One of the best bar, better than solomon cutler which is only a few meters ahead.

For a Wetherspoons it is everything you expect Massively busy place with not too many staff, plenty of food choices on the menu and food value for money. Tables could have been cleaner, floor was a bit dirty but I think the place is so busy the staff just do the best they can

Came in for a quick drink and Joe was great! He was very easy to talk to and was super welcoming! Thank you Joe! 💪🏻

Wetherspoons fair served by a really friendly bunch of staff. As always at a great price especially compared to the near by pubs.

I hadn't been in for ages, as the last few times a few years ago, they never seemed to have any 'nelson mandela' (Stella), but it was great when I went in recently. Only pulled in on the off chance after going to the Solomon Cutler, and I was more impressed by the Figure of Eight this time around. Keep up the great work 🍻

Dirty table, nobody bothered to come round to wipe our table after requesting this at the bar. Food was not enjoyable, not even average. On the plus side, it looks quite a nice place and could be just that with a bit more effort and better food. And Strongbow is back which was good. But I' ll gladly pay more somewhere else going forward.

Servers are amazing, especially jacob who was on the floor that night with incredable service <3

Service was quick, food ordered was OK at first ordered the small plates to share, but later on that evening both myself and partner got really bad sickness, this was the only food we shared, there was homeless people walking round asking for money, one homeless man because I didn't have changed, took a piece of chicken from our plates instead, 100% the worse wetherspoons we have visited and would not return

Typical Weatherspoons, very busy because of the cheap drinks, but this was probably the worst burger I've ever had. I couldn't even finish it. Staff were lovely.

Spending a few days in Birmingham

Wetherspoons are basically all the same. This one is right in the middle of Broad St, close to other pubs and clubs. It's large, with a huge beer garden, an ideal spot to start off.

Routine trip to this wetherspoons before a visit to Utilita Arena for Justin Timberlake. 2 x burgers ordered with a complimentary pint. Arrived in quick time, no frills hot and good value for money.

Excellent in all respects. Prompt service. Very friendly waitress. Plenty of condiments. Coffee refills are excellent value for money. Charging points at some tables. Relaxed. Prices have increased considerably in the last 2 years but still competitive for Birmingham city.

Great service and friendly atmosphere

Been here a few times in the past and I like the venue and the majority of the staff seem friendly enough however they really shouldn't have the sign for another nights offers propped up against the bar, it might be titled with that particular days offer but if it's not that day why is it up? It's misleading especially when it's advertised with big pictures of the drinks people would usually buy at a reduced price, if you're gonna advertise offers especially right by the point of service it should be offers for that day and if there are none then don't put up signs by the bar as if there is

By far the best Witherspoon's I've visited through out the country the staff are fast great at there job the pub and beer garden is well kept a lovely sun trap with an amazing water feature very relaxed and a nice place to read and get on with invoices the staff a exceptional to many to mention but the blonde manager is a gem I can't recall a name don't lose her amazing personality and people skills.

Had a great experience here yet again, simplicity is key, very affordable, very accommodating and always a relaxed environment! Great beer garden too with a lovely tranquil display of the centre of the yard.

One of the barmen was aggressive towards one of my friends who was Black we think this was a racist verbal attack. It seemed targetted. My friends saw & heard more than I did. We all left.

Poor quality and poorly presented food, (American cheese burger)twice returned to kitchen and rejected both times, after challenging the cook to tell him of my disgust I was served a fresh meal which was still of poor quality and presentation but was at least just about edible. Some staff were rude and some were pleasant but overall a very disappointing experience, a pity as I do usually enjoy Wetherspoons pubs

Absolutely the worst food I have ever experienced in a Wetherspoons! Very disappointing, beer was fine atmosphere was good, but the food was substandard. We sent a double American burger back that was shocking, inedible, dry and practically cremated. The person who served us was not interested in our complaint we had to speak with the chef and he did deal with it and replace the meal. We also had Wiltshire Ham & eggs, the ham was dark on one side & pink on the other, so had been standing out for some time, the portion can only be described as a child’s portion. We will not be coming back. What a shame Wetherspoons certainly need to get a grip of the figure of eight Broad street. Being busy is not a prerequisite to serving substandard food. Steve Kennedy

Friendly staff good beer and food very busy great place to enjoy yourself

Standard Wetherspoons fare, big spaces, plenty tables, mostly wiped, zero atmosphere. Food is adequate, clearly not going to stand out, but very reasonably priced. Group in for brunch, place was dead, but staff were fine. Some ordered via app, others did it the old fashioned way. All delivered promptly and accurately. Free coffee refills always a welcome touch. Food fine, nothing to write home about, but it's hard to argue with the value.

Witherspoon on broad street staff are good so not waiting long

Hi this fat manager thought we was Slovenian after the England game, he fully barred us after we came in for no reason obviously on a racist biased, we ordered chips and garlic bread and one drink each. It’s totally unacceptable for this to happen just because England lost we're not even Slovenian, I’m so angry I can’t even believe this has just happened to us. It’s absolute racism at its finest I’m fully ready to sue. Sort this out now or I will. It’s totally unacceptable I’m absolutely fuming at the situation I can’t even comprehend how much I hate this spoons now it’s vile.

It’s a typical Spoons, cavernous with tables laid out in a matrix. Food was disappointing. My jacket potato was overcooked and served with a tiny spoonful of chilli with a skin on it.

Absolutely good place. Delicious food, for good price and quality.

The Figure of Eight is very nice

its alright, nothing to write home about, though, the drinks are what should be drawing you in, the food should always be an after thought for going to spoons for. Though that pizza they have will have a reserved spot on my list of reasons to possibly go into a spoons. That being said, if you're creative enough, you can make some monstrocities out of the available drinks, but just a heads up, these drinks do not belong to the cheapest, it is central birmingham so don't be surprised. Place is a bog standard weatherspoons, so nothing special.

The place itself is good but the people who enter this place are scum. Only approach pubs in Broad Street on daytime hours or you may get attacked.

I go for BREAKFAST and enjoy it's fresh and hot with the plate hot and coffee it's good value and worth a trip the staff are a happy bunch off poeple

"Pasta Alfredo", the saltiest food I've ever eaten, to the point my lips and stomach are burning, sort out the recipe ffs.

Typical Wetherspoons pub. Very busy on a Saturday. Food was OK, what you would expect again in a Wetherspoons. Very loud in there though. If you want a quiet chilled drink, this is not somewhere I would recommend.

As with most Wetherspoons, there are good drinks at good prices. This one was quite busy as it was Friday night on Broad Street. I ordered at the bar first, and the staff were great, very friendly and polite. More importantly, they know how to pour a decent pint, unlike the last pub I'd been to this week. I then downloaded the app to try for the first time. I was impressed with how quick my drink came to the table, but something was a little off with it. There was a cherry flavour in there, I'm thinking it was because they accidentally used cherry pepsi max instead of the standard pepsi max I'd ordered. I'm hoping it wasn't some kind of cherry liqueur instead of JD. Drank it anyway and moved on. The place looks so different to when I used to pop in 15-20 years ago.

Really poor security staff over aggressive to a minor occurrence that a friends did thay vaped which they knew was wrong but were told not to so thats ok agaun he vaped which was wrong but then to be surtounded by numerous secuirty staff was very scary we all in our late 60s our drinks were snatched off us and we were told to leavevand ushered out by your security staff very loudly and aggressively. Is this aggressiveness apart of your training regime for your security staff?

Drinks are varied and value for money but very packed during the day

Very busy on a Saturday before a concert at the Utilita arena so the service was slow. However, pizza was good and the atmosphere enjoyable!

-10000 I think I am still in shock disbelief and keep reliving it from last night being chucked out lol By simply asking for where our drinks were after 50 mins We traveled from 2 hours to a concert with my children 19 met friends taxi driver due to parking I sat on table on my own not to embarrass them as the mum lol My daughter ordered from their table through app my son bringing my food to my table the food took a long time 5pm we ordered we had no drinks at all feeling mow Ill. asked a young lady waitress politely She said I will go and find out I thanked her nothing happened I then asked a tall man in a blue shirt He was quite abrupt nothing again. He said we told you three was a wait on drinks bizarre what 59 mins I then asked another short male he was the duty mgr I saw his badge He was rude and very aggressive I explained then feeling very upset in his rude manner we had waited long time for the meals with no drinks and all the group was about to leave to go to the concert He walked off he then returned He was displaying very aggressive body language I am disabled and I have physical disability and mental health ptsd I carry a access card for that reason He asked what did they order I said I don’t know I repeated this twice he then proceeded ny telling me to He said you’re being agressive! I was so so shocked thought he was joking I said the only one being aggressive is you I then said sorry not Sure me telling you I didn’t order they did on the table I also explained i was not the only one that i. was disabled I need the drink I an in pain I feel ill He said ‘ just because your disabled that doesn’t give you the right to be agressive I said I an not I truly thought he was messing around he was not he got his thug security to ask me to leave in disbelief I left My children texting me where are you I was shaking I felt I was going to pass out as needed my drink . I asked to speak to the mgr he seemed ok he said he had to down load the camera he didn’t apologise so I think this is a regular thing this shocking chuckling 56 year old disabled vulnerable lady mother and carer out for Just asking where there drinks were bizarre !!! This is a unsafe environment and one must get fully investigated this is a very scary place hs dangerous He didn’t Appolgise even when I told him he has a mgr that truly is a danger making stuff up about customers in fact he is the aggressive person I got a disgusting drink in a paper cup giving after asking for it Pepsi max I asked for another he wasn’t happy large bold headed male but returned with another that was fine k thanked him I was made to stand outside I said you got a serious issue here i wonder you contact the police not wanting to embarrass my children and the group I asked a parking attendant I had taken a picture of this duty manage he had refused to give his no c The parking attendant says he work doing events and this male mgr was known to be am extremely aggressive person they had had issues with Looking at reviews here there are some very disturbing reviews of bullying I intimidating behaviour displayed from the mgt I an now going to ask fur the camera footage and investigation by weatherspoos this young man need to anger mgt disability training The customer s have rights to I am still in shock embarrassing intimidating behaviour and also being left outside no were to sit in Cronic pain no drink after feeling faint waiting 50 mins and after our long wait for out meals We have s lovely weatherspoons in our town I am in shock this is even has the same brand name weather spoons on it It had an effect on me the rest of the night and still reliving the trauma This little aggressive mgr shouldn’t be working as framing and telling lies about customers to deflect on your his own bad mgt and aggressive provoking behaviour I have seen a few reviews on here similar description of this male mgr i will never come back to Birmingham ever disgusted it’s not a safe place I Would. Came in before a show. Ordered 2 drinks & some food via the app. Nothing on the app about waiting time. After 20 minutes no drinks or food had arrived. When I asked the waiting staff I was told it was at least 30 mins wait even for a drink - better off going to the bar but as I had already paid , it was tough, we’d have to wait. Not impressed. It is only 5.30pm!

Another good Birmingham pub, with quick service

We went to this pub Friday evening and Saturday morning both times we sat tables with plates and glasses on staff walk past without removing the plates etc we had to ask both days to have our tables cleared and cleaned, can’t understand why they can’t take empty plates etc with them when they bring meals and drinks etc out also both coffee machines broke down whilst we were there, for a city centre pub it’s not a good example I’ve been in far better weatherspoons than this one ,

I am one of the few people that have just left this place because of the poor service. Girl seen me waiting even smiled and still served everybody left and right of me knowing I was waiting. First time in years out in Birmingham and it will definitely be the last. Deliberately serving either side, never again.

Another okay wetherspoons, fairly busy even on a Wednesday evening. Large beer garden. Food was exactly as you would expect with reasonably fast service.

Great place to drink in the city. The prices are higher than other Wetherspoons outside of the city, but that is to be expected. Not tried the food here yet, but the food I have seen looks okay. Can get quite bust and loud during Fri and Sat evenings, but again, that is to be expected.

When the bar staff have to wear bodycams you know it's not going to be great. If you love the full Wetherspoons experience, this is the place for you though.

Amazing place, good food but service not great ordered food and drink, food came and lady ask to change wine as not available so we were waiting for drinks after waiting started eating finished food and we still waiting and I see the lady that ask says to there friends going home I worked enough today but hello lady you didn't bring my drinks. After my husband went on bar drinks were ready on try but no one thinking serve the drinks and when he brought the drink the wine was warm it means was there for long. Little things like this ruin someone lunch, very upset because I.have to swallow the wine all together as we were late.

I highly recommend any of the food and if you like cocktails then I highly recommend the pitchers as they are great value for money

Me and my partner decided to do Birmingham city center wetherspoons tour a few weeks back and we rated each one 🤣🤣. There are 6 to go into in the city centre. The figure of 8 unfortunately came 6th on our ranking.

Yesterday, I was seated at table 37 where I ordered a hot and spicy chicken dish priced at £12.01. Unfortunately, the chicken served to me was burnt and inedible. I promptly brought this issue to the attention of the staff, explaining that I could not consume it. Despite my complaint, the staff member insisted that this was the standard preparation method for the chicken. Regrettably, instead of offering a refund, he simply took the dish away. Consequently, I was left with no choice but to order a vegetarian burger at an additional cost.

This is a very informal pub. It serves a large range of alcoholic drinks and a basic pub menu with different meals on special every day.The food is reasonable for the price paid. Service at the bar is good and the staff are very pleasant

Vegan pizza was great, pizza base could’ve been slightly thicker so the vegetables don’t soak the thin dough, nice chips. Ordered a double vodka Pepsi with the meal and received maybe half a single. I ordered both blue lagoon and woo woo pitchers which were ridiculously watered down. Not sure if it’s a branch thing as Solomon Cutlers drinks are really weak too. Good atmosphere.

Just like most spoons, ordered on the app and my drink took forever to come.
