Our server Ashwin made our experience even better, he was fast and most importantly very sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. We got here 45 mins early to our reservation time but they were so kind to seat us early. I ordered the Darwin burger and my husband order the chicken dish with the chorizo we both loved our food. The view here is amazing but the food is 10/10. If you’re thinking about visiting please do !

He was so professional, friendly, quick, knowledgeable & has a fun bright spirit. Request Ashwin to be your server. But only if you’re going to be nice to him. He’s a great guy.

Came at 440 for a 5p dinner reservation for 3. Was able to walk around to see the view with no rush for time. Server - Elena took care of our party. I would honestly you should be asked to be seated in her section if you come. She’s knowledgeable, has tried many of the dishes, and helpful with any needs that arise to ensure you can enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, all of her efforts were not enough to save poorly prepared, uninspired, poorly seasoned, entrees. What was good: the bread to begin; the sweet potato fries, the walnut burger What was surprising: they do NOT do the beef burgers at your desired temperature. That is, all burgers are prepared at well done. Excuse me, are you civilized or are we playing catch up. Additionally with the sea bream I’ve never had anyone dump simply washed but unseasoned or unaltered chickpeas as part of a 30quid meal. Chef do better take pride. What was bad: the risotto & the beef burger. Both the risotto and the burger dishes had poor seasoning, poor flavor, cluttered palette notes, made worse by poorly sautéed vegan sausage and soggy bun bread, respectively. I can not in good conscience recommend any tourist or local come to this establishment FOR DINNER. Come for drinks, come for the view, but for dinner and a satisfying meal, take your time and money elsewhere. In solidarity, A food motivated individual

Very good food, spectacular service and the views are indescribable. However, don't expect cheap prices. Although the food is not as expensive as you would expect, the drinks are extremely expensive.

The food was really tasty, especially the pork chop. The atmosphere is really nice with amazing view, the staff are super nice and professional. That's a highly recommended restaurant and a must when visiting London.

Came here for breakfast! Overall a great place to catch up in the morning with friends or on a cute date. We had mimosas and bottomless filtered coffee - both perfect. Muffins to share - we expected mini muffins but go 3 regular muffins which was difficult to share. The lemon muffin was the best 😍. We ordered avocado toast, omelette, pancakes and eggs Florentine. Honestly all turned out amazing just a little salty or sweet respectively. All our servers were warm, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place. We opted for breakfast as there were more vegetarian options. Their lunch menu holds more NV options. As this place is located at Sky Gardens, you'll have to make reservations. Great views.

Beautiful restaurant at Sky Garden level with a beautiful view of London. However, it is better to book your free ticket for the Sky Garden and eat elsewhere given the excessive prices of the dishes. Unexceptional cuisine at too high prices.

Went here for Valentine’s Day, they didn’t announce that they have only specific menu with only 3 types of plates, you had nothing else to chose. Even though we wanted to leave, they told us that we still have to pay 135£ per person but we didn’t order anything. As we still had to pay we ordered food with was awful. The staff then was joking about this, because we didn’t like the food as it was not fresh he started saying if he should give it to us take away. The cakes came with flies inside. When I asked for another cake they came back with the same one. They gave us champagne at the entrance that we didn’t ask for and charged us £50 for it. Awful experience. For a starter, meal and cake, they charged us 300£ just because they didn’t have a normal menu.

Went there for Valentines 270 pounds wasted Don’t get fooled by the good reviews. The lighting looked like a cheap cafe, service was slow and waiters were literally talking to each other instead of doing customer service. The food on Val. Menu is a whole another story- the starters were disgusting, the butter is too salty. Mains were okay, but definitely not worth the hype.

Overall, it was a good experience in a very unique place.

Pretty lousy experience for an anniversary dinner if I'm being honest. Frist off, the tables are crammed together (reservation photos are misleading). I had a window table and was literally bumping elbows with a guy at an adjacent table, hearing all their conversations. Not the intimate setting I was expecting. Additionally, the service was terrible as everything took a long time (on a Monday night). Drinks/table water took 15 min, lemon for the water took another 25 min, waited 10 min for desert silverware that never came (ended up using our hands), and my bill took 20 minutes after asking. Only positive was the food was good. I'm not going back and I recommend you find another restaurant for a special occasion!

The english breakfast they serve is incredibly tasty, and the service is top notch. For a pretty reasonable price, you can have a bite or a drink with a great view to all of London.

Took my partner here for her birthday we went for breakfast she had Buttermilk pancake stack and I had The English which was delicious. What can I say the atmosphere and view was absolutely amazing the service was great and to top it off it was a sunny morning so overall very satisfied experience at the Darwin Brasserie.

Without a doubt, a wonderful place, it was my husband's birthday and I booked a table with a view, it is very worth it, the exquisite attention, and the unbeatable views, our waiter was Telmo who spontaneously gave a birthday surprise to my husband and we were delighted, it is better to have breakfast here than anywhere else in London since the value for money is wonderful, you can order unlimited coffee service which was delicious, the waiters put it on their ID. language they speak so you can have the option in Spanish :) Thank you very much you made our visit to London unforgettable :)

Ordinary breakfast - ham and eggs, and a full english breakfast. Not sure I would come again, but if I want to show someone around London and bring them to a place with a view, booking a window seat at this restaurant is definitely the move. They also provided a free birthday brownie, which made my guest’s day. What really made a reservation here amazing was that we were able to enter sky garden and then walk around after our meal! Lovely environment.

After two years, we returned to Darwin for breakfast, eager to relive the great experiences we once had at this restaurant. Having visited multiple times in the past, we expected the same quality and warmth—but unfortunately, this visit fell short. The food quality has noticeably declined. The avocado toast was disappointing; the avocado was spilling out from the center, suggesting the bread wasn’t toasted properly. As for the lattes, they tasted more like warm milk, and when we raised concerns, we were met with a vague explanation about a “different style of preparation.” Service was another letdown. The staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, making us feel more like an afterthought than valued customers. With the food, coffee, and service failing to meet expectations, the experience simply wasn’t worth the price. Sadly, what was once a favorite spot has lost its charm.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Darwin Brasserie in Sky Garden, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! The stunning panoramic views of London set the perfect backdrop for a special evening, but what truly made the night exceptional was the outstanding service provided by our server, Halim. Halim went above and beyond to make this birthday feel truly special. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure that every detail was perfect. He made us feel valued and well taken care of. His warm and professional approach added a personal touch to the entire experience. The food was absolutely delicious each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Overall, Darwin Brasserie exceeded all expectations, and I cannot recommend it enough, especially for a special occasion. If you're looking for breathtaking views, delicious food, and impeccable service, this is the place to be. A huge thank you to Halim and the entire team for making our evening so memorable! We had the pleasure of having breakfast at Darwin Brasserie after booking about a month in advance. The view is absolutely stunning, even though we visited on a foggy day. A great bonus is that access to the Sky Garden is included, making the experience even more special. The food was excellent—we got to try both sweet and savory dishes, and everything was delicious. I had mentioned in the booking that it was my mom’s birthday, and they surprised her with a mini brownie and a candle, which was a lovely touch! Prices are in line with London standards, but the atmosphere and experience make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place, beautiful service. The food was very tasty and nicely served, the waiter Papa was very kind, approachable and really all the praise. The only thing that could have been a little nicer that day was the weather, it was quite foggy so the view of the city could not be seen, but all in all great. A very nice surprise at the end was a plate congratulating us on our anniversary.

Came here with my partner yesterday, I received my food first and after waiting 10 mins I asked where my partners food was and the waitress came back saying it hadn’t been put through so they had to start over again, so 25 mins after I received mine we could start eating together. Food was not good either, really overpriced and the brunch option isn’t very “brunch” like. Fell for the tourist trap.

When I made the reservation, I didn't add 10 pounds to the designated window seat, but I still happened to sit by the window. I was very lucky. The food was delicious and the portion was sufficient. I even got a refill of coffee! The two of us ordered an egg benedict, a muffin, a cup of tea and a cup of coffee (coffee will pay for a small pot of milk). The total is about 45 pounds. The waiter is very friendly and the dining environment is very comfortable!

We paid £10 for a window seat, which gave brilliant views while we had breakfast. Good food and attentive service. It's not cheap, but that misses the point, as you go for the view and ambience. A classy spot and somewhere to treat yourself.

Service and atmosphere were AMAZING! Our waiter Ali gave us 5+ service. It was such a delightful and such personable experience with an exceptional view! The food could have been a little better. The Eggs Benedict were hard inside which we returned. The new set were much better but not runny as they should be. I would still go back as mentioned as the service was amazing and of course the location second to none. (But would avoid the eggs Benedict :P)

Less experienced English speakers should know that table water or sparkling water is served over and over again as soon as the glasses even begin to empty. The bottle is charged at 4.50 GBP 😁

The place is great, you clearly pay for the setting because the food is very basic. At €15 for a glass of wine and €30 for a tasteless burger, prepare your wallet 😂 we didn't really like what we ate, we were really disappointed given the price. We still enjoyed the setting and the view is truly exceptional. The service was still good but the restaurant is very noisy. I don't necessarily recommend, rather take your free ticket to access the Sky garden weeks before your stay

Big disappointment as we booked for a brunch and it was actually a menu for a lunch :-( The waitress was nice, but refused to let us have the breakfast menu (with is more a brunch), and served 4 pieces of bread whereas we were 5. She said the cheesecake was vanilla, it was lemon flavoured. Eventually we paid a lot for a disappointed lunch AND NOT BRUNCH AS WE BOOKED (more than 400 GBP, very hard to digest !). Overall, we had a positive experience at Darwin, and I would recommend this restaurant. We went for a weekend brunch (£50 per person for 2 course meal) and booked a window table for the view, which was fantastic. However, the floor around our table and the chairs were quite dirty. The service was generally good, but we had an issue with our burger order—it was so delayed that by the time it arrived, the rest of our party had already finished their mains. The apple juice was a disappointment, as it came straight from a carton despite costing £4.50. That said, the food exceeded our expectations. Both the beef tartare and salmon starter were excellent, and the roast chicken supreme was a standout. It was incredibly tender, perfectly roasted, and paired with an outstanding sauce—easily one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in London.

Gorgeous views even on a cloudy, rainy day. The service was friendly and professional. The food satisfyingly good. There is a good range of options on the prix fixe menu. We added some vegetable sides and fries.

I was thoroughly impressed! I was expecting incredible atmosphere and average food, but it exceeded expectations. We were there for my mothers birthday and the service was lovely - John, our server, made a fuss of her and ensured we were all looked after!

We were celebrating our Daughter’s graduation and the entire experience did not disappoint! The location and the view was the initial attraction and the quality of food and service took our experience to a whole new level. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Great place, the kitchen is not up to par with the place

The restaurant is beautifully located and the views are fantastic. The service was lovely and to my surprise, we got the window table. Lucky us. They also prepared a little surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday. It was a beautiful touch. I couldn't have asked for more. The food was good. Spices, mostly salt missing. Average portions. The prices were a little high but considering the place and environment I can't really complain. It was a beautiful experience overall and would be lovely to come back.

Food was delicious, you can’t go wrong with eggs for breakfast. Smoothie was also good. It was little pricey but you don’t pay entrance to the Sky garden so you can look at it like breakfast and entrance in the same price. Definitely something you should try! 🙂

You're really coming here for the view. The food is ok, but for the price there are a lot better places in London. The view is pretty good though! No chocolate (other than ice cream) on the dessert menu!

The place is very nice and the view is very attractive. We have been there during the evening and the scene is good. The food menu is really limited, the orders came a bit off then what we requested (asked to remove the anchovies, it was there and one of the ceaser salads didn’t have croutons). The wine menu is very good and the glass served version is also tasteful.

Had a wonderful lunch and server (Alin) last week. My husband and I paid the fee to reserve a window seat and even with the overcast dreary skies, it was worth it! And honestly, sometimes places like this…the experience is cool but the food disappoints…but this was not the case here. Everything was delicious!

We were running late for our reservation and they were very kind that they still held it for us as we raced across the unfamiliar streets of London. Because we had a reservation we were able to skip the line for the elevator to enter SkyGarden. My husband & I were sweating by the time we made into the restaurant & I'm sure we looked a bit odd, but that didn't impact their service of us. Very professional staff. Food was awesome & they were so kind to give us a little dessert to celebrate our honeymoon. We can't thank them enough for being so understanding. Afterwards, we hung out at SkyGarden & really enjoyed ourselves.

You pay for the view, which isn’t even that great. After paying the £30 charge on the window table for 3, we were stuffed in the corner behind the hostess stand (when there were other, better tables seemingly available). The service and food are subpar. Small portion sizes, lacking flavours. If you want to do the touristy things in London, don’t touch the food at Sky Garden. The location and the view from this restaurant is its main attraction. We came here for lunch and had a quite ok meal, but hardly worth the price. But we came for the experience so I do not regret coming. But you get a much better view outside in the SKY Garden.

Good roast, sticky toffee pudding was delicious and cocktails are tasty!

Very good breakfast, but nothing exceptional unlike Richard's excellent service which we thank very much. Recommended to see London from another perspective.

⭐ Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Taste (Rating 3.5/5): I got the lobster roll with chips and I was very disappointed with the lobster roll as it tasted quite bland, the chips were at least well seasoned which saved the dish. Experience (Rating 4.5/5): Overall experience is great since staff are very nice but at times it was hard to get a hold of the staff members since it was quite busy, but overall was a good experience. Got a great view/seat as well which is a bonus. Cost/Value (Rating 3.5/5): Price was way too expensive (understandably) since you're paying for the view rather than the food. If the dish I got tasted great, I would've put the cost/value rating much higher but unfortunately I didn't feel like the lobster roll was seasoned well enough to my liking.

Book well in advance and you won't regret it. Restaurant on the top of the sky garden, the location alone would be worth going there even just for a cocktail, if we add to this the impeccable service and the excellent food with vegetarian and vegan options I can only recommend it.

Sky Garden is a place that can be entered for free, but there is not always a free ticket. If you want to go here, I recommend you to come to Darwin Brasserie for breakfast. If you come before 9 am, it will be an enjoyable event. Breakfast taste is average. The price is normally a little higher.

Great views, obviously. Food was high quality but expensive £200 for two courses for two people + 1 glass of wine each). The "voluntary service fee" of 15% added to the bill is a bit cheeky. How many people feel comfortable asking for it to be removed.

Brilliant for a business lunch, location and food top notch.

The location of the restaurant is wonderful, the taste of the food is delicious, and the service is wonderful. The seating is comfortable. I recommend it, but I have a note that whenever I ask for a table next to the glass, they say it is reserved, and sometimes they say that there is an extra charge. This is annoying in the restaurant.

We had a magical experience at Darwin Brasserie! We were given an excellent table with a fab view over the Thames and the Tower Bridge, food was great, ambience perfect and service outstanding - overall we are very pleased, we will be back!

I’d like to especially commend and recommend Karina, the server, for her warm and attentive service. However, the food was disappointing—the burger was barely edible, the coffee deserves only two stars as it was over-roasted, and the environment was unclean, with even the windows left dirty.

The service was impeccable, thank you again for the attention provided, but then the food and its price… Despite the exceptional view, the prices are much too expensive compared to the quality of the dishes: overcooked, little balance in flavors, and a menu that goes in all directions. A bill at £170 for 2 which is not justified.

Here what matters is the view! Magnificent view of the London skyline. The cuisine is classic, nothing more. The price of a table with a view is £15 per person in addition to dishes.

We were recommended this restaurant as a great place to eat and to have an alternate view to London. Sadly, very disappointing. We were rushed through our meal, we were in and out in an hour, the staff were very gruff and not friendly. We paid for a window seat thinking we would have an amazing view, instead we were looking onto another viewing platform inside the building. To top it off we then had to queue to get out of the building. I would not even bother. The food wasn’t even that great either.

Hella expensive place, for a hella bad service. We booked a table for breakfast, but on arrival we were given the brunch menu. When asked about the breakfast menu, they said that we couldn't order from that menu anymore. The brunch menu was a 3 course menu, to which you HAD TO order the 3 courses, no other option. When we said that we didn't wanted that, because it was a lot a food and we had an appointment right after, they said that the cancellation fee was the menu price: 80 pounds per person. Nowhere during the booking process its clear that you have to spent a minimum on food, or that you are forced to eat that amount of food. We felt uncomfortable throughout the whole meal, besides having to eat running so we could go to our appointment. The manager is really rude and ignorante. The rest of the staff look completely miserable. Highly not recommended. Never coming back.

Absolutely apalled by the service we had this morning. Booked for 11am hoping for a nice breakfast only to be told they don't serve breakfast after 11. This is stated nowhere on the website so already feeling disappointed. Next, we are told that they only do a set menu for lunch which is 3 courses for £80 per person!! I asked the manager if we could just leave since we only really wanted breakfast, only to be rudely told that the company cancellation policy is to pay the full price of the menu. The only thing she could "offer" was that we could order just one set menu for the both of us, instead of paying for 2. So, we ordered a soup for starters, the roast sirloin for mains and a stick toffee pudding for dessert. My partner is dairy free so we made sure the staff were aware these were all non dairy choices. The soup arrived, it was fine but nothing really special. The main was the biggest disappointment. The neat was ok, a little fatty for my liking. They only served 3 roast potatoes. And to accommodate the dairy free option, they removed the Yorkshire pudding and the carrots (presumably roasted in butter?) with no offer of substitution or extra potatoes or anything like that. The servers were rude and made little effort to be polite and welcoming, the manager was on her phone the whole time we were eating and all the other staff were standing around chatting amongst themselves. Honestly it was difficult to get anyones attention. The fact that we paid £80 for this level of service and frankly food not even worth £20 is atrocious and I would not recommend this place to anyone. To top it all off they automatically add the service charge which is 12.5%. I can see from other reviewers this isn't an uncommon experience. I hope management see these and take note for improvements. I certainly will not be coming back, and I'll make sure to recommend my friends avoid this place too.
