Gary the Shift Manager, Front of House Staff Members, Megan, Daryll, Emily, Kumar and Luke and Chefs Emma and Chris are all a credit to your Restaurant and all deserve a Gold Star for their splendid, Marvellous , attentive, Superb and Magnificent services rendered to my 11 years old son, Peter and I on every single visit to the Plough. All of them go that "Extra Mile" and go out of their way to make you feel so special and a regular by giving us a warm and cordial welcome each time we are lucky to visit this restaurant. Gary has managed to forge a formidable team at this restaurant ( thanks to his very charismatic, respectful and temperate approach to his team members) and trained his whole team to be extremely efficient, proficient, amicable, friendly, knowledgeable, amiable and thoroughly approachable. Gary and his team are extremely keen to do anything to ensure that a thoroughly good time was had by all Diners and all Diners leave the restaurant with very fond, lasting memories - nothing is too much trouble for Gary and his Team. Could a senior Member of the Management Team give them all a pat on the back for rendering such superb and splendid customer service, second to none and for upholding the virtuous and commendable reputation that Harvesters Restaurants hold in the Hospitality Industry. Gary's team is commendable , hard-working, friendly, helpful, industrious and in my humble view second to none! Well done to Gary and all his magnificent Team members for a job very well done and I sincerely hope a senior Member of the Head Office Management Team recognises your hard work and efforts and personally comes to the Restaurant to give you all a well deserved commendation and a pat on the back for job well done! Distinctly average for the pricing. I've been to far better independent restaurants that offer much higher quality food and cheaper.

Food is good Service is appalling Atmosphere is okay

Newly refurbished but same terrible food offering that was the final nail in the coffin. I have been a regular harvester diner for many a year...growing up wanting a harvester for every birthday and looking forward to the next. But these menus are simply uninspiring and plated terribly. The cranberry tart with a little jacket potato and browning side salad pot. No butter or topping for the potato..very dry and size of tart was so small.. garlic bread inedible. Nachos slightly better..salad cart always good. Dessert was same and nice. Prices have gone up so much it's value for money is no longer. Once a bustling venue and place to go...fewer staff and atmosphere felt like it had been drained. 4 people got turned away as apparently fully booked. Yet there were loads of vacant tables during our meal. They saved themselves at least. Breakfast theu stopped the build your own and become stingy there too. All.in all I dont think I'll be back there unless it's the only restaurant left in the area

Was okay food but not fantastic.....had a breakfast. Think it is expensive overall. Hugely understaffed. The poor lady was all over the place doing everything!!!

Came to the Harvester and received amazing service by a waitress named Emily. She made the evening 10x better. Food was hot and fresh! We’ll definitely be back !

We ended up here for my birthday and what a wonderful evening we had. We were served by a server named Emily S and she made the experience so much more amazing! Without her going the extra mile, with my balloons & my birthday cake, even having a laugh with me and my family, it wouldn’t have been the same! Massive thank you to her!! Thank you xo

We really enjoyed the Ultimate Mixed Grill. Quite a big portion and we could try so many different types of meat. The chicken & bacon waffle was also really nice. The salad bar also had quite a good variety of options.

Our food was cold when it came to out table the service was awful would not go back

For some reason, they don't serve Rump steak in the evening. Only during the day, ridiculas, it's the only steak I like, so I won't be going to a Harvester anymore. Shame really Inhave been gping to them for mote than 30yrs

We did attend just after 5pm on a Sunday. It didn't feel busy. We ordered, and it took nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive. I understand you have a buffet salad but when you order you don't expect to wait for 45 minutes. My son ordered the kids steak. It literally was so stringy, for his first steak he was not impressed. In a way that was good as I don't want him to expect steak everywhere we go 😂 The pork belly and sides was gorgeous. Thank you, just unfortunately the service is very very slow. We asked for the bill, and waited 20 minutes. We could have walked out. But the poor server I'm sure would have had to forfeit.

Nice place to go for breakfast, pleasant interior and calm, reasonably priced and friendly staff

Enjoyed a nice family meal with a visiting relative. Food and drinks were great. I believe the inside has been recently renovated and it looks very modern and yet still homely and comfortable. I have always been a fan of harvesters and I recommend a visit to this one.

Had the best time at Harvester Sutton! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like regulars. Hayley, our server, deserves a gold star (and maybe a raise?) for the way she celebrated birthdays and anniversaries like she was part of the family. Seriously, I half-expected her to break out baby photos! The food was delicious, but the real treat was the warm, friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re craving a good meal or just need a bit of extra love on your special day, this is the place to be!

Must say the best meal I’ve had the stake was done beautiful just as I asked and the waitress was lovely too compliments too all staff ☺️

Had a lovely meal today at the Harvester in Sutton, Surrey. Couldn’t fault it. The service provided by Jacky our waitress was also excellent. She made sure we were happy with everything and made our experience today even better. Looking forward to returning again in the near future.

Haley was amazing to us for my mums birthday really good customer service and made our visit that much better.

My reflections on the food is not based on the quality of the food supplied by the chef but based on the new breakfast menu rolled out by Harvester. While I was there today I observed 2 groups look at the new menu and walk out. Please bring back the old breakfast menu. Also with this new menu rollout you cannot swap out items, instead you have to pay extra for items you wish to swap in. That is a money grab, and what about those who need to swap something out because of allergies? I feel sorry for the staff here as they are all great without exception, but they are the ones who have to listen to the customers rant about the new menu and how bad it is. The food you get is good quality but the menu change is very bad.

Today, we had a really lovely lunch. The waitress Emily was very happy and helpful. The food seemed extra fresh, and we were very impressed with the new chicken flatbread, and the chips were extra yummie........well done to the kitchen chefs Emma and Anthony.

We enjoy going to the harvester. Family friendly restaurant with nice staff and reasonable prices. I would have rated 5 star but every time I have been there has been something (such as - one meal that came out a lot later then the rest of the party or ordering ice cream and waiting over 20mins for staff to then share that the ice cream machine is broken) these have not put me off as we will be going back again. I have not tried the take away or delivery. Also The rocky road ice creams are smaller than they used to be!

Very good service, delicious food good value for money.

Food and atmosphere lovely as usual however we were sat right under the speaker and it was a little loud for us otherwise a lovely time, but the service from Emily is amazing, she is a credit to your team! Emily is amazing with my 3 year old son and always goes above and beyond to accommodate my sons needs and always takes a moment to say hello! Very pleased when we turn up and see Emily is our server as we know we will be well and truly looked after!

I went to the harvester at the plough Sutton on Monday 09/09/2024 was quality service and food went there today poor service and my main meal was cold I told waitress to take my meal away to re do same plate as my knife and folk was still on the plate returned to me still cold and chicken was hard to cut rate my plate as a zero not waitress fault so went home hungry

We have been here loads of times, and we have never been disappointed, good food, nice selection of dishes and of course the salad bar. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere (most of the time), it can get very busy at peak times, so probably advisable to book.

Visited recently on a Sunday lunchtime with the wife and there was maybe 4 tables of people? Waited 10? Minutes to be seated, 5 of which nobody even came to speak to us as we waited/let us know they'd be with us. We nearly turned around and just left. Waited 30 minutes for any food to come out (it did all come at once, including starters), but didn't eat the halloumi bites as they were way overcooked. The ribs and calamari were however great, with the salad being nice and fresh too. When we were done, we sat for 10 minutes witn empty plates before flagging someone down and asking if anyone can come to the table as we were being ignored. They disappeared for 10 minutes before another person came over. We explained the halloumi was overdone, so not eaten (as nobody came to ask us how our food was at all during the meal), then was told to wait whilst they spoke to the manager. We also asked for the bill too. A further 10 minutes later, the revised bill came out and we promptly paid and left. We had seen from other customers and experience if you let the staff get away, they vanish for 10 minute blocks. Lovely food overall, marred by just bad service. We thought they might be busy, but when there were maybe only 15 other people in the restaurant, we soon realised something else must be going on. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

So much has changed and for the better, the food was great and the service was really good. Lots of updating of the interior, looks lovely, was very comfortable. Well done Harvester, i will be coming back.

The food was excellent. There was a lovely waitress called Nessa and a young waiter who were very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Great food and service. Went on a Sunday and had great service for the afternoon. Dog friendly and everyone was so helpful Wheelchair access was good with ramps into the pub at the rear and also a lovely beer garden.

Are chips were cold but really good

The restaurant offers limited food options, and its prices are higher than other establishments. Additionally, the salad bar has fewer choices than before.

Went with my mum and family for a meal and had the best meal of my life, got my classic kids meal with a rocky horror and started dancing while eating. The flavour is excellent and a staff member named Jade was so polite. Thank your for being so positive and having lovely food.

Went for a late lunch with my family on the 9th of August 2024 at the plough sutton common road which has had a make over and is looking beautiful! Our server Jade was a breath of fresh air, friendly,attentive always had a smile on her face and nothing was too much considering we had a couple of fussy children with us! Food was excellent well cooked and beautifully presented.would highly recommend this branch of harvesters you won't be disappointed!

Really disappointed with our visit at this harvester. Had booked a table and arrived on time, not 1 member of staff acknowledged us until we approached them. Salad bar was pretty much empty and drinks took ages to come. Won’t be going back

Went for a leisurely lunch and was served by Ness and Sophie. Nothing too much trouble for them. Very helpful. Food was luvly great value lunch menu. The restaurant has been decorated since our last visit and looks great. We will be back!

Lovely staff, we arrived with a 3 week old baby in a pram and they were very welcoming and made sure we had a table with plenty of space for the Pram. My wife also has a garlic allergy and they checked what she could have and were very thorough and didn’t make it feel an inconvenience. The food was great, fresh, wholesome, tasty and filling. Highly recommend!!

Just returned from Harvester Plough Sutton. Can't comment on food because we didn't get served despite waiting 20mins for service. 1pm on a Monday afternoon, only about 7 tables occupied, of whom 5 were waiting to order. Some of them even longer than us. Server and greeter walked past many times but did not acknowledge us or the obvious collective glares of 20+ people waiting to order. The couple next to us moved to the bar to sit and order there so that their physical presence couldn't be missed. Our party (with 2 young kids) didn't have that option. We left hungry and frustrated. Total indifference from all staff. I dread to think how they'd cope if it was a Friday evening and more than a handful turned up.

Went to the harvester for my Neice birthday. On arrival the table wasn’t ready so we waited in the bar area and got a drink. The table was ready the waiter came over and took our food order and then gave us our bowls for the salad cart we went and got our salad which was awful not much of a selection and most of them were empty. We returned to the table no cutlery we had to go and get it ourselves. Took along time for our food to arrive which was very disappointing as some of the food was missing. Food disappointing ribs were undercooked chicken skewers were not nice chicken was dry peppers just tasted burnt. When the meals were bought out they had a knife we had to ask for a fork. This was for my nieces 18th birthday who also was asked for ID at the table for her alcohol drink which we wasn’t asked for before.

My family & I had the pleasure of having the lovely Emily as our server this evening. Emily was warm and welcoming upon our arrival and went over and above any other service we have previously experienced at a Harvester restaurant. Emily was attentive and friendly throughout our visit and made a great effort to interact with the little ones. Service was quick and the food was fresh & of good standard. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The restaurant was clean & salad bar well stocked. Overall, a very good experience & Emily is a credit to this restaurant/team. Thank you ☺️

Firstly, as a disabled man I appreciate that everything is accessible on wheels so top marks there. My wife and I love the food here. There is a good range on offer and everything we have tried has been cooked perfectly and very tasty. The staff here are very friendly and that is always a big plus in my book.

The food is amazing, and the portions are more than you'll need 🤤 The staff are really accommodating and friendly too. Was date night with me and my girl, and they really made our evening!

Service was very slow. Always seem to be understaffed. We booked for lunch. On arrival waited several minutes for someone to come, to show us to our table. Then another 10-15 minute wait for someone to come and take the drinks order. The drinks took ages to come, approx 20 minutes. So on a hot summer's afternoon, it's over half an hour after arriving before we get drinks. Food delivery also a little slow, but was fine once it arrived. After finishing the food, we ordered a couple of coffees, which they forgot to process, so we had to reorder, and obviously came much later than wanted. When the bill came, the ink or ribbon in their printer was worn or low, so there were strips of the bill missing the printing, making it very difficult to read what listed items were, and if it was correct. It clearly wasn't, there were obvious errors and overcharges. It was pretty quiet at this visit, so no excuse for such slow service and to be so understaffed. It was the same at previous visit when it was much busier. Lunch took nearly an hour longer than it should have, due to the slow service.

Very positive experience with friends, good food, friendly staff, clean table, everything was perfect. Waiting time was longer than normal when I visit, looked like shortage of staff
