We called yesterday for Sunday Lunch, it was nice apart from cold broccoli, it tasted like it had just been sat in cold water and not cooked. I advised the waitress and to be fair she did offer to bring more broccoli. Not sure we would return.

We re-visited the Plough after about 5 years. The last time it seemed to be expensive but after lockdown & expecting it be the same the prices are very reasonable. The food we selected from the Chef Specials menu was Amazing. Spring Roll & Garlic Cheese mushrooms for two starters followed by a double cheese burger with bacon which was so filling!. My wife had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger, which she said was cooked to perfection. Then for sweet I had home-made Lemon cheescake which was one of the best I've ever tasted. I The staff were very friendly & helpfull. t won't be another five years before we visit again. It's always a good sign when we left the place that the tables were filling up. We arrived at around 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. It's worth a drive to & can easily be found off the M6 at juction 31a. We visited again on Saturday 13th July. Once again the food was amazing at a great price. The specials on the day were Mexican so I went for the beef burger. That was topped with pulled pork. #Incredible.

Toilets were clean -but the walls in the bar need a repaint badly -food was good -mussels we're different in that the sauce was a mild curry taste not the usual white wine ,shallot ,cream. Steak and ale pie was lovely, too. Shame bar staff don't know a pint of bitter shandy from a pint of bitter !!! July 2924 update -staff aren't great - brought food - we had no cutlery-had to rob off another table - tgen asked if we wanted any extra sauces with the food ?yes plz -some ketchup plz -promptly went serving behind the bar before returning 10 mins later with the ketchup !! Ordered a glass of tap water with the main drinks order ?had to ask for that again ! Food was OK-over cooked fish and chips?so eobg be bothering again ! Wouldn't mind if it was busy ?but it wasn't!!

First the good, the wine was quite palatable and staff quite friendly. Now the rest. It's just a pub that sells mediocre food. They don't have a wine list to view but they'll read it to you, minus prices, so customers could be in for a surprise, at £7.50 a glass. We waited over 30 mins for food even though the pub wasn't that busy, & when it came it had clearly been sitting as it was only just warm enough to eat. Tasteless stroganoff & tough gammon. Not a place to return to.

*EDIT* Fantastic place with a family friendly atmosphere and play area in the garden. Drinks are priced slightly above average and I believe this is due to location, but this is countered by their food which is well priced for the quality. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. * not sure if just having a bad day but waitress with red hair was extremely unpleasant and had a "I don't want to be here attitude". Removed star from rating as this made us feel unwanted at the restaurant*

Moved into Longridge area 8 months ago and we were looking for a local pub to have Sunday lunches, etc. Drove past the plough for many months and after hearing great reviews, we decided to book for Sunday lunch last week end. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff and atmosphere was great and the food....well better pub food we've not had in 8 months! Sunday lunch we could have regular or go large. We went large for £2 per meal more. Well, we could hardly finish the plate. The beef was so tender, it just gently pulled apart with no effort at all. Melt in the mouth. Vegies were perfectly done and biggest yorkshire we've seen. Asked for extra gravy and it was service with a smile. Highly recommended and will definitely go back with the family.

Came for a meal with family mid week, my husband and I had just come back from our honeymoon and my brother who had come home from Saudi to be at the wedding wanted a family gathering before he jetted off back. The the pub was quite quiet so you'd think they would be glad of the custom really. There was 18 of us so a fair bit of income for the pub. All eating 3 course meal and drinks. When we arrived at 6.30pm we were still waiting for 6 people to arrive, we all got drinks while we waited but the staff were getting impatient wanting to take out order. Order was placed once they arrived and the food came out pretty quickly and we all enjoyed the food apart from my nan who was disappointed with her meal as she had got hardly any chicken on her meal compared with the other two people who ordered the same thing. After we finished we ordered desserts and 5 of us wanted coffee with the dessert but we were told the coffee machine had been turned off..why they couldn't have turned it back on I don't know. My nan even said she would be happy with an instant coffee but they refused to make her one. After dessert we all still had pretty much a full drink left but staff came over and told us they were closing in 10 mins so we needed to hurry up and leave! The whole time we were there we felt like they didn't want us there and felt very rushed in and out. We spent hundreds of pounds between all 18 of us that night. The food was good but the service let it down. We won't be rushing back for a family meal again just because of the service. Clearly they were setting up for a funeral the next day but that shouldn't be a reason to give a booking the day before a poor experience.

Always excellent food and service every time. My only point of concern is the carpark and the exit out at the far end! There is a very large drop curb down which is very deceiving to anyone who is a first time customer. I have witnessed on several occasions cars going straight down and seriously banging underneath their car when it is to late! There is no warning signs or markings at all!

Fantastic food and service very good. We came in for family lunch day. The meat was turkey and beef on the roast dinner and was superb, real melt in your mouth standard. Home made stuffing with Yorkshire puddings the size of tractor tyres. My rump steak was perfectly done probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The garlic bread we had for our starters was excellent. The whole family loved it here and would highly highly recommend. They have a good size children’s play area behind the large car park which would be great for families with younger kids. One recommendation which is in no way a criticism but maybe management look at replacing the hand dryers in the gents as they weren’t particular powerful but they are ok but that’s just constructive. Thanks for an excellent lunch!

Called for a pint and food on my way home. Had a caprese salad to start, which was quite nice, but the sliced bog Tom's had no flavour. Small heritage ones would taste better. I then had a steak n ale pie, which was a huge disappointment. The pie itself was that small it was nearly all pastry with only 4 chunks of meat in it. 12 chunky oven chips, a handful of frozen peas and a gravy boat that only held about 2 table spoons of gravy. The beer looked and tasted good to start, but quickly lost its head so tasted flat for the last 3/4 of the pint. All for £23 and change. So not good value either. Will not be going back!

We were victims of the notorious M6 milk tanker incident on Sunday 2nd July. We were travelling back from an event in an old classic car, and had to divert through the trough of Bowland, and ended up exhausted and virtually out of petrol. The petrol stations in Longridge had closed for the day and there was still queueing traffic on the A roads. Yikes! We sought sanctuary at the Plough, and were made to feel very welcome. We had the best Sunday dinner while we waited for a kind family member to bring a can of petrol. Special thanks to Chantelle who had extended her shift to help support all the extra demand, and looked after us brilliantly. Thanks to the management for the excellent customer service ethic and the great food. We will definitely be dining with you again.

Yet again something missing from a happy meal.. equals unhappy kids refusing to eat. How hard can it be to look at an order and put said items in a bag.. somebody needs to have a word or start deducting money from staff if they don’t put all items in the order…!!

Not eaten here so my review doesn't account for food but this is a great sports bar with amazing service. From the seat I'm currently sat at I can see 6 screens showing 3 different channels. A goodun for midweek champions league fixtures as its not unbearably busy but still has a good vibe.
