The food was first class. Chef Ujani was amazing and we would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a delicious, intimate meal in the comfort of their own home. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I will strongly recommend.

The fish rolls were incredible, as was all the food. Went on a Monday night, so the restaurant was quiet, but all of the food was delicious and very filling.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Azian Kitchen, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, and the ambiance had a perfect balance of warmth and elegance. However, the highlight of my experience was the exceptional service provided by Ujani. Ujani went above and beyond to make sure our visit was unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations that matched our tastes perfectly. Her attention to detail and warm demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. She checked in with us at just the right moments, ensuring we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The food at Azian Kitchen was outstanding as well. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Thanks to Ujani’s suggestions, we got to try a variety of flavors, each more delicious than the last. Overall, I highly recommend Azian Kitchen, not only for its fantastic cuisine but also for its top-notch service. Ujani made our night memorable, and I look forward to visiting again soon!

Passing by after a coffee in Westgate Bakery, I looked in the window. A stunning Nepalese girl opened the door and asked would you like to come in? A difficult offer to refuse. I had only intended to take a look at the buffet but it was too tempting not to stay and eat. I did not eat much of the buffet, as the  Nepalese girl asked would I like a dosa?  Not only stunning, but charming and pleasant and very helpful. It’s not often seen dosa, street food. It was excellent. If possible, it would be nice to serve on a banana leaf. The owner, wife and children walked in for a meal. We were introduced and long conversation followed about food. I ordered an iced mngo latte. Good, but not as good as I make or from Lincs Momo Lincoln Central Market. Meal washed down with Lion Sri Lankan lager. Restaurant is located in Westgate, serving Nepalese, Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. Buffet Friday and Saturday evening. One of the few places worth visiting in Grantham. Grantham, Saturday afternoon and early evening dead, the streets deserted.

Fantastic south Indian food in the heart of Grantham. Every time I visit Grantham for work, this is my go- to place for authentic south Indian food. Freshly prepared Idli, authentic Sambar, sambar vadai. It’s a small place, easily missed but a great place for foodies.

It was brilliant the food was spectacular and the service was amazing she was so patient because it was my first time properly eating there she was so kind and let me take my time the food was so good till the last bite I highly recommend the atmosphere was so original , cozy and welcoming.

Based on reviews and recommendations had an evening meal of ghee dosa as well as idlis. Dosa is like a lentil and rice pancake- usually with spiced potato filling-I had mine without any filling.Idli is a steamed rice cake while vada is like a fried savoury lentil doughnut. At my request the chef made the dosa really crispy and kindly substituted an idli for a vada. All items were served piping hot, freshly made and authentic. Service and food were excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Highly recommend. Have been back and had Chicken Biryani, lemon rice and a vegetable dish. Biryani served with pickles, papad, raita is excellent- and very reasonable at £9.99.

Having been to the UK since a year this is the first brilliant restaurant from where me and my family had authentic food. I tried rice and fish curry felt like eating my mom's food service delicious 😋 South Indian recipes which were very tasty such a beautiful meals amazing. I would definitely return again and again.

Leaf is a wonderful little South Indian restaurant in Grantham. I'm so glad because I went for a Masala Dosa and chilly chicken fry It was AMAZING. It was delicious. Give it a try. To top it off, the service was excellent too.

Avoid this place at all costs. I have eaten all over the world and can honestly say, ive never had such poor food. The food was quite frankly nothing like what was ordered. I have no idea quite how they managed to get the mushrooms so dry, quite an achievement! After tasting everything we decided to leave as neither my wife or I had and confidence in what was slapped on the table, only to be charged for two dishes we never even ordered.

We attended this restaurant last eve, unfortunately we did not have the best experience and I am unsure how to explain it fully. The Waitress is friendly and very welcoming and really the best part of our experience, an asset to the restaurant. I have many years experience in cooking for the public and this was not good food. It was badly cooked, the chicken was dry, the peshwari naan was flat and tough and was covered in sugary coconut, the mushroom rice was dry. We had a couple of mouthfuls and decided to leave. My husband went quietly to make payment in an effort to not embarrass the owners, we decided not to complain loudly to distract other people in the restaurant, but what amazes me most about the whole situation is that no one at the desk thought to ask why we were obviously unhappy and leaving after just a few mouthfuls. A good restaurant would have been very concerned and made an attempt to find out. Our bill had food added that we did not have, which my husband did have taken off but our 4 poppadoms, pickles, couple of mouthfuls of inedible food, a coke and a beer ended up costing over £40 & we left hungry and angry! Such a shame - with exception to the service of the waitress who deserves her stars, I am genuinely sorry to say a less than one star experience everywhere else.

Food was very tasty, a great introduction to South Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and well decorated, however there was no music playing, causing some silence when we arrived that was somewhat uncomfortable. Small room, but many tables. One overhead light flickered now and then, and some of the ceiling looked poorly maintained. The staff were friendly, although we didn't receive very much guidance with our food choices, even when asked specifically for help. As a group of 5 we waited 80 minutes for our food. The portions were smaller than expected, also note you have to order rice separately. To our delight the food was enjoyed by all, authentic and delicious. I would recommend you try it once if you're hungry for adventure.

Authentic South Indian food that is simple, delicious and extremely cheap for the quality. The decor is a little tired, but don’t worry about that, it’s the food that you come for. A very large party arrived after we’d started and they struggled to deal with the numbers with just one server in duty.

Avaid this place, this has been sold by previous owner, reheated frozen items served, food not fresh. Good thing was that the service offered.

Found this amazing little Kerala / South Indian restaurant in Grantham. The food is amazing and great service. Very friendly, helpful staff. The Dosa is really good.

Visited for a quick mid week dinner, Under new management, they are trialling new items like Appam, Kizhi Parotta etc.. - Appam is a must try, pls serve it with a small cup of coconut milk the authentic way. Also pls serve it hot, mine was cold. - Chilli Paneer was more saucy, pls reduce the sauce, paneer tasted perfect. - Veg Kizhi Parotta was good, will be even better if you can mash the veggies in to a masala and add it to the Parotta. Overall, A nice little place, slightly cramped seating, rest rooms need attention, but the food was very good compared to our last visit.

Didn't love the food at all. Went to Leaf with the excitement of having good Indian food but it was a total flop. Staff don't hear the order properly and get the wrong order. The Naan breads were cold and the gravy was sweet. It was a pinch in our pocket with total disappointment. I would never recommend anybody to go to this restaurant.

Leaf is a wonderful little South Indian restaurant in Grantham. I'd read the good reviews, so decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. I decided to try a typical south Indian dish that you don't get in the typical North Indian (or Nepalese) restaurants. So I went for a Masala Dosa, which is like a giant pancake with potato & veg curry inside. This comes with a vegetable curry sauce and coconut chutney. It was AMAZING. I'm a carnivore, so was a bit hesitant that there wasn't meat involved, but what can I say? It was delicious. Give it a try. To top it off, the service was excellent too.

Very quiet on a Thursday night. Lovely service from our host. Decent bottle. Merlot for reasonable price. Never eaten kerala food before. Found it beautifully cooked spices we're spot on. We shared squid to start, delicious. Partner had kerala chicken and I had the goat curry both were tasty. This place is well worth a visit. If I was local thus would be my go to curry house. Thank you for a lovely meal.

I have been ordering from here for a while and was a repeat customer, enjoyed the food. My last order was very late. Contacted the restaurant they just blamed the Just Eat drivers and took no responsibility, when pushed they blamed the weather for being an hour late, it a little bit rainy that's it! No apology what so ever. At least the Just Eat driver did say sorry when I said it was late. Again no apology from the restaurant very poor service , a simply sorry and I would have been back.

Rated this place well after the first eat in experience, decided on a takeaway next time and was thoroughly disappointed. The different curries tasted almost identical and the samosas were tiny, undercooked and with a little bland filling inside rice paper. Hardly authentic or good value for money since the curries were nearly all sauce and little else, more like London prices in the middle of Grantham

Just to start off by saying, Indian food is not all about chicken tikka masala or meats drenched in oil/thick gravies. Indian cuisine is diverse and the country offers a large variety of dishes to suit all tastes! The south tends to be associated with more vegetarian dishes and fewer oil drenched gravies/curries. As someone of South Indian origin, I am always on the look out of our traditional cuisine and this restaurant certainly offers it. The only downside is the slightly smaller takeaway portions of the meat dishes but otherwise I would certainly recommend the food here!

Absolutely love this place, been going since it very first opened, fantastic food and service, real shame its never been very busy when we go, but we do eat early! Everyone we've recommended it too have also been very impressed! Only downside - an inside loo would be great, but for anyone whose ever visited India, it just adds to the authentic experience 😄

Fabulous valentines meal. Delicious home cooked style cuisine from kerala goa cuisine. Great value 3 course menu for £21 pp - excellent value filling our tummies from heart ❤️ felt cooking . So different it was a hidden gem. Well done to Rama boss and manersha both delivered homely hospitality from a passion to make everything enjoyable and it was, they really cracked the valentines night, with every table full in restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere. We will return definitely Nikki and Andy thanks to chef and all of you for making it special with a free rose and special effort making attention to detail, a nice touch making you feel relaxed and an easy restaurant to enjoy as a calm atmosphere. Blessings 🙏❤️❤️

A friend and I visited Grantham for the weekend. We had found at The Leaf and wow, beautiful food, friendly people. Definitely recommend.

Food was ok edible, service was a bit lapsidasical, brought the food out forgot the rice of one dish, hadn't even made the rice for a second dish, and then bought the bill itemised but with no total amount, so I added it up got a total then asked the lady what the total was she went away and came back with a figure £4 dearer than what I got it to, I personally won't be going there again

I tried the red rice and fish curry. Felt like eating my mom's food.

What a hidden gem in Grantham. Very reasonably priced, excellent food with some original dishes that I haven't seen before. The staff were lovely and more people should know about this cracking place

Fantastic and authentic Vegan masala dosa and chickpea curry. Only loses a star on atmosphere because it was early and I was eating alone for a while, but meant I had great service 👍🏻

We were pleasently surprised to find this lovely restaurant open at lunchtime, we had biryani. The food was delicious, the staff were very polite and excellent service. The menu had lotts of quality dishes to choose from and for those wanting to know, they also have a Christmas menu and a Christmas day menu with more seating upstairs which can be space for special parties and bookings. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would rate the restaurant highly. Its great to know there's a restaurant to go to that serves indian food as an eat in restaurant for lunch time. Beautiful decor and a lovely restaurant. Thank you

A lovely family run business serving authentic, beautiful and delicious Keralan cuisine. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and finger licking good Indian food. I will definitely return for more anytime when visiting Grantham! Their selection of vegan dishes was fantastic. Staff are beyond kind and friendly and well educated on vegan dishes!

Having been to the UK since a year, this is the first restaurant from where we had authentic Kerala food and our heart and tummy was full. We thoroughly enjoyed the Kerala porotta which was freshly made in the kitchen along with Chicken 65, beef roast and fish and mango curry. Everything tasted so good and we definitely recommend a fellow Keralite to try out this place as you will not regret it. Will definitely pay multiple visits again. Had multiple satisfying experiences. We had done both dine-in and take-away experiences in a row. Both the times, the quality of food reamined impeccable. The service and conduct of staff grab par excellent remarks from me and my family. The cuisine was both economical and extreamly delicious. The interiors of the hotel is designed in such way to reflect the cultural legacy of Grantham town. I affirmly reccomend this place for both take-way and dine-in.

We ordered take out for the the first time from this place this evening. I had been really looking forward to trying the food as had read such good reviews. Really disappointed! We had Lamb Rogan Josh which was so oily I had to drain it off. The Lamb itself was really chewy, mostly gristle. We ordered a peshwari naan and received a plain naan. The poppadom was broken up. Everything looked like it had been thrown into the bag with one of the sauces upside down that had leaked. On a positive note the mushroom rice was nice. I've never left a bad review for food before, but I'm afraid this warrants it. Sorry, but I most certainly will not be ordering from here again 😒

Such a beautiful meal. A menu that offers a little more than your average. The host was a great chap that was able to help with the options. The food was cooked with passion, tasty, fresh! I will be back.

Excellent as always - guaranteed great service and delicious authentic food from the South Indian state of Kerala (God's Own Country). We visited after 1.5 years on a trip to Grantham, and this time we had Chicken 65, Kerala Beef curry, Kerala Porota, fluffy dosa with chutney, curd rice, and tea. Everything tasted fresh and yummy! Would love to visit again whenever possible.

Ram is such a lovely host and this restaurant never fails to deliver . We have been going to leaf for a few years . Kerala beef and parotha is a must try.

We went there yesterday for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and were quite disappointed. It looked quite grubby with about 8 tables. The service was average, our table didn't get cleared up and I had to go up and settle the bill as no-one came around to attend to us. The food was average and the masala dosa was definately a massive let down. It felt like the chef was away as they were cancelling take away orders with only 3 of the 8 tables occupied. I wish they had just rang us and cancelled our table instead of serving us mediocre food, if this was the case.

The food was nice however the decor inside the restaurant is very unappealing and off putting as it is a cluttered mess of miss matched designs. The waitress was not the most helpful and didn’t have much knowledge of the menu and was slow to collect our dirty plates. There were not appropriate glassware for water, only wine glasses were available and the cutlery was layer in the wrong side.

Food was nice, but as a food business owner myself, what you shouldn’t do: -Give someone free poppadoms and then charge for them. -provide water, (for the customer to have one sip, realise its sparkling and leave 99% of it) and then charge them. -keep £4 change as a tip without customer consent. A shame really, penny pinching never works. Would have gave a tip other wise and would have left 5 star ………… My reply to your reply -> you’re a bare face liar. Glad we told the 3 women outside of your actions turnin them away 👍

Me and my girlfriend stopped for one night in Grantham to break up a long drive and chosen to eat here as we both love a curry. The food here was exceptional! We've eaten at alot of indian/curry places and even spent a couple months in India myself. All the food was really tasty and truly authentic, portion sizes perfect (for us anyway and we have healthy appetite) which one of the staff helped with and told us that it would be enough for us both rather than happily letting spend more money than we had to. Highly recommended

Delicious! Wonderful array of choices and fantastic flavours. Such kind hosts also to offer alternatives if certain things were unavailable at the time (and the alternatives were actually the highlight!). Will be going again to try out some of the other gorgeous dishes.

The trip adviser sticker on the window definitely made us want to try this place. Sadly, if it were up to me, that sticker shouldn't be there. The meal was very disappointing. I have dined in many Indian restaurants before but never in my life have I had coconut rice that was plain white rice mixed with coconut shreds (?) and roasted onions (?). Completely confusing and not appetizing at all I'm afraid. The shrimp dish I ordered, I asked for it to be mild, and as a result I received a dish that was completely tasteless... it wasn't mild, it had no spices at all. The rest of the food was OKish and truth be told we only ate the meal because we were super hungry and it wasn't repulsive. What I am saying is that it was very, very disappointing. Another 'weird' thing was that the dishes were served in plain white porcelain dishes not the more typical 'indian' copper/metal serving dish which makes the experience a bit more fun and 'authentic'. The place seemed clean though and the chef was very friendly. The lady serving us maybe too friendly...adding "my lovelies" to literally every sentence. A bit too much I'd say. Sorry, won't be coming back!

If you're reading this, I absolutely recommend that you go! The absolute best Indian restaurant I've been to. Completely authentic flavours and dishes, South Indian food at its finest. Ram and all the staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, helping us with food intolerances (gluten and dairy intolerant).

We had a really lovely time here , the food was amazing. Steph our waitress was super sweet and helpful , it was her second evening working here and she was brilliant, its so nice to see our younger ones being given the chance to work and they gave her great support... A great place to go to whether it's a special occasion or an evening out for a change . Its my favourite place , loved the food so much

Had some great food that isn't standard fare at other Indian restaurants. Can't fault the staff or the service, both were excellent. Only downside is the situation of the toilets but cannot be helped. All in all a lovely evening and would definitely return.

Just moved to the area and thought we’d try The Leaf Indian out with a delivery, as it seemed to have a very unique and authentic Indian menu. Both of us were really impressed. After years trying out various Indian restaurants in London, The Leaf blows a lot of them out of the water. Homemade pickle and savoury snacks to regional main dishes that tasted great - we had: Tadka Dahl Pumpkin Erissery Gobi Manchurian Chilly Idly Veg pickle Plain naan. The naan bread was the best takeaway naan bread we’ve ever had! We’d love to see this restaurant continue doing fantastic regional Indian dishes and more vegetarian options! We’ll be back again, for sure!! 👏🏼

We decided to try somewhere new for a special occasion, we spent more than what we would usually, and safe to say nobody was impressed. Some dishes were nice, some were bland, some weren't even delivered so we had to call them up again. We were offered a free meal for two to compensate, but no choice on the food or portions, so we refused. Extremely disappointed, and certainly not going back. Two stars is generous.
