Great food and very friendly staff!!!

Just went to get some chips and they making jokes about my gf while they cooking her food out of order won't be coming back

Always good these guys and very friendly. I buy my lunch in regular bases and spot on each time

took quite a while to make the food but expected it to be good and it really was! Will definitely order again, and can understand why they get queues out the door!

Phoned in advance to order several lunchtime fish and chip specials. Really friendly service, ensured I had the right salt and vinegar combinations, marking up the wrappings for when I handed them over. Food was very tasty with several questions on where I'd got the fish and chips from. Lunchtime specials were just the right size for the adults. Parking outside is very easy. Revisited today (Nov '23) and excellent service and food once again. Thanks to the staff. Revisited again (Mar '24) still the same good level of service, thanks.

My brother in law has just moved to the area and we had fish/pie and chips . Really good and tasty. Not greasy/fatty . Would recommend.

I went there whilst working in the area, and I must say their lunchtime cod and chips were lovely!! Even went back for a second time lol

The family liked the food so worth giving this place a try. We had to wait for a while but its all cooked fresh so worth it. Would deffo go back.

Ordered one large cod and one regular...got home and found both regular (and small at that)...large chips were exceptionally large, had I known I would've bought a loaf and gad chip butties instead of the expensive fish. Disappointed.

This is without a doubt the best fish and chips shop in the area. The portions are fantastic and they do the very best spam fritters I've ever tasted. Service is always top notch and they have a really good variety on the menu. If you want Dirty old fashioned fish and chips with great portions and great flavour then this is the place to go.

Not sure how this place is highly rated the quality of food is terrible, the chips were re cooked and not very nice to eat at all, burger was basic burger van burger, chicken strips were dry and bland and the Mexican chicken rap was very bland too. With the way resturants and takeaways are now on food quality they really need to step their game up. Service was fine, very friendly. Only reason any stars are given. Can't say I would go back.

Been in a handful of time and each time it's quick service, food still hot when I get home and accommodating for children to eat from there as well.

Very quick and efficient service by friendly staff. Extremely large portions of chips and the fish had a very light and crispy batter.

The staff were friendly and experienced. They were able to work through large queues quickly. I would highly recommend.

Very disappointing second time running now asked for large chips been charged for large chips but when I get home I have a small portion which doesn’t feed the family I have to go out to the shops and buy more food

The chips were black when I got them home not impressed as it was meant to be our dinner and there were very few edible chips. I will not be buying from here again.

The chips and fish are good but the vegetarian options are poor. The worst part tho was my husband's Southern Fried Chicken that was very overcooked and almost inedible.

Good traditional fish & chips. Good portion size.

Good portions but no salt and vinegar on chips despite us asking for ‘plenty’ and curry ‘sauce’ was a horrible thin yellow liquid which was inedible. Not terribly friendly either.

Great quality with a whole range of food to choose from. The chips were delicious crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Fantastic customer service food came quickly and was piping hot.

This chip shop get very busy . 6 members of staff on doing orders on the phone as well as serving. But seem to be confusing each other as to who was doing what order. Took a long time to get food. Chips were over cooked. Not very hot and same with sauages and pies. 😦

Excellent. There has been a management change and the old grumpy git that used to own it is gone and so have his bad tempered staff! New people that own it are great! So is the food. Edited 30/06/19: just seen that they have retained the bad tempered female staff member that used to work there. That's really put me off going back again now. For that I have to remove a star and not return.

Chips were ok, but the Fish seemed over cooked and was quite dry. Maybe it had been hanging around, not sure. Needs to improve from this though to retain my custom....

My Mum treated us to Chunkys lunchtime cod and chips. What a lunchtime serving really tasty lovely white fish chips just too moreish. Amazing value. I didn’t want my yoghurt after such a feast, and all freshly cooked

Unwelcome atmosphere, if not known, as a result small portions, or told not available. Plus high prices, other staff were arrogant and rude under the pretences of trying to be professional.... Avoid, and the food tastes dirty. Lazy proprietor, and staff
