First time at the pheasant inn and it won't be the last. Plenty of car park space. The Sunday lunch menu has a good variety of dishes which made it very difficult to pick up what we wanted. The staff is friendly (they are also dog friendly). The Sunday roast was delicious; lots of different vegg. The stuffing was eaten with the Yorkshire pudding and soaked in gravy... Yummy.

We booked late last night and got in. They were really busy but they were still brilliant. Can’t fault anything about our meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great. We had the beef stroganoff and also the steak/pie. Both the beef fell apart and was very tasty all cooked to perfection. We managed to find room for sticky toffee pudding n custard and gorgeous also. Can highly recommended it’s still a gem of a place to go.

I do not usually write reviews but I felt compelled. The service and food here is usually excellent but last Sunday the food was average and service was slow and poor. Either something has changed management wise or behind the doors in the kitchen. It'll have to improve before I go back again.

Rubbish pub, came here for lunch and was told we couldn’t sit on nearly any of the OUTDOOR seating because we had a dog, only table we could sit on had no umbrellas and a million cigarette buts in the ashtrays, how lovely! Only stayed for a drink because we’d ordered that before anyone decided to tell us. What type of pub doesn’t allow dogs to sit outside, bludy ridiculous!

Went there with family who lived in Prestbury for lunch It was busy but we're seated in the bar and we're served with drinks promptly. Perused the menu and 3 out 4 of us decided on lamb shanks but when we went to order they had sold out so back to the menu. We then all choose something else complete with starters. These were presented fairly quick that we're quickly devoured. The mains came and these were also devoured with much pleasure. Only 2 of us could manage puds that again were superb. Great place to eat and have a catch up with family with no pressure to vacate the table.

This is an extremely well run and pleasant pub and, judging by the number of people there on a Thursday evening, very popular. Far better than many in nearby Cheltenham. The food was excellent. What we appreciated most was: 1. vegetables or salad automatically served with meals rather than having to pay extra as sides 2. Tips left to the discretion of customer rather than imposing service charge. Will definitely be back!

Visited as a family of 5 with our dog. Service was second to none, all of the staff were so lovely, very attentive, and efficient. The staff were incredibly welcoming of the dog and sat us in the area that accommodated dogs. The menu itself has a great selection, but oh my goodness the portion sizes are very generous and it all tasted incredible. The whole family said it was the best pub meal that we have had. The food was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to return!

We arrived without a table reservation and the pub was heaving, but we're sat at a table within minutes, served a great pint of beer and order taken shortly after my a friendly waitress. My husband and I were walking the Cotswold Way and the B&B we were at booked us into The Pheasant Inn for dinner that evening (May 17/24). We got there a bit earlier than our reservation but our table was ready and were able to be seated right away. What a great pub and the most wonderful food. Two couples for Saturday lunch, we booked, good job too, not a table to be had and it's a big pub. Only had mains and desserts, the ladies both had fish pie, I had the gammon steak and the other gentleman the chicken and leek pie. Large portions and beautiful, very busy but we didn't have to wait for the food to arrive. Highly recommend but book, very reasonably priced.

We dined at The Pheasant 3 times in 5 days as the food was so good on our first visit. The Lamb Bourguignon was the best pub food I have ever eaten followed by Lemon Meringue pie which was equally as good. The four of us had different meals each night and it was all delicious, plentiful and piping hot. Service was also excellent and all food was served in a timely manner by cheerful staff who are a credit to the pub. We will definitely return when we are next in the area. Stepping in to the Pheasant started a very pleasant experience, with very hospitable & attentive staff; clean & comfortable dining area and then gorgeous well cooked food. The chicken pie was so good, I did not photograph it until the plate was cleared! The same thing happened with my dessert, a baked cheesecake. I apologise to the Pheasant for not taking a picture at the start of the meal. Our party of six, enjoyed meals that met and went above expectations.

The pheasant inn has become a firm go to destination while staying with friends near Cheltenham. My most recent visit was my third, the food as good as my previous two outings here. From the moment you step inside, the friendly front of house staff offer a warm welcome and were attentive and professional throughout the duration of our evening. The food has been nothing short of exquisite on each occasion, the kitchen team clearly have pride in their work and it shows in spades. My lamb shank was cooked to perfection, falling gently from the bone as I relished every mouthful, the meat complimented with velvety soft mashed potatoes and a generous selection of well cooked vegetables. Thank you all for a wonderful evening, I am looking forward to my next visit already!

Starters included pate, garlic mushrooms and nachos. Food was all served promptly without any waiting as we were a large party. Friendly chatty staff who could not do enough for us. Firstly there was a problem in that they did not have our booking recorded. I'd booked by email but this hadn't been put in the diary. Unfortunately on arriving I could not find a copy of my booking. Also the pub was very very busy with Christmas parties but thankfully they had one spare table for us. Not sure what they would have done otherwise. But they took my word for it that I had booked and thankfully I proved it before we left as I found a copy of the email in my sent items . Anyway that aside even though the place was really busy the service was efficient and friendly. Drinks orders taken and served quickly and likewise with the food which was excellent. The issue with the booking would not put us off visiting here again. A thoroughly pleasant lunch

We had steaks with all the trimmings, cooked perfectly, the food came out hot and very plentiful. Deserts are delicious and really large portions. I would definitely go back to the pheasant for a meal.

Ordered a beef roast dinner, this came out pretty cold other than the broccoli. Ordered the roulade for dessert which came out mouldy! Had mould spots on and they continued to serve it to other customers after I had returned my dessert. They offered to replace the dessert which I declined as I felt very put off.

We are very lucky to call this our local. Sunday lunch is not only delicious but plentiful and very good value. They have good COVID measures in place and the pods outside in the garden are great.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this pub has done all the it can to proof itself again Covid-19, including installing outdoor pods which look pretty weather resistant. The only observation I made that is any way critical is that the young servers looked pretty terrified every time they approached table! That said, the greeting was warm, the food was freshly cooked , generously portioned, and very good value for money.

Haven't been to this pub for a while due to the lockdown etc. and so nice to see it up and running again. Excellent precautions taken in every conceivable way against the the Covid 19. As before in previous visits the Sunday Roast was absolutely superb and faultless. Staff very polite and very helpful and such a prompt service. If only all the pubs were this good.

Our third visit and perhaps our favourite Cotswolds pub.We visited last week and both service and our lunches were as good as ever.We have always visited for Sunday lunch previously but tried the Steak and Ale pie which was excellent.Very friendly staff too and it was nice to see the place quick fill up.The Pheasant Inn is ideally situated for Broadway, Winchcombe as well as the Steam railway which is a short distance away.Very nice food at reasonable prices too. Please support our pubs.Visited August 2020.

Impromptu pub lunch, having spotted the "pods" out in the beer garden, which were a great novelty. Lovely food, definitely worth the short drive, and will visit again when we next holiday in the Cotswolds.

This our nearest pub and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep. We’ve seen Carys Richard & the baby sitting in the garden with paddling pool during lock down and they have made a fabulous job of making the pub look it’s best for re opening end of July. I popped in for lunch with a friend last week. Service impeccable. Social distancing and careful handling of plate/ cutlery delivery/ collection. In one way out another. Food as always delicious and good value for money. Passed by today and tables outside at lunch time are pretty full. Car park full & it’s a Monday. Well done. You’ve got it all just right.

Sadly shut forever unless someone comes up with extortionate price Fullers want. Could be such a great destination pub with right chef

A very welcoming experience thanks to the excellent heritage centre guides who knew their stuff and pointed us in the right direction. The Centre is a must visit not just for aged train spotters but for every one. The line has a new future with East West Rail which needs all our support to get locals back on trains. Great coffee and cake made the day.

It started well with a good selection on the menu. When we came to order our breakfast sandwiches my friend asked how much it would be to add an egg to her bacon sandwich, at which point the waitress advised that the prices on the menu had increased so weren't correct & could only say they had gone up by about 50p. On asking for a sparkling water she advised that had also gone up by 20p maybe 30p, these increases were due to the cost of living increase. When we questioned why the menus hadn't been updated she advised there were new owners & it hadn't been done yet but that there was a sign on the wall inside the shop advising of the price increase, we were sat outside but to be honest anyone entering the shop wouldn't have seen it as it would have been behind them. She then brought out the A4 sign. She also tried to find an updated menu which she couldn't find. Firstly I am sure this must be illegal to advertise one price & charge another & secondly a hand written note could have been added to the menu or a copy of the price increase attached to the menu which everyone would have seen. Maybe the new owners should hold fire on the price increase until new menus are available as it may save their reputation. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty, however the 'glass' that accompanied the sparkling water was in fact a jar with a thread for a screw top. Some might call it funky but not to everyone's taste. Needless to say it wasn't used. There are standards which have to be met & the clear advertising of correct pricing is one of them. We are all effected by the cost of living crisis & on occasions when we do our bit to support local businesses we might be watching the pennies too.

Always very busy which is a good sign. Food has always been good and staff are very friendly even when they are rushing around. Would definitely recommend this pub
