Wow.. what a great place to meet your friends .. hang out and partake in the value for money food and drink .. just wish there was a little back ground music x or the option to have an area with music.

Leffe, my favorite Belgian beer, was served very cold and accompanied by good snacks.

food is not good i ordered a burger it was cold and burnt wont be eating there again.

The best bus stop in the uk. Have a pint outside spoons while you wait for the bus

Rude man with a bald head behind the bar, order didn’t go through due to an error and discussing my issue with other customers and staff loudly, making us appear incompetent to others for a simple mistake, not taking the time to have a conversation with his customers and just blatantly rude.

Good spacious pub good menu and food

It's an ok place, standard Weatherspoons, and a friendly manager. Food was hot and quickly served. Beers ok for range. It's a drop in with family and grab a bite and drink. Toilets not fully clean, but appreciate busy. Not easy to move through at times if your disabled. So should consider this if seat planning.

Went early on in the morning and had a large breakfast. Brilliant food, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. On a high street too so lots of shops to pop into too

I really liked the shop, from decoration, food and service. And lower prices than the same chain that is all affordable.

Title says it all really. Just wanted a quick wet, had one and got out of there. As far as that little experience went, it was spot on.

My son ordered American style pancakes and the staff decided it would be funny to joke that they didn’t have any pancakes which made my child visibly upset then the bartender decided he would say they have no fruit and said it was true now we get on to the worst part my child didn’t like his food the syrup tasted like cinnamon and the pancakes were chewy like rubber my child only ate 2 pancakes and left the rest he was upset.This place is abysmal do not go here do not recommend

Such a lovely place. Went for a breakfast with 5 colleagues. All well satisfied. Staff friendly and efficient.

Being in the town centre, the atmosphere isn't always great but the staff always more than make up for any odd vibes in the pub, they're lovely and brilliant at what they do!

It's a witherspoon sell food beer 🍺 ya , pub lunch / dinner . Never regretted any thing on menu

Is a bit dark in the back & slightly chilly and it was a warm 20 degrees when I went but ok spoons

Great place for a pilgrimage and a pint

11 inch pizza wasn't cooked properly it was soggy and very much like dough not edible at all staff didn't even want to check with us food has gone down hill badly not eating in there again very disappointed avoid eating in this one at all costs save your money for a professional cooked pizza. Was kept waiting 30 minutes for food to arrive and came out shocking not even cooked properly fuming shocking service drinks are your safest bet stay away from the food there

Sorry Wetherspoons. I have left good reviews for you in the past and they were well deserved, I am a regular customer, but today, you committed a cardinal sin I ordered a chicken masala from the curry menu…. When it arrived it was warm rather than hot. You have to be careful with chicken… I did bring this to the attention of the staff and they took it back into the kitchen and warmed it up!!! You should not do this…., I should have been given a new plate of food …. You should not serve chicken warm and then you should not re-heat it. This is day one lesson catering class and I cannot believe that you did this. ( and yes, I do know for certain that it was the same dish that was returned to me) Obviously I could not eat this food and I did not want to make a fuss especially after complaining once already I seriously implore you to review the food delivery procedures at this Wetherspoons , it could be dangerous !! And it will be a long while before I come for lunch in the Pilgrim Oak again

Very busy so nowhere to sit easily and tables very close together, more so than any other wetherspoons I've been in as I know they usually are well crammed in but this was much worse!

Beautifully cooked breakfast. Amazingly quick service. Can't fault. This is where Wetherspoons absolutely ace things. You get what you are expecting, and that's what brings you back.

Standard pubs have good menus and large choices of drinks What let's this place are tables left with empty plates and drinks , but I understand this properly down to not enough staff when busy don't let this put you off as very good value for meals and drinks.👍

Yeah it was alright..... went out in hucknall saturday night 10/2/24 for a few beers....n started off in here! Nice pub! Good local people too! 😉👍

Fast service to the table. Food is alright, just your average spoons dinner.

Beer at a good price and well looked after.

Very disappointed. Hadn't been to a wetherspoons for years and now I remember why. Food came out wrong and they refused to correct the mistake, no check back was made (this is their company policy) barman was more interested in having fun and games with the other members of staff than actually serving. Thank you for reminding me why I shouldn't return.

A great spoons, it doesn’t have the best atmosphere as they have no music here. But the service is next to none. Very friendly and extremely fast service no matter how busy it is.

Not enough staff, food order was wrong. They didn't have any steaks and when the alternative food arrived it was cold.

Cracking as usual and had some humour from the bar staff that was met with actual laughter rather than my normal sarcastic chuckle. Food and service grand. Thanks again.

I meet my friend for a chat it's a nice atmosphere and mostly good coffee but sometimes coffee could do with being hotter

Shoiut out to KIM and OLIVIA who were working behind the bar on 22 August 2023 who diffused an ugly incident outside the pub. Very brave and excellent citizenship

Gave it another go, it's actually got worse. Food has gone hugely downhill over the last 12 months, far worse than other Wetherspoons

Two of my family where ill after eating breakfast here won't be going again

Always very dark, could do with sprucing up. Very busy at weekends. Food is OK but getting expensive.

Called in last night for the curry night…. Have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised. 2 curries and 2 drinks for 17 pounds … I had Korma, wife had masala. Both were excellent. Ordered from the app ( was told it was quicker). Drinks arrived 2 mins later and meals about 2 minutes after The curries were very good. I have had much worse for twice the price. Admittedly you could have a better one from an authentic Indian restaurant, but you would be paying upwards of 40 pounds there…… Well done Wetherspoons,, great value for money

Nice place, typical Weatherspoon. Full of people who spend all day everyday drinking, if I get to that point end me, please. Overall standard Weatherspoon drinking establishment.

Been able to go there today and it didn't disappoint as the score would suggest! The Service was great as I ordered at the bar so great vfm and nicely situated as well! Food arrived fast and as ordered so top marks 4 this quaint pub!

Just want to take time to mention the lovely young lady behind the bar Rosie she is such a delight extremely helpful she remembers what drinks we have and always service with a smile .

Reasonable prices, good selection of beers and not too busy. Able to hold a conversation without background chatter.

Its just a bog standard spoons. Years overdue for a makeover. Needs some windows down the side and a larger outdoor area. The staff are ok and beer is ok, second cheapest pub on the High St. I'm not a spoons fan, I try to avoid them and go in pubs instead but feel this one could be made more welcoming. It's not called Batcave for nothing. "Renovation " that's all it needs.

Open !! Hello it's open as usual like all Wetherspoon pubs. Madras curry with chips and coleslaw sides Top Draw. Fantastic. Grainstore ten fifty real ale Excellent condition and price. Happy Days . Highly Recommended

Myself and a friend go in on a weekly basis for coffees and food, we especially look forward to our visit when james and his team are working everything seems to flow nothing is to much he's hard working and that really makes the afternoon a pleasure thank you keep up the good work.james and team.

Great atmosphere here and cheap drinks

Very busy sat aft when we went in just managed a seat .

staff was rude, messed up the food order, then when we asked about it she complained, was laughing in our faces when we complained, gave us a dry bun with a chewy chicken burger, keeps hovering over us when eating wouldn’t recommend going again!!!!!!! And we spoken to them and they refused to do a refund as it was apparently all ate, as we had a bite and was too chewy Absolutely fuming

Bar staff only seem to serve the locals that they know in this establishment. The bar staff clearly knew I was waiting to be served and then they bypassed me. Either the above reason or sexism going off in here. Even another member of the public seen what happened and he even said it’s wrong and he’s a local to here.

Afternoon visit quiet crowded clean staff very helpful and polite

Poor management and disrespectful service. Food was delivered quickly and tasted like your typical spoons food, but the staff were not very nice upon delivery when asking politely for a refund of an incorrect item ordered.

Easy/wheelchair access, on a pedestrianised High Street. Clean and tidy, good service, friendly staff, and ground floor toilets! Has the individual booths too, which seat 4.

Only had a coffee, half a cup & luke warm! Staff were nice

Needs more staff. Generally have to sit amongst vacated tables with dirty plates and glasses whenever we go.

This has got to be the worse breakfast we have ever had served up the toast was black and the eggs were so over cooked the yolks fell off the white I'm no chef but toast should be golden brown most definitely not black and a fried egg should be soft but not snotty . The breakfast never reaches the table hot usually its tepid . It wasn't even that busy !!

Great atmosphere and good value

Staff are 50/50 some are really friendly and helpful, while others come across rude and ignorant, typical wetherspoon decor but warm and comfortable, when it comes to food they seems to frequently run out of things and some of the meat served with the mix grill is barely edible
