. Food came within the hour and was hot. We tried here for the first time the other week, the egg fried rice was the best we had ever had, the chicken balls were slightly overcooked but still tasty. Currey sauce was a bit on the thin side but tasty, the crispy beef with garlic and chilli in sauce was to die for. Will definitely order again

STAY AWAY FROM THESE RESTAURANT ! ! ! WORST Chinese restaurant in my life !!! I ordered takeout Chicken Fried Rice I was hungry so I asked how much a portion weighed , the woman said 650 grams I decided to buy. When I got home, I weighed the portions out of curiosity Imagine my surprise - the portion with the packaging weighs 536 grams only. Without thinking, I get into the car and take back the still warm portions with a complaint. I asked for my money back and showed a picture of the scale. The seller states that they always give such portions , so why they tricked me and said 650 grams ???? If I had known it was such a small portion, I would never have bought it !!!! They grimly tossed the money onto the table for me ! No word that they're sorry, that they're apologizing - NOTHING !!! This is cheating customers, not business !!! Restaurants like this should be closed !!! NEVER AGAIN !!!!!

Ordered vegetable spring rolls, once I got home and had taken a bite, noticed they were contained meat. Salt and pepper fries over cooked. Lady who served was rude. Won’t be returning.

The worst chinnese food ever. The chicken in the curry was badly pink,the chips were still frozen but hot. when I spoke to the shop he said its because his had to go with new suppliers but don't do refunds 🤣

Gutted! been ordering the Singapore chow mein from here for over 15 yrs! it's always been amazing but not anymore unfortunately. Asked for it extra hot as usual but it only had a hint of spice in it. There was also scrambled egg througout it which I've never had before, very weird! not impressed at all.

Ordered 2 Singapore chew mein chicken curry and chips .. chew mein was dry and tasteless lacking in meat just bits of,chicken curry yuk.looked like baby poo ..I don’t even think it was chicken and full of onions to bulk it up. The chips were disgusting dry and definitely cold then warmed up in the microwave to send out .. my son and partner said it’s the worst curry they have ever had. I won’t be using them again

Ordered my food tonight and the man has got my order wrong. I rang up to explain something was wrong and got spoken to like rubbish. I was told that this was my problem. They said they do not do salt and pepper chicken so sent me sweet and sour chicken, they are completely different. I'm a regular customer or shall I say was and this is how they treat you. Disgusting. An apology for the mistake may have been nice atleast.

Meat was off and when my husband went to complain the man was rude we will never buy from there again. Changed since change of management meat vile and poor customer service no apologies !!!

Sorry, but, not impressed. I had a vegetable curry with boiled rice. Very boring, mostly sauce and very tasteless. Had many vegetable curries in my time, none as tasteless as this. All I can say is that it was edible. Disappointed. Sorry.

Our go to options: Chicken fried rice, Singapore noodles, garlic chilli prawns, curry sauce & mixed veg, costs with delivery approx £32 but huge portions and very tasty. The prawns are so moreish and the chicken fried rice tastes amazing even cold the next day!

This is the only Chinese take away we use...the service we receive is second to none.We have nothing but praise, we have tried the rest locally, n this is truly the best.

(Used) weekly £50 a week orders each time ! fault after fault last one was bad enough so thought one last chance ..and wish I didn't bother the attitude stinks puts the phone down ... Lost a good customer

Parking isn't too bad in the evenings and can not fault the food, very welcoming when entering the fast food shop.

Was so rude over the phone when I asked what was happening to the 3 items that weren’t delivered in my order and weather they would be Able to deliver them then she ended the phone even when I tried to call back

Will not be ordering again. Food turned up half an hour late, was cold and arrived in a pizza box. The food was also very greasy and expensive for what it was.

Have used in past and recommended to friends. Had delivery tonight had to wait almost an hour, curry sauce was congealed. When phoned to complain manager basically said it was my fault.he wanted me to take food back to restaurant so he could check it. After 3 years of having food from here I will not order anything again.

Was absolutely disgusted food was late cold on arrival and when I called the restaurant for a refund the manager was rude and spent the whole time arguing even tho he knew the food was cold as they were running late tickets he was very unprofessional won't be ordering again and still want a refund absolutely disgusted with this service and don't recommend this place at all

Excellent Chinese takeaway, first place I know that started doing the munch box. Once you have tried one you'll get another one for sure they are a great takeaway treat to share.

Absolutely disgusting cold, tasteless food which was full of grease. I don’t usually complain but I had to on this occasion I wasted quite a lot of money on the takeout which was unedible I Phoned up the restaurant to complain and they were unbelievably rude! I will never order from here again.

Worst customer service!! Sent the wrong order and said they would refund, driver came back again and was incredibly racist and refused to give a refund. Rang back, woman was happy to give refund. Manager began shouting down the phone and refused to give us the refund. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!

First time used. Food was delivered very quickly and was piping hot. Egg fried rice had no egg in it. Chips were bland. Prawn toast was greasy and over done! For the price they charge for the food it is definitely not worth it! Won't be using again!

Visited last night to order set meal for two. Asked if beef in black bean sauce could be substituted for pork in black bean. Tried to charge £1 extra for this..declined on principle and went with the beef. Pork in black bean is 20p more than beef on the menu! Very poor customer service. Food was ok but won't be using again 🤨

We have used Phoenix for years and never had any problems. Today we ordered and as soon as I opened the containers I knew it was the usual Phoenix. I had shrimp chow main the shrimp tasted fishy and had a strange smell, the crispy beef was soggy beef and the chips were floppy and cold. I phoned and asked if the were under new management and yes they are. It would be nice if they had put it on the website. Needless to say I won’t be ordering again.

AVOID.....food arrived 20 mins late and cold, this was after arriving 45 mins before I requested and taken back, to restaurant. This is the 2nd time this has happened, what is the point of picking a time slot. When food arrived, tried 30 times to get through to restaurant constantly engaged. Chucked away, stone cold, better food for m @ s. Told we will give discount next time! Why would I order again......waste of money.

First time customer, ordered the 12 inch salt and pepper munchy box. Quick delivery and the food was epic! Would easily feed 3 adults. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely be returning.

Worst chinese ive had... The last couple of orders were filled with excessive fat, the curry was highly undercooked and when ive kindly asked for them to send out another order to correct the order they messed up, they said they would but im still waiting till this day.

First time eating here as my usual takeaway Crystal just up the road was shut. Won't be eating here again and by eating I mean, I took a mouthful and couldn't bring myself to eat another. Ordered a Beef curry which was bright orange, Tasted nothing like a curry but did taste like some sort of thickening agent and it didn't stop there, I also ordered a prawn chow mein which was also lacking in any flavour and was essentially a tray of greasy noodles and bean sprouts. Only gave this a 1 star rating so I could post this review, Save yourself the disappointment and eat elsewhere.

Ordered chicken curry and fried rice it was absolutely horrible and spoilt a family celebration meat was not chicken it was fleshy and no taste. Last time I buy from Rubery again.

My go to place for their satay sauce, just the best.

Thought I'd give this place a shot, average rating 3.5 and I've given it a 3 - cantonese style s&s chicken was disappointing; the chicken was much too soft for my liking and with it the coating, which was devoid of any texture - the sauce was luminescent in appearance and although had some potency I'm not sure how high it'd rank on the health scale. I think what just about saves my rating here from being a 2 was the vegetable chow mein, which on it's own I'd probably still only score as a 3. It's safe to say I won't be adding this place to my speed-dial

AVOID Contacting Food Standard Agency! Ordered for my dad last night who currently has food poisoning!!!

Have used Phoenix for over 2 years now, and have never had a problem with either the food or service. Even a basic chicken curry, rice and chips has always tasted very good and piping hot. And their more exotic Chinese meals are just as good.

Great takeaway food is excellent
