The plough in South Oxfordshire

Gode senger, bra størrelse på rom, veldig god frokost nok til å bli god og mett, hyggelig betjening, ligger landlig fint.

We verbleven hier met twee volwassenen en 1 kind in een aangename en ruime familiekamer. Het tv-scherm was werkelijk enorm! 's Ochtends uitgebreid ontbijt en ruime keuze vers fruit en ontbijtgranen. Dichtbij Oxford, in een pittoresk klein dorpje.

I cant believe the other reviews. When arrived there was a overflowing skip just as you drive into the carpark. The building needs a good lick of paint. The lovely flower pots in the pictures are now just full of weeds. The yard area need a good sweep out. The room was like in a outhouse/shed.. The heating did not work. after huffy and puffing the owner got it going only for it to take ages to heat up and then it swtiched itself off. The room was dusty. The electric not to clever extension cables throughout. The bathroom is dated and not the cleanest. The tap dripped. The towels where paper thin. Didn't risk putting my clothes in any of the furniture kept it in my case. The sheets seemed clean. When i was shown to my room I should have said straight away that wasn't staying and demanded my money back. Please please avoid this place it is terrible!!!!!

This is now a bed and breakfast establishment only. All the rooms are ensuite with large televisions and free wi-fi. Breakfast is served in the bar.

Great atmosphere and great food. Kids menu is same as adults but half size/price Clean Outdoor play area for kids

From the minute we arrived the owner was friendly, helpful & couldn't do enough for us! The room was spotless & very large - as was the bathroom. Although the B&B is situated on a busy road, our room was very quiet. When we asked the owner for some ice for evening drinks, he insisted on supplying us with beautiful glasses too! The main building is charming & breakfast was great! Great value for money. What a gem of a place! Thanks John!

we booked for a couple of nights stay expecting it to have restaurant facilities but when we got there we had been told the restaurant had been closed for a while. the rooms themselves where in need of a little tlc but very clean and the owner was most welcoming. breakfast is cooked to order even though they ask you to fill in a breakfast request the night before. on the whole a good place to stay if wanting to visit oxford.

We took the family to the Plough for Sunday lunch. We had been earlier in the summer and sat outside with our dog and had a lovely meal. And again we were not disappointed from friendly helpful staff to good food served quickly at a good price. The childrens' portions were the perfect size and my usually fussy small people consumed everything. The bread and butter pudding was great, and two happy children devoured their chocolate brownies. Looking forward to another visit

We came here on Fathers Day - myself, my wife and my 85 year old auntie and had a splendid three course dinner from their special menu. I was given a free bottle of beer as a Fathers Day gift - obviously they thought I was the father of the 85 year old! It was a lovely gesture though. We would recommend this establishment on the basis of our visit.

We stayed at this location for the BH weekend in Aug. The hospitality was excellent and the breakfast were wonderful. The rooms are quirky but some parts are 400yrs old! We had everything we needed for a nice comfortable weekend break and would certainly stay again.
