First time going to Ego, food was amazing and the staff (especially Liam) were so attentive! Fantastic evening!

Went here tonight for my birthday meal with the family. None of us had been before but were blown away with how fancy everything was. Especially the service, big shout out to Liam, really helpful and friendly. Will definitely be attending again!

Absolutely incredible experience at Ego Sutton in Ashfield on Thursday night Kebab Night! I ordered the mixed meat kebab, and it was to die for. The meats were perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The blend of seasonings was spot on, with each bite more satisfying than the last. As if that wasn’t enough, the truffle fries were the perfect side. Crispy, golden, and drizzled with just the right amount of truffle oil, they were heavenly. What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service from James and Jessica. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Their recommendations were spot on, and their positive attitude made the whole dining experience so much more enjoyable. If you haven’t been to Ego Sutton on Kebab Night, you’re seriously missing out. 10/10, five stars—highly recommend it to anyone craving a delicious meal and great service!

Very nice place where to go. The food was excellent and Gemma was very nice and helpful. It also nice to see such a sofisticated place that allows dogs in. All members of staff where friendly with our dogs and giving her water and dig biscuits. We will definitely come again.

This was our 2nd visit here and again everything was 1st class. We were served by Gemma who was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the wine selection. Will definitely return.

Came for food this evening and it was lovely, the atmosphere was amazing. Liam was our server and he’s been nothing but attentive! I recommend when you come to ask if Liam is in for a chat as he just makes the experience so pleasant. He’s a lovely worker and a credit to you all at Ego. Food was excellent and I’ve left feeling amazing.

After spending my birthday weekend looking around for locations for food we decided on the Ego and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. When our food arrived, I was taken aback by the portion sizes—very small and certainly not worth the price. To add to the frustration, when I checked the bill at home, I discovered that we had been charged for table water. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant charge for something that is often complimentary. Overall, the service and experience were lacking, making it hard to justify a return visit. I hope they can address these issues, as the location and concept have great potential.

We couldn’t fault the service from Megan she was really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We explained that we wanted to select food that was gluten and dairy free from the NCGI menu. The issue was that there were no indications on the special menu to advise what was what and even when we selected something Megan had to advise that the sauce had some element of cream in it. The positive was she managed to get the dish served with the sauce on the side which was great. It’s a shame that the menu isn’t super clear and you have to use glass onion to find the ingredients.

Had the absolute most pleasure being served by a wonderful young lady yesterday, a young blonde girl called Chloe was so nice to both me and my friend, quick to make sure everything we needed was taken care of; the food was brilliant and was only made better by the great care of our waitress. Late decision to go out for early dinner, glad we did, food was delicious as always, our waitress (Chloe) was lovely, bubbly & fun. Big party in, didn’t bother us, however, our waitress had mentioned to the manager we had waited a while for our starters, he came over with apologies and a complimentary drink …… which was absolutely thoughtful & welcomed. Personally I have only ever had compliments for this restaurant, both for the food & staff. Thank you for a lovely evening 😊

Wednesday lunch excellent, been few times, great value very good service

Great food, service was a little hit and miss and the wait for the food was a little longer than we’d hoped for.

Service was slow, had to ask twice for the desert menu and when we finally got to order the mini desserts and coffee we were told no we could not have hot drinks due to a big party having afternoon tea, he'd already got 30 hot drinks to make, so we asked for the bill and that was wrong, charged us for individual cocktails when they were on 241 and had to be sorted. Food was nice but service poor, due to lack of staff for the amount of customers that had.

Had a birthday meal for my son’s birthday a party of 12. The online booking was not the easiest to navigate. The food for the majority of the party, we enjoyed, although those of the party who had the roast beef, commented the beef was ‘fatty’ myself and husband had roast lamb and this was excellent and so was those who had steaks. Staff were polite. We regularly eat here and never have a problem.

This was my first visit here and I was kinda disappointed, it was really nice weather outside and we wanted to stay outside. When we ordered the food we were told they don't do table service outside, even though there were 3 tables inside the restaurant. So we chose to stay inside because we have ordered starters mains and we wanted to enjoy the meal so as not to keep going back inside and take our own cutlery like we have been told we would have to do if we stayed outside. The starters were really good (prawns and calamari) , unfortunately the steaks didn't meet up our expectations, a decent side of french fries, a peppercorn sauce that seemed to be really cheap like the ones you buy at the corner shop for a pound and not very tasty, and a very small half tomato. The table service was ok but the way we were welcomed made me give only 2 stars for the service. Not really sure I will have food there again,but it's a nice place to have coffee though .

The food is usually excellent, but on this one occasion my partners duo of pork was very fatty. We told the waiting staff, who didn't really seem interested. We are regular visitors to ego and do like it. But they could have at least been more interested.

Lovely afternoon. Sandwiches were beautiful, the desserts were light which were great and the scones were yummy. The salmon and falafel were a great extra touch. As I had the Prosecco it was lovely that I could still have the tea. It was for my mums birthday treat she really enjoyed it. The lady who looked after us was friendly. Atmosphere was great, lovely decor.

An altercation between some customers and a member of staff ruined our evening. The incident was not handled well by management at all, it seemed to continue to escalate for some time leaving the other customers in the restaurant visibly uncomfortable. The language used during the altercation was eye watering, we did not expect to dine in an establishment such as this and witness this! This should have been moved to a more private space much quicker and deescalated much quicker.

Food was good but portions are a little small.

Good quality tasty food and very server. Only complaint was a 50 minute wait between starter and main course!
