Great pub, smart and relaxing indoors with a bright airy garden. Traditional menu done very well. Tables clean and food excellent. Reasonably priced and very good value for money. We had the fish and camembert.

A cold welcome and unfriendly staff. Given that this pub hosts bike nights, I did not expect that when six of us arrived of motorbikes, we would be greeted with an eye roll! No, I am not exegerating. One of the female staff literally rolled her eyes and said to her colleague "Great! A group of Bikers are here" in not the most pleasant tone. Might I add we all rode in respectfully on very quiet bikes and sat outside on the furthest table from any other group... of which there was only one. Given that the pub was dead on a Monday evening you'd think they would appreciate the party of six arriving. Clearly we were a disruption to the staffs easy quiet shift and gladly took or business elsewhere for the evening. If it hadn't of been so insanely hot we would not have even stayed for the one.

Very basic pub, not as comfortable as the Half Moon at the other end of the lane. Not particularly friendly. We did not eat and no one was eating around 7pm to 9pm, so no idea about their food. There is a beer garden, so good place to bring a family. EDIT: Their response says it all!

First time visit to The Plough. Booked and sat outside on a scorching day. Under the usual covid rules for the moment. Basically everything was excellent. Four people all enjoyed it. The food was really good. The mussels were exactly right. The staff were really good although a bit stretched because it's a very big garden and so any wait was to be expected under the circumstances. We had a dog with us and that was all fine. I'll definitely be going back. I'm surprised it's took us so long to try the place. The menu has a section for children. The prices are just about the same as anywhere.
