10 out of 10, lovely experience from start to finish, warm welcome at the door, our waitress was Chloe and she was wonderful, so pleasant and really good at her job. To be fair all the staff at Ego are wonderful, so thank you for a lovely experience.

Service and food was great, would recommend and Gemma was super helpful and courteous.

The food was delicious but our evening was made by the exceptional service delivered by Gemma. A true credit to the business, we will definitely be back.

I loved this place! I went here for my Great Grandmother’s golden anniversary and Ive got to say, AMAZING SERVICE. They had colouring for children, three course meal and great selection of beverages! The staff were also so kind and the toilets were honestly the cleanest bathrooms I've seen. 5 stars, absolutely recommend going here

Nice place but to say was fairly quiet 5 mins waiting at an empty bar to be served not a great start

Top knotch. Food was fabulous. Gambos pil pil was not sizzling so you loose a star. Tasted good though. Staff are lovely. Very attentive. Bill was not extortionate either. Will definitely return if I'm in Ashfield any time.

Really amazing experience having lunch here today. The service was personal and brilliant. The food was really great however, I think the lunch menu was a tad pricey. That being said the food was well worth it. They were a little busy the wait on food was over 30 mins.

Visited Ego on Friday night with a friend to celebrate our belated birthdays. The restaurant was nice and busy with a great atmosphere. Our waitress, Megan was friendly and efficient and all the staff made a feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was excellent and we had a thoroughly lovely evening.

A great looking pub, with friendly staff, but I didn't enjoy the food, nowhere near hot enough, even the custard was cold!

Everything was great not a bad word could be said about our visit, my pizza was having to be remade and the communication was great so I knew what was going on and it was resolved super quick and I got a complimentary drink for the small wait all the staff where super friendly it was honestly amazing 100% will be back . 😊

Went for the Valentines Day special, and it really did the night justice! The first thing that hit me was the setting. It looks like a pub, but feels like a top restaurant when you walk in. The food was stunning. Whilst my wife felt the garlic mushrooms could’ve been warmer (I said it’s better than burning your mouth off), both of us felt the pork and chicken for the main were so tender and melted in the mouth. The mini selections of desserts complimented each other perfectly, and I could’ve had a whole meal just on them alone! According to the bill, our server was Chloe and she was fantastic. So welcoming and friendly. All in all, couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate a beautiful night

We went with 4 kids and 3 adults. The service was really slow. We had to ask for the kids deserts, we were left with empty plates for over 15 mins. It was half term and we should have got 50% off the kids meal which we didn’t not get nor did the waiter mention. And we didn’t get the kids packs that were advertised. All in all a rubbish customer service experience.

Great food, lovely service. Would defo come here again. The setting in Sutton in Ashfield not necessarily a destination place, but we were in the area, and it was perfect place for a Sunday lunch

Extensive range of food on a special children’s menu excellent for picky eaters and for parents that want their children to have more than chicken dippers loved it all

I’ve been to Ego three times and have enjoyed to food, however on this occasion I was slightly disappointed, it took 40 minutes to even get starters only after me after where they were. When we reviewed them {cream garlic mushrooms) they were just Luke warm. The rest of the food was ok. The service I did find to be a little slow, I felt like you had to go up and find someone if you wanted another drink or even to pay the bill.

Chloe was AMAZING. She was engaging and attentive to us all night.

Chloe was great food was nice although interesting mushy peas very fresh flavour not at all what we expected but still lovely could have done with a few more chips with the fish. Had a great time would come back again

Liam served us today, he was such a lovely man who was polite, friendly and attentive. We also had two ladies I'm unsure on their names which were incredible too. We had our 7 month old daughter with us and all three of them couldn't have been more welcoming. This is our third time coming to Egos and we love it each time! Thank you

Food was fabulous. Server was brilliant, we waited a bit for food but it was tea time on a Saturday night on valentine's weekend so we expect a bit of a wait. We had a 7 year old, 2 year old and a baby with us and the staff were really good with the kids.

Staff and Beers on tap are wonderful, I was on Estrella lovely clean notes and well kept lines, staff extremely attentive and very hospitable - I tend to travel up to Mansfield quite a bit for work, and so far, this is the nicest restaurant I've found local to my hotel. It's my second visit to the Ego - I ordered the Ribeye cooked MR 280g £28.50 on a relatively busy Thursday evening, it took over 30 minutes to arrive. It was cooked well, lovely temperature and nice charring. But I felt for the price - the quality of the steak didn't match up. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but the fat wasn't rendered and the steak was still tough. I'll be back but I wanted to leave an honest review, thanks 👍

Only certain seating for having rea or coffee. Although there were only a handful of people I wasn't able to purchase a pot of tea for one as informed there were no teapots available. My tea was served in a glass latte cup. !!!! I detest glass cups 😬 We felt unwelcome at this venue due to only ordering a drink.

Came for the second time when travelling through to my mother-in-law’s and what a wonderful experience we were served by Gemma which acquired all of our needs and attended to any drinks as soon as they needed refilling the food was absolutely outstanding and Gemma was absolutely amazing with all requests highly recommend 10 out of 10

Always found this place really nice to dine in. However I'm finding that it's cleanliness is going down hill, dirty menus, condiments on tables, candles on tables etc. This seems to be getting worse the last few times I have been.
