The Place To Eat in Isle of Wight

Fantastic! Welcomed in with a friendly smile, the ladies were lovely at all times. Hot drinks all tasty, served with a cute little biscuit on the side. I had the steak burger, which came in a toasty hot bun, with proper grated cheese on top & between the two burgers that melted beautifully. This was served with chips & salad. It all tasted so good. Highly recommend, we'll be back soon :-)

We were really looking forward to a veggie breakfast, but unfortunately they were out of stock due to high demand that day, so opted for cheese and onion omelettes. The omelettes were delivered promptly and the cheese and onion filling was very tasty, a really good value meal The staff were also helpful and friendly.

We popped in for breakfast after reading the Google reviews. Firstly, the price on Google is wrong, the All In Breakfast is £9 not £7.50 The restaurant is very clean, and breakfast was delicious. Chef and lady serving were very friendly and helped make changes due to allergies. Coffee was very bitter out of a machine. I've attached photos of latest menu.

Great old school cafe , run by Barry (quite a character) homely food reminds me of an old school greasy spoon but to be fair isn’t that the charm

Looking at the food on the plates when walking in looked presentable, I ordered lasagne chips n salad to take out, daughter ordered tuna melt n chips, after 2 mouthfuls everything went in the bin, chips needed cooking a bit longer, tuna melt was on a slice of bread, lasagne had no taste whatsoever.

I’m really not sure where to start… We often drive and walk past this cafe, and always had a look in to see it’s quite busy, so thought we would finally give it a try. I wish we had never bothered. Upon arrival, the staff just stared at us, without a hello. The Waiter was abrupt and came across very miserable. It was as though he and all the other staff members didn’t want to be there. They were just watching us eat and staring at the clock, even commenting on how long they had left. The Food came out and was disgusting. There was watery fat on my plate. Extremely greasy. It was as though the cook had just picked it in the pan and plonked it on the plate🤢 the sausage was hard and looked and tasted as though it had been cooked ten times over. Coffee they say is luxury, but tasted, cheap, cheerful and very strong that I couldn’t even taste the sugar I put in. Toastie and Tea was fine. Food and Service does need to improve a lot.

Went in for brunch and it was nice, there was no room on a table however the lady on table 8 welcomed us..Loved it so much here going back soon.

Really good English breakfast, average price, didn't like the coffee or the mac and cheese

Excellent value food, excellent quality and friendly atmosphere. Highly reccommended. We were rather late for lunch and they didn't have many vegetables left by then, but the lasagne and chips with salad rather than vegetables was delicious as was the mince (meat) pie with vegetables.

My 13 year's old daughter was forced to work for this cafe by her military grandmother, who has been abusing her for years and now is out of her care and back home. However My daughter has told me some awful stuff So let me explain. Her nan is friendly with the owner Barry. After being bullied by her grandmother and her dad to work at this cafe for her nans friend illegally as she is under age the owner of this cafe barry was paying my child Illegally The amount was £6 Less than the minimum wage and she isn't old enough to be working there as its very much against the law.. He made fun of her handwriting when she already lacks confidence and was extremely rude towards her .. As my child has no work experience. I had to explain to her when she come home That is not the way to be treated by someone who employs you and it's illegal because of her age. She was forced to do it and it left her lacking Confidence forbhow shes been treated. If i her mother had been made aware sooner I would have put a stop to it sooner. But yes , this man has had my daughter working like a slave whilst making fun of her and paying her peanuts.. When I have tried to discuss this face to face with the owner he come out the kitchen with A jug of hot milk holding it close to my face It felt like I was being threatened to get out or be burnt and scolded. I did say to him multiple times ring the police let see what they say ..eventually I left du Due to the fact I thought he was gonna put hot microwaved milk all over my face.. I will deal with this professionally now.. Be warned if you approach the owner. He is violent and will manhandle you Whilst holding hot items in your face waving it around shouting, get out my cafe because he doesn't want the truth to come out that he's been abused my kid and child slave labour has took place. You're in a lot of trouble, now.. And you think her child abusing grandmother? It's gonna save your cafe, your wrong. Her word doesn't give you the right to break the law you criminals....

I would challenge anyone to find anywhere better for food, atmosphere and service.

Lovely place to eat. Very reasonable prices. We had a Lamb Roast yesterday after coming across this place while visiting the Island for the day. It was the best Lamb I have ever tasted. Will definitely be coming back on our next visit. The staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend.

When we arrived in Newport, we were all hungry and fancied some breakfast We came across this cafe whilst geocaching in the area and it was open bonus The owner was very friendly and obliging and was most accommodating especially as we had a toddler in a pushchair with us. The breakfast was tasty and most welcoming. Great food, great prices, plenty of choice on the menu, we will certainly be back

I went here with 3 friends for a quick lunch. We all loved this place! Really friendly and efficient service and a nice range of well priced food choices, prepared freshly. The train set running all around the cafe just below the celing was a fun, quirky touch. I'm an island dweller and will add this to my list of places to take friends and family. One of our favourite places to eat in Cowes. A friendly welcome, no nonsense and extensive menu, ample portions and freshly cooked. We were there for breakfast and really enjoyed our stop. Always seems to be someone in there whatever time of time.

Drove to this cafe to enjoy some of the amazing reviews previously guests had left. Unfortunately due to technical issues they were closed which is a shame as we drove 30 minutes specifically to go there. Hope they get up and running again soon.

We almost walked past this little cafe. But I'm glad that we didn't. We had a fresh, filling, tasty well priced lunch. We all had different things and we were all satisfied with everything. The staff obviously care about what they do.
