Stumbled across this beautiful pub overlooking Greenwich Park. Visited 11/04/24 and was greeted and made to feel welcome. Decor was lovely and the beer selection was excellent. Had a little accident with a spillage (wild phone case) and the staff reacted very professionally. Will definitely pop back here soon when next local, defiantly on my radar🫶

Great little place! The best thing about it is the way people come and go and just talk with eachother and have a good laugh, even if they never met before! The decor is nice and cozy, same as the fireplace and the comfortable sofa! I only wish we could have had some pub food there but they weren't serving that night.

Hidden away in a back street of Greenwich between the park and the Woolwich Road is this traditional pub. Unlike most pubs in Greenwich this is not one frequented by too many tourists and has more of a community and local feel. The walls are full of local history and there is a bit more interaction with the bar staff. A nice little place that seems popular but not overly loud. A pub with a warm feel to it. I had a pint for a very reasonable £5.20 so no complaints re prices either.

Without wishing to sound like an old git (though I am one), this is the way pubs should be. Friendly staff, good beer, a fire in the grate and a warm, welcoming atmosohere... in short, a proper pub. Went in for a beer on a winter Saturday afternoon and it was perfect.

Amazing establishment, the Plume of Feathers is a cosy pub just beside Greenwich Park that is well worth a visit, the staff and landlady are a pleasure to engage with, the atmosphere in the pub itself is wonderful, the food and drinks are top quality and there is a lovely garden to sit in, if you have ever been there im sure you would agree and if not then I suggest you give the Plume of Feathers a try. Enjoy xx

The pub is beautiful and cosy and the staff are very friendly. However I did order a chicken Caesar salad and I could only eat the croutons. The chicken itself felt microwaved and very watery, like when you defrost it too quickly and it has a weird aftertaste. My friend had a burger which was quite lovely. So I’m not sure what happened with the chicken. Maybe it was a one off thing!

Nice and quick service, prices ok, lovely independent pub inside. Food very disappointing - came for 4.6 rated sunday roast, personally found it subpar - sauces seemed store bought, underseasoned, potatoes and yorkshire puddings were cold and again not freshly made, meat was overdone as well.
Raphael Demmer . 2023-11-26

The beef sunday roast was absolutely disgusting. The beef was overcooked and inedible - tried a bite and it just tasted off. The roast potatoes were also undercooked and the seasonal vegetables were so bland that no amount of salt could redeem them. At £21.95, all I ate was a few pieces of cabbage (which tasted nice) and a store bought yorkshire pudding the size of a toddler's hand - this has got to be the most expensive Sunday roast I've ever had. To say that this meal was a disappointment is an understatement ans we left still feeling hungry after having spent £60+. Would certainly not go back nor recommend - there are far better Sunday roasts in the area!

Don’t go with children - the landlady will shout at you if they make the slightest bit of noise (they’re children !!) - even though you are spending £250 eating with 8 people in her pub - but it’s all about keeping the ‘locals’ happy who “pay £5 for their drinks and want to drink them in peace” - the same locals who drink but never eat there! Don’t open a pub opposite Greenwich parks play park if you don’t want children ever in your pub - you don’t deserve to be in business!

Lovely pub near a Northern entrance to Greenwich Park. Very traditional and cosy and friendly. However, we went at lunch time and only the full menu was on offer and not the lighter bar menu. I opted for a soup with bread. It was home made and vegetarian and came with sliced bread. It was not good. Then on the neighbouring table, customers asked for bar menu and were served nice looking sandwiches on nice looking bread. I was disappointed. My husbands beef stew had dumplings and they looked and tastes dry and crumbly, more like a scone. That was expensive and not fantastic though the meat was well cooked.

Meet an ex boss here on a fairly regular basis and I love the place! It's one of those rarities nowadays - a great, proper, old fashioned boozer that happens to serve fantastic food (have eaten there before, but not this time). Everyone behind the bar are warm and welcoming and it has the most enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. Nice staff and atmosphere but we were sat on a very small table (didn't know to request the restaurant seating to get a proper sized table). Beef roast: beef itself was good (from Dring's) but trimmings were not good so felt over priced. Fish and chips: fish was tasty but small and chips were greasy and soggy. Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream was nice but weren't warned it would be scolding hot! Disappointing as was hoping for a new place to go!

I’d tried to book a table online but didn’t get a confirmation email so we decided to chance it and just turned up. The lovely lady who runs the pub explained that you need to book 24 hours in advance. But she was so lovely that she seated us anyway. We had two beef roasts and the burger followed by a brownie, sundae and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was delicious - especially the brownie. Bloody delicious spot for fish n’ chips! The family and I dined here just last night and I simply had to share the experience. Although the Sunday Roast is a popular item served at the establishment, we ordered the classic fish n’ chips. It was brilliant! If you haven’t been, the restaurant features a candlelit atmosphere, providing gourmet dishes as well as traditional pub favourites with an exciting choice of English and Continental Cuisine. My darling wife Lisa enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere, which was adorned with original claygate fireplace, enhanced by maritime relics and historical paintings; this aesthetic provides a feeling of being in a country pub whilst being in one of the world busiest and greatest cities. Overall, the Marino family enjoyed the experience! We will most definitely be back… hungry for more! Cheers, Giovanni Marino, M.D.
