Arrived with friends on a night out and my fiancé tripped on the edge of the bar as it was crowded. The bald guy behind the bar, manager I’m assuming? Point blank refused to serve him claiming he was drunk, which was 100% not the case, we had only just arrived and he hadn’t even had a drink. Even though we had witnesses he was refused service, and we were told the rest of our party can be served as long as he leaves the premises. Have enjoyed this Spoons in the past but after that incident will not be coming back. Very rude!!

Nice food ,fish & chips with mushy peas, the only problem was curry sauce wasn't hot enough could have done with a few seconds in the microwave,other than that , it was a nice experience. Very quiet Sunday early afternoon

It's been a pub I've visited for many, many years. I was there for some food on 15th December. Staff were friendly and hard working. Unfortunately though every touch point was sticky. Bar, doors, tables, etc. I put me off wanting to eat there again.

Near our hotel so v handy to pop in pre and post meal! Usually found table for the 4 of us. Excellent value drinks.

We were lucky enough to find a table as it was very busy. Both had the large breakfast. It was really lovely but I was unable to eat all mine. Husband finished it off lol. The staff were friendly and were constantly clearing and cleaning tables as soon as the people left so looked clean and tidy too. Would recommend.

Ordered large breakfast eggs was hard then toast on my breakfast all ready had butter on it so you know it was of someone else plate what if I had allergic to the butter thay need to get better cooks that can cook instead of throwing any thing out

We visited on Friday 2 weeks before Xmas. The place was packed but the staff was doing everything they could to deliver food and drinks promptly. Very impressed with mixed grill.

The Figure of Eight in Birmingham has consistently been a venue I’ve enjoyed visiting. Its classy and sophisticated atmosphere sets it apart. It was always highly regarded for its well maintained interiors and, with its central location and overall quality, this lication is a top choice for dining and social gatherings in Birmingham.

A group of us had some drinks in the evening, it was busy, and then we had Breakfast the next morning. The small Breakfast was ideal for me, the full Breakfast looked like too much for me. Overall it was good value.

-10000 I think I am still in shock disbelief and keep reliving it from last night being chucked out lol By simply asking for where our drinks were after 50 mins We traveled from 2 hours to a concert with my children 19 met friends taxi driver due to parking I sat on table on my own not to embarrass them as the mum lol My daughter ordered from their table through app my son bringing my food to my table the food took a long time 5pm we ordered we had no drinks at all feeling mow Ill. asked a young lady waitress politely She said I will go and find out I thanked her nothing happened I then asked a tall man in a blue shirt He was quite abrupt nothing again. He said we told you three was a wait on drinks bizarre what 59 mins I then asked another short male he was the duty mgr I saw his badge He was rude and very aggressive I explained then feeling very upset in his rude manner we had waited long time for the meals with no drinks and all the group was about to leave to go to the concert He walked off he then returned He was displaying very aggressive body language I am disabled and I have physical disability and mental health ptsd I carry a access card for that reason He asked what did they order I said I don’t know I repeated this twice he then proceeded ny telling me to He said you’re being agressive! I was so so shocked thought he was joking I said the only one being aggressive is you I then said sorry not Sure me telling you I didn’t order they did on the table I also explained i was not the only one that i. was disabled I need the drink I an in pain I feel ill He said ‘ just because your disabled that doesn’t give you the right to be agressive I said I an not I truly thought he was messing around he was not he got his thug security to ask me to leave in disbelief I left My children texting me where are you I was shaking I felt I was going to pass out as needed my drink . I asked to speak to the mgr he seemed ok he said he had to down load the camera he didn’t apologise so I think this is a regular thing this shocking chuckling 56 year old disabled vulnerable lady mother and carer out for Just asking where there drinks were bizarre !!! This is a unsafe environment and one must get fully investigated this is a very scary place hs dangerous He didn’t Appolgise even when I told him he has a mgr that truly is a danger making stuff up about customers in fact he is the aggressive person I got a disgusting drink in a paper cup giving after asking for it Pepsi max I asked for another he wasn’t happy large bold headed male but returned with another that was fine k thanked him I was made to stand outside I said you got a serious issue here i wonder you contact the police not wanting to embarrass my children and the group I asked a parking attendant I had taken a picture of this duty manage he had refused to give his no c The parking attendant says he work doing events and this male mgr was known to be am extremely aggressive person they had had issues with Looking at reviews here there are some very disturbing reviews of bullying I intimidating behaviour displayed from the mgt I an now going to ask fur the camera footage and investigation by weatherspoos this young man need to anger mgt disability training The customer s have rights to I am still in shock embarrassing intimidating behaviour and also being left outside no were to sit in Cronic pain no drink after feeling faint waiting 50 mins and after our long wait for out meals We have s lovely weatherspoons in our town I am in shock this is even has the same brand name weather spoons on it It had an effect on me the rest of the night and still reliving the trauma This little aggressive mgr shouldn’t be working as framing and telling lies about customers to deflect on your his own bad mgt and aggressive provoking behaviour I have seen a few reviews on here similar description of this male mgr i will never come back to Birmingham ever disgusted it’s not a safe place I Would. Had the pleasure of visiting figure of eight for a pre concert meal on the 27th November ,the pub is warm ,clean and the staff are exceptional at customer service ,you are made to feel welcome ,very attentive to making sure your food is ok ,cleaning the tables and most important conversing with the customers . The food was nicely cooked , presented and good value. Special hands up to Jay ,Callum ,the young lady who was collecting glasses and also a lovely ,charming young lady who I did not get her name but she delivered the food to the table.

He estado aquí antes y escribí una crítica positiva... Me complace decir que La Figura de los Ocho es tan buena, si no mejor, de lo que era antes (hace un par de años). Claro, es solo una Wetherspoon's pero Jada sirvió con mucho cuidado, consideración y cortesía. Gav también era servicial con los clientes, siempre ocupado alrededor e incluso nos preguntó, al pasar, si la comida estaba bien. Como digo, es solo un Wetherspoon's, pero recibimos un servicio genuinamente conectado, a veces falta en lugares más considerados. Como le dije al gerente antes de partir, él y su equipo han representado muy bien su marca y ciudad. Gracias a todos.

Eşimle yol üstünde görüp girdik. Kahvaltı yaptık. Kahvaltısı fena değildi yumurtayı fazla pişirmişler. Ama fiyatları gerçekten uygun. Eşim tost ekmeği ve reçel söyledi ben english breakfast söyledim. İçecek sınırsız. Bardağınızla gidip alıyorsunuz. Toplam 8-10 pound civarı bir şey ödedik sanırım. Gerçekten çok uygun o yüzden 4 puan veriyorum.

I've been here before and wrote a positive review... I'm pleased to say that The Figure of Eight is as good, if not better, than it wad before (a couple of years ago). Sure, it's only a Wetherspoon's but Jada served with great care, consideration and politeness. Gav also was supportive of customers, always busying around and even asked us, as he passed, if the food was okay. As I say, it's only a Wetherspoon's but we received a genuinely connected service sometimes lacking in more regarded venues. As I said to the manager before leaving, he and his team have represented their brand and city very well. Thanks to all.

I popped in for a glass of water and ended up buying a meal and a couple of drinks, mainly because Will made me laugh. Also very good service from the young woman with her hair tied up, recommending me a milk fried chicken burger - it was good but gone in 5 minutes as I was hungry.

Another wetherspoons, right next to my hotel so that was ideal. Lots of history surrounding this one as well. Loved it

Stood at the end of the bar as a couple for a good couple of hours then rudely told to move by the bar staff to make room for glasses. We’ve been to lots of spoons bars but this is the worst. Rude staff and terrible atmosphere.

We were in Birmingham for a few days and frequented the Pub most days at lunchtime and evening for a meal and a pint ... Nothing to complain about the food, drinks or service as you know what to expect from a "Spoons" ... But after 10:30 pm it gets busy and noisy ! ... Checks are made by staff on those felt to be under 21 years of age, excellent ... The pub has a large beer garden with some cover ... Unfortunately this facility did not stop many customers Vaping quite openly inside ! ... Not what you would expect ! ... Had to leave as I am Asthmatic and it made me feel vulnerable.

This is like any other spoons the food was good service not bad at all the coffee was cold and the station breakdown on us but the staff fixed it and all was good again.

A perfect place to eat, as there is a wide variety of food and drinks. Everything is ordered through an app, therefore, you have time to think about what you want for dinner. Despite being almost full, we had a pleasant time.

I’ve been to this Wetherspoons a few times and had an absolutely great night. Unfortunately that was all undone in the space of 30 seconds. I was with a few of my friends waiting for our drinks when we were informed that our ordered drink was unavailable. My friend re-ordered a drink that was available. I turned to the service man to order the same but he was already walking off. Assuming he thought that me and my friend would get the same and so ordered the drinks as such. The next thing that happened is the same service man was telling us to leave because apparently I had waved my middle finger at him when he walked off. This was completely incorrect as I would never do this to a person doing their job fixing an inconvenience that was not their fault. He gave us no chance to explain ourselves despite the rest of our group protesting my innocence. We were removed from the building, with everyone more confused than angry about why we were actually being removed. I’m disappointed I didn’t get the service man’s name as I would love to credit this act of insanity to a person. Luckily the security man on the door was a man of greater awareness and directed our group to an alternative establishment. Thoroughly disappointed and we will not be returning and will warn everyone else who said they are going to this pub. I’m sure one man is not representative of the collective but never the less, he has soured our opinions of the establishment in question. Shame. I had previously enjoyed some great memories here.

A good place for a meal out on your own or with friends

Sticky dirty tables, grubby menus, food on the floor around the tables. We walked out.

I ordered a vodka and coke with ice, sorry no ice 1 minute later 2 people were served with 2 large jugs of cocktails, full of ICE, I asked again for ice in my drink guess what NO ICE.

Exactly what you have come to expect from the Wetherspoon brand, no matter what city or town you're in, we visited this location when in Birmingham for a gig and it was the perfect spot for a drink and a bite to eat at a time that suited. The service was great, really friendly staff and a short wait for our food to arrive and usual decent prices. Would recommend and definitely visit again if in the area

The manager was very rude and aggressive towards my friend who was trying to order a drink at her turn in line. He seemed pissed off and others mentioned a constant scowl look on his face. In another incident, I was pushed by someone behind me and according to the manager I bumped into a bartender and a drink was spilled. I had no idea this had happened as I wasn’t facing the bar but instead a group of friends at a table in the corner. The manager came over, berated me, kicked me out and when I asked why he explained the bumping situation mentioned earlier. Then he proceeded to accuse me of ill intent because I didn’t apologize when it happened. As soon as I was told, I told him I didn’t know and I was sorry for my part in it. I explained that I should have been paying attention to where I was going and will pay for the drink. But he kept yelling at me to get out and when I asked what I can do to fix it and make things right, I was berated further. After talking to security, I gathered that the manager was fed up because the place was getting too crowded and he took the bad mood out on me. As I was leaving other customers who witnessed the situation explained that it was just a wrong place, wrong time thing and to not take it to heart.

Lovely pub. A cut above most Wetherspoons, as it's a little detached from the City Centre. Food always reasonably priced, as is the wine.

Llegué a una conferencia y me dirigieron aquí por seguridad ya que no podía encontrar ningún otro lugar abierto. Bonito local grande y se sentía un poco como el día después del centro. Todo tipo de personas estaban comiendo, el pub estaba limpio y ordenado. El personal era muy servicial, atento y muy feliz, lo cual es genial para un domingo por la mañana. El ambiente es perfecto. Gran desayuno cocinado con recargas de té ilimitado.

We had steak and chips. I would have liked some vegetables with it. Atmosphere is always friendly both customers and staff.

I hadn't been in for ages, as the last few times a few years ago, they never seemed to have any 'nelson mandela' (Stella), but it was great when I went in recently. Only pulled in on the off chance after going to the Solomon Cutler, and I was more impressed by the Figure of Eight this time around. Keep up the great work 🍻

Dirty table, nobody bothered to come round to wipe our table after requesting this at the bar. Food was not enjoyable, not even average. On the plus side, it looks quite a nice place and could be just that with a bit more effort and better food. And Strongbow is back which was good. But I' ll gladly pay more somewhere else going forward.

Service was quick, food ordered was OK at first ordered the small plates to share, but later on that evening both myself and partner got really bad sickness, this was the only food we shared, there was homeless people walking round asking for money, one homeless man because I didn't have changed, took a piece of chicken from our plates instead, 100% the worse wetherspoons we have visited and would not return

Wetherspoons are basically all the same. This one is right in the middle of Broad St, close to other pubs and clubs. It's large, with a huge beer garden, an ideal spot to start off.

Routine trip to this wetherspoons before a visit to Utilita Arena for Justin Timberlake. 2 x burgers ordered with a complimentary pint. Arrived in quick time, no frills hot and good value for money.

Excellent in all respects. Prompt service. Very friendly waitress. Plenty of condiments. Coffee refills are excellent value for money. Charging points at some tables. Relaxed. Prices have increased considerably in the last 2 years but still competitive for Birmingham city.

Been here a few times in the past and I like the venue and the majority of the staff seem friendly enough however they really shouldn't have the sign for another nights offers propped up against the bar, it might be titled with that particular days offer but if it's not that day why is it up? It's misleading especially when it's advertised with big pictures of the drinks people would usually buy at a reduced price, if you're gonna advertise offers especially right by the point of service it should be offers for that day and if there are none then don't put up signs by the bar as if there is

By far the best Witherspoon's I've visited through out the country the staff are fast great at there job the pub and beer garden is well kept a lovely sun trap with an amazing water feature very relaxed and a nice place to read and get on with invoices the staff a exceptional to many to mention but the blonde manager is a gem I can't recall a name don't lose her amazing personality and people skills.

One of the barmen was aggressive towards one of my friends who was Black we think this was a racist verbal attack. It seemed targetted. My friends saw & heard more than I did. We all left.

Poor quality and poorly presented food, (American cheese burger)twice returned to kitchen and rejected both times, after challenging the cook to tell him of my disgust I was served a fresh meal which was still of poor quality and presentation but was at least just about edible. Some staff were rude and some were pleasant but overall a very disappointing experience, a pity as I do usually enjoy Wetherspoons pubs

Absolutely the worst food I have ever experienced in a Wetherspoons! Very disappointing, beer was fine atmosphere was good, but the food was substandard. We sent a double American burger back that was shocking, inedible, dry and practically cremated. The person who served us was not interested in our complaint we had to speak with the chef and he did deal with it and replace the meal. We also had Wiltshire Ham & eggs, the ham was dark on one side & pink on the other, so had been standing out for some time, the portion can only be described as a child’s portion. We will not be coming back. What a shame Wetherspoons certainly need to get a grip of the figure of eight Broad street. Being busy is not a prerequisite to serving substandard food. Steve Kennedy

Good quick service on food and drink. Nice looking pub.

Standard Wetherspoons fare, big spaces, plenty tables, mostly wiped, zero atmosphere. Food is adequate, clearly not going to stand out, but very reasonably priced. Group in for brunch, place was dead, but staff were fine. Some ordered via app, others did it the old fashioned way. All delivered promptly and accurately. Free coffee refills always a welcome touch. Food fine, nothing to write home about, but it's hard to argue with the value.

Hi this fat manager thought we was Slovenian after the England game, he fully barred us after we came in for no reason obviously on a racist biased, we ordered chips and garlic bread and one drink each. It’s totally unacceptable for this to happen just because England lost we're not even Slovenian, I’m so angry I can’t even believe this has just happened to us. It’s absolute racism at its finest I’m fully ready to sue. Sort this out now or I will. It’s totally unacceptable I’m absolutely fuming at the situation I can’t even comprehend how much I hate this spoons now it’s vile.

It’s a typical Spoons, cavernous with tables laid out in a matrix. Food was disappointing. My jacket potato was overcooked and served with a tiny spoonful of chilli with a skin on it.
