We honestly do not recommend this pigsty! The lady serving does not listen to what is being said to her! Forcibly telling someone where to sit! The men's room stinks so much that it smells better in the pigsty!

Had a great dinner here. Can’t wait to go back.

Great Polish Restaurant. You'll feel like you're in Poland for a meal. The atmosphere is a bit old style but clean and cozy, the service is really friendly, the food is delicious (home made quality) and abundant, and the prices are amazing. Great value no doubt! 100% recommended.

The Percy is our family's favorite restaurant. Delicious food and super-friendly service. I think that one waitress is worth attention here - she doesn't need a notebook and remembers the entire order regardless of the number of people at the table (she hasn't made a mistake yet 🏆🥇). My favorite dish is potato pancakes with sauce - they are delicious, fresh and crispy every time. I also ate a burger, fries with Hagis, fish, a huge cutlet with potatoes, broth, dumplings... and everything was very good. If someone doesn't necessarily feel like having a Polish dinner, I recommend ordering something from the bar menu.

Excelente restaurante de comida polaca. La carta no es muy amplia, pero todos los platos son sabrosos, con productos frescos y muy abundantes, de hecho para compartir si se pide entrada. Pedimos agua y nos trajeron con el detalle del limón e hielo. El ambiente, de un típico lugar polaco y la atención muy buena también. La relación calidad precio, más que satisfactoria.

Żurek w chlebie przepyszny, że a "miska" chrupiąca tak, że że można całą zjeść 🍵. Schabowy na cały talerz po takim żurku to aż nadto. Na prawdę bardzo pyszne i sycące jedzenie. Polecam jak najbardziej. Bardzo miła obsługa i super klimat.

I was in on Friday night. Menu is really good and the food was once again fantastic. Even though they were busy with Christmas bookings we were able to order food and drink quickly. Great service and the live music was very good.

Lovely, chilled atmosphere to catch up with family before the Xmas rush starts! Cosy but spacious, the Percy is a great local pub! Staff are friendly and helpful, and it was the ideal spot for a quiet couple of drinks :)

Literally 10/10, couldn't fault

Ewidentnie coś się zmieniło w tej kuchni.. Karkówka dobrze upieczona jednakze bardzo tlusta i mdla(bez przypraw) i kluski śląskie które absolutnie nie miały smaku.. Porcja na talerzu również się zmniejszyła. Szkoda, bo bardzo lubielismy tą restauracje za jej Polski, wysmienity smak.. lecz za każdym razem gdy ja odwiedzamy jest coraz gorzej :(

Borscht was delicious, but pierogi were too soggy and not really tasty. Hunter bigos was quite good. Portions were very generous. Service was decent.

Bardzo zawiedziony moim ostatnim pobytem w The Percy. Głośno. Nie przyjemnie. Obsługa była opryskliwa i nie słuchała uważnie co zamawialiśmy. Trzy razy zamówienie było nieprawidłowe. Za nim dostaliśmy to co chcieliśmy. Jedzenie kiedyś było lepsze. Porcje większe. Jedzenie było letnie a nie gorące. Kiedy poprosiłem o coś to czekałem 5 minut za nim dostałem. Serwetki to chyba są wyliczane bo jak poprosiłem o więcej to mi powiedziano że mogę użyć ta która jest z widelecem… a chciałem tylko przykryć nogi w razie jak bym się pochlapał sosem czy czymś ale to res był problem I musiałem poprosić kogoś innego z obsługi żeby mi przyniósł kilka więcej. Ogólnie atmosfera była głośna. Wiem że to restauracja ale nie słyszałem własnych myśli i chcieliśmy jak najszybciej zjeść i wyjść bo było nieprzyjemnie. Ogólnie nie polecam The Percy. Coś się zmieniło tam i nie będę tam wracał już niestety chociaż nadal kocham ich schabowego.

Co tu duzo pisac, wpadlismy bez rezerwacji, obsluga nasz szybko przyjela, smaczne placki z dobrym gulaszem.

Pyszne jedzenie! Po kilku dniach w Szkocji aż się chce wrócić do czegoś dobrego i jakościowego. Przy płatności zaszła mała niezgodność, ale szybko zostało to wytłumaczone i dali nawet 10% rabatu! Było miło, zwróciliśmy im ten rabat w formie tipa, świetne rozwiązanie problemu :)

Absolutely cracking! Very wholesome fare (hats off the chef!) & patiently attentive & good-humoured service without being at all intrusive. Foodwise, in particular, the tatties & herring starter was greatly appreciated by this Scot. Great beer too.

Probably the worst pierogi I’ve had in my life. The size of them is absolutely ridiculous. They were massive, overcooked and drowning in oil. Also lacked any sort of seasoning. Very disappointing that you’ve managed to ruin such a beautiful dish in so many ways. Service is okay but had better. Only good thing is that the prices are very reasonable for Edinburgh, although I guess it’s adequate to the quality of the food.. Wouldn’t rush back

Excellent Polish cooking. I have not tasted Żurek like this since my grandmother died. Very much enjoyed the meal and will certainly visit again when next In Edinburgh. Only criticism? The portion was too large, so I did not have room for the Polish cheesecake. Next time!

Visited yesterday for the first time and not impressed. The waitress is the most miserable woman ever, asked for a table for two and when I told her we hadn’t booked she acted like we offended her. The restaurant was half empty so don’t know why she was grumpy. Food wasn’t up to much, Although you get a massive portion the food is really bland, everything needs seasoning and beef in the goulash was unbelievably dry. Disappointed as I brought my polish Mrs here as a wee surprise but she can cook better food than this place.

Jedzenie w polskiej normie, jednak bez rewelacji, obsługa rodaczki kielnerki w ciemnych włosach bardzo zaskoczyła nas,zimnym przywitaniem i brakiem zaangażowania, lecz druga kielnerka ze słowiańskim akcentem, próbująca nawet mówić po polsku tryskała optymizmem i chętnie ugościła. Moim zdaniem te miejsce posiada Klimat starego angielskiego pabu a zbyt słabo akcentuje Polski harakter lokalu. Wielki Plus za jedzenie dobrze ugotowane zgodnie ze sztuką.👏👏 Szacun 🤝

Polish food almost as good as home made

Best kept secret in Edinburgh. Really hearty portions of traditional Polish food served in a well appointed restaurant. The potato latkes are to die for and the schnitzel is as big as your plate. In my opinion The Percy offers the best value for money food in Edinburgh. They have a specials list to go with their normal menu and a decent wine and beer list. Really humble food that's consistently good. The restaurant is always spotlessly clean and service is great. Real hidden gem. I only recently visited the bar area next door and found out they offer a Scottish menu in there. I had the Balmoral chicken which was excellent. They've got an ample supply of whiskies for any Scot or tourist alike and it's also a good place to watch sport in.

good food but some meals need improvement

I had wanted to visit this restaurant for ages as I really enjoy polish food and I was not disappointed! We had a drink in the pub first and then went into the restaurant which is next door. The staff were lovely and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The menu had so many dishes that I wanted to try that it was hard to choose but I went for the zurek followed by the potato pancakes with beef goulash. The food was so tasty and delicious and the portions were generous and filling, so much so, there was no room for desert. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and can’t wait to return to try everything else on the menu! There were many other diners in the restaurant who seemed to be polish so I can only guess that the food must be authentic. This place is worth travelling for, cannot wait to return!

Heerlijk gegeten, grote porties. We hadden koude bietensoep, spinaziesoep, pierogi, vis van de dag, bruschetta (lekker veel toppings).

Оооочень вкусная еда, огромные порции, приятный и общительный персонал. Нас обслуживала девушка из Киева (извиняюсь не запомнили имя)- очень внимательная, общительная❤️ Чек вышел на 4 человек с алкоголем 100£ что очень не дорого для таких огромных порций☺️ Спасибо огромное за вкусную еду, уютное место и супер персонал❤️. РЕКОМЕНДУЮ ❤️

Posted closed at 9 but it's a lie. At 810 we were turned away with empty tables sitting...ymmv Response; Please. At NO time were we offered a table with a warning that we would have limited time. We were denied service. It was only when we asked for an alternate recommendation in the area that one of the staff suggested we go to the bar next door. And it was only when we got to the bar that the (very excellent) waiter there made us aware that it was the same kitchen. Our meal in the next door bar was excellent and the service was gracious and friendly. If only that were true for your restaurant as well. A simple "so sorry, we are no longer seating in the dining room but if you step next door to our bar we serve the full menu and you will be very welcome" would have been nice. Instead we were treated as if we were idiots for coming into a restaurant at 8pm thinking that dinner would be a reasonable idea. Offered a table my 🍑...

It was my first time eating Scottish food, and I couldn't recommend it any more. The haggis and the seafood were excellent, and the service fast and mannered. If you ever want to have an affordable and authentic lunch in Leigh it's a must

Had lunch here today and can't recommend it enough. The food was superb, huge portions and excellent customer service. Will definitely drive 2 hours again in future for a meal.

This restaurant was recommended and we went for lunch. We both ordered a main course and I asked if it was possible to order a portion of potato cakes (an accompaniment to the goulash). Yes - so we ordered. When meal came the waitress brought 2 mains ordered plus goulash and potato cakes. I told her we only ordered potato cakes so she took the goulash back! When the bill came she had charged me for 3 mains.....we had the same discussion.......in the end she charged me £9 for a portion of potato cakes! Too much but goes to show the potential problems of splitting meals etc. In general, food was decent and portions v big and I didn't think it was v expensive. Specifically, the mash was coldish, the potato cakes were a bit greasy. There were lots of noisy kids so.....

There is an exceptionally pleasant Polish. In general, the cuisine provided is of outstanding quality, and the portion sizes are impressively generous. It would serve as an excellent choice not just for food enthusiasts but also for individuals who are traveling.

Best pub in Leith cracking staff and great food one of the last traditional Leith pubs long may it continue.They still welcome the traditional football crowd on match days which are becoming a dieing breed sad to say .

That’s was ours the best polish restaurant we travel here from Stonehaven because that’s was worth that till today:( Table book for 19:00 order food about 5 min . Nice staff back to us from kitchen and say it’s busy must wait for food about 40 min- we say ok. Still new people come in on this time. After 1 hour and 43 min until we get our order what was not this fantastic taste like usual . Żurek w chlebku podany w misce , kotlet z kapusta zasmażana dostałam bez kapusty tylko z marchewka jeśli już czekam 1:43 min to mam nadzieje ze zjem jak tego oczekuje niestety coś sie zmieniło w tej knajpie i to czuć na talerzu . Dla nas to była niestety ostatnia wycieczka do Ediego na pyszne jedzonko

We were staying in the area and saw The Percy and saw it had good reviews. We walked there and were welcomed with such smiling faces. Our server was a young girl who was so nice and polite. The restaurant isn't huge and has beautiful woodwork. We started with the Smalec. Which we found out isn't the healthiest, but who cares? lol. We ate it right up. It's so amazing, and when we return home, I'm going to try and make it for my friends and family. So tasty and a must! We then shared the perogies and pork schnitzel. And WOW! This meal has to be the best I've had in my 2 weeks of travel. The perogies had such tasty filling I could have eaten those for the rest of my life. The schnitzel was tremendous as well. The sauerkraut was something I have never had. So tasty with seasoning and the perfect amount of vinegar to cut the schnitzel. If you are in the area this place is a must! It's soul food and if you're sad or under a cloud, come here and the food here will make you smile! I had to ask the sever if there was someone's grandmother in the back. The food was simply delightful. I would eat their for the rest of my trip if I could!! Enjoy!
