We originally came in just for a quick drink to kill time before heading to the airport, but we ended up staying for hours! This is a wonderfully cozy spot near Victoria Station with great beer, friendly staff, and clean, welcoming facilities. For central London, the prices are exceptionally reasonable too. A fantastic bonus is the magical atmosphere, thanks to Marius and his mesmerizing magic tricks, which add a unique charm to the place. I really enjoyed my time here and can only recommend it!

We stopped at this restaurant because we heard they had the best fish and chips. And it did not disappoint. We loved it so much we went back again. The whole experience was topped off with Mario giving us a magic show.

Popped into a random bar for a quick coke and appletiser with my granson and the barman Marius performed some close magic and left us confused, happy and excited to come back again, great little gem of a find.

Had a corporate event at the Phoenix, a sit down lunch for 40+ people plus networking drinks. The staff were so attentive and made our event amazing thank you. We will definitely be back!

Traditional London pub down a back street near Victoria station🍻🍺 Friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Didn’t look at the food selection. The tables outside have QR codes to order to the tables. Toilets are upstairs which seem to have been refurbished as they are nice and clean.🍻 two ciders costed £13

Awful place. Not only they served the food over and hour later but waiting staff showed an attitude when asked about where the food was (they said there was a wait of 25 minutes, but we were served after 1:15 minutes). It is unacceptable to not admit to their mistake and when asked to respond back.

We were in London for a (American) football game-Vikings and stumble into the Phoenix Pub. I went to order our 1st round of drinks at the bar and was served by Marius. He was enjoyable and engaging from the get go. While pouring our pints he started with magic tricks. Tricks with cards and coins along with sleight of hand tricks. He even came over to our table to talk with us and make our meal there very memorable. The food was very good. Our table had the fish and chips, bangers and mash, scotch eggs, and a venison appetizer. Everything was wonderful! My wife raved about the chips. I HIGHLY recommend this pub if in London!!! Thank you Marius for the memories.

Went into the Phoenix for a bite and drinks. The bartender Marius was a hoot from the beginning. We really enjoyed his humor and had a great time in the Pub. Would highly recommend this place.

Amazing pub, the best fish and chips I've had in YEARS. Super quick service and very friendly staff Ylenia when out of her way to help us on multiple occasions. We had a dog, two children and and 4 adults. The manager was so helpful and welcoming, found us a gave us a dog water bowl, and colouring for the kids. Delicious hot coffee to warm up from our autumn cold and then really good portions and hot delicious food. Can't fault the place

Such a cute little pub close to Victoria tube station. I was recommended to come here by a friend and am so happy I visited. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking for a local/authentic vibe in central London!

I’m a regular here as it’s around the corner from my office. Went there for lunch on Wednesday this week and took guests who wanted fish and chips! When we got there the young Indian lad at the bar was very confusing as the dining room was closed and sent us around the houses to allow for our booking! however we had Paige serve us on the terrace and she was great, giving us options for bar or table service and overall made it a great experience! Will be back as usual.

OMG this place is busy!!! But the staff are ON IT and at a bar that was 4 deep, I was up to the front in no time!! Huge shout out Barry who was getting the beers out in rapid time and still smiling, despite the crowds! Lovely pint a of Proper Job Cornish Ale. Cheers 🙌🏼

Ordered their famous fish and chips, only to be served up a shrivelled up over fried burnt looking excuse for a fish. Glad that I won’t be going back again.

This is Great Hidden Gem, the food was really and the portion size very generous, I recommend the fish and chips or the Sunday Roast. I would definatley come back, the staff are very friendly, and if your visiting London I definatley recommend you stop off here, you wont be disapointed!

Could seriously be the best fish & chips I've eaten in London, the staff is kind, very helpful and amazing with childrens. The burger was amazing, so yummy.

Friendly place. Decent food. The steak pie was tasty. Good for kids. Our server, Marius, entertained the kids on and off for our visit. Very deft at sleight of hand with cards, coins, pens, etc. A lot of fun to watch. I think I enjoyed his little show more than my daughters.

Marius is a killer. You think you are in a nice London pub until you realize you being tricked by the most amazing magic stuff anywhere - all the while you are ordering black pudding and Guinness draft.

We have ordered Nicoise salad, Fish and Chips and sirloin steak for lunch. All are yummy but Fish and chips is our top-rated food here.

We were a group of 6 out for lunch. We had a lovely afternoon sitting in the small garden. Although there's also a roof terrace, which is nice. Alex was very attentive and served us our drink and food. As we're in our mid 70's this was really appreciated. We all enjoyed our drinks served with plenty of ice on a hot day. Our food was freshly cooked and very tasty pub grub. So thanks Alex for making our experience a good one.

By far one of our favorite things we did in London was go to The Phoenix! The fish and chips were amazing, the pub itself had a really neat, friendly vibe, and our servers were so nice! Marius even did some magic tricks for our kids while we waited for our food that they STILL talk about! Thanks for a wonderful first night to introduce us to the fabulous city.

Great family pub. Friendly. Safe. Nice decor. Modern. International cliente. There Monday 7pm lots of families with kids eating food. Would recommend if your in Victoria area.

Slightly less than mediocre pub with terrible staff. I have visited this pub on two occasions. The first time I was part of a group and we were all sitting on the terrace. We moved two chairs from the long table which was reserved from 1830. Seeing as it was only 4pm we didn't think this would be an issue. However, the staff were quick to a tell us to get off the chairs and put them back as they were reserved. And it wasn't just that they asked us to move; they were also quite rude. For the second visit (a work leavings drink), and knowing how busy the outside area can get, I made a reservation. When I arrived I was told that they "forgot to reserve my table." .....and literally nothing else. Not an apology, not an attempt to remedy. In fact the guy wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Which was quite awkward actually! I am generally the person who chooses where our company goes for its social events and I would never chose the Phoenix again. I quite like the barman / magician. He was cool. Just a shame about his team

I usually drop into the Buckingham Arms when in this area but because the Phoenix was less than an 12 year old’s shot put distance from my hotel I decided to darken their door. Glad, no thrilled I did. The lads behind the bar were excellent and the Cider was frigid on a bloody humid day. You can see by my included photos what I had for lunch. I can say without hesitation, if you are in the neighborhood that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you walked by without at least ordering a pint. Come here! Drink here! Eat here! I would have rated the atmosphere a 5 as well but I arrived early and I was one of very few day drinking. Fools! Retire early and day drink! I recommend that and the Phoenix! Top shelf.

Delicious food and an even better magic show! Steak and ale pie is amazing, fish and chips were fantastic, sausage roll is bangin, onion rings are fire, burrata beet and pesto app is incredible. 10 out of 10 recommend.

What a great find!! Let me say that the fish and chips were off the charts delicious!! Portion size was huge and every bite was oven hot until finished!! Fried perfectly too a golden brown, crispy and the fish was still juicy. The curry sauce was a great addition also! Well done Phoenix!! We also ordered the scotch egg which was different for us, but delicious. The burger was not that great for my boy but, we learned later that day that England forces all restaurants to cook burgers well done so, there was no hope of a good burger anyways. Atmosphere was great and drinks were cold. Definitely a must try when in London by the palace!!! Cheers!!!

Good atmosphere horrible service from the guy at the bar with the tattoo under his eye. Rudely would not answer a simple question about the menu. I ordered less food than I would’ve if he had politely answered. It was a simple question and the menu is not pub typical.

Me and my family just went in to have something to drink. And one of the bartenders showed my sons some magic tricks. We all had a really good time.
