AVOID at all costs! I recently stayed in the Superior King Room over Christmas. I booked this room due to the advertised kitchen with an oven (the only room with this facility) and its premium status, but the reality was extremely disappointing. The room was in terrible condition, with cobwebs, spiders, flies, visible hairs, and stains throughout. The toilet malfunctioned frequently, flooding and making loud noises, and at times, it wouldn't flush at all. The room was freezing, with no working heating. I left extra early because of these issues, which fall far below what should be expected from a “Superior King Room.” I am requesting a partial refund as these problems severely impacted my stay. There was no one around to call for help, and I had to leave my key in the door upon departing. Upon contacting the owner a few days later to express my concerns, they were adamant that the room was in good condition and offered me a free night's stay in the future. However, after this experience, there is no way I would ever stay there again. I have never seen filth and dirt like it— I had to clean the kitchen and fridge before use, and never have I seen anything like it. I would not recommend this place to anyone based on my experience.

Chose the Welsh Rarebit, very disappointed & It was very overpriced . The portion so small that it took a ‘light bite’ a step too fat. It consisted of one small slice of bread , which was covered in melted cheese, mixed with whole grain mustard & some green salad with chopped peppers & no coleslaw as was inc on the menu. On reading a previous review of the same meal, seems like this meal is consistently on the small side.

Visited as group of 3 this week. Ate in the cafe. All had" Welsh Rarebit". It was a great disappointment on 2 levels: It was overpriced . The portion so small that it probably belonged on the children's menu.It consisted of one small slice of bread ,covered in grated cheese, mixed with whole grain mustard,a tiny amount of coleslaw,a couple of lettuce leaves, two cherry tomatoes,a slice of red pepper and slices of onion. It was lost on the plate. All 3 portions the same. I have never felt so taken for a ride by an establishment. The small cup of coffee was also the most expensive I have purchased. It was also a poor imitation of Welsh Rarebit, in my view, seemingly cheese mixed with whole grain mustard . I had previously ordered the same item from the establishment a couple of years ago and had what seemed to me a more authentic and good value meal. The contrast added to my indignation. Sadly I had paid up front.I did share my view with a staff member. He advised that this menu item gets many compliments ! Buyer beware...over £ 11:00 for a v small slice of cheese on toast, with mustard . I note other similar posts which I wish I had read before visiting.

We had a very nice carrot cake and tea cake in the Furnace Cafe. The staff are always so pleasant and friendly. Our dog always enjoys being able to join us. We were lucky to get a voucher for the Farm Shop so treated ourselves to some delicious treats for Christmas.

Popped in for lunch after spending morning at Bodnant Gardens. (Went back after lunch) Ordered a egg mayonnaise sandwich expecting a ordinary deli mix but inside had chunks of chopped soft boiled eggs on fresh white bread. The filling was overflowing. A proper egg mayonnaise sandwich. Very tasty. Would definitely come here again.

We have been here a number of times and had great food and fantastic service. The time before last the beef was awful, gristly and lots of fat, I had to send it back twice for them to get it right. Last visit a week ago and it was good. Today the beef was very gristly and fatty and the Yorkshire pudding cold. Have the meat to the dog and they replaced the yorkie and brought back some beef saying it is the vein. I suggested the chef could actually see if there is lots of fat and gristle. It seems they have built up a good reputation only to let it slip with complacency. Will probably spend good money somewhere better next week.

What a sad farm shop. Some quality foods amongst some really poor quality items. Baked goods made with margarine, random displays of soap mixed with foods. Radio blaring pop music. This place desperately needs love and care and to managed by people who know how to display merchandise. A very sad, soulless place in a country that does have great produce, you just won’t find it here.

I love this place! Best breakfast we had while holidaying in the area. In fact we returned 4 times. Tried other places but nothing beats it. Beautiful hot coffee and hot well cooked food. The food centre is great to look around as well.

Reading other reviews I'm not too sure what people are expecting, but I've been here 3 consecutive years now for lunch/brunch and all 3 times have been fine. Food is nicely presented, staff are pleasant, the place itself is nice, not sure what more they can do. The only thing that's changed is you now order at the till rather than table service and paying after - maybe they have had incidents of people leaving without paying.

Awful food and totally disorganised service. Soup cold, sent back, returned still only warm. And very strange taste. Turkey sandwich with cheap processed rubbish masquerading as real turkey. Avoid.

Terrible service, instead of tidying up waitress kicked food under table. Long delay in service food, a salad with just half a cherry tomato

Staff are fantastic. Food was good but no GF bread in stock and I was offered a has brown as an alternative but they charged me £2.50 for it as an extra, despite offering it as an alternative. Avocado was also brown and very off. Was offered bit of cake as an apology though which was very kind and I’m sure will be yummy. Rest of food was very nice. They advertise as dog friendly which is fantastic but there are no bins anywhere. They have a dog event at the weekend so I very much hope that is rectified before then.

Bit of a rough pub. And lets kids stay in there until 12-1am at night!!!! Disgusting! Children should not be on a pub that time of night!

I am gluten-free but arrived after the jacket potatoes had all been sold… Little chef Mo was a hero and cooked some chips which are gluten-free in a separate pan for me especially! The rest of the family had Panini‘s, a pizza and ham, egg and chips and all loved it. If you’ve been here sometime ago, then you’ll be glad to hear that it’s had a revamp and it looks really clean and tidy now and very smart well worth a visit.
