I booked a table for Myself and my Mum for a Mother’s Day Treat. I booked a table online for 10:15 for brunch. We both got welcomed by lovely staff members and got shown to our table. The only downfall was It was quite small and there wasn’t much room on the table with a big book holding the cutlery pot and salt and pepper alongside a candle that was quite close to us both. So there wasn’t loads of room on the table by time our drinks and food came but we managed. There was a wide range of breakfast choices. We both went for the same the pink cabbage cooked breakfast it was streaky bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, 2 sausages, fried egg, crispy Parmesan potatoes and beans and toast. It was all cooked to absolute perfection! Super tasty and it went nicely alongside a glass of freshly made orange juice! It was a lovely atmosphere in the place, decorated nicely and very friendly. They do a wide selection of nice cakes and pastries if you didn’t fancy anything too filling. They have a lovely seating area outside the front perfect to enjoy a drink in the sunshine if you fancied it! My Mum really enjoyed herself and we are looking forward to returning here again soon. 🌸🌸♥️♥️

We stumbled upon this great cafe on a muddy walk over the weekend and what a find - amazing coffee and cake , staff super friendly - we will be back .

Lovely place for brunch/Lunch. Gorgeous food which I couldn’t fault. Lovely atmosphere. We’re came today on a Sunday and cold rainy day and it was so warm and friendly and perfect place to relax and catch up with friends. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area

Our second visit to this quirky restaurant in the old converted ticket office. We had previously visited the cafe in Mayfield and had a superb take away. Friendly staff and a good selection of filling brunch offers. Scrambled eggs on sour dough with deep yellow colour so I’m guessing they are proper farm eggs. Their bread is top notch to whoever supplies it from the sourdough to the focaccia. Tempting selection of delicious cakes that are difficult to refuse. Lovely coffee & teas. Need to make a booking for a tapas night soon.

A wonderful establishment and such friendly service! I had the brisket in focaccia, the brisket was so tender and just melted in your mouth. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you! 👍

I can’t thank you enough for making my 50th birthday night everything I had hoped it would be. From going way out of your way to move tables around so I could fit in my family from all over the world, to suggestions to make the evening even better (bring decorations and cake? No problem). The service was amazing, a million different tapas plates for 12 guests and they all arrived hot and delicious and together. It felt relaxed and personal. Thank you so much. I’ve been back many times for lunch and breakfast and you have never disappointed. What a boost to Heathfield you are.

Fabulous tapas meal at the Pink Cabbage. The food was very tasty with plenty of choice for 2 fussy eaters. The ladies who served us were friendly and welcoming. We're definitely coming for another tapas meal.

Lucy and her team were fabulous. We were filming in the area snd so many locals told us that this was the spot for lunch or afternoon tea. Oh boy. Were we surprised!!! Not only warm hugs snd reception but great people dining and…. Best bakery goods ever! A real treat snd so very personable. Situated in a converted railway station just adds the ambiance… a destination for sure!!!

Just home from a wonderful tapas evening at Pink Cabbage to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Delicious food and wonderful ambiance and service ( thank you Caden, Sharon and the nice chap in the black t shirt ) . We brought our own wine as Lucy the owner is still pursuing an alcohol licence. No corkage charge levied which was much appreciated. All in all I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant- a real find in sleepy old Heathfield !

Just the most lovely cafe. We had a large family get together for brunch and were accommodated comfortably. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were amazing, welcoming, friendly and dealt with all our orders and re orders in such a lovely efficient way. The breakfasts were delicious and the seating comfortable and spacious. It was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last. Excellent on all fronts. Thank you for making our visit and reunion so easy.

Such a lovely time at The Pink Cabbage. We reserved the larger room for brunch to celebrate a family birthday and it was the perfect venue when we have such little ones. The food was delicious and some great choices making it difficult to choose what to have. Service was, as always, welcoming and friendly. We thoroughly recommend it!

My Husband went to order at 2.01pm and was rudely told by young boy that kitchen closed at 2pm. Had been sitting down outside waiting for husband to arrive for 10mins. No one had told me that kitchen only open until 2. Not good customer service.

Our family simply loved the Thursday night tapas meal. We ordered just about every dish on the menu; all superb! Lovely setting; attentive staff What’s not to like? Definitely a five star experience!!

Lucy and her staff were BRILLIANT. Smiles galore and truly friendly and incredibly helpful. This is THE BEST coffee shop in Heathfield, beyond a shadow of a doubt. It’s a very clean establishment, and has a lovely atmosphere. Today (Thursday, 18 January 2024) it was packed full at 12.30, but the staff coped extremely well, and kept smiling. Superb coffee and cakes are available, so too a wide variety menu. They fully deserved the decent “tip” I gave them. If you wish a decent coffee in splendid old station conversion, get yourself down to this wee shop.

I've been several times with friends and always use the place for Breakfast meetings with customers. The customer service is always second to none and food always enjoyable. I can highly recommend the Eggs and Chorizo. Lovely quaint little place for all to enjoy!

BEAUTIFUL BUILDING AND BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND THATS WHERE IT STOPPED FOR ME UNFORTUNATELY. COMPLETE STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE. MY WIFE SENT HER FOOD BACK, COLD PLATES (INEXCUSABLE)! SOGGY SOURDOUGH. WAITED 15 MINUTES FOR THE TEA TO ARRIVE, NO BACON, POACHED OR FRIED EGGS ON THE MENU ( UNLESS I MISSED IT)!ITS VERY EXPENSIVE AS WELL IMO. I ALSO DON'T NEED A PILE OF LEAVES ON MY " BREAKFAST". SORRY NOT FOR ME, PROMISED SO MUCH BUT DELIVERED VERY LITTLE PS. ONLY BEEN OPEN 10 MINUTES SO WASN'T BUSY 😞

Returned again and had lunch this time. I ordered the wrong items for myself and my friend - brisket and cheese sandwich instead of chicken :-(. My mistake as I said name of sandwich rather than main ingredient! It was changed to what I should have ordered. I appreciate it my stupid mistake and our order was changed with no fuss. Nice lunch and friendly helpful staff. Thank you!

Wonderful dog friendly place Great for working on your laptop with dog. Staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Food great. Went there today and a staff member came over to purposefully reassure me that my dog was welcome and not in the way at all. They even brought him his own plate of treats.

We were unaware that Lucy had opened up n Heathfield. We often used to go to her cafe in Mayfield and were devastated for her when it closed so we were dleighted to see her "reborn" in Heathfield. We had a dleicious coffee and pot of tea with 2 lovely cakes sittingin the garden outside. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the ambience was great. So glad we have found you again - we'll be back for more and maybe a brunch one day too! Fred and Madeleine

I was very excited to have the Pink Cabbage come to Heathfield . However after several visits I do find the experience very hit and miss ,sometimes it’s great but other times especially Sundays not so ,and I usually go at a quieter time on a Sunday when there are plenty of staff on duty who are very friendly but the attention to detail is just not there . A few examples , no napkins , hot glasses which have come straight out of the dish washer for cold water , tables not cleared outside whilst 4 members of staff were at the counter .

Lovely place to enjoy tea,coffee and a wonderful selection of cakes. Very friendly staff. Outside seating area if a nice day. Menu for brunch looks very good ,will need to try that one day .

Really enjoyed, food well cooked and tasty, I had the Tomato and Mushroom option followed by Bakewell Tart. Staff really friendly. Reason for not having given a higher rating was partner had the Eggs Benedict which he said was really nice but given it was 2 eggs and bacon only served with one smallish piece of bread which given it was he thinks £11 something was pretty expensive so would possibly just opt for the coffee and cake next time. I do appreciate the cost of everything has gone up and don't mind paying but in this instance just another piece of bread would have made the difference between good value for money and not. On a plus love the décor.

I’m unsure why they don’t properly cook the mushrooms or tomatoes so you are just paying a lot for raw vegetables with raw garlic on, so disappointing. Wondered if it was just mine but everyone had raw mushrooms. Feel sick now , I won’t bother...

We were able to have lunch outside on a perfect summer's day and it was as if we were on the continent - maybe the south of France. Delightful.

After visiting The pink cabbage in their previous location I expected more of the same great food in their new location. Unfortunately a ‘stack’ of pancakes was little more than a couple of small pancakes and some fruit and very overpriced for what it was....

Informal meeting with a couple to organise some photo shoots. The Pink Cabbage has superb brunches, quirky ambiance, welcoming staff. \the food arrives quickly. coffee great but never hassled to leave/ What an innovation.
