Worst Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Poached eggs were hard, muffin under toasted and the Hollandaise was over sweet and tasted like it had come out of a jar. It was a family brunch, granddaughter's birthday so I didn't make a fuss but told the girl when I paid Won't be going again. Tried it again as it was my granddaughter 's choice. Much better food this time though I didn't risk the eggs Benedict...

As we were eatting our meal a waitress walk past with her hands full, next minute she says oh shit, I understand that her food my have been slipping or something like that but she didn't need to swear. I work in a care home and may have issues from time to time but im not allowed to swear and don't. Other than that all was good.

We tried the Trentham lakes restaurant first but they were really busy so we came here instead. It was a really relaxed atmosphere, we were seated straight away. When I ordered my meal our lovely waitress Maria let me know there was no southern fried chicken - not a problem as I was going to ask for plain anyway. She went straight in to the kitchen to let them know the change to my order. Maria was lovely throughout our time. As it was getting quite late when we were paying up I was conscious that we were keeping her from leaving at the end of her shift but she put absolutely no pressure on us to hurry and insisted that we didnt rush.

Great food, great friendly service and a nice relaxed atmosphere (think we got lucky because we went later, was rather busy the last time we went). Felt very welcome and was nice to see the staff enjoying their work. Maria was very helpful and very friendly, a great host that made us want to come back again

Smoke house pork belly and corn was particularly good, surprised me pleasantly.

I think it's very overpriced, refill drinks £4.50 each, £20 for hunters chicken that was dried up and hard to cut through. It's supposedly free salad but at those prices it might not appear on the bill but your definitely paying for it. Needless to say we won't be visiting again.

Took ages for our food to arrive and when it did it was cold. Im sure if the food was hot it im sure it would have been very nice.

Went for breakfast today it smelt musty staff said they had a few flies due to a leak.There were hundreds as soon as we got our food we were attacked by them my grandson went to the toilet and they even flew out of the toilet when he lifted the lid up wouldn't want to be eating off the serve yourself part

Had the burger and was served by the beautiful Vicky....she has a great sense of humour and welcoming smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

Avoid like the plague! Where do I even start with today’s experience?… the food was cold , there was a bluebottle infestation and when this was raised with the manager she was almost argumentative and not very forthcoming in resolving the matter. We were offered a free dessert… no thank you. When the bluebottle situation was raised the manager said it was down to a leak… makes you question what kind of leak? Should they really be open when there’s dozens of flies landing on people’s food? On the plus side- waitress Hannah was lovely and did a smashing job- she’s too good for that establishment. We will not be returning any time soon after such a terrible experience .No wonder the place was empty! Someone should have warned us.

We called here for lunch before visiting a family member in Royal Stoke hospital. We use our local Harvesters quite a lot and The Poachers Cottage was on par with our local ones. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food what we have come to expect at Harvester. However, the one thing that let down this restaurant, in my opinion, was the toilets. They smelt like a care home! Must need a deep clean or something, it wasn’t a very pleasant experience!

This was somewhere we wanted to try as we pass the place regular, we didn't book and it was quiet. It didn't get off to a good start as we asked for 5 mns to decide on what we wanted and had to wait 20mins to be served, when we did order the scale of the food for the price didn't match nor was it quality The chargrilled Chicken was hard and seemed like it was cooked then warmed up, same with the BBQ chicken tough and bland, The Unlimited Salad bar was a joke, 6 small bowls of choice........ we didn't stay for desert... bit of a let down

Came in last sunday with my wife qns kids. (I got an email to do a review). The lady that served us was called Emma. She was very helpful and entertained the kids. I would reccomend going there. It was a little busy when we went but the service was still very good.

Food was very good! The new meal (I think) is a very good change. One of the better harvesters. Annie very pleasant and friendly.

I have no hesitation in recommending the poachers cottage service excellent as was the food staff we're efficient and polite this was our first visit and won't be the last thanks for making our visit a pleasurable experience.....

Came in about 1pm this afternoon, I was ordering drinks at the bar and a kind lady named Annie was working on the bar at that time, she showcased her vast knowledge of drinks and gave everyone suggestions on what to order, working in a restaurant myself I can say that this place has a diamond of a staff member, brilliant afternoon with a few mates with great service, superb!
