The Pear Tree in Hackney

Reservamos este indio debido a su ubicación en nuestro teatro y la opción de utilizar nuestra tarjeta de sabor para el 25% de descuento. Cuando llegamos estábamos sentados en una mesa en la ventana. El menú era bastante limitado en comparación con los indios a los que normalmente vamos, por ejemplo, opciones limitadas de sabores de arroz y curry. Nuestra comida llegó rápidamente, pero los sabores bastante sosos y diluidos. Cuando fuimos a pagar mostramos nuestra tarjeta de sabor a nuestro servidor y él dijo “tienes que reservar previamente”. Le mostré mi reserva y me dijo “no dijiste que estabas usando una tarjeta de sabor”. Respondí “no dice que tengas que hacerlo”. Él respondió: “Sí, lo sé, pero nos gusta saber, ya que tendemos a rechazar a las personas con tarjetas de sabor”. (Si ese es el caso, entonces no se pongan en la oferta!) Finalmente aceptó nuestro descuento. No regresaré. Casas de curry mucho mejores en Londres en otros lugares con mejor servicio.

Ordered via ubereats. Got food home, Lamb Rogan... NO Lamb. Chicken Madras.. THREE pieces of chicken and 2 lumps of potato. The dips were nothing more than a thimble full. 4 popadums two of which were that stale you could bend them into 4 WITHOUT breaking them. Rang ubereats and was given a paltry £3.42 refund. Rang the restaurant and was called a liar being told there was 8 pieces of chicken (see for yourself) Manager never called back despite being told he would. The only decent thing was the rice and the raita. Don't waste your money 8 quid for a curry sauce and 7 quid for half portion of Madras.

Absolutely delicious, authentic, flavourful food with friendly service. We had butter chicken, chicken Korma, chicken curry the waiter suggested and of course naan (garlic & cheese). Yum!
