Pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Service, in particular Jovana, was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming & extremely helpful and attentive. Loos were spotless.

It's nice, but it's £7.90 a pint (okay, I stand corrected, it's £7.55) -- and the pub is just lovely, really great atmosphere and very nice staff too. It is worth pointing out that Wetherspoon's ale down the road 5 minutes at the Asparagus starts at £1.70... but (as the very cool staff reminded me when I mentioned ) you do have to sit in a Wetherspoon to get that price. I think the issue is that Wetherspoon is x4 times cheaper, but not necessarily x4 as bad. Or even, is the very nice Plough x4 times better than a Wetherspoon?

Had the roast pork, described as coming with crackling which was none existant. Potatoes were undercooked aswell. Mentioned to waiting staff who said they would give feedback to the kitchen.

£17 for a cheeseburger and chips, and another £7.50 for a pint of beer causes sticker shock! That said, the place has a very nice atmosphere, the tables were very clean and the food was tasty, great quality and a decent portion. The barman Alfie have a really nice greeting and even recommended me a beer that I preferred to my usual. Bathrooms were also above average. Overall, I'd come again, but only on payday. Stylish interior and welcoming staff. However a pub should serve at least 1 real ale to be worthy of the name and sadly the Plough does not.

Went to The Plough for my mums birthday 10/10 Service Food was great!

We were given the small room off to the side of the pub which was perfect bar the speaker being a bit too loud in the room which made it a bit difficult to hear each other whilst chatting. Otherwise it was a great spot!

Girls' night out and our regular place has closed its doors, so we took a chance on The Plough and were not disappointed. We can't fault it....the service was excellent, with a great atmosphere and delicious food. This will now be our new regular place.

Matt leads a faultless team. their attention to detail is second to none, able to support with water bowl for the dog, top up when you are empty and remembered my order! Popped in for a coffee and it was a treat! nice range of non alcoholic beer and safe to say I'll be back!

Matt and the team are wonderful! Great hospitality every time we’re in there. Coffee is good, PFC burger is always good. And Guinness well poured. Make sure you stop in!

Brilliant pub, the nicest staff of any pub in the area. General manager is a true legend. I often come in to work during the day, great coffee and lunch, then stay for drinks after. Warm, welcoming, a true gem.

Some mates and I came down to The Plough recently, it was my first time there but I will definitely be coming back! The food is great and staff are lovely, especially our server Mia, nothing was too much to ask, super friendly and bubbly. Would 100% recommend :)

We went to the Plough on Christmas Day. After some bad experience eating out elsewhere on previous Christmas Days our expectations were pretty low, but this place was great. All of the staff seemed happy to be there and they provided a great service, very fun to be around. Our pre ordered food arrived very promptly, lovely presentation, tasted great. Really couldn’t ask for much more! Thank you :)

This was unexpectedly one of the best bars in SW London due to very friendly service (the red-head bar tender is a gem), cleanliness and nice atmosphere, especially the lighting and decor. Would definitely go back!

Had a very poor experience for my works christmas party. Food was poor quality and the service not much better. Courses were served miles apart and staggered. Forgot to serve desert - would still be waiting until next Christmas for this.

Nice lovely pub but the chicken roast I had today was very disappointing. The chicken was over cooked, shrivelled and very dry. The cauliflower cheese also very bland sadly. Quiz there is always great fun on Sundays though. Just to add, I sent an email regarding this and no one has gotten back to me.

One of my favourite pubs in Clapham- unfortunately our last visit was a bit of a car crash - we had reserved a table and upon arriving the table had used crockery on it, which we had to clear ourselves and then track down someone to clean the table, which took a while The menu is fairly limited with around 6 or 7 mains, and when we went to place our order both the dishes we wanted to order were “out of stock” leaving burger or cauliflower as options. So we gave up and left! Hopefully this was a one off!

Our running club booked a large table for a group of us to celebrate after an afternoon of running. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was prompt and attentive. A good selection of nice beer and all in our group who ate were happy.

Nice, modern pub a few minutes from Clapham Junction. Have been past before but never been in until yesterday afternoon. My loss! Lovely looking food (didn't eat myself), good beers and super friendly staff.

Honestly awful. Barely any staff on a full Sunday lunch service- the food was so so bland. How you can call it ‘the ultimate roast’ 1 no seasoning, no flavour, and not cheap! Staff that were on service were extremely friendly, couldn’t fault them personally there was just not nearly enough staff to go around.

Have been to The plough several times for their Sunday roast which were always amazing . Brought my friend as it was her birthday and we were so disappointed. Food was cold, my chicken was bloody, roast potatoes were not even roasted and just looked boiled The carrots were so raw we couldn’t eat them. We did complain and we were brought some hot potatoes on a plate but they were also hardly roasted We felt very hungry when we left I paid over £100 for a meal we did not eat, so so disappointed

We arrived and were handed a very extensive menu only to be told that there were only two items available - burgers! We waited over 40 minutes to be served extremely average food with inedible chips they were so greasy! There was no apology and quite frankly it felt like too much trouble! Never again!

We visit the plough regularly for drinks and food but our experience today was dreadful. The waiting staff Marta & Mia were lovely and very helpful but when our food came out cold we had to send it back and amazingly when it was returned it was colder than the first time. We had to explain again that it was worse and all the waiting staff could do was apologise and take the food off our bill as it was inedible. Apparently the kitchen staff are too young, inexperienced and sensitive to take simple criticism that the food they serve needs to be warm or hot so the serving staff were powerless to rectify the situation. Such a sad situation for a usually lovely venue.

Sorry customer service was so poor we left. It was my friends birthday and she said she wanted to leave because she felt so unwelcome. Nobody bothered to engage with us and we literally felt like we didn't exist. The guy at the bar did not even say bye as we were leaving...had a face of I couldn't care less...oh well their loss. Hated the experience and will not be coming here again.

Great pub for those days when the weather starts to turn. Not as rammed as the ones on Northcote road or tucked away as much as others. Also it's a Young's pub so all in all a safe bet.

Really nice atmosphere and pleasant bar staff. The food was decent enough, but 3 out of 4 things we originally wanted weren't available so that was a shame. The salt beef slider was a bit tough but otherwise the food was nice.

An amazing Sunday roast to share.

The external appearance of this great pub certainly doesn’t do the inside justice. It’s spacious inside, tastefully rustic with comfortable seating and a huge selection of draught beers. All three of us ordered differing burgers which were absolutely delicious. The jewel in this crown however, was the young lady who served us. ‘Jovana’ was hugely charismatic and humorous in addition to being informative and relentlessly efficient. We noted she had a ‘Carpal tunnel’ injury sustained at work but she bravely ignored her discomfort and delivered us 5* service comparable to any top London hotel - Thank u ‘Jojo’ you have a bright future ahead of you and we will return in the hope you’re there to look after us once more.

I really want to like the plough, as its a nice venue and when we've had food there it's been nice. However, when there is a large group there or some event, it seems the place can't cope with serving food. We ordered and waited an hour just to then have to go and ask about the food to be told it could be another hour. Seemed like just one chef in the kitchen and couldn't cope as there was a group of 10-20 being served. The bad part of this is that nobody warned us of this issue before ordering and nobody came to inform us there'd be a wait, so we wasted an hour. Same for at least 3/4 other tables who got up to leave early. We've had a similar experience of poor communication previously and not worth us going back any more after a few bad experiences.

New (since I last visited) menu lacking vegetarian mains. One run of the mill plant burger or a Caesar salad. Should you be vegan, look everywhere.

Been a few times and definitely a great pub if you're passing by with decent food. The Sunday roast was a solid 7.5/10 too.

Excellent pub close to Clapham Junction, very friendly staff and great food. Recommended.

This was the very beginning of our month long trip! As we arrived at Clapham Junction, it was about 12:30 and we were starving! We entered the restaurant, and the young man behind the bar nodded. I guess that means, help ourselves! No one came to the table, so my husband went up to grab some menus - This must be an English thing–no table service. We waved him over to take our order. I had the Green Shakshuka (Eggs baked in courgette, spinach, leeks, onion, garlic) which came with a large piece of sourdough. Husband ordered Smashed Avocado on lightly toasted sourdough, with two poached eggs on top. We also order two beers on draft, but I can't remember which ones we got. Food wasn't bad! Shakshuka came out piping hot, which was lovely, and the Avo toast had FRESH avocado on top. While my egg was cooked a little more towards the done side, the sauce from the courgette and veggies was still great to scoop up with the bread–So I was happy. All in all, was a great stop, staff was pleasant, windows perfect for people watching, and seats were comfy.

Quiet Sunday evening so not much atmosphere but food was good.

I went here with some friends and the service was extremely good. The food was served quickly and wasn't cold and was presented very well. Everything was well cooked and we all finished our meals with no issues. We also had a few rounds of cocktails and they were the best cocktails we had tasted in a while. I've already recommended the place to my friends and plan to be back to visit soon!

Went here with my family for a meal and can honestly say was the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, my Waitress was Maci and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was to a great standard, the atmosphere was wonderful. Definitely will be coming back again!!

Lovely place and atmosphere, went on fathers day and not too busy. Great decor, lovely service app option available and no fee to make a table booking. The roast was GORGEOUS, a good amount of gravy which is essential and would be interested in trying the sharing platter. Decent prices for central London.

You have to try smashed avocado!

This is the perfect bar! Absolutely amazing food, cocktails are delicious and the staff are so friendly! Especially our waiter Alfie, he was such a comedic joy to be served by :) Would definitely recommend their MASSIVE brunch sandwiches!!

Nice place to chill out. But they have changed their menu and I dnt like their new menu.

I used to consider this place as my local pub and was very happy with the service (see my review in 2017). I recently went with a friend and we had to wait 1 hour and 30min for lunch as nothing was ready. The pub was empty and the staff very young and unexperienced: they absolutely didn't have a clue. There was a limited selection of food and the quality was average. Basically, we waited 90min for snacks (no mains or complicated dishes). Nobody seemed to care, a part from the poor young waitress who kept saying: "sorry, I'm only 20 years old". We felt sorry for her, the problem was the non-existent management. Such a shame as the atmosphere is lovely, but if this is the standard of service, we will not go back again.

Nice setting only a couple of minutes from the top taxi exit of Clapham Junction. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food fine just average.

Can't say enough good things about our experience at The Plough but here's a few... All the staff made us feel so welcome for our football team social and couldn't do enough for us. Great selection of interesting beers, quick service and very attentive, always checking back to see if we needed anything. And the food itself was incredible. Probably the best burger of my life. Thick, juicy and with epic caramelisation. The roast beef looked fab too. The chips were perfect too. Overall so happy we chose you guys and thanks for making it such a fab experience- front of house and kitchen. Cheers! X

I enjoyed my visit to the Plough. I had a chickpea salad which was tasty and filling plus a drink. I visited on a Tuesday and it was fine to get a table and easy to order and food arrived in a reasonable time. The man behind the bar was very friendly too. My only negative was that there was a barking dog in the pub. I’m fine with dogs inside but not if they keep barking. I would have enjoyed the visit more if the barking dog (and owner) was asked to go outside.

My group stopped by The Plough after a day of adventuring in London on the way back to our AirBnB. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. My fiancé and I ordered the Pulled Pork Flatbread Nachos to share. As an American, we were expecting tortilla chips and the fixings for nachos, but what was presented to us was different but oh so tasty. The chicken skewers were phenomenal—so tender and delicious. Using the bread slices, you could make your own “nacho” with the assortment of toppings provided including the chicken, pulled pork, guacamole, and pico de gallo. This shareable could fill more than two people for sure. We also ordered some chips. The chips were AMAZING. Light, pillowy, crispy, and fresh out of the fryer. It was like I was floating on a potato cloud with every bite.

Been here a couple times and the ginger haired female bar staff (I always forget her name) never fails to impressed me with her customer service. She’s polite and also down for a laugh. I enjoy the atmosphere and vibes of the venue. You need to try this place!

Great atmosphere, very nice staff, normal sized portions of average pub food. Slightly overpriced. I was pleased that there are several vegan and vegetarian options.
