Easily the best Sports Bar in London if you’re looking for a good atmosphere, kind and caring staff and some of the best food this side of the Thames. Wonderful interior and plenty of screens

Awesome find near our hotel. We tried their Irish beer, apple sparkling drink, fish & chips, and meat pie. Everything were excellent. The staff were casual and friendly. This can get crowded at night especially on weekends. Highly recommend!

Llegué, tomé una copa abajo. El bar de abajo estaba lleno de gente y ruidoso, pero está bien con eso, antes de subir a una mesa reservada previamente. Arriba - muy tranquilo, ambiente relajado, diferente al bar de abajo. Entonces... . se dio cuenta, después de un tiempo (no - nadie nos ofreció un menú) ... . . sin personal de espera, requerido para ordenar a través de un código QR. Amaneció en nosotros habría poco cuidado o atención en una cocina con poco personal, así que se dio por vencido y se fue sin ordenar. Este tipo de proceso puede estar bien para una bebida rápida y un bocado, pero esto fue una reunión para viejos amigos - unas cervezas y comida en una noche de fiesta. No cortó la mostaza. ¿No debería la hospitalidad ser hospitalaria? No volverá.

Loved the fish and chips! This is a lively sports pub that’s great for catching a game. If it gets busy downstairs, there’s another cute bar upstairs. Definitely recommend 👍🏼

Came in with a few friends for some lunch and a few drinks. Pub has such a lovely atmosphere, amazing staff and tasty food. Shout out to Stevie, who was just the best, she was so bubbly and friendly and really added to our experience.

very nice pub in a great location big variety of drinks nice selection of food and snacks as well all the staff were very friendly and nice even it was pretty busy when i arrived place has 2 floors with more seating options pretty pricey but fair for the location and neatness realllly busy on thursdays so beware, reserve a spot if you want to be sure also plays a few football matches at once which is great had great fun and it’s always a pleasure to come back

Fabulous cottage pie (and superbly cooked broccoli). Also good music (70s). Just was needed at 3pm on a Monday after 4 hours in the queue at the visa office.

As always a great day at the Albion. One small moan - one of the door closure's needs to be fixed to stop everyone leaving the door open.

I had a very pleasant experience here with my 12-year-old son. As visitors to the city, we wanted to have lunch at a pub near the Tate Modern that would be showing sports on the screens. The staff responded to my email straight away and made the booking. The service on site was equally good, as was the food. Although sports matches were indeed being broadcast on the screens, the atmosphere was very family-friendly, and among the patrons there were several families with young children, even babies.

Watched All Blacks v Italy in this local pub. Excellent service, good atmosphere, excellent menu superior to any pub I’ve tried previously, plenty of GF options. Highly recommended. Good sized screens for sporting events.

We had an event for ~50+ people at the Albion. I must say I was extremely pleased with the experience. Matt and his team are amazing hosts- the service, food & drinks was brilliant as well. We're definitely considering Albion for our next events & it is a good pub for a quick pint too. Thanks guys for hosting us!

Booked this pub for a rugby match. First time there & will definitely be back. Had a table upstairs & it was perfect. Really nice food too & good service.

Great fun here. Loved the upstairs as it was quiet and easy to "talk all night." Steak was amazing!

Stayed close by on a trip to London and I was fortunate enough to be able to stop by the Albion a few times. The pub had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Been there during the first weekend of Sept. 2024 while on a "romantic extended-weekend getaway" We had a great time enjoying their food (fish & chips and fried bites were awesome) as well as the tap beer of course, *and* the crowd ! Got to meet very friendly people hanging out there, including staff (*) - the whole mix of the above-mentioned ingredients definitely turned our night out into a great memory ! Will definitely go pay a visit next times we're in London. (*) if you read this and stop by the Albion to try it for yourself ; please look around and find the viking-looking guy behind the bar → here's a secret code for you to tell him : [Mom I missed the plane again]. ;)

First day reopened. Still bits of work going on. A bit more clinical than before but not jaw dropping. Barman was friendly and efficient. Not a fan of the Youngs but that's purely personal preference. Kept the sports screen which is a big plus in my book. Fondish memories of watching the 2023 Ashes in here.

A nice friendly pub, and an ideal place for a drink because it's right next door to a very good Indian restaurant.

Had my work farewell event for around 30 ppl on a thurs night, amazing atmosphere and spacious! Lighting and music were perfect and didn’t interfere with the conversations. Communication over email with the staff was very smooth and pleasant as well!

Fantastic pub if you want to watch sport and have a delicious pub meal. They show the AFL, Soccer (Football), Rugby and others. We watched the Euros here twice. Food was very high quality and the prices were reasonable.

Watched football there, great atmosphere, the waiters and bar people were super friendly and quick even when the pub was very full. It was a really great English pub experience, highly recommended

I came with some friends to watch the F1 this weekend and had a lovely day. The staff were kind and friendly and the food was great (highly recommend the fish and chips)! Also a plus - the pub is dog friendly!! Would totally come back!

I've watched a UCL match there. Food was great, service is perfect, very friendly staff. However, I have a suggestion. If they can change upstairs TV with bigger ones it will be great. Edit: since TV will be changed this summer I put 5 stars instead of 4.

As a regular commuter to/from City Thameslink, I’ve seen this pub for many years but never popped in before today (April 2024). More of a sports bar than I expected, with large screens on two levels. Nevertheless, an attractive space with light wood flooring and surroundings. A large selection of craft beers and lagers available, also Young’s and Adnams cask ales. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There are very few pubs in the area with space out front, and it quickly filled up with after work drinkers. I’m not a fan of pubs dominated by sports screens but they serve a purpose. I will, however, return for a quick after work beer or two before matches start.

I booked The Albion specifically for the Champions League game. Real Madrid and Manchester City was on but I went there for Bayern v Arsenal game as a lone Bayern in there😮‍💨. TV screens on both floors. Good atmosphere. I will be going there for another Bayern game😉. My table was upstairs and uneven and I ended up spilling both drinks. My only complaint will being asked to order from an app for drinks or else the wait can be long if it’s packed.

Great Christmas party in the upstairs room at the Albion! They sorted everything for us from arrival drinks to food platters at a specified time! Can’t fault Sam and Roman the bartenders that kept the baby Guinness flowing all night :)

The Albion managed to accommodate our large Christmas party at the last minute. The atmosphere was great and a really nice venue upstairs to eat in. Considering it was a very busy time for them, they handled it well and service was good. The food was great, good wholesome pub food, everybody certainly enjoyed it. Maybe a couple more dessert options would have been nice but otherwise 100% would definitely recommend this place and would certainly go back.

Was alright. Not the greatest beer selection. UPDATE. I agree there is a decent selection of different tapped beers and ciders, I would like to stress that I am more referring to guest ales like Sours, Stouts etc from small brewers rather than from the big national breweries. So have updated my review to reflect this.

A central pub with a small outdoor area with heaters. It's quite popular with the office workers around the area. Aside from the standard taps selection, they offer a range of typical pub food: fish and chips, burger, chicken wings, the likes. The food is quite nice but quite expensive 💸. It certainly is a valid Friday boozy lunch option. Pictured is the 1kg chicken wings plate. The sofa spots are good, if you can get them.

Quite place, strong smell of chips and vinegar (which is typical for a London pub) food was ok. Music was nice. Overall nice place to have couple of 🍺🍺🍺🍺.

Why does a pub allow a young woman in a party of three to cause so much noise and mayhem through intoxication? You’re not supposed to just keep on selling to someone who’s drunk! The only respite we got was when she fell to the floor, sadly to arise again. Awful experience.

Great experience, all round. The booking was managed really well and the response time was always rapid, even when I emailed on the day to make a slight change. We went to watch the rugby world cup final. The bar staff upstairs were excellent! We also ordered the Buffalo wings (up there with the best wings in town, and massive too) and the sliders (great flavor and perfect size). All in all, a great night! The staff and food quality made it even better. Cheers guys!

Pub bem mais ou menos… preços nada convidativos. Cerveja ok. Fish and chips beeem fraco. Batata parece q foi frita na gordura do peixe. Peixe muito fino e nada suculento. Além disso, o pub oferece reservas on-line, mas não confirma a reserva. Recebi uma mensagem dizendo que em pouco tempo eu receberia uma resposta acerca da minha reserva. Estou esperando até agora! Acabei desistindo de esperar a confirmação e fui para o pub mesmo assim… melhor se não tivesse ido…

Had my leaving drinks here for 25 people on 28/09/23. Incredible service from start to finish and a really great atmosphere. Huge thanks to all the bar team working that night. Really appreciated all their hard work and friendliness. Barely any wait to be served at the bar and it was a really fun night!

We were unfortunate that there were no platters available from the food menu which made food choices for our group very limited.

Tried to order food 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and didn’t let me. That is the point of having a closing time if you don’t even bother to respect it? Will avoid coming here next time.

Needed to find somewhere to view Lionesses world cup final. I'd emailed to book a table but dropped in to this small pub a couple of days before to see where we could sit for a good view; Ana couldn't have been more helpful, even though most of the place was already pre-booked. On the day, staff were pleasant and helpful. Food menu isn't extensive but all food was hot, generous portions and well-cooked. A very pleasant, old fashioned city pub.

Went to watch the Matilda’s vs Lionesses game. So easy to book, great atmosphere. Great food!

It is an okay pub. It was a shame they weren't showing the rugby as advertised, but the manager was nice and offered us a free drink to show his sympathy.

A really pleasant pub atmosphere just over the road from Blackfriars station. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of good beers to choose from. Food was as you’d expect from a pub. Nothing too fancy but was tasty and hit the spot. Exactly the sort of place I needed to rest after a long day travelling.
