Tuvimos una Navidad de equipo juntos en el Pheonix. Llegamos directamente del trabajo y disfrutamos de hamburguesas y la abundante selección de bebidas que se ofrecen. Fue un gran entorno relajado con un montón de opciones de comida y bebidas para elegir. El frente del equipo de la casa era acogedor, amable y no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros. Gracias por una gran noche - volveremos de nuevo!

Brilliant pub close to cabot circus. I love the beers here and the cool courtyard garden. Our fav place for afterwork drinks.

One of my fave pubs in Bristol. Handy location, great outdoor space with plenty of heaters in the winter, great service and usually you'll find a table. Food is ok, but nothing to shout home about.

We stumbled into the pub by chance and were very pleased. We had burgers and super tasty mozzarella sticks.

Although we had a long wait for our roast dinners due to a couple of large groups who arrived just before us, it was well worth the wait. The food, as usual, was amazing. Highly recommended. Good beer too.

DJ set was great fun. Lots of dancing. But the management really could do with improving the PA. The sound quality was poor.

Stopped in on the off chance just for a beer and some chips. Friendly staff, great service and the best chips I've ever had.

Lovely pub near to Cabot circus with plenty of in and outdoor space. Friendly staff, great cocktails (and offers!) and pop up food options.

Cool venue set in a really old building, proper deck set up and a massive beer garden, 0% alcohol beer on tap as well. The staff were very friendly!

A solid burger and some good cold brews on tap. The bartender with the Jamaica shirt was lovely.

Went in for a beer on a nice Saturday afternoon, sat in the garden, very chilled with nice music.

Nice cocktails (old review was five star) been coming here a lot got told by the two female bar staff they didnt know how to make a lychee martini so they cant help us with that...they ever heard of cheat sheets? rude she couldnt be bothered

Nice beer, friendly staff well worth a visit.

The cask ales on offer were W&T Kaleidescope and Arbor Mosaic. Both of these beers although reasonably well priced tasted like active effluent.

Pop in every now and again when in town it's nice to sit down for a pint and some good food and always good service.

Nice and chilled place. The prices are similar like everywhere in Bristol, not too cheap, but not too expensive too. Good selection of drinks, chilled atmosphere and nice bar staff.

Bangin roast on Sundays for £13, really nice staff and lovely pub garden! I got the nut roast.

The food is SO NICE!! I wouldn't recommend anything because it's all great! The roast was so good for the price. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is great.

Popped in on Friday for a couple of beers, unfortunately ended up walking out and finding somewhere else to drink. 3 members of staff far more interested in chatting, rather than serving !! I could understand it if the place was busy but there were only two people at the bar waiting. Happy to say I won’t be returning. Ended up in the Volunteer Tavern and couldn’t have been happier!!

What are the holes in the wall for?

Came here for Sunday roast and some pints, they took a big group of us on short notice. Amazing service, can’t fault it, all the staff are lovely, food was banging and at a good price too. Proper nice gaff :-)

Rude staff, specifically the owner. Would rather see us litter in the street. Between the group we spent about £150 here. Edit: Yeah feel free to “spread our pictures around”. We will continue to spread how rude you were. Our friends were drinking cans on the way to the pub and I guess we should’ve littered them right outside the door. Keep treating your customers disrespectfully 👍🏻

Really good find, food was lovely and the service was great. Definitely recommend it particularly if staying near Cabot Circus because it's only a few steps away and much nicer than the chains.

10 out of 10!! Best roast i have for a long long time. Love the freshness and homemade style and cant believe how reasonablely priced it was. Def highly recommended when you visiting Cabot Circus.

Love the pub, food is terrible. Had the margarita and the aubergine & feta pizzas and they were both tasteless and bland. We both also had a funny tummy the next day, which was due to the pizzas.

Delicious Vegetarian Sunday lunch. Cauliflower cheese side was yummy and great service. Highly recommend

Lovely staff, awful management!!! Went for food with my 15 year old daughter. Clearly 15 and not drinking alcohol, however, management came and checked constantly that she wasn’t drinking alcohol while we were eating. We were there 30 mins and they literally came up to our table or were looking and pointing at us at least 6 times! Very uncomfortable experience, especially as we are not from the city. Ate and left in a hurry. Very disappointed. If the venue does not cater for under 18’s this should be specified when we walked in, and we should not have been made to feel uncomfortable. We spoke to staff as we came in, so they were well aware we had a minor with us!! Completely rude. The blonde lady on the bar was lovely, however our overall experience was very uncomfortable. For a 15 year old to be constantly stared at by management is disgusting!

Best roast I’ve ever paid for. Great traditional pub. Great location next to our hotel. Everything you could wish for .😍 oh blimey. Just had Sticky Toffee Pudding to finish. Heaven 🥰

Got here at 20:52 and the woman behind the bar was lovely and checked with the chef if he'd still make us food as they finished serving at 21:00 and he did. All 3 of us had the Wednesday burger meal deal, a burger and a pint for £13.50 and it was delicious. I'm not a pickled Cabbage fan but it added a nice sweet element, the burger was cooked nicely, not dry at all and you get a good portion for what you pay. We thought it was going to be quite a small place but as you go through the back it opens up and there is a huge outside area. The music was also at the perfect volume so it didn't prevent conversation. Fantastic place, good food, lovely staff. Would definitely return.

Good value drinks and good atmosphere!

Ignorance is bold. I went today to this pub with some friends and my son of three years old . After few minutes there the waitress decided to give me an advise of how my son should behave in the garden of the pub , he decided that my son should be seating on the table and no playing around , all of this cover under a 'fake H&s speech ', like if a kid playing is more dangerous than a drunk customer. My son has special needs and I felt i need to explain that to the waitress to not be judge ... how ridiculous is that ...next time they should be put a sign : No friendly kids / inclusion is no permitted in this premises. Worst experience of my life, and I hope last time someone judge my son for how he expressed himself.

Really great Sunday lunch .it’s improved a lot over the past year. The lunch plate changed about a year ago and the cabbage was terrible at the beginning (too strong of a “burnt” taste) but they have got the balance of the mustard seeds really well and the cabbage is really good now. The potatoes are crispy and the sweet red cabbage is beautiful. Yorkshire is fabulous and the gravy tops it all. Disappointing that there’s no turnip mash anymore but the overall lunch is honestly one worth experiencing. Meat is always good and although there is fat on the pork they add crackling pieces on top of the overall dish which is the best. I’ve had Sunday lunch at quite a few places (being someone from outside of England its been an intentional action to find a good Sunday roast place) and honestly the phoenix is the best. Pity they don’t sell roasts during summer but nonetheless I’ll be there on the first week of September when the start selling it again. I’m at the phoenix most Sundays because the lunch is honestly amazing.

Definitely highly recommend going on a Sunday for their roasts. Ordered the pork and hands down, one of my favourite roasts out there. The meat was tender, and their Yorkshire pudding plus gravy combo was heavenly. The atmosphere was decent the Sunday I went considering the weather, but was also there the Friday before and it was definitely more lively and fun. All and all, really great place to go for any occasions. Also, really love the interior decor. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Great pub with a great selection of drinks and food. There are daily meal deal offers. Had the burger deal on Wednesday. A burger and a pint for 12.50, awesome burger and value for money. The jalapeno poppers were great too!

One member of the bar team was rude, arrogant and unkind. It’s a shame because the food and atmosphere were decent, but will not be going back after that experience.

Went to DYTM with a mate and Jamie and the bouncer were possibly two of the nicest staff members I've ever met. We didn't buy tickets so had to come back later but they remembered us and gave us great recommendations for were to go while we waited. Ended up having a great night and honestly can't remember ever having such genuine and lovely staff. Thanks so much to both of you for your heartwarming and ineffable hospitality. Will definitely be returning ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Lush Sunday roast & great option for vegetarians!

I happened to walk into this amazing hidden little gem of a place that looks like something you would find in a trendy London hip place Had the most amazing burger Jacks Maple Burger £13.50 It was the most succulent tastiest hand made beef with crispy maple bacon and Monterey Jack fried onions tomato lollo Rosso and barbecue mayo Not only did I nearly die and go to heaven but the burger didn’t fall apart and no sauces dripping everywhere either, while I took my last bites and was trying to compare it with something I had in New York City But really .,, this one was the perfect size and not too much of anything but just full of delicious and tasty beef with that heightened flavour of sweet bacon melting in your mouth I washed it down with a second pint of Bira Moretti What an incredibly lovely pub this is which a huge garden and such a great vibe of people all ages and the staff are the best I’ve ever met actually Thank you Phoenix Pub What sn absolute delight I will definitely be back with my friends and family

I come here for Sunday roast a lot. Nice roast and great price, stuffs are really helpful and nice, and it’s very dog friendly pub. Owner and their dog are very welcoming and cute. Also a nice place for a pint after work. Love the garden as well, looking forward to the summer time :)

Went yesterday with a few colleagues and will not be going back. The owners dog was very unfriendly towards our dog and slightly aggressive. This man (I believe he was the owners boyfriend) was EXTREMELY horrible to our dog (a scared kind nervous rescue who wouldn't hurt a fly), and was in his face shooing him away. We asked him to not treat our dog like that to which he responded very nastily, got in our faces (two young women), pointing his finger about how it is the owners dog and can do what it wants and we are just like our dog? Along with a few other things. Got to the point we left back to the garden, a couple who saw the whole ordeal left and said they are long standing customers and won't be returning after that. We also will not be returning. The bartender came out and apologised about how the man was treating us, said it shouldn't have happened but can we keep our dog on the lead next time (fair enough) but the owners dog will not be on the lead (even though it was aggressive). Not a nice place and I would urge everyone to not visit, much nicer pubs around with friendly staff who handle situations much nicer.

Nice location and space. Food and drinks were very good. Strangely with many waiters around one needs to go to the bar to order, pay in advance and serve himself.

For £12/£13 you are unlikely to get a better roast in Bristol, particularly so close to the centre. Fantastic service too!

I don’t normally leave reviews but have been compelled since having a roast in the Phoenix today. I was in Bristol from London for the day and happened to go here by chance. It was honestly one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had and the value for money was incredible. Absolutely loved it and for £12 you can’t go wrong!! Would recommend a thousand times over. Thank you - the range of veg that come with it is unbeatable.

As it comes time for me to leave the area after a couple years, I can honestly say this is the best God damn local I've ever had. There's plenty of space inside and out. Good selection of brews and AMAZING BAR FOOOD!!!! But one thing stands above all the greatness... The people (and pup) who run and operate the place. No matter what mood your in you'll always leave the bar feeling great. Hard days and happy days get better with every nugget of small talk. I hope I'll be back soon but if I'm not, im gonna miss you guys. Keep being awesome!
