, the establishment does not betray its image either: the menu is coherent, varied without being too varied, the dishes are very good and even succeed in dispelling the good old prejudice about the hazardous culinary culture of the British. However, the price seems a little prohibitive to me, with a surcharge of £10 for being placed on the window side, even if one can hardly expect less for an establishment of this standard. As for the service, I would have appreciated if the waiter had been a little more discreet, and that he had not shown such annoyance at my difficulty in understanding his Spanish-English pronunciation of “allergies”, frankly not easy to understand for a French speaker visiting London…

Excellent breakfast, very well served by Szabi

I had a reservation at 2:30 p.m. which I was able to move to 4 p.m. without difficulty 15 minutes before time. Perched on the 36th floor with a view of the London Tower and the Tower Bridge from our table, we simply enjoyed our time in this brasserie. All 3 of us ordered cheeseburgers. It was a treat. I recommend with your eyes closed. Our desserts were also very good. For me, the pineaple cake with its passion fruit ice cream that I had to finish with a chocolate ice cream that my daughter didn't like. The service, we had to wait max 5 to 10min. The staff is pleasant and attentive. Also, the toilets are clean despite the number of passages. Congratulations to the entire Darwin Brasserie team, we really enjoyed our visit.

We had a fantastic breakfast at Darwin Brasserie in London. The pancakes were exceptionally delicious, perfectly fluffy and full of flavor. Our waiter, Papa, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a great start to the day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at a window seat. And our server was so personable and made the experience even better!

We were told to arrive 15-30 minutes before our reservation time to go through security and "enjoy the garden". We arrived 30 minutes before and were told outside that we could not enter the building until 10 minutes prior. Annoying but whatever: cocktails were fantastic. Foood was fine but was hoping for something more for the price.

Our server, Andreea, was wonderful. Very attentive without crowding us. We started with mimosas, which had fresh juice. Excellent. The bread plate starter was very fresh. 3 of us had starters of beet salad, pea soup and rhubarb/asparagus salad. Each agreed everything was fresh and tasty. Main courses were roast beef (rare, as requested) and yorkshire pudding for 2 of us, and pork chop for the other. Desserts were cheesecakes and rocher chocolate. Everything, again, was flavourful and fresh. The one word to describe everything is "fresh". If i have to find any flaws, though minor, would be the table with a view was tight for 3 people. More suitable for 2. And the espresso was served in large cup (6 oz instead of 2?). Although still tasty, not quite perfection. Many thanks to Andreea who made us feel welcome and brought a surprise birthday plate for our aunt celebrating 80 years.

Such a wonderful breakfast and the best view in all of London. The food was great but the service was even better. A young woman named Hita was attentive and efficient and truly made our day special. Really appreciated it.

We had breakfast hear and the food was very good. The wait staff (Oksana) was very kind and attentive. She always smiled was very patient with all of our questions. She refilled coffee and water multiple times. I had the Nordic smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and rye toast. My wife had the pancakes with the berry compote topped with clotted cream. I would recommend going with a small part of 2 or 3. We had a party of six and had a table near the middle. The tables with the best views were on the periphery and appear yo be two seaters. The views from Sky Garden are amazing and worth making a reservation at Darwin Brasserie. The fact the food was good too is a bonus.

With the excuse of "whenever it happens again" I booked (well in advance, practically two months before) a dinner to coincide with a birthday during a tour of London. You know what you spend (around £60 per head plus £10-15 if you want a table with a view). Good dinner but nothing transcendental, super friendly staff. Obviously the difference is made by the context and the panorama. I've probably spent more in worse places.

Overall, the experiences at Skygarden and the brasserie were very nice. The restaurant has an incredible location and the service was also very accommodating. The wine served was also very good. The food, however, can still be improved in some places. Unfortunately, the white bread as a starter (£6.50) was already stale. The steaks were good and the hamburger was appealing. The coconut cheesecake dessert tasted below average. The three scoops of ice cream were not recommended given the rather boring taste and the price of 12.50 pounds. But overall we would come back.

We recently celebrated a birthday at Darwin Brasserie in London, and the experience was lovely overall. The view from the 36th floor is truly spectacular—panoramic sights of the city through floor-to-ceiling windows, with lots of greenery both in the Sky Garden and inside the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and friendly. Everything felt fresh and clean. However, there were a few downsides: the kids’ menu portions were very small, the pasta came without the promised basil, and prices are quite high. Also, you can’t go straight to the restaurant—you walk through the Sky Garden first, which is beautiful but slightly unexpected. A sweet surprise came at dessert: a small birthday treat with a candle—just 3 cm tall! A tiny but thoughtful gesture. We give Darwin Brasserie 4 out of 5 stars. Great for a special occasion with a view. Telmo, our server- was great! 5 stars for him!

the Darwin Brasserie : If you expect a nice and relaxing evening, this it not the place you are looking for. This place is extremely loud. They put some inaudible background music which makes it even louder. I know it was not going to be cheap but this place is only looking to make more money. The food was good but definitely not special enough to save the evening.

Good food, nice ambience, however it was really noisy. Restaurant might consider introducing some acoustic solutions perhaps on the ceiling.

I have been to this place before. It was good experience before. This time it was awful. All they care is money. The reservation system is rubbish. No confirmation email after booking. When called, I waited 20 mins on the phone to get through. Then been told they have a technical issue. They cannot cancel my booking which they never sent me any confirmation. For any cancellation within 24 hours, they charge 25 pounds per person. Everyone has to order a main dish. So even just a child. And more ridiculously you only have the table for 1.15 hours. None of these were in place when I visited before. Won’t go again.

We spent a wonderful evening: brasserie with panoramic views of London inside the Sky Garden, excellent food with delicious gluten free options. Our waitress Hinda was kind, attentive and never intrusive and advised us on the best options, even moving us to a table with a direct view towards abroad. A perfect evening!!

⸻ My husband and I were recently in London celebrating my birthday. A colleague recommended that we visit the Sky Garden and have lunch at the Darwin Brasserie — and we are so glad we did. It was a wonderful experience all around. The Sky Garden itself was incredible, and having a delicious lunch made it even more memorable. We both enjoyed the burgers, starting with the olives and bread basket, and we also tried the Cherry Blossom Collins (a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage). The view from the restaurant was absolutely stunning. Another bonus: having a reservation at the Darwin Brasserie allowed us to skip the main line for the Sky Garden, making the visit even more seamless. We highly recommend it!

Food was amazing, the avocado toast blew my mind. The cappuccino was fantastic, and there was a cocktail that was something with cucumber and coconut that literally tasted like being on a beach, very refreshing and without any hint of over-sweetness.
