Visited with my hubbie and dad and had an enjoyable lunch. Nice interior and the food tasted very good. Staff friendly and service was fast. Would definitely go back.

We had read that people come to Rottingdean just for this pub and now we know why! All the food is cooked on the premises and to a very high standard. The welcome we got could not have been better whilst they ensured Covid safety too. Would highly recommend. We are going back !

Druid's Head

31/08/2020: Popped in for lunch and a pint on Bank Holiday weekend. Had to wait outside to be greeted and shown to a table which was fine. Service seemed slow and it was difficult to then get the attention of a member of staff to place an order. We sat outside and saw at least half a dozen couples turn away and go elsewhere because the staff were slow to seat them. The place wasn’t even that busy. We checked in using WiFi and were redirected to use the track and trace which was fine but could only view the menu via their app, not actually order. 2 pints of neck oil IPA and two haloumi burgers with fries total cost £38 which I thought was steep. Food was good and tasty but overpriced. Place has a nice atmosphere though overlooking the lanes.
23/08/2020: I booked my friend and I a table for lunch here whilst we were browsing the Lanes - perfect location. We were able to sit outside in the sun (bonus!) All tables and chairs were being regularly cleaned. All the staff were SO friendly and came out repeatedly to check our food etc was ok. Delicious food, excellent service we would definitely go back again! Highly recommend

The Royal Sovereign

10/07/2020: We were staying in Brighton for a couple of days and wanted to find a decent pub and some food, well this didn't disappoint!Cracking selection of beers, including 4 craft beers on draft, two of which were beaverton! We decided to have dinner here to as the lads were so welcoming and it had a great atmosphere. The menu is Thai food, good price and tastd wonderful, the jungle curry was awesome!
09/07/2020: One of our first post-lockdown drinks and glad it's open again... The Royal Sovereign, on vibrant Preston Street, has got a great atmosphere, lovely staff and a fine range of wines and beers. There are many (many) excellent pubs in Brighton - aren't we lucky - but make sure to put a visit to this one on your list.
