We went for dinner and had fish and chips and the hot dog, both were great, ordering on the app works well too

Close to the metro exit, the food was excellent, the pudding was very delicious! Unfortunately we had a bad time with the girl at the checkout.

Booked a large table to see the six nations with friends. Great venue with decent screens and good beer. Well worth going.

The Albion managed to accommodate our large Christmas party at the last minute. The atmosphere was great and a really nice venue upstairs to eat in. Considering it was a very busy time for them, they handled it well and service was good. The food was great, good wholesome pub food, everybody certainly enjoyed it. Maybe a couple more dessert options would have been nice but otherwise 100% would definitely recommend this place and would certainly go back.

Great Christmas party in the upstairs room at the Albion! They sorted everything for us from arrival drinks to food platters at a specified time! Can’t fault Sam and Roman the bartenders that kept the baby Guinness flowing all night :)

Was alright. Not the greatest beer selection. UPDATE. I agree there is a decent selection of different tapped beers and ciders, I would like to stress that I am more referring to guest ales like Sours, Stouts etc from small brewers rather than from the big national breweries. So have updated my review to reflect this.

A central pub with a small outdoor area with heaters. It's quite popular with the office workers around the area. Aside from the standard taps selection, they offer a range of typical pub food: fish and chips, burger, chicken wings, the likes. The food is quite nice but quite expensive 💸. It certainly is a valid Friday boozy lunch option. Pictured is the 1kg chicken wings plate. The sofa spots are good, if you can get them.

Quite place, strong smell of chips and vinegar (which is typical for a London pub) food was ok. Music was nice. Overall nice place to have couple of 🍺🍺🍺🍺.

Why does a pub allow a young woman in a party of three to cause so much noise and mayhem through intoxication? You’re not supposed to just keep on selling to someone who’s drunk! The only respite we got was when she fell to the floor, sadly to arise again. Awful experience.

Great experience, all round. The booking was managed really well and the response time was always rapid, even when I emailed on the day to make a slight change. We went to watch the rugby world cup final. The bar staff upstairs were excellent! We also ordered the Buffalo wings (up there with the best wings in town, and massive too) and the sliders (great flavor and perfect size). All in all, a great night! The staff and food quality made it even better. Cheers guys!

Pub bem mais ou menos… preços nada convidativos. Cerveja ok. Fish and chips beeem fraco. Batata parece q foi frita na gordura do peixe. Peixe muito fino e nada suculento. Além disso, o pub oferece reservas on-line, mas não confirma a reserva. Recebi uma mensagem dizendo que em pouco tempo eu receberia uma resposta acerca da minha reserva. Estou esperando até agora! Acabei desistindo de esperar a confirmação e fui para o pub mesmo assim… melhor se não tivesse ido…

Had my leaving drinks here for 25 people on 28/09/23. Incredible service from start to finish and a really great atmosphere. Huge thanks to all the bar team working that night. Really appreciated all their hard work and friendliness. Barely any wait to be served at the bar and it was a really fun night!

We were unfortunate that there were no platters available from the food menu which made food choices for our group very limited.

Tried to order food 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and didn’t let me. That is the point of having a closing time if you don’t even bother to respect it? Will avoid coming here next time.

Needed to find somewhere to view Lionesses world cup final. I'd emailed to book a table but dropped in to this small pub a couple of days before to see where we could sit for a good view; Ana couldn't have been more helpful, even though most of the place was already pre-booked. On the day, staff were pleasant and helpful. Food menu isn't extensive but all food was hot, generous portions and well-cooked. A very pleasant, old fashioned city pub.

Went to watch the Matilda’s vs Lionesses game. So easy to book, great atmosphere. Great food!

It is an okay pub. It was a shame they weren't showing the rugby as advertised, but the manager was nice and offered us a free drink to show his sympathy.

A really pleasant pub atmosphere just over the road from Blackfriars station. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of good beers to choose from. Food was as you’d expect from a pub. Nothing too fancy but was tasty and hit the spot. Exactly the sort of place I needed to rest after a long day travelling.

Unbelievable DISGUSTING customer service!!!!!! This pub prefers only to cater to the locals and then thumb down, make fun of tourists like us that happened to walk in to this establishment to give them business! When something as a misunderstanding as trying to order a particular beer, only to get made fun of (and we caught on to their narcissism) instead of helping us out being polite and explaining to us how things are run and done! We could have visited any country in the world, but decided to come to the United Kingdom and this being our first night in town, and getting treated like this??? Absolutely humiliating and unacceptable. Never EVER again!

This is our go-to pub for fútbol games, usually we come here on weekdays for the champions league. The atmosphere is friendly, beer is excellent and the 2nd floor is great if you want to book a table and watch along friends

Friendly attentive staff. Good food. We booked and got a table in the bar not the up upstairs seating area, a little boisterous as four tv's and lots of football fans. Didn't do malibu!. Would use again.

One of the best places in the area to catch a football match. The small enviorment creates an electric enviroment for whatever team is playing. The fish and chips were quality. The bathrooms on the other hand were some of the worst I have seen in the city.

Nice sports bar, we caught a game, shared some beer. The kitchen was open on a Sunday until 18.00, but we managed to catch it in time.

Nice clean bar latish on Good Friday. Not many people about but they had football and golf on TV. The staff were very friendly and accommodating- very happy for me to wonder about the place, even upstairs. The Guinness was excellent as was the Young's Special.

As a pub goes it was passable. The service was quite good but the food was dreadful. Do not go for the bangers and mash, more lumps than school custard.

Vi var fire, der delte deres share-menu med 6 sliders og pommefritter. Smagte godt 🤗Her kommer mange lokale og vi var måske de eneste turister. Dejlig afslappet stemning i det fede publokale. Relativt lille sted. Men de har også et lokale mere ovenpå, der dog ikke var åbent da vi var der. Eneste minus, der lugter ikke særlig godt.

I would not go back there agin after last night's experience. They ran out of bitter, would you believe?! Like a butcher's running out of meat. Also we ordered their burger. It took over 30 minutes to arrive. When it did, both the burger and fies were very cold, suggesting they had been waiting their for a while. Avoid!

Great pub! Cheerful, welcoming staff, smashing atmosphere for the games and a clearly well kept pint. I really appreciated the jalapeños on the Mac and cheese too, I look forward to eating more next time I’m here. My pub of choice out of all of them in the area.

Good Guiness and good customer service. The only issue was the toilet, broken seats and someone had broken the mirrors (non on the wall).

A good safe place to meet up with your friends, just about everything you need to drink. Not a quiet pub more of a shouting celebration place but that suits me.

When you go out to the pub when it's snowy,you expect to have mulled wine/hot gin/some cozy drinks. They had none of those,and I wasn't the only one asking. Except that,nice place! Great location and pretty quiet during week days

Overall, the experience was pleasant. We booked a table to enjoy the footy over some food and drinks. The vibe was good and there were ample screens to watch the World Cup on. The food was delicious, but we did order a kg of chicken wings for the table only for about 6 to arrive and the waitress confirming this was correct. £26 for 6 chicken wings, really? Anyway, around 20 minutes later the waitress came back and confirmed that in fact the kitchen had got it wrong, and they were sending over some more chicken. For good measure she also threw in a free bucket of fries which was a nice gesture. Drinks were ordered with ease and the waitress that replaced one of the G&T's we ordered was really friendly and helpful. One waitress wasn't very welcoming, she wasn't as polite as main waitress who tended to us. My only other issue was that the lemonade dispenser was flat and tasted awful. For the most part we enjoyed our evening.

Nice small pub good selection of beers, ciders, spirits and wines. Friendly staff classic pub decor with high tables and stools. it’s a bit hidden by it’s location on the high street but worth a visit if your in the area

Went in here for an evening meal after the theatre as it was close to our hotel. Managed to book online and check for wheelchair access. Great service, friendly staff and fab food! If requiring access to the toilet these are via stairs, so no good for wheelchair users.

Totally disinterested staff, a mysteriously closed kitchen at 5pm on a Sunday (seems like a pub kitchen should be open on sundays) and somehow it was bereft of even crisps. In the end paid 18.40 for two pints and two packets of nuts, which I presume were the last nuts on earth and so constituted rare jewels. Combined it all amounts to a pretty rubbish pub, surrounded by ones that are vastly superior.

Booked The Albion for a Sunday lunch catch up with friends and it was great. Good beer selection, classic pub food done well and the bar staff were great. We had a group of 15 with 5 toddlers and it was no stress at all.

The staff were friendly but the food service was quite slow, and that's half of why I wouldn't order food here again. Usually I'm happy to pay more as Youngs menus have always been really nice but this was an exception the rule. When you're paying £15+ for a burger and the quality is closer to a Wetherspoons. It's probably not worth going for more than a drink.

After a frankly disappointing meal in the Indian City next door, this great little pub restored my spirits (in every way). Very friendly lady behind the bar (and clearly like me a Liverpool fan!). I was able to enjoy a drink and watch my team score three great goals which were appreciated by the crowd in the bar. Wish I had dined here, I reckon it would have been both cheaper and better. If you are staying in the Premier Inn down the road, this is a great little place to catch up on life's essentials.

Came in here to watch the football with my partner and it was great! Staff are lovely and welcoming, food was on point! (Highly recommend the ox cheek hash browns) - super cosy, definitely coming back.
