A very enjoyable meal served in nicely furnished, clean but cosy surroundings. An inviting atmosphere, which was just the 'right level' of busy when we were there. Hot food on hot plates, with noticeably better vegetarian options than the norm. It was just what we wanted. Service from Katelyn was warm and professional, and we will certainly return when we're in the area again.

We decided to have a meal here after a day out with friends . We were met by friendly staff and shown to our table . After browsing the drinks menu an order was placed so then it was on to the food menu . The staff member came over when we’re ready and told us that some of the meat was unavailable for the trio of roasts which was a shame as it was only early evening and there would be plenty of disappointed people coming in after us . Order placed and after a little wait out it popped from the kitchen . It wasn’t over hot when it arrived and we started so it didn’t get any colder. The trio which it what I went for was ok not exciting but enough for a Sunday lunch. The potatoes were a bit hard but other than that it was ok. We decided to finish off with a coffee and small desert which was really enough at the end of the meal .

We were served my Mia who was incredibly helpful and friendly. We were a table of 11, the food was impeccable and it was a really enjoyable experience. Will definitely be coming back

Came into the peacock today on the off chance and boy we wasn’t disappointed! Food was fresh, hot and tasty service with a smile is always a bonus to! Was very busy we were found a table pretty much straight away. Amazon choice of drink both alcoholic and none with a great selection of mock tails. We’ll be back!

Came in for dinner booked online, Was seated very quickly drinks order taken our waitress was very chatty and helpful with out being to over bearing. We had fish and chips all round very tasty and good value for money! Will be back to the peacock very soon!

My family came here for a birthday meal and the staff and food were lovely. Our servers were really friendly and efficient.

The pub was so quiet at first we thought it was closed. Numerous things on the menu not available. Two out of the six of us had ok meals, me and the other three had garbage. It was expensive and small portions. Fortunately small portions in my case was a bonus as I was up all night puking. One of the others had the same physical experience. I will never ever set foot in that place again as just thinking about it makes me feel like vomiting again. A very unpleasant experience

Lovely settings/surroundings, down country lanes. Nice environment inside. Garden area outside looks like it would be nice in the summer. Ellie was a great hostess, really friendly and attentive. Food was good and portions are huge. (The 'miniature' dessert was what I consider regular sized). Prices are about standard for a pub lunch - two mains, two desserts, and two soft drinks came to £50. Will definitely be back.

I have been here many times and had good food however this week I have tried MANY MANY times to increase the number of my upcoming booking and NEVER been able to get anyone to answer the phone. I have left messages on 5 occasions and not once had a reply so now, myself and my guests will be turning up tomorrow with NO CLUE as to wether they can fit us in or not. Robots will never replace human beings and yet this pub chain gives me no one to speak other than a robot name Claire!!! However good the food is or the service is, if your customers are NEVER able to speak to a person who works there it can very easily put them off ever coming again in preference for somewhere where humans are available to speak to !!!

We had an excellent meal in the Peacock Inn yesterday., 21st March. Food was well presented, hot and very tasty. Our server Danielle, was very courteous, friendly and professional and explained everything that we needed to know. I would recommend a visit and I'm sure you will be warmly welcomed.

The Peacock seating has lots of nooks and crannies so you're not on top of each other and can have a private conversation if needs be.
