I've been going here for 15 it's the only pub I'll visit. Friends, great staff who are all friends & the salt beef is delicious 🤤😋

Great friendly Irish bar. Great Guinness, great lunch time sandwiches, salt beef, ham etc.. Very friendly, competent and efficient staff.

Small but didn't get too crowded

Tiny little pub located just off Covent Garden. This intimate venue is known for the best Guinness outside kid Ireland. Friendly staff and service with more than 70 whiskeys on offer. Good selection of beers, but you'd want to try their Guinness! I don't think there is food served.

Never got a chance to go in. The guard on the door shook his head as soon as we locked eyes. I had a ridiculous hat on from Junkyard golf place we went to for Christmas due. I might have looked ridiculous but not scary. We got a drink anyway because one of the people I was with used to manage a pub there and knew the personnel. We had it outside.

Had the Christmas dinner set menu, all the courses were delicious

one of the best pubs in London. nice waiters, good Guinness and a good atmosphere. they also show sport events like the rugby world cup and similar.

Brilliant pub with a great atmosphere, a very varied choice of craft beers and lagers but it has to be the best pub in London for Guiness, absolutely outstanding.

Great Guinness. A queue of punters waiting outside for it to open speaks for itself. IMO the best pub in London.

Excellent Guinness, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Brilliant place with Brilliant staff

No music makes this place a gem or a boring old schooler I cant be sure. No kitchen, so dont expect any bar food besides the nuts. There are nice craft beers though. At the time of this review the IPAs were £7+ I guess all prices increased recently. Nothing more I can tell.

Usually the Guinness is top notch in the Coach & Horses, but it was a little below Par on last visit.

Stopped on to watch a game and it was a friendly atmosphere with a decent selection of beer and cider.

Petit bar très typique de Londres et de l’Angleterre servant des bières et des sandwichs. Les sandwichs sont fait maison et sur place avec de la viande de bonne qualité qui ne demande qu’à être dégustée. Le sandwich coûte tout de même 12£ ce qui est assez cher tout de même.

No construction workers allowed, place smelt like wet dog. Was full of woke people and tree huggers 👍

🚇Covent Garden 🍺 £5.80 Amstel ❤️ A welcoming family run Freehouse. . The Coach & Horses is located opposite the Royal Opera House in a quiet side street on the edge of Covent Garden. The nearest Tube is Covent Garden which is a four minute walk away. . The pub dates back to the 1730’s, the current building was built in the early 19th century. This pub has been run by the same Irish family for the last forty years. . This is a cosy one bar boozer that feels welcoming and homely. The servery is situated on the left hand side and has a sturdy solid dark wood counter. The bar area seating is all stools and poser tables which works well in this busy little pub. The pale green walls are adorned with photos of pub celebrations, claims to fame and black and white scenes of times gone by. This pub boasts a red carpet, the cornerstone of any top London boozer. . The beer selection was good and included lots of familiar favourites, two cask ales and of course Guinness. The Guinness here is well celebrated, so much so that The Irish Post once voted the Guinness here as the best in Britain. If you are partial to a short, there are over 70 Irish whiskeys and gins plus Scottish whiskies too. I was on the lager all day so I decided on an Amstel, my pint was excellent, well kept and price point was average. The food is basically sandwiches – but what excellent sandwiches they are. Hot sausages, salt beef, roast beef and baked ham are all served on your choice of bread with gherkins and crisps on the side. . We arrived just after 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the place was absolutely heaving. The atmosphere here was superb, the vibe was upbeat and buzzy. The crowd was a mix from all walks of life, the pub was as busy outside as in. The service was efficient, the team here were very much on the ball. . Stopped off for a quick drink passing through. As I was a Saturday afternoon it was very busy but didn't have to wait to get served. Staff do a good job considering the amount of people they are dealing with. Drink was good.

Hands down the best Guinness in London. A wonderful, honest and very cheerful boozer just off the Tourist trail in London. Will be going back very soon!

Cracking traditional pub, serving one of the best pints of Guinness in the city. Serves food at the bar which is always welcome to soak up a session or put down a layer. Highly recommend you drop in for a pint.

Being a fellow irishman myself, from Galway, i was delighted to see it headlined.. best pint of Guinness, irish theme etc.. maybe a little piece of home. Definitely not the case, it might be owned by Irish people and have irish memorabilia but I was absolutely disgusted by the way a couple was treated, usually if a song breaks out in an IRISH pub, everyone joins in, especially if it's "Happy Birthday" but NO, not here, they were approached by staff, told to be quiet, refused drinks and escorted by security to leave, not only did the people in question apologise and leave without provocation, they were refused an honest explanation, I later found out the men were military personnel and the women nurse's, (well manored, decent, hardworking professionals) who dedicate their lives in protecting and caring for their country and its citizens, maybe because the women were Asian and the men of irish parent's, "a question of racism" . I would also like to point out that the Guinness was dreadful, glass was clean with no tide marks and quickly turned sour with brown appearance, if the Irish Post proclaimed this as the best pint in London then someone was paid a pretty penny to announce it, clear lies, falsely advertised, biased and should not by all means mention IRISH, this is not our way, if you like to have the craic and enjoy porter avoid this place like the plague.

Pub never changes, been going there for 20 years or so. Still one of my favourite pubs.

We made a snap decision to go for food on a balmy June Tuesday night in Covent Garden and a sudden recollection that the Guiness Guru had reviewed the Coach & Horses 'chose' our pre dinner drinks venue!! They say dont meet your heroes, but the Coach & Horses didn't disappoint - great atmosphere, great service, and of course a very nice pint of Guiness. Sadly, we had to leave before 2 pints became a full-on session. Thoroughly recommended

Just witnessed the most un desirable racism by your doorman..I was outside next door at Boulevard when a people carrier pulled up with an Irish family including a man in a wheelchair who were refused entry because they were trouble before..It was at this point I stepped in and asked the doorman what his problem was and he replied .its there KIND..consider ing they have never been there before as they live in Milton Keynes and are here on a break..they simply Google d..where is the best pint of Guinness and were directed to your bar..after a shopping at Harrods ..they were extremely polite..asked for the manager and repeatedly told NO..I have never witnessed such shocking RASISM in my life..In the end at 5.30 pm the two gentlemen were admitted but the other female s had to remain outside to which we offered them our seats..APPALLING BEHAVIOUR for a pub..so hoping a media source can pick up this behaviour as it never happens again

Thank you. Every time I visit The Coach and Horses the Guiness is great. Why can’t all pubs be like the Coach and Horses i.e. apply the pride, care, and attention required to serve a decent pint.

Came here by chance on a day trip. Looked up the reviews and saw that the Guinness was highly rated so had to try. One word.... WOW! Easily the best pint of Guinness I've had since I went to Dublin about 7 years ago. The pub is small amd has limited seating but don't let that put you off. A proper old school London boozer. Top marks 👍

Came for a pint and was turned away for no reason. Guess my party just didn’t look right. No thanks, won’t come to a place that discriminates.

Travelled over 2 hours to try a pint of Guinness at this pub, for the doorman to refuse entry to a group of 3 people. Stating that they don’t allow groups into this pub? So in that case everyone inside of that pub is alone. Absolutely awful experience waste of time, do not visit!

Popped in for a drink on an early Sunday afternoon and the pub was already busy. The 2 bar staff as well as the man on the door were all very friendly. I don't drink Guinness so can't comment on the best pint in London but the ale I did have was in great condition. Very varied selection of people drinking for all ages, was nice to see. Great real pub atmosphere.

Nice pub slightly off the the main area of Covent Garden. Apparently the best Guinness but not that amazing. Comparable to other places. Pub is lovely though.
