From the initial planning stages to the wedding day, everything was a breeze. Danielle was always responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Her ability to manage every detail seamlessly allowed us to enjoy our special day without any stress. Pheasantry Brewery, along with the team, made our wedding day one to remember. We got married at The Pheasantry Brewery at the start of May. We cannot say enough about how amazing it was. Honestly, we could not have asked for a more perfect day. Both Danielle and Dominique were absolutely brilliant from the day we first visited the Pheasantry Brewery up until the end. They were true professionals. We did not have to lift a finger all day, and neither did any of our guests. Everyone was fully looked after from the moment we arrived. We had prepared all the decorations ourselves and were able to drop them off a few days before the wedding. When we arrived on the day of the wedding, everything was fully set up for us. It looked perfect. They had everything exactly where we wanted it and the place truly looked amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. As soon as we were married, Danielle even had a beer sat waiting for us. They made sure that we always had some time together, as the newly weds, to let everything sink in. This was so thoughtful of them and we really appreciated those moments. The food was incredible. All our guests could not (and have not) stop talking about how delicious it was. Not just the flavour, but also the portion sizes. No one has ever been better fed at a wedding. The food was presented beautifully, and all the staff were so accommodating. We had the Hog Roast for the evening meal, and it was also brilliant. Perfectly done and would highly recommend it. The alcohol price was brilliant, especially for a wedding. We are so thankful to Danielle and Dominique. They and all the staff at the Pheasantry Brewery looked after us, and the wedding party, the entire time. They could not have been more helpful. They took away any stresses from us and made our day truly special. Even after the wedding when we went back to pick up all the decorations, everything was carefully boxed up for us and ready to take away. We cannot recommend this venue and the incredible team at The Pheasantry Brewery enough. A truly amazing day and we will forever be so thankful to you all.

What an amazing venue! We got married here in October 2023- and we can't fault Danielle and her team even if we tried! From when we first booked the venue till on the day Danielle was there to support us with every step and gave us such comfort that we were going to have the best day and it well and truly was! Everyone loved the food and we even went to a tasting evening before to be sure we liked what we chose on the day and the venue was even open to comments on the food just to be sure everything was how we liked it. The best day ever and if you book here you won't regret it!

We had our Daughter's wedding at the Pheasantry Brewery on Saturday 4th November 2023, What can I say other than Wow, Danielle the wedding planner did a fantastic job, from start to finish, the room was dressed perfectly, the day thanks to Danielle ran like clockwork, so thanks again to her, and her team, Also Dominique who did the food, and bar..we couldn't have ask for anything different.. 10/10..

Me and my husband got married here on 21.09.23 and wow it was truly magical and everything we could ever want in a wedding! Danielle was amazing from the start to finish, from booking our wedding in 2021 to the wedding day, she went above and beyond for us to ensure every thing went smoothly as possible and omg it did! All staff were also so helpful and and very friendly. The owner (I can't remember his name, I am so sorry) was also very helpful and accomidatiing. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and it was nice of the venue to put on garden toys for the kids, they have a whale of a time on the bouncy hoppers, even some of the big kids (adults 😂) food was outstanding also! If anyone is thinking of getting married at the phesentary, do it!! Beautiful venue, wish we could do it all over again 💞 Thank you Mr and Mrs Hooks!

Recently attended a wedding here on what sadly was one of the worst weather days we’ve had so far this year. The venue was fantastic and did an incredible job in changing areas around to cope with not being able to be outside in the garden and lawn areas literally all day. The food was excellent , a BBQ and later a Hog Roast . The staff were incredible all working non stop for the 12 hours we were all there with the difficult weather conditions to manage. Only slight downside is the lack of taxis ( not the venues fault but the area infrastructure). So if you are going to need a taxi then book them well in advance or you will have to drive yourself as an isolated location.

My wife and I got married here at the end of June and it was a wonderful day and we can't thank the team at the Pheasantry enough. From our first meeting with Danielle, we were confident she would help us make the most of our day and she was a star throughout the planning process. Our tasting evening was great and the catering staff were brilliant accommodating my mother-in-law's allergies within the menu. The day itself was seamless and just as brilliant as we hoped it would be. All of our guests have told us what a great time they had. We honestly can't thank Danielle, Dominique and the team enough for everything!

We couldn’t have wished for a better experience with this venue. From initial contact, through to the big day we loved everything about The Pheasantry. A huge thanks to Danielle who put our minds at ease & took all the stress out of organising a wedding, we just knew she had everything is hand. My favourite part - the food! We enjoyed it so much I often wish we could go back as a date night to experience it again! We loved how flexible the packages were & that we could choose every element to suit our & our guests tastes - it made the date even more personal. My sister and her now husband had their wedding there this week, 15th June and I got to admit they nor I was impressed with the money that they spent for such poor quality. The only positive note I can say about the venue was that it was pretty and a lovely location & the two ladies behind the bar were the only staff that were kind. The cons which a lot of people should know, it’s severely overpriced and overrated for everything else you you pay for. If you want to be yelled at by the coordinator, this is the place for you. The afternoon tea was two shared platters on the table which were literally nibbles considering it was over £26 a head. We were expecting individual meals at that price not nibbles shared between 6-10 people. I would say a 5 different types of sandwiches but sliced up into small strips which total at maybe 1-2 full sized sandwiches per platter. A glass of Prosecco for the toast which everyone was given. The coordinator asked everyone to leave the room so they could create a dance floor. I personally went to the bathroom and the brides family was taking photos about a couple meters to the side with the photographer. 4 full glasses of prosecco that we know of just on our table, was taken and other alcohol nearly if someone didn’t stop them, including a full bottle of wine that the couple paid for was about to be tipped away regardless of the money they spent on it. Bride was told after speaking to the venue the day after she could have asked for more sandwiches but a family member did and was told that was all they had. Brides mother spoke to a waitress about them just emptying drinks into the bucket from our table which were also paid for by ourselves as guests, she was told “it’s not my problem”. £25.50 a head for the bbq when the only positive thing to say was the sausages were the only thing with flavour. The food was bland and extremely dry. Burgers were just store bought frozen ones that were tasteless and staff refused to provide cheese when asked. Buns & rolls were hard and the chicken was so dry a lot of people didn’t eat it. For that price, they should have really got meat from the butchers or actually make delicious food not cardboard. I wouldn’t waste your money here. After complaining to the actual manager as my sister, the bride received a lot of complaints regarding the food, she was offered some beer. Nothing else. Quite pathetic really. Their food and service match quite well, low standard and overpriced. Response to Owner: It’s funny that no concerns have been raised according to you when there was some on the day and even the wedding party got in contact with you yesterday. You can sugar coat it however you want for google, you are SEVERELY overpriced for poor quality and poor service (excluding your bar staff). The only apology you can provide is a “bottle of bubbly or some beers”. Your response and gesture is pathetic.

I’ve given a 2 purely due to the place and views were beautiful. However the service me, my husband, friends and family received was appalling. To start off with it was a complete nightmare to get hold of our wedding coordinator Danielle. Secondly on the day started amazingly, we had for our sit down meal an afternoon. Which we had paid £26 per head, which didn’t come out as per head it had to be shared between 3/4 people. The sandwiches were tiny and dry, quiches had no flavour and the smallest amount of sausage roll. After our sit down meal they wanted everyone to clear the room so my mum and stepdad wanted A photo in the back drop with me and my husband, there were drinks from the drinks package and brought drinks on the table the waitresses threw them away we were only 20 feet from them, the waitress was extremely rude to my mum when she spoke to them. So when I spoke to Danielle about this matter it just turn into an argument. Then was replaced! Then our evening meal we paid for a bbq £25.50 per head and again the food was definitely not value for money the chicken and burgers were dry and tough! To the point most guest didn’t eat them! One of my guests asked for cheese in her burgers and was told no that’s all they get! The only food that was nice on the evening menu was the sausages!! The staff were rude and walked round with miserable faces, the only staff I can compliment are the bar staff they were lovely and very helpful. I feel extremely gutted about how this was considering the amount of money we paid and to be fair that is all they think about. I spoke with the manager Dominic they next day on the phone and all he could offer was a bottle of bubbly or some beers. My special day just didn’t feel as special as it should have no one checked if anything was okay or how good was.

We went to this place for our eldest daughters wedding on the 15th June 2023. The venue is beautiful but that is as far as it goes for me. The wedding planner was ordering people around, screeching orders about who had to be where, to the point no one actually could understand what she was shouting. Considering the amount of money they paid for the food package it resembled food you would expect at a child’s birthday party, complete with dry edges. The coffee was good though!! The staff were rude and unhelpful to my partner and the bride and the manager has since been very unhelpful with all the negative feedback our daughter has received about the food and staff from other guests. My advice would be think very hard before using this venue for a wedding venue and if you do supply your own food and drink. The waitresses throw away your drink if you leave it unattended for longer than 30 seconds and you have to fight to get it replaced. Thank you for your reply to our review. NONE of this reply makes any sense and is an absolute fabrication of what really happened. Firstly your CCTV needs updating as there were at least 6 people plus the bride and groom in the room when your cleaners just destroyed the table we were sat at and deliberately threw all the drinks away, obviously this was done to force the guests to buy more. Secondly you have the wrong people as we never had any discussion with Danielle at all at any point during the day or evening all we heard was the screeching at intervals every day. Ex partner?? What on earth are you going on about?? That again had nothing to do with us or our table and you are talking rubbish. Fact. The venue is beautiful but the management is clearly lacking experience and customer facing skills. VERY VERY POOR for a lot of money

I recently went to my friends wedding at this venue, which a nice setting but the food was awful. The cream tea was basic and the sandwiches were dried and curled at the edges. When it came to the bbq in the evening it was basically some dried unseasoned chick and burgers. Not even a cheese slice. Really not worth the money.

We were married at the Pheasantry Brewery in September 2022, after a couple of postponements in 2020 and 2021. Danielle, Dominique and the team provided an exceptional service from start to finish. The day ran incredibly smoothly, thanks largely to Danielle's incredible planning and organisation. The food was delicious and exactly as we had agreed at our tasting menu evening. We can hardly believe we were able to pull off such a day, and our guests were thrilled. Thanks to all involved at the Pheasantry Brewery, we couldn't have asked for more.

Great brewery and events venue. Situated in plenty of space and well appointed. Popular for weddings and similar events. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Tasteful decor throughout and also the possibility to add precessional firework displays to the events as well. Worth an enquiry.

From start to finish we had the best day here for our wedding! Nothing was too big or too small! Even wi to last minute bits I wanted to add Danielle was straight there and sorted it! The whole team was a dream to have! Even when my brother became upset the wonderful lady behind the bar didn’t hesitate to comfort him! This place is amazing! The only thing I did have was that the garden was a little dark on one side! They have took this on board and will be sorted! If you need a venue this this is your place! Lastly the hog roast 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 It went down a treat!

We were lucky to share the wedding of our friends at the Pheasentry Brewery. This is a wonderful place to have a wedding. Everything was perfect. The food the atmosphere and the staff. It felt so relaxed with a magical twist and very surreal atmosphere. I would highly recommend it.

We had our wedding here at the end of May and it was the most magical day. The team were seamless and made the whole day run smoothly. Danielle is magnificent, throughout the whole process (and multiple postponed dates due to COVID) she went above and beyond to make our day perfect.

The Pheasantry has been an amazing venue for our wedding. We got married during COVID, rearranged several times and had our reception over a year later. Danielle was always understanding and accommodating with all the swaps and changes and worked so hard to make sure our day(s) were still beautiful and memorable. From creating takeaway afternoon teas when we weren’t allowed to have more than a short ceremony, to a full on BBQ and disco at our reception over a year after. Danielle has been flexible and approachable, working hard to allow us to do as much as we were allowed to at the time and then enabling us to go big with everyone present. The venue itself is stunning and looks beautiful however it's done up. The food is delicious, and the beer went down a treat - with several guests buying a keg or too to take home. It’s close to the A1 and very easy to find. There’s a travelodge and other hotels a 5 minute drive away for basic accommodation. I would absolutely recommend The Pheasantry, and would absolutely pick it again if I had another event.

Excellent wedding venue with some great craft beers on tap

We attended our friends wedding here last Saturday and WOW! Every detail had been taken care of by the team and nothing was too much trouble, they even stepped up when the water to the area got cut off through the night, manually flushing toilets with buckets of water. In fact most of the guests were probably unaware of the fact as it was dealt with calmly and quietly so as not to impact the bride and groom's day. The food was top notch and the location and facilities were perfect.

If you want to have the most perfect, beautifully run wedding day, you HAVE to book this venue. We had the dreamiest of wedding days here, and not a single detail was missed. Danielle and her team could not have done more to make our day feel special, run smoothly and were an absolute delight to work with from start to finish. Thank you so very much!

The pheasantry and the team were absolutely amazing all the way through the planning stage and then when the wedding day came round we were so impressed with how efficient and perfect everything went.. Danielle is absolutely fantastic and you can really tell she genuinely cares that your wedding day is as perfect as you expect! The team working that day had everything very precise when it came to the wedding breakfast, all tables weee served quickly and the food was top notch.. every single person who attended how wedding has praises the beautiful venue and Danielle and her fabulous team… get this venue booked, you won’t regret it.. As with all hospitality, due to covid it has been an extremely strange time for the Wedding industry. The phesantry and Danielle have been on some ups and downs with us as we watched the rules change then change again. The team at the phesantry are an unusual venue as they offered us incredible flexibility and never once let us panic. They managed to pull off our perfect wedding and we could see how hard they have been working and managed to keep positive in the face of what I can imagine are relentless weddings as they try to catch up. The venue is perfect, the weather wasn’t however that didn’t stop us, when the weather was good we were outside then ran inside to dance and drink. We couldn’t have been happier with the occasion and Danielle was the perfect host. We would highly recommend a wedding with yourself. On behalf of both me and my new wife we thank you greatly.

My now husband visited the Pheasantry for a work meeting and came home to say he'd found my dream place to get married! So we booked in with Danielle to go and have a look and I have to say, he was absolutely right! The venue is stunning and the fact that you can get married in the garden was exactly what I wanted. So much so, it was the first and last venue we visited and we booked in straight away. Fast forward 2 years and our dream day was stopped due to covid but Danielle handled everything so well, she must have been overrun with frantic couples all trying to rearrange with no idea when all this was going to end but she treated us like we were a priority and made everything seem so simple! Fast forward another year and it was finally our time to tie the knot! Danielle organised everything on the day and made the place look even more stunning. She made everything feel like it was running smoothly and we had nothing to worry about. We opted the BBQ which was amazing, speaking to the guests afterwards they all said how good the food was. We enjoyed the garden games and stayed in the garden even after dark when the place is lit with fairy lights and we were kept warm by the fire pit. It was perfect! We forgot about covid for the day and just had the wedding we had wanted from the beginning. I can't thank Danielle and the team at the Pheasantry enough ❤

We had our wedding at The Pheasantry Brewery and cannot speak highly enough of Danielle and the team. Right from the initial visit, the whole process was just perfect culminating in a fantastic ceremony and celebration. Nothing was too much trouble for the team; on the day, they set everything up outside, then the rains came and they moved everything inside, at the last minute it stopped raining and they speedily set it up outside again. The whole afternoon ran like clockwork, Danielle was firmly in control whilst staying in the background. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it (canapés after the ceremony and BBQ later), the staff were friendly and attentive, we couldn’t have wished for anything better. Thank you Danielle and staff for such a wonderful day.

Our son and his new wife were married here on Saturday and this venue is perfect. Danielle and her staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. They seem to enjoy the day as much as the guests did! The venue is a wonderful setting and we were lucky that it was a sunny day and the service was held outdoors. After speeches and food in the building we then had music outside and danced all night long. It is the perfect location for a wedding and many of our guests commented on the serenity of the location and the high quality of service provided by the staff. I would recommend this location to anyone considering a civil wedding. It is, without a doubt, a truly remarkable experience.

Wasted journey. The brewery is advertised as being open until 5pm, after driving miles to get there, it was actually closed at 4.30pm! Annoying.

Went here for the beer festival and is staffed by frindly eager to plaese and knowlwgeable people. Food was ok there too.

Held my wife's 40th party at the pheasantry. It was totally perfect in every way. The garden is both fun and beautiful, and the bar/restaurant and marquee very tastefully done. Great fun whether you are a kid who wanted to run around playing garden games, or an adult who wanted to dance and drink as the sun goes down. BBQ menu with all the trimmings on the evening was delicious and nothing was too much for Danielle to organise. From 'katy' cider for the namesake birthday girl, to the garden games and countless pre event visits to look at decorations, Setting up the fire pit, fairy lights etc. She really is an amazing party planner. All of the guests agreed (we had 50 ish) it was a secret delight of a venue. Lots of local guests who has never been there before. If we weren't already married I know where we'd be hiring as a venue. You really must check it out. Completely wonderful. Thanks Danielle et al - you are total stars!!

The best night of my life! After being at this venue recently for a party I can't praise the team enough who made it such a success. It was a dream. Well done everyone involved.

Recientemente reservado para celebrar nuestra boda aquí para finales de este año. Danielle es increíble y está lleno de buenas ideas. Realmente nos pone y lo que queremos y nos ha ayudado en cada paso del camino. Hemos tenido nuestra degustación de comida y conocer nuestros clientes van a ser abrumados como nosotros. El día puedo venir lo suficientemente rápido. Sin duda, decisión Pheasantry reservar en el Brewery es perfecto.

Un ambiente increíble en el Pheasantry, con el personal más simpático y servicial que he conocido. La comida era deliciosa y muy bien presentada. Todo el equipo involucrado juntas la mejor noche que sentimos sin esfuerzo! Yo recomendaría un evento para todo el mundo.

Mi pareja y yo asistí a una boda de unos amigos aquí recientemente. Poco pero no demasiado, ya que nos dieron un mini bus entre un grupo de nosotros, así que el precio no estaba mal.Pasamos un tiempo increíble. Parecía maravilloso, especialmente en las fotografías. La comida era estupenda, así que era el entretenimiento (y bebidas). ! !Soy celíaca, así que estaba esperando a acabar con un poco de fruta para budín pero terminó con tres mini como todos los demás (incluida la correcta tarta casera que era libre de gluten). ! Era tan feliz

El día de la boda de mis hermanas atendieron muy especial en octubre, y el día y la noche, era fantástico. El servicio fue impecable por todo el personal a quien sirve la comida para nosotros.Como el día fuimos estaba claro que nada era demasiado problema para mi planificador de bodas (danielle) hermanas ella era una señora tan encantadora y muy accesible. Ella se aseguró de que todos estábamos contentos.Como la noche fuimos a las bebidas estaban fluyendo muy bien y más fantástico, la comida se sirve. El personal del bar (Stacey y danielle) eran geniales y se las arregló bastante bien con nuestra familia en la que beber.En general, el día no podía haber mejor ejecución y este es el lugar para ser hermosa y única y el personal fantástico.No dudaría en recomendar este lugar a cualquiera.

Worst service ever received, poor so called events management. Even worse 'customer service' no one has a clue what that is or what they are doing, don't trust them with anything they say!! They never follow through and certainly won't honour their word!!

Amazing brewery run by amazing people. Couldn't be more helpful unless they poured more beer down the mrs's neck. Which to be fair they did. Top Beer, Top badger, no target just pure class. Best in show!

Reservamos el lugar para una recepción de boda, sólo para descubrir más tarde (después de ponerse en contacto con nosotros, ellos) que tenían físicamente nuestra reserva en sobrescribir diario con alguien vigilara que habíamos visto originalmente escrito. Si quiere que su día arruinando grandes, dada la salen, cuestan dinero y experiencia el peor servicio al cliente que me he encontrado. . . Dar estos vaqueros una llamada!

BE WARNED!!! I wouldn't touch this place with a barge pole! We booked the venue for a wedding reception only to find out later (after us contacting them) that they had physically overwritten our booking in there diary with someone elses which we had seen originally written in. If you would like your big day ruining, given the run about, cost you money and experience the worst customer service I have ever come across... Give these cowboys a call!

Great place to hold a wedding reception. It was nicely decorated without being over the top. Staff were really friendly. The only complaint is that the number of toilets ,1 male & 1female, wasn't enough.

I believe this was the first wedding being held here so there is a fair few points to improve but for a starter - they are not doing too bad and it might be a roaring success.Areas for improvement are:Where the wedding was held, beautifully but simply decorated but the guest chairs were far too close together. So much so that the bride was being trod on because the aisle was too narrow heading up to be given away and back with her husband! Luckily the guests and happy couple were forgiving.Bar - please take cards, we are in the 21st century and not having that basic facility is a faux pas! Again, there were profuse apologies about this lack of functionality and more explanations about it being the 1st event of its kind.Gravel around the bar area - women in wedding shoes, need I say more? Overlaying with some exterior carpeting or astro turf for weddings is going to be essentialGood Areas:Food and drink was really good and being asked to change a couple of things off the set menu was no problem at all, 5 star service yet with an edge of very friendlyDrinks prices were fair and the catering team put together a vibrant cocktail for welcome drinksLovely outside area, perfect for Photos with ample guest parking

Its a bit off the beaten track that is the A57I've always had a warm welcome from the owner and the staffThey always have time to chat about real ale, and the ale is beautiful

Wow!! What a venue for such an amazing wedding. The guys here really made sure everything went smoothly and was a great venue. Will return soon with my partner!!

Found this little gem of a venue when I was looking for somewhere to hold my 50th Birthday Party. It's a very private, peaceful country location with lovely views, garden, bar area and a marquee. The food supplied by Complete Catering of Doncaster was absolutely amazing. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the venue with lots of very positive compliments. I would definitely recommend if you want privacy and something a little different.

Did not manage to see has a barrier was down blocking the road entrance. Will try again in opening hours next time.

Been here a couple of times now - the last two times I have tried to visit it has been closed... so check for opening times.Great beers of course (as it is a brewery!) - a fine selection of food, ranging from casual nibbles to a full meal. Very relaxed, light airy and modern surroundings, set in the vastness of open countryside. Recommended for a good place to relax, chat and eat.

Always a nice welcome, with good beers and local cider, together with tasty food. If only they stayed open a bit later.

We've visited here a few times. The food has been consistently good and the atmosphere good - although we most look forwards to sitting outside in the garden and playing the giant Jenga type game. The views and expanse of land is exhilarating.

This was my first trip and I have to say it won't be my last, food was good, service with a smile and not expensive - we went in November and it was a little bleak and cold but I can imagine in the summer sat outside it is different again. Our food was well served and well presented, coffee and drinks again were as expected, no fault could be found!

Decided to visit for Friday lunchtime- had fish and chips. Meal very good - hot, freshly cooked, good size piece of fish and chips crunchy.

Difficult to find but worth it in the end.Excellent service & food to a very high standard. Good choice of menu with very reasonable prices. Very pleasant surroundings. Did not visit the brewery so cannot make a comment.Would definitely go again.

Been going here since the day it opened. Whilst the beer & the outdoor surroundings are great the food is now disappointing & expensive. The interior is also bland & has no character. If it was gourmet food I would be happy to pay for it but it does not fall anywhere near that category. This seems to have come about since the catering was taken on by the current company (Black Pepper Mint)

A very interesting place to visit ad eat. An extremely well informed and chatty bar manager made our short visit very memorable and primes us for a future longer visit. This independent brewery offers a well kitted out restaurant / bar and spacious car park just a few minutes from Retford and 15ish from Lincoln.

Recently attended a wedding here and the venue was wonderful. The food was delicious, the drink plentiful and the staff brilliant. Beautiful facilities in a lovely place.

A great Resturant in a lovely surrounding and a pleasant place to eat . The staff are friendly and polite and the bar & Resturant are very classy in a tastefully restored barn . The outside space is set on a pretty grassed area with open fields all around , a tranquil place to have a drink in the evening . The food was presented very well and tasted fantastic , I had the chicken and my wife had the Burger with homemade relish and twice cooked chips , a good recommended choice . The Selection of brewery beers was good and was offered a free pint with each meal . We will be Returning very soon .

Been here many times now and we are never disappointed. The food presented by the Black Peppermint team is high quality, it's served promptly and although the portions don't look huge, they are plentiful. Would be nice to see a beef dish on the menu though especially if you are out for Sunday lunch.The beers are outstanding, as you would expect from a micro brewery that has just won champion beer in London and the differently monthly beers are unique. (Septembers one has an orange flavour and packs quite a punch). The beer shop is pretty cool too.The staff are amazingly friendly and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your visit.Well worth a trip.

We cannot thank the Black Peppermint company and Pheasantry Brewery enough for the amazing food drink and effort they put in to our wedding day! The staff were awesome and we couldn't have done it without them. The tipi was pretty and the grounds are perfect for letting the children free to run around.The beer is award winning for good reason !! We have been congratulated by everyone for a fantastic day and we feel it's only fair we pass this onto the black peppermint / pheasantry crew as much of the credit rests with them !!

Visited the restaurant and what a lovely ambience it has! The food was delicious, we had three starters which included blow torched salmon, chicken and red pepper spring rolls and also cubed feta cheese and each one was so 'moreish!' We had two steak dinners and one pork belly, and each dinner was perfect! The staff were brill, lovely and chatty!We'll be coming back to try the beers of the month, as well as the other things on the menu! Thank you!

Recently went here for the first time with friends and we had a fantastic experience. We had booked our table but forgot to explain an allergy within the group before hand, however once they were aware of the issue they were fantastic in making clear what one friend could eat, as well as pointing out that if we make them aware before hand dishes can be adapted - this is extremely helpful when a guest has an onion allergy! The food we had was beautiful, as well as being able to sample the wonderful in-house ales and larger! And I also suggest you try the puddings! Will most certainly be going again and would 100% recommend to others!

We visited for my sons birthday there was a group of 10 family and friends including 2 very young children.The atmosphere was very welcoming, the surroundings and size of the restaurant makes it feel personal. Staff extremely helpful and informative and accommodated 2 lively children.The food was excellent very tasty with a variety to suit most palates.I would certainly recommend this restaurant, and will be returning very soon.

I've always wanted to try the food here as I've heard good things. I've been before for the beer but we went last week for lunch.The food was really nice, especially the chips which were chunky and homemade. They were outstanding. The beer was good as usual. I can't remember which beer I had but it was the first time I'd seen it on so had a couple of pints. The prices are reasonable for the beer and not too bad for the food.I would have given 5 stars but am only giving 4 because of the poor choice of children's drinks available. We had our 4 year old nephew with us and ended up having to pay nearly 3 quid for an orange juice which he wouldn't even drink. No fruit shoots available. Not even any orange squash. There were lots of kids there as well so maybe this is something they may consider in the future. It used to be more child friendly than it is now. For example, there used to be footballs in the beer garden with goalposts. But they're gone now.I'd recommend this place for good food or if you love real ales. But if you have children with you then I'd give it a miss.
