The Parlour in City of London, Westminster

The Parlour is on the 1st floor of Fortnum and Mason in Picadilly. The cafe has a lovely ambience and the food was flavourful but it was disappointing to see that the menu blatantly disregards diverse dietary choices- it lacked even basic labelling of Vegetarian/Vegan choices! When a cup of tea is £6 and a plate of small scones is £9 you would hope for attentive service! Our waiter was disinterested and dismissive, making no attempt to help our group choose the V/Ve choices from the menu.

We frequent The Parlour when in London and meeting family and friends for a relaxed, casual lunch with guaranteed favorites. The festive atmosphere and comfortable seating with attentive and fast service means that you can have a quick bite or relaxed break. What do we love about it? Honestly, the famous knickerbocker glory iconic ice cream sundae is a guarantee to end any visit.

Andres looked after us really well. Tea was excellent especially the smokey earl grey. The shrimp burger tasted amazing and fresh. The scones were also good too. Lovely place to have a rest and seating was comfortable.

The service was very slow and more like a canteen not as salubrious as I thought it would be. The knickerbocker glories we had were delicious though

The Parlour - more like a child’s daycare. The interior is designed in a way where you can’t feel serious about paying the exorbitant amounts they charge for dough clumps they call “scones”. I can only recommend if you are catering for your child’s “tea-time” role-play.

Having lived locally for many years, I’ve always held Fortnum & Mason in high regard. The beauty department and food hall staff, in particular, are consistently wonderful—courteous, knowledgeable, and a credit to the brand. However, my recent visit to the ice cream parlour was, quite frankly, the worst customer service experience I’ve had at Fortnum’s. From the outset, the service was disorganised and inattentive. Our order was forgotten, and when it was finally prepared, we watched it sit unattended on the counter for at least five minutes. Eventually, we had to prompt our waiter to collect it for us—something that should not happen in any establishment, let alone one with Fortnum's reputation. What truly sealed the experience as a disappointment was an encounter with what appeared to be a host or manager. As I approached the cake display, I was abruptly told to move. The area wasn’t marked as staff-only or cordoned off in any way, yet I was instructed to leave the restaurant and view the cakes from the opposite side if I wished to look at them. His reasoning was that “people standing there could harm the staff”—a bizarre and unnecessary overreaction. Unless his team is moving at lightning speed (which, given the pace of service, seems unlikely), this rationale was baffling. A simple, polite explanation would have sufficed—something along the lines of: “Madam, you’re welcome to browse while I’m here, but we try to keep this area clear for staff access.” Unfortunately, that level of basic courtesy was entirely absent. Unless you’re a tourist with low expectations and no understanding of English, I would strongly recommend avoiding the ice cream parlour. The service was shockingly poor, the prices unjustifiably high, and the overall experience left a sour taste—ironically, the only thing that did

Came here for dessert in the afternoon. You can't pre book a table so had to wait but fortunately as it was a weekday, the wait was only around 10-15mins. We ordered the carrot cake- which is one chunky slice, a pot of tea and a make your own ice cream sundae and the bill came to about £27 with service. The quality of the ice cream was amazing- really smooth.

We shop regularly at Fortnum & Mason , due to the high quality of products. We are always overly disappointed by the overly sweet flavorless cheap tasting ice cream . As you can see from the pictures the ice cream is melting in it’s cabinet which is not normal and the water residue on the glass is also worrying. The ice cream looks and tastes boring and is noting special , which it should be in order to match the quality of the rest of the products . Seems like this part of the business is stuck in the past. The staff are fabulous as always , it’s the quality of the ice cream that is the issue.

Located on the 3rd floor of the store, the tea room is very pleasant. The tea is excellent as are the scones. I was disappointed by the cream of the scones which was butter and not a good clotted cream. And the scones were really small but very very good.. For the rest, count on an added service of around 12%

The cappuccino and the ice cream were outstanding. This little gem is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful lunch. Lobster roll and charcuterie/cheese selection. Food was amazing and the staff were lovely. Thank you.

Habló con el supervisor cuya respuesta fue "sí lo sabemos pero no hay nada que podamos hacer". Miembro del personal caminó frotándose las manos más tarde diciéndole a su amiga lo frío que hacía en el café hoy. Busqué al gerente de The Parlour y repetí mi preocupación por lo frío que hacía y recibí la misma respuesta, es decir, sí lo sabemos, pero nada podemos hacer. Decidí que había algo que podía hacer. ¡Me fui infeliz!

Great store with delicious tea types. Court supplier and that can be seen in the offer and the beautiful chic boxes of tea. You can also have a tea or an ice cream at your leisure. You will find a lot of food. Actually, you should have visited this store when you are in London.

So fun getting to experience high tea here. Beautiful, delicious, and every detail cared for. Would highly recommend.

What happened to the small ice cream with your coffee. Sadly too much like any other cafeteria now.

Fue un regalo especial para mi cumpleaños de Hijas decidimos ir a tomar un helado y chocolate caliente. Nos sentamos de inmediato teniendo un asiento precioso en la ventana. El personal era muy amable y no podía hacer lo suficiente para usted. Pedimos lo que queríamos. Cuando llegó se veía increíble después de probar el helado fue simplemente fabuloso el mejor helado que he probado. Mi hija y yo pasamos un tiempo tan memorable que sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

Nos sentimos muy especiales teniendo un descanso aquí. Compartimos una esponja Victoria encantadora y tuvimos té y chocolate caliente. Disfrutamos de la experiencia y el servicio fue genial.

England is famous for its tea culture, and I went there because I heard it was famous for tea. I drank the recommended Victoria Gray and it had a nice scent and was moderately bitter. If I hadn't ordered the additional apple cake, I would have been in big trouble. It was really delicious. A fun place to visit.

I couldnt of been any more spoilt by the staff for my birthday!! We even got little ice creams for our bears we brought along too. Ice creams so full of flavour, my latte was a good strong coffee which just hit the spot!! Also the little mini ice cream you also get with the coffees are a great little touch😃😃

I came to the store in search of a ``cream tea,'' which refers to a set of scones with cream and tea. This store is located one floor above the entrance of the department store. Two people came to the store. There was a line of about 5 people, but I was told that I could get to the bar counter right away, so I was able to enter the restaurant without lining up. I ordered the scone (single item) and Royal Blend tea. The total cost is just under 3000 yen. I feel like it's a great deal to be able to get department store quality sweets at this price. There are so many types of black tea, and I couldn't imagine the taste from the name, so I chose it based on my intuition. The Royal Blend I chose tasted like strong Darjeeling tea! There are two types of scones: plain and with raisins. We had plenty of cream and jam for toppings. The scones are flaky and flaky, and pair perfectly with the buttery cream and jam. Refreshing black tea is also the best match. I felt happy.

Went on a Saturday for coffee and had to wait an egregiously long time to get a table. After we got a table we were told we couldn’t move the chairs because it was a safety hazard. Staff were not attentive at all and coffee was ridiculously overpriced. I ordered an iced latte at £5.50 and when it eventually came it was small and had no straw.

Probably the best place in London for a dessert. It was Christmas so it was crowded and busy and we had to wait a while but it was worth it. The food was great and the staff were lovely.

A fabulous London quick-stop n a wonderful setting. Always busy - expect queues - with charming staff and a price that’s about acceptable for the heart of London. THE best hot chocolate in the world. Ice creams amazing too.

It was such a busy Sunday, but despite the initial 15-20min wait to get a table, the service was excellent, the food and coffee delicious. Very clean, our food arrived very quickly and everyone was nice and polite! Thank you, we’ll visit again!

The ice cream was good, but it would have been a lot more fun if the service was better. The staff were standing around but seemed incapable of noticing customers wanting service. It took an age to flag someone down to get the bill, which spoiled the experience.

Good food, friendly service but to wait over an hr for 2 Welsh rarebits which is technically a small plate of cheese on toast…we offered to pay half of the 12% service charge to reflect that. However they took it off completely. Even the waiter was in agreement and apologised for the wait. It was a busy Friday lunch slot granted, but if you provide a service, then have the facilities / staff available. It’s Fortnum and Mason after all. My advice before sitting, ask on waiting times for the lunch menu.

Lovely spot for tea and cake or brunch or ice cream sundaes. Had two scones and partner had gorgeous caramel apple cake. Expect to pay for venue. Service was polite and friendly. We walked in with no reservation on a Wednesday lunchtime. Man on the table next to us was unbelievably rude to the staff as they couldn’t eat their takeaway cakes at the table! 2 teas between 5 of them. The staff were professional and courteous in the face of incredible rudeness. Must be very difficult. If you can’t afford the prices - go elsewhere.

Hice una visita con mi familia. Reservado con antelación. Lugar inteligente como era de esperar con F&M. Los problemas comenzaron cuando tuvimos que esperar veinte minutos para que se tomara nuestra orden. Si hubiera pasado más tiempo nos habríamos ido. Los helados en oferta eran muy interesantes con un montón de ingredientes. Cuando llegaban los helados yo decía que estaban bien. No hay absolutamente nada especial en el helado. Es muy corrido del molino. También olvidaron parte de nuestro pedido y no sacaron todo al mismo tiempo. Lo siento, cualquiera que piense que esto es algo que no sea mediocre (pero muy caro) tiene un caso de la ropa nueva del emperador. Definitivamente no volveré.

Went for a birthday celebration recently. Waited 15 mins for a table for 4, which was OK as we had been told by the reservations phone line well in advance that it was walk in only on that day. We were then shown to a small table for two with two extra chairs added, when there were plenty of proper 4 seater tables available. Not good for the two big blokes in the party so we requested one of the four seater tables, which was fortunately granted. Ice creams and sorbets were OK. However, As we were just finishing our food we were told we only had 15-20 mins left as they had ‘a booking’ and we had to leave the table! Won’t be going back.

My friend and I went to the Parlour to grab coffees with our two 9 month old babies in tow. We had purchased bagels at the Lower Ground level of F and M and were advised by the employee at the bagel area that we could eat the bagels at The Parlour. Whilst we now understand that the Parlour does not allow “outside food”, we were completely humiliated and disrespected by the waitress who essentially yelled at us while shaking her head in disgust and acted like we were complete idiots for thinking that F and M food could be eaten at a cafe inside the building. She acted so repulsed by us that I think we would have had a better reaction if we had opened a bag of maggots and poured them on the table. She then grabbed her manager and told the other staff who all looked at us and the manager came over to again scold us for having outside food while we were in the middle of wrapping it up and putting it away. They gave us less than 10 seconds to put the food away before he was at our table also having a go at us. This was humiliating as other tables were looking at us. As two new mums, going for a coffee can be challenging at the best of times, these servers gave us no grace and completely ruined the experience. I have never felt so disrespected and humiliated. And to top it all off they never even came back to ask us if we wanted to order any food.

What a great place to stop and rest and eat an ice cream or two! We had a pot of tea each and shared an absolutely delicious banana split.

Great place for lunch during your visit at Fortnum & Mason. Fair prices. Delicious food and a great variety of desserts.

Thought we would treat ourself to a spot of lunch (light bite to eat) whilst shopping in F&M’s. The Parlour was extremely disappointing. The staff seemed totally disinterested. We queued for 20 minutes whilst there were over 10 unused tables whilst the staff just stood at the counter. I would never come again to The Parlour. The food was lovely however but the total lack of customer service left a bitter taste.

Nice treat for the kids. Very indulgent though you would expect nothing less. Expect to queue at busy times. Front of house staff who was managing queue wasn’t vey friendly though was only issue.

No respondió, pero llamó a otro camarero que lo tomó sin gracia alguna. El helado vino rápido (delicioso) pero esperamos por nuestras bebidas. En ningún momento el camarero sonrió o interactuó con nosotros. Parecía haber desaparecido cuando queríamos pagar la factura: uno de sus colegas presentó la factura y recibió el pago, de nuevo no se dijo ni una palabra. Tal lástima que el personal arruinó la ocasión con su descortesía casual.

We normally pop in here for tea or coffee when visiting fortnum and masons, but today we decided to indulge in their parlour tea, which was excellent. I would in particular recommend the portland crab cake which was delicious and was the highlight.

We popped here for drinks, we were seated straight away and our order taken quickly. Our drinks were very slow to arrive, quite a few people were complaining about the length of time they had waited. We also ordered the gluten free scones, when they arrived I double checked they were gluten free. However, the waitress was very quick to spot (before they even touched the table) they were not gluten free. She did apologise as she had not entered gluten free in the system when ordering. When the gluten free scones arrived, they were really delicious light and fluffy.

Had the worst experience at The Parlour. The website says that they close at 6pm on Sundays and accept guests and orders 1 hour and 45 mins before respectively. When we got there over an hour before, we were told they close at 5pm. When we showed the website and explained all of this to him (as we were travelling from overseas and were told the scones here were delicious) we were treated rudely and arrogantly and still denied service. Not sure why. Other experiences I had at Fortnum and Mason were lovely. One of your staff even went out of their way to inform me that my handbag was open!

We were in the area looking for drinks and snacks on a swelteringly hot day in London and decided to opt for Fortnum's to do it with a bit of style. When we first sat down in The Parlour, we had some initial doubts, since the decor and ambience wasn't really what we'd expect from Fortnum's. I think it's aimed at families. Worry not, however, the food was excellent and the service undoubtedly improved with time. In fact, Boom got better and better as time went by. I had the parlour tea: Portland crab fishcakes and a duo of scones. My wife had grilled vegetable focaccia with burrito and basil pesto. We both had different blends of black tea (with a pot of hot water). As an impromptu visit for drinks and snacks, we were both pleased with our choice. It was also a great opportunity to walk the wonderful F&M floors!

We visited with friends over from Japan and as a treat we came in to F&M to do some shopping and get a bite to eat. The Parlour appealed to the children in our group so we asked for a table and were sat down quickly. We then waited a remarkably long time to be greeted by a server who despite some language barriers between them and our guests were bordering on rude and snappy. If someone doesn’t understand what’s being said, saying it louder and faster isn’t going to help the situation. When I stepped in to restore a bit of dignity for our guests it was clearly a step too far for our server and he quickly hurried away and practically ignored us for the rest of our visit. This was exceptionally disappointing given our surroundings, I wasn’t expecting to have to make excuses for an impolite service. The food was good however the experience was marred by our server.

The store in general is great. This was a bonus. Great little place for a bite and drink.

The taste and serve was completely bad. Ordered a cappuccino which just came very poor with plain coffee and lots of milk, looking like from a corner shop. Not the quality expected from Fortnum & Mason at all! Nevertheless, when I asked for a replacement, just been told that it would be the same. Kids were upset as well with the tastes of banana split, mousses and scones.

Enjoyed a nice hot decaf soy latte. Came with a little ice cream too! (But I didn’t eat it since I had an empty stomach).

The place is nice, the tea and scones are delicious, but the service is very, very, very bad, to the point that it is not worth ever returning to it😄

The service is bad The employees are not friendly and if you call them they do not look at you. I waited for more than ten minutes until I was able to attract their attention.

Came in this afternoon and was really disappointed. Waited about twenty minutes ( that’s fine) to be seated at the bar. Another 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. I believe this was the manager, who was running around. They were out of several items. Which, whatever. Sorbet was okay. My dining partner really liked the blueberry. I found that it tasted like preservatives. I would have expected more from F & M. Took another twenty minutes to flag down someone to get us our check so we could leave. Overall, disappointing experience.

Opening times are listed until 8pm, but it was just closing when we got there at 6:30pm. Even when I showed her the above, the lady was really unapologetic about it. Please update your opening times, and at least be humble about your error.

Lemon blueberry cake and Booibos tea.

When I came to England, I wanted to have tea and scones, so I visited The Parlor of Fortnum. The tea and scones were excellent, as expected. The scones were lighter and easier to eat than they looked.

A restaurant that offers breakfast service until 11:45 a.m., after which it turns into brunch. The seating is excellent, the tables are okay, and the chairs are comfortable. The food is excellent. Our order was scrambled eggs, French toast, and a wonderful lemon cake. I will leave you with the pictures. Of course, the restaurant is on the first floor. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor, as well as a restaurant on the third floor, but the best is. This restaurant

Ice creams and sorbets are ok but clearly not worth the queue. The service is very slow and the staff looks completely overwhelmed and underpaid. You will get better ice creams in the street.

I have visited The Parlour many times whilst in London. The staff are always very friendly, the food is very nice and service is excellent. Hers looking forward to another visit soon. Christine Eastbourne.

Rude staff. Waited 15 minutes to be seated. Got seated but asked to move to a different table nearby. It was less central. Got rudely told no. She snapped for no reason. We walked out because we knew there would be zero service offered today. Unacceptable from such a large brand. Also on the way out we saw staff using their bare hands to push scoops of ice cream onto cones and sundaes. Disgusting. Never again!

Lovely staff, service, menu and food. It was my partners 75th Birthday and what better way to celebrate with the Parlour’s knickerbocker glory - wonderful!

Cute pastel coloured ice-cream parlour on the 1st floor of the iconic Fortnum & Mason. Extremely Instagrammable, but unfortunately the food did not live up to my expectations. I ordered a latte, which was nicely presented with a cute little ice-cream cone attached. The coffee was okay, but the restaurant is actually quite cold and within less than ten minutes my coffee was also cold. I had the scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast - which again were just okay, but I’ve had far better (and cheaper) elsewhere. Service though was superb, and staff were very attentive. Overall I felt quite disappointed and don’t feel I could (or would) recommend visiting - not unless you like cold and overpriced food.

The elegant rarebit and scrambled eggs on toast were delicious and the service was provided with a smile. Will visit again.

A really nice hidden gem within the legendary Fortnum & Mason's store, great tea, didn't stay for more so maybe next time

The ice creams and milkshakes we had all tasted very fresh and were very tasty! I had the special, limited edition Easter Sundae which was very tasty and was decorated with 3 mini egg shells. You can taste the quality in the ice cream and would definitely return again in the future if in the area. The negative side to this review is that we experienced a very long wait. We must have been waiting for at least 30 minutes or more with only 4 people in front of us. When we asked the members of staff, they said that they were unable to say how long the wait will last, they have to wait for people already dining to finish so that the tables become clear again. The parlour is decorated nicely, our server was friendly and with nice quality ice cream, I would return in the future. Just brace yourself for a wait!

Wait staff had Chinese accent and Eastern European accent respectively. Ice cream sundae was pre-made days or weeks ago. Skimpy toppings (my wife, who never complains, asked for more). Low budget decor, even at Easter. Many tourists. Have low expectations.

Amazing service, was sat straight away at the bar. Loved sitting here as we could watch how everything was made and really get a good experience. Our orders were taken and I had a milkshake with a raspberry ripple and strawberry combo, and whipped cream. No word of a lie, this was easily the best milkshake over ever had in my life, and I’d go all the way back to F&M just for this! Overall a great experience, and would highly recommend!

The best way to taste on-site some representative light food and drinks in a refined yet casual environment

I went twice in December, as it was the only one of Fortnum's restaurants we could get in without a reservation. The menu and food quality was excellent. The management of the table clearing and the queues waiting was very poor, and inefficient - they could improve the customer service.

I had some lunch and tea here yesterday and it was really nice :-) the lady serving us was lovely, and the food was expensive but very good!

Managed to get a table very quickly which was good. The ice cream was very tasty however the apple and mincemeat tart I had was not as tasty. In addition for the size I felt it was overpriced. For the price I paid given the location I felt the service was something to be desired. A disappointing experience.

Solo travel has many advantages and one of them is that quite often you are able to get seated rather quickly (as long as you are happy with a seat at the bar), I only had tea and carrot cake, what a cake it was. It was huge and delicious - one of the best it was. Tea was very tasteful as well.

Went there to get a hot chocolate. Waited until everyone around us had their order (even arriving/ordering after us). Finally received our order and the chocolate was a watery mess. Barely touched it. Staff never even noticed. Atmosphere was alright.

Normally I go to a restaurant in London and am shocked by how expensive it is. This time i was shocked by how good value it was. I assumed that any meal at Fortnum would be hideously dear. This one wasn't. The Welsh rarebit is a nice satisfying plate costing just 10 pounds. Ice creams are really well priced and excellent value. Service smart and excellent. We weren't hurried out of our seats despite visiting on one of the busiest Saturdays of the year. All in all pretty good.

Dropped by to Fortnums for some Christmas shopping… and it was super busy so I decided to take a breather and stop here at The Parlour. The surrounding was nothing special for a nice store and the service was lacking. The scones were teeny tiny for the price, the cherry cola float was blah as they didn’t even have cherry cola so they gave me regular cola… and the hot chocolate was ok but not hot enough. Honestly, you’re better off going to John Lewis or M&S coffee shop…

Food was lovely, I had a scotch egg and my sons had make your own sundaes! But more than this the atmosphere was lovely for the kids, like an upmarket American diner and the staff were wonderful with my sons! We will return!

Our first stop on our 2 day trip to London was at The Parlour in F&M’s for a delicious breakfast of coffee and bacon sandwiches on toasted sourdough - delicious! The bacon had so much flavour, the homemade sauce was fantastic, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our quick “pit stop” at The Parlour before spending time in-store shopping. Highly recommend.

I personally feel that this nod to an American diner or ice cream parlour is a waste. It could feel a lot more special, instead it feels cheap and childish. A bit like a McDonald's. My table smells of faint cleaning products, there is no music playing, the lighting is banal, whereas of course the rest of Fortnum's is amazing. So this doesn't translate Fortnum for the masses, it's just boring. Not at all worth the 20 minute wait (I had agreed to meet someone there and couldn't change location, but would have).

Excellent service at F&M's first floor eaterie "The Parlour". Arriving during a busy lunch service, I was politely welcomed and seated, and the menu presented. The Americano coffee arrived promptly, complete with a complimentary teeny ice cream cone, followed later by the freshly cooked Chicken Schnitzel and accompaniments. Lunch was delicious, and the service exemplary - even my water glass was refilled without having to ask. I would definitely recommend The Parlour.

Fantastic visit for our daughters 3rd birthday. Ice cream sundaes all round, all very tasty. Great service and they added a candle and Happy Birthday chocolate to her dessert, much appreciated. Beautiful setting, what a treat.

We did a cream tea here because we didn't have the time for a full afternoon tea in the tea salon. The decor at The Parlour looks very dated and reminded us a bit of American diners. Service wasn't great either, it took a while for our order to be taken and then another long while before our tea was served and then some more time before our scones were served. The scones were served and the host immediately walked off so fast that we couldn't bring to his attention that he served one of us two clotted creams instead of a cream and a jam. The hostess who was cleaning the table next to ours had to ask a server at a different table to come over to us when we brought it to her attention so that took some time as well. For the premium price you pay for tea and scones at Fortnum & Mason I expected a bit more attentive service. The server who took our order and brought us our bill was very lovely though and gave me a great tea recommendation (ended up buying a tin downstairs).

The Parlour is situated on the 1st floor of F&M, and I managed to stop by recently for some coffee and scones. Whilst the pricing isn’t cheap, I found the pricing of the coffee to be very expensive, and unfortunately not that good. £5.50 for a flat white really is the pushing it, but the least I would expect for that price is amazing coffee, which it was not. The scones were good, and came out warm, which is a bonus. The price of the scones in comparison to the coffee was actually ok. The cafe itself is a little on the cold side, and I’m not sure if that’s to do with the ice cream refrigerator, but I had to keep my coat on whilst I had my coffee.

Food was fine, but the service was appalling. Our experience was ruined by rude staff. We were served by a lady waitress whose name starts with Ay… She was filled with bad attitude, almost to the point of scowling at the diners. When the food came, it was literally shoved onto the table. When we asked for help for a photo to be taken, we almost got an eye roll and the photos taken were not even in focus. It was a “I’ll help you but I’ll speed shoot the button but I’m not looking” attitude. The guy waiter on the other end wearing a suit was so pleasant and we noticed he was at least making effort to help guests take photos on that end. What was the 12.5% service charge for on top of the overpriced food? Surely you can do better F and M

I love Fortnum & Mason but to say I was disappointed in the parlour is an understatement. The Staff weren’t all that welcoming, in fact we waited for around 5 min before somebody came to greet us. There were no pleasantries from the waiter or waitresses. When we decided what to order some items on the menu had run out. The decor and the fixtures and fittings are more fitting to a Barbie house rather than a well established high end Department store. Think F&M have lost their way on this one!!

Tenía ganas de volver a probar alguno de sus helados y la verdad que la visita no defraudó. Helados muy bien presentados y de altísima calidad, también va acorde con su precio. Tiene una carta interesante y el local es bonito con tonos pastel. Bastante concurrida. Prefiero el Fortnum antes que Harrods. Personal también muy atento y amable.

Absolutely adore this place. The Parlour is friendly and welcoming to all: whether a celeb (favourite haunt of David Walliams), or dropping in for refreshment as an exhausted tourist in the heart London. Or a regular, like my family and friends. Divine food (not cheap, but worth it) and the best teas (obviously) and hot chocolate in the world (and I'm a hot choc connoisseur. The free mini icecreams with coffee are such a treat. Staff are fun and atmosphere great. Tell them if it's your birthday and the wonderful Boon (if on duty) will come over and sing Happy Birthday. Just awarded (aug 23) an 'expert's choice award'. Full disclosure - my daughter worked here on a gap year, which is how I came to know about the Parlour (despite being a Londoner).

On a trip to London we wanted a special break in the afternoon and booked in advance. We had a table for four and had excellent service by our waiter who kindly offered to take our photo of us and the array of food that we ordered. Ice creams and scones plus drinks were all very nice, a lovely experience, it does get busy so would recommend advance booking so you can walk straight in.

Ice Cream Parlour- Terrible "Terrible service, dirty tables. Head waiter, very unfriendly and overwhelmed. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable. Completely shocking considering this is Fortum and Mason. Very embarrassing for the company, to be honest they should close this place down."

I love the parlour at fortnum’s they sell so many lovely treats !! Such as sundaes , knickerbocker glories , and more , I went to the parlour a few times and I went for my birthday which was in November and I got scones and they were amazing ! They also gave me a fortnum & mason colouring and activity sheet which I still have when I next go to the parlour I’ll get another one so I can frame it ! It’s very beautiful as well !

I love this place but was disappointed. Had my tea much before the savoury and scones. Would have preferred it all being served together

We enjoyed our ice cream sundaes on a very hot day in London . The Parlour is very casual and a nice experience when you're visiting the store . Staff are lovely and kept very busy . Not cheap but an enjoyable treat .

What utterly delightful staff! I came here with my sister, who had travelled from Brighton, for a pre- coronation celebration. We received such a warm welcome when we arrived, we did have to queue for a while but it was well worth it. I was dressed in a "coronation outfit" and we were treated like royalty! It was after four when we arrived and I am sure our waitresses had been working hard all day but they were so lovely and attentive. So a big shout out to Gessica and Ayaka, they could not have been more delightful; so smiley, friendly and kind. They made our day so special. Everything was delicious and the scones, jam and cream were very reasonably priced. I even got a mini ice cream cone in the handle of my cappuccino cup! Just such a joyful experience. Thank you!
