Unexpected visit due to accident on motorway... comfort break to refuel with food & drink (toilet), before continuing journey. Like home from home :-)

Very good breakfast and as usual superb value for money. Service was prompt and the food hot. Place was fairly busy and clean and tidy.

A nice compact spoons in the old cinema. Several different levels to eat, drink and people watch from.

One of my favourite spoons. The layout reminds me of the palladium in Llandudno. Such a cool layout for a spoons with 4 floors

Had to ask for the tables to be cleaned every time we went in. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Food was consistently cold. The decor is beautiful.

I love this wetherspoons - it's a lovely old picture theatre turned pub and has lovely paintings and art deco architecture inside. The staff are friendly, helpful and hard working. They work to a high level of cleanliness and organisation.....I've never really had a bad time there. However, one issue,the 2 coffee machine regularly have issues and having only one operating can cause queues. One coffee machine can be out of operation for a week or more. When I ask the staff say the supplier is waiting for parts??? I cannot believe that in 2025, a coffee machine supplier cannot quickly rectify a machine operation. Wetherspoons has these machines all over the UK- surely pressure can be put on the supplier to rectify any issues within, say, a one day turnaround. The supplier Lavazza is giving a bad service....and unfortunately the great staff take the flak....

Though the staff multitask successfully it makes the service at the bar a bit patchy. On the ground floor there are too many tables making it very cluttered and crowded at busy times. The range of drinks is excellent as is the food menu, I avoid reading the in-house magazine as it tends to be punctuated with the Europhobic musings of the chairman who has never stopped ranting about all things EU and how the nation is better off out of it. However, the impact on alcohol prices has been evident over the past few years making my time at the bar brief.

Can't believe a pint of handpull is £1.99 here! Quirky building with Egyptian murals and green theatre curtains. Definitely worth a visit.

Must be the nicest, cleanest and most welcoming Wether spoons we've been to. Over last 20 years plus we've visited this chains establishments in England, Scotland and Wales and by far this, Colwyn Bay is the best. Thank you to all staff, Front and catering staff, excellent 👍.

Manager on duty was rude. Wrong food brought out and when mentioned to said manager he refused to believe it. We left 2 meals fully paid for and left.

Pop in for breakfast occasionally and service and food always very good. Very reasonable prices too.

What's not to love, sat in an old historic theatre

Go here quite often, so it must be ok. It's better than the Palladium because it's smaller and the staff are very attentive.

Great sympathically restored old cinema .. Friendly staff , it in an odd position in town with no parking .

We ordered burgers. They were burnt so we sent them back. They then brought two more burnt burgers to our table. They went back as well. I offered to show them how to cook a burger but my offer was not taken up. Eventually we got 2 burgers that were properly done.

They make a pretty great steak I'll be honest

Spoons in Colwyn Bay is my favourite go to place , food is always good , prices are really reasonable and always had exceptional service from the staff.They really do have to work hard, multitasking and have great respect for that. Always very polite, would highly recommend 👍💯

Lovely Wetherspoons, payed a visit while staying in Llandudno end December 2024, its not as big as The Palladium in Llandudno but it is just as beautiful. The outside of the building is stunning I love old buildings, it looks quite small from the outside but when you walk in its like a tardis and quite big with 4 levels. Worth a visit and clean.

Lovely building typical of Wetherspoons. Good food and staff are brilliant. Really inexpensive. Very good value.

Was really good years ago but some things have changed for the worst including getting rid of the big couch at the top and other things maybe put the TVs back on and get some more atmosphere.

Fantastic place, great atmosphere, food is good & really cheap. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Only downside is no wheelchair access as there a few steps to get up. Altogether though it's a fantastic place all round.

Called in for Breakfast 28 November 2024 while on holiday. Probably the best I’ve ever had at any Wetherspoons. Staff are very friendly and a marvellous building.

The staff here must be the best in any Wetherspoons in the country. They always welcome you and are always happy. Such a friendly place with a personal feel. Doesn't feel like a typical Wetherspoons more like a local country pub. Top job, thanks for the effort.

Freezing cold night outside, like a fridge inside, ordered a mixed grill, it tasted like they forgot to grill it, had to move to find a spot out of the cloud draught, asked if everything was ok by a waitress that didn't bother to wait for a reply, gets worse and worse, I hate to think what the beer garden will do to the poor management of this place

Lovely small Wetherspoons pub, and all the staff compliment it too! We pop in for breakfast or lunch three or four times during our weeks holiday that we have a couple of times each year, which proves my claim that it’s lovely!……….oh, and it’s beers are well kept too!

Standard wetherspoons. Cheap and cheerful, you can't really go wrong. Plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly.

Lovely building with lovely staff, ALL team worked very hard and was very polite but one person in particular I felt went above and beyond was a girl called molly, as we Sat on a clear table next to where she cleaning one she offered to give it an extra wipe for our comfort. Which was very nice and always smiling which actually looked an honest one not false, Anyway food was good and quick service, I like the app only small issue bring back custard for deserts

Ideal for a quick lunch and drink

Lovely old building typical of those used by Wetherspoons. We just called for a coffee which was good and great value as ever. We were walking along the prom and it was an easy diversion to get there. A good stop off we will use again as we often cycle along here

On a tour of the coast we were in need of a well earned coffee break. Colwyn Bay was our stop and we headed off in search of a kettle. Russell Hobbs and Morphy Richards were not options; We couldn't find a spare plug socket on the street. Then, The Picture House appeared on Princes Drive and in we headed, knowing full well that Wetherspoons almost give away their coffee to get you in the joint. Originally The Princess Picture House, the pub hasn't changed that much since those heady days of ice cream and usherettes. We had a couple of hot coffees from the self serve machines, marveled at the utterly dreadful carpet, wandered ten miles from one side of the pub to the other in order to have a wazz and disappeared further into the coast of North Wales.

Our 2nd visit and again didn't disappoint, nice place, nice atmosphere good food and staff would definitely recommend.

Stayed at the travelodge for 2 nights and this place is only a 5 minute walk, I decided to have breakfast there each morning. Lovely breakfast and staff very friendly and accommodating. Inside is really nice one of the best I have been in lots of old features from its days as a cinema and Lovely painting on the wall on the top floor, really recommended trying if staying nearby.

Special ambience and great value for money!

We love Wetherspoons and go regularly but tonight I stood at the bar for a good five minutes being ignored by the girl behind the bar who was putting glasses away. She must have known I was there, I was right in front of her but she completely blanked me. Surely customers should come before putting glasses away!!

Do you like going to a place where the manager ignores tourists and serves locals even when they tell her your first ? Do you want to be treated rudely and be harassed by staff ? Do you want your teenage son to be questioned by staff what he is drinking even though he’s not got a drink Or your other 19 year old daughter with ID being refused an adult drink ?? How about staff refusing to give names when you advise your complaining or refunding you not by your original payment method Quite simply the WORST PLACE EVER -do not go unless you want to be treated like dirt -I dare you Wetherspoons challenge this review But it gets better I bumped into the regional manager who PROMISED he would look at the cctv and get the manager to call me and no one has ever called it shows how much this pub/restaurant cares AVIOD !!

Very nice building and was quite quiet at 2pm on Saturday

We had two small plate meals which were huge and great value for money.

Lovely clean pub. Kept some of the original features. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We had mixed grills in the evening and traditional breakfasts in the morning. Both meals were lovely, hot and value for money. Will definitely return.

Visited Sunday evening. Was busy as the sun was shining and holiday makers like us were out in force . Ordered via the app, unfortunately an ale had just finished but hey ho not the end of the world and the staff advised me of other options . Drinks and food served promptly, staff polite and friendly. As with all Wetherspoons the staff are playing catch up with cleaning tables but the old Picture House is a nice quirky setting.

Burger was served with a hair in it. I requested another burger ate half, and found a piece of paper in it which i had eaten. Not brilliant.

Called in for breakfast. Food was tasty and hot. And service was quick. The place is looking quite dated and tired, but well worth a visit. Like all Wetherspoons you get decent value for money.

Food was pretty much freezing. Filled my drink up all the way with ice it was basically just a glass off ice Duty manager was rude gave me about 20 seconds to talk before just walking off. Overall wouldnt come back

Nice restaurant,but don't order scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast. Eggs too much water,which resulted in the toast being soggy,and the eggs were tasteless. In too much of a hurry to complain.

Typical Wetherspoons experience. Good food, good atmosphere and good selection of food. Staff really friendly and fast. Beer has to be the cheapest I have had in years. Friday night was packed out, Saturday was only a little bit lighter.

Oh my goodness. Never again. It was like a zoo. Tables was not clean Stuff actually stuck to the table. I.e. the menu, so gosh knows how long they been dirty for. I won't be going again. If that's what the outside is like. Then no way am I ordering food from their. Had one pint. It was like water. Tasteless. I would of spent more money in their but, I'm not sitting at dirty tables.

Actually has signed directors for disabled access, although difficult to navigate with 2 people. A lone wheelchair person would struggle without help.

The food came and it was cold by the time I came to eat it due to 4 big fans in the ceiling and the teabags were all bursting and had to make my drink twice so did my friend .I won't be having breakfast again

We came here for an evening meal on a monday - this seems to be the night most other restaurants close in the area Service was really good, staff all friendly and helpful The food was hot but the portions are very small We both had double burger. Anyone with a big appetite might have needed two. But the price was good and it was tasty

A very bizzy place. Some staff couldn't be bothered with service. Table's not cleared or cleaned. Luckily I always have some wipes with me. The inside looks amazing.
