House of Fraser in Birmingham

Obviously not the whole place at all. Visited Evans and there was not a single member of staff to be seen anywhere. This was the same for Game.

The ONLY place in Sutton coldfield worth visiting for clothes and coffee!!!

I've used this store for many years. Buying clothes and household items. I purchased a bag today. Needed to use the toilets only to be told that they are for cafe users only. Are store customers of no value any longer?? Apart from the makeup and fragrance staff, none of the other staff seem to want to be there

Compared to the House of Fraser in Birmingham City Centre I thought the Sutton Coldfield store was much better laid out with more assistants. Every time I visited Sutton I would go in this store. However, today I went for a look around and wanted to use the Ladies Toilets only to find that they are only accessible to customers of their cafe. Disgraceful.

Always good stuff for whatever you are looking for

Went in but something then got told go out off the shop on each year mouth and days. When I was so nice others help them out speaking two them nicely when I was being a pouches by an man that was face angry and way he was talking no cares about you in thar shop just joke and don't bother go in there again

Rude staff mostly there don't want in there shop cause. There so much being nasty others and this company make me sick I wish this shut down this company for long never comeback two this mess shop again

I love House of Fraser but it's sadly a shadow of its former self 😔

Great place to shop in Sutton Coldfield. Great selection of mens clothing and shoes. Nice to see the whole ground floor full of quality products again. Lots of fragrances to pick from. Lots of staff to help out if needed. Some good value to be found if you look hard enough.

Large shop but don't seem to have much choice in it. Went for sandals but very disappointed. Evans bikes is good though on top floor.

My son went into to buy a bottle of prada aftershave...He was acussed of shoplifting buy a member of staff.which was a can of pop in his pocket..As a family we buy are products from here...Not even a apology from the member of staff.I was so angry I called the store...still waiting for a phone call back from the manager...I am discussed will never step foot in this shop again....my son went and purchased his aftershave from The fragrance shop lovely staff there

Worst shopping experience you can imagine !!

Restaurant is always the focus of our visits however, 14/4 was quiet and then we realised the prices were up, a standard cappurccino is still cheaper at £3.90 opposed to Costa's price £4.30.

Nice place to shop . The staff are very friendly. Dont go there often but when I do it's a nice place. Nice to treat myself. Happy days.

Nice to be in a proper House of Fraser. Good meal in there cafe/ restaurant. A bit of retail therapy that day.

For quality branded clothing, perfume, aftershave, shoes, good choice of gifts this I think is easily the best store in Sutton Coldfield. My shopping here has always been a pleasant experience. The staff here are excellent. Always pleasant, really helpful and knowledgeable. 💯

Staff are friendly. Good choice of products, store clean and tidy. The cafe is great too.

I trusted that the quality of food in House of Fraser will be good . So I ordered the advertised new Toast with Brie cheese . They had put a smelly melted cheese on an unhealthy white sourdough and they charged more than £6 for this unpleasant toast ! As I was hungry , forcefully I swallowed few chunks and could not eat the rest . Horrible food and horrible quality . They had no herbs but rocket which doesn't taste good .

Half the shop has shut down. Didn’t have any off the things I was looking for compared to the Sutton one. Thought a bigger store would have more stuff not less then the smaller one else where

Took my dad here after walking around Sutton, we had pizza & chips, scones with jam & cream, tea & coffee.....lovely.

Just been shopping in here for Christmas and I must say the staff are a joke! If you wanted to assist me that much you could have sprayed the perfumes for me and saved my fingers the work! Got some bloke in a multi coloured top having the cheek to judge other people and some woman with a scalf on her head walking round like she does the doors of weekend! Your customer service is shocking! What a waste of wages! Following paying customers

I'll never ever buy again from House of Fraser, £5 to deliver, £5 to return and they refunded me £5 less. Shame on them

Nice cafe and a good selection of goods It's just a shame about the state of the gents toilets. Absolutely disgusting. Sorry to comment, but they had not been cleaned for some time, and one was out of use. Such a shame.....

I bought Lacoste there. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere! Loads of products on offer.

Very nice environment. Good fresh selection of cakes and toasted sandwiches and other food options. Drinks decent. Ok so you do pay a little more, but it was a quiet and pleasant cafe. Been a few times and always good. Small pizza Focaccia bread salami and mozzarella toasted sandwich. Tea Coffee. Just under £20.

Still pretty empty of customers bit always well stocked.

Great products, brilliant cafe & very clean toilets

Nice department store well laid out with a good selection of things. Went to the Cafe on the ground floor. Bagels were nice, only gripe was they charged £10 for a sausage roll! Come on guys, be reasonable!

Great customer service from the young asain lady on the shoe department. This is the second time quite recently that I've been in and she has, on both occasions, helped me choose a pair of shoes!

This appears to be a discount store. Not my cup of tea but you could probably find some bargains.

I always visit Cafe Botanico when in the area. The food is varied and good, especially the interesting salads. The staff are unfailingly friendly and efficient.

Very good variety of products in the men's section. Some good offers and clearance. Be careful what to buy, do your research first because some of the clothes are overpriced. However, you may find really good offers. The late restructure of the floors was effective: men's shoes on the ground floor now.

So much prefer this department store than the one in Birmingham city centre so sad to see.

What's up with the attitude of the staff (especially the shoe section), used to be a much better place to shop. Also they don't refund money for returns according to their policy.

Very helpful stuff, always greets you with a smile and helping attitude .Nice collection over the shop. Smaller but Really good quality materials available.

Customer service has drastically went down quite a few notches, new staff & security guard are absolutely terrible .. Assistant Manager Emma is so rude, when we went there to ask for help with one of our recent purchases, she wouldn’t even listen and directly accused us of not using the product properly. Never had someone from customer service do that. She could have at least said that she would leave a review with the brand company and they’d might be able to look into this. Absolutely cheap & disrespectful behaviour !!!!!

Lovely cafe no complaints, great coffee, tea and treats. But the staff on the shop floor are so blatantly racist, also one elder female staff kept on walking around me and my husband like we were going to steal something!! Even after my purchase of a perfume she was looking at us and following us around!! Come here every week and make a purchase but not after today. Felt so bad being watched and made to feel so low.

Me and my friend’s experience in this store was extremely racist and disgusting. From the beginning we entered, and we’re given many dirty stares and looks from two specific staff. We eventually noticed one in particular kept continually following us around every part of the store. We feel this very racially motivated, as we were the only people of colour in the store. And nobody else was getting the same treatment as us. We felt so uncomfortable and disgusted we decided to leave the store. It’s sad that in 2023, young college students are getting racially profiled for just shopping like anyone else.Please do better!

spent £570 on hugo boss clothes. they wouldn't give me the hanger and even charged me for a carrier but apart from that all ok

I only visited the Givenchy counter but I was so pleased. The lovely lady tried foundation on me and found the perfect match. She didnt make me feel old or silly and I bought more than I had gone in for. Overall a great experience.

Looking for an outfit for my nieces wedding, very disappointed with the range, & quality of the overpriced stock ! In the past I've always been able to find something I liked in House of Fraser. No staff to help, the store looked empty! Definitely won't be visiting the store again

The restaurant/cafè on the ground floor is a nice place to eat, it has a variety of food which is quite reasonably priced. There is a new addition of GAME inside House of Fraser which is good

Fantastic customer service from Jeanette on the second floor. With no staff in Evans Cycles Jeanette managed to find the shoes I wanted to try on in the stockroom. They didn't fit, as I was leaving the store she ran up to say she had managed to find another size. Very surprised and pleased that a staff member would go to the effort of coming down from the second floor to try and find a customer before they left the store.

A clean and tidy location every time I pass by. You have a nice restaurant with a lounge area. Home products, makeup products, cycling products, clothing... etc. You got a nice parking area and you can get in very quickly in House of Fraser. Lifts are avalanche in the store and from the parking area and you have three motorised stairs. Nothing to complain :)

Dan he is around 40 years old as store manager, Terrible service. Manager is rude, Gesticulate and treats customers like dirt makes customers feel completely unwelcome. Has no idea how to talk to people in a civilised manner. Avoid. That’s why is always empty.

The cafe is absolutely fantastic.

Definitely one of the better House of Frasers I've been in. The cafe here makes all the difference. Some really good selections of cakes, sandwiches and soup. Not cheap but worth a visit. Coffee is good. Clean and tidy and staff were friendly.

Approachable staff and good customer service

Good choice of clothing etc, however, be aware that if you purchase anything and you want to return it, you di not get your money back. You will get a voucher. They are supposed to tell you this on the tills , but in my case, I wasn't told this, and the item I bought didn't fit, SO I now have a credit note. I will never buy anything from there again, either for myself or as a gift.

Large selection of things to look at in both male and female sections. Always some sort of SALE on aswell so good to look for a deal

Very quiet but member of staff very helpful

Would refuse to give us a cup of hot water to warm baby bottle due to “health and safety” but happily give us a cup of water for a tea if we pay £2.60. Sounds like we can be trusted with hot water if we pay for it. Never had this issue with any other cafe.

Another great British store that seems it is on its last legs sadly. There were more staff than customers the day I was there. Still selling quality but for how long.

This place is a real find, the tea and coffee are good, the food is tasty and there's a great choice, the cakes are great but the service makes the place brilliant! Younger people do the serving (that's probably a reflection of my age rather than theirs) and they are so helpful, polite, knowledgeable and they have a ready smile and a sense of humour. We love popping in for lunch, it's a treat and it's reasonably priced, just superb.

I bought my brother a shirt for his birthday and the gentleman shop assistant was so helpful and pleasant. The gents shop floor was very well aranged, spacious, bright and clean. I would definately recommend this shop.

Escalators not working, but this is quite normal at this store! The only lift is small and slow. Basically, if you have a mobility problem you may have a problem.

Sutton Branch is 10/10 compared to its Sister Branch in the City. The Staff are more helpful & take pride in making sure you have the correct items at the best prices, rather than just hurry you through the shop that's if your lucky enough to actually find a member of Staff in the City Branch. When one does its like a hour later & one forgets what one went in there for in the first place. Sutton Branch Staff are blooming brilliant they suddenly appear like Mr Ben & always remember your favorite fragrances & brands. I used to enjoy the city Branch but that was in the 80s & 90s.The Spirits section on the lower floor was my most favorite section. But as time goes on the moved it or got rid of it. Pity the Staff went as well... try the Sutton Branch...
