We met for a family lunch to celebrate Mother's Day and were excellently served by Jay, who couldn't have been more helpful. The atmosphere and surroundings were delightful, and the food was good. We had a very enjoyable visit. Thank you, especially to Jay.

Popped in for bunch. Lovely looking pub/restaurant inside and out. Had the hunters chicken with crispy Mable bacon and chips. Other half had the chicken and leak pie,mash and veg. The hunters chicken was on point,which was tender and full of flavour. Like eating a bit of heaven and proper comfort food. I could of eaten another one it was that good. Chips were soft in the middle and crispy on the outside just how I like. The puff pastry on the pie was massive and cooked perfectly. The inside of the pie also creamy with not to much leak and chicken again tender. Veg and mash were not overly cook. Our server Cathy was very friendly and plesent. Nice work everyone. I will look forward to coming again.

Visited this establishment with my friend last Friday on his recommendation being a local. A lovely lady assisted us from the car as my friend has mobility issues, which was thoughtful of her. The best fish'n'chips I've ever had the pleasure of eating! The food is awesome here. Last time I opted for the Mac & Cheese... and that was equally delicious! Top marks to the chef!! Staff are welcoming, and it's a lovely place to spend a few hours with friends & family. Thank you. :)

Great ambience, nice pub. Staff were attentive. Vegetables were a bit al dente, but overall quality was 7/10. Nice touch with the apple pie inside the Yorkshire pudding.

I went there I ordered a steak medium-rear but for me was to cooked. Luckily I had another one cooked to perfection. Andrew has been amazing. Thank you

Just a last minute decision to pop in for food and drink. Lovely welcome and great eye contact on arrival. We wandered round looking at variety of pictures on the many walls, while waiting for food. Were encouraged to explore and explained by Tracey about different events that take place. Overall a comfortable visit , good service, nice atmosphere and very pleasant, helped by a knowledgeable staff member Tracey . Thanks Janey

I've been to the Poplar Farm several times for lunch and have always received a very warm welcome. Our food has been delicious and there are open fires burning in the winter making everywhere toasty and comfortable. Tracey was particularly helpful today when I left my handbag behind and kept it safe until I retrieved it!

What a delicious lunch! The Poplar Farm has a really cosy atmosphere, we had a late lunch and it was so good. Huge portion, lots of options and fantastic service. Jay was brilliant - the perfect level of engaging and interactive without being overbearing. Definitely coming back soon!

My order did not arrive. 2 hours from ordering just eat customer service would not get in contact with the courier delivering the order. The order never even left the restaurant.. I could not cancel it on my end despite it being ordered over 2 hours

Me and my husband went there during the week for a meal and it was lovely, the service was fab, so we booked to go back on Friday evening, we had a table of 7. We arrived the staff were all friendly and attentive, we ordered our food, one of the party had food allergies which the waitress kindly checked with the chef. Which we appreciated. Starters all were okay apart from the chicken that was cold, we asked for it to be warmed which the staff kindly did, when it returned it was a little tough. But the staff acknowledged this and took it off the bill, mains were tasty, one guest had to ask for theirs to be warmed as no cutlery to eat it with. Score is based in the multiple visits we have made so haven’t penalised for this particular visit. I believe there was an offer on for money off, which meant that it was extra busy, that being said there was from what I can see 3 front of house staff that meant that it was a busy evening. The staff served to the best of their ability. Perhaps if an offer is running, management could consider potential foot flow and plot the required volume of staff In.

Absolutely love dining here, the food is always cooked perfectly, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the pub is lovely and clean. It's quite a large restaurant so there's plenty of room between tables and you can chat privately. Being gluten free, dining out can often be a problem but not here, they go above and beyond to ensure i have a enjoyable meal with my husband (who isn't gluten free). We definitely recommend visiting the Poplar Farm Inn.

Lovely food well presented and fabulous quality. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Mentioned we had a dog and 6 people and they gave us the perfect table. So dog friendly it’s a wonderful place to go we sometimes consider going elsewhere but always end up back here as it never disappoints.

Served by Jess today, it was a pleasure, so pleasant and helpful, table of 9 ladies on a work Christmas party, she dealt with requests brilliantly. Where we ate was chilly. Good drinks, food overall good, pork belly x3 was not great, but Christmas is a busy in the kitchen to expect perfect food .

Have been to other Vintage restaurants and the service and food was much better than we got from the Poplar Farm yesterday. One of our party was in a wheel chair and they put somewhere out of the way . It seemed we were forgotten as we waited over an hour for our main course. I ordered a pink gin which they assured me it was but it wasn’t as you don’t put lemon and lime in a pink gin it should be raspberries. We will go to a Vintage restaurant again but not this one.

Came to Poplar Farm on Sunday 8th December. We were looked after extremely well from start to finish. The food was amazing, our server was Cathy, she was lovely, very knowledgeable about the menu, so polite and friendly, have been before and she was our server, I cant say enough about her, she is a lovely lady.

So, I've never been able to secure a table. As a consequence, I can't vouch for the food. However, what I can tell you is Tracey is awesome. The atmosphere is great and I keep coming back for a pint. Stay tuned for my review on the food in the New Year (Tracey just told me they have phenomenal Sunday roast with pork crackling).

Tracy was a great host and we had the biggest Xmas dinner this side of preparing and eating one yourself! Highly recommend!

Christmas dinner was wonderful! It was huge though. Everything was cooked well and we tucked in. Even better was that it is our first Christmas dinner for a few years as we’ve been in a hot country at Christmas time. The pub is cosy and warm and a special shout out to Tracey who was warm, welcoming and looked after us. Thank you!

Always feel very welcome here. Great quiz night once a month and the food is very tasty. Dogs are also well catered for and welcomed.

Tracey is pleasant and always provides the greatest service and we enjoy the quizz nights out.

Just had a really lovely lunch. Food, service and atmosphere were all spot on. Would definitely recommend.

So friends were over from Australia and we met up after a long time apart and chose the Popular Farm, it was ok but must of just caught them on a busy night unfortunately. The service was very slow, the food when it finally appeared was warm NOT hot. The prices against portion size were way over priced, the almost forcing tipping down your throat did not seem right if the staff want people to tip they need to make them feel special that's the point of going out for a meal. Won't be back to expensive for the level of service and quality of the food sorry.

Apparently it was asked of the waitress if we could have a our sweets before the table next to us (a party of eight ) as we had an appointment to keep..which turns out was VERY WRONG of my friend to do..the waitress was not shouted at... She was not sworen at by any member of the party of may I say pensioners ...but within minutes the so called MANGER was at our table informing us that the waitress was frightened to come back to our table and that we were very rude .....so we decided to forgo our desert and leave the premises ...£89 for four drinks & main courses it would have been more had we stayed....I would like to add the so called MANGER needs a lesson in etiquette when dealing with female customers as I do not appreciate being addressed as DARLING or the sarcastic enjoy your evening as we were leaving. I got the Trio meat dinner with no roasties and asked for spring onion mash literally got half a spoonful could've done with more also should be served with a steak knife , my daughter got meat-free roast as vegan option which was just veg maybe rephrase that as its misleading ( meat free roast is a thing check it out ) small portions and overpriced pre heated food

Very tasty roast dinner, some of the veg were a bit hard still and they were only luke warm. We did pass this on to the waitress. It would also be nice if when giving you the desert menu they actually told you what wasn't available

Went for a lovely meal for my husbands birthday. Great choice of food, pricier than previous visits, but reflective of the times. However, it was still great value for money. Staff were amazing, friendly, and efficient and definitely won't be our last visit!
