The Park - Bar & Kitchen in St. Helens

Came here now for a few Sunday roasts. I must say it's really nice. The flavours of each item on the roast dinner are great! I have lived in St.helens for 28 years and never heard of the place until about 2 months ago. They must do some advertising for the food! The only disappointment is the £5 supplement for 3 meats. You get 1 thin sliver of each meat which isn't worth paying. The chicken roast is the best.

First visit after family recommended. Warm day so outside was busy, but the friendly staff found us a table inside. At first a large group of male golfers came in and sat directly opposite us, all rather loud and wanting a few drinks, however they were quickly moved to another area more appropriate for them. Food was lovely and service was fast. Will definitely be coming back, as we want to try breakfast!

We had my husbands 60th Birthday party in the sports bar, venue is perfect for a celebration especially with the gorgeous weather so people could be inside and out. Stu the chef did an amazing buffet and Laura and the staff were amazing too!! Thanks for looking after us it was definitely a night to remember for our family and friends.

We visited the Park in May with our family for a low-key wedding meal after we had our legal marriage ceremony at the local town hall. Laura arranged it all and took care of absolutely everything. She's an absolute credit and really went above and beyond for us! Thank you so much to Laura and her lovely team, including Danielle! The food was fab too.

Called in a couple of times over the weekend just gone, first up was breakfast and they were absolutely spot on! Day later went back for dinner and everything was absolutely spot on again. Served both times by the lovely Natasha, the best place in St Helens for breakfast and dinner without a doubt! Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Only just found this lovely place and been twice recently, both great experiences, so recommended for us to come as a family to celebrate Dad's birthday! So glad we did! Food was fab, piping hot and fresh, all of us cleared our plates and had desserts too. But the absolute stand out was our server Ewan! What a gem 💎 ✨️ he was amazing throughout the whole meal, always on hand for whatever we needed and made a huge effort with all of us, he even joined in singing happy birthday to my dad! My dad really appreciated it and had a great night so thank you to Ewan and the rest of the team. We will all be back again soon.x

Daughter booked us in for a meal on Mother’s Day, food was absolutely brilliant as was the service from Dannielle. Would 100% recommend the Park Bar & Kitchen to everyone.

Called on the off chance we wouldn't need to book - we were welcomed, seated and had our order taken very quickly. Food was very good and served promptly. Nice atmosphere, good attentive staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely go again.

Had the perfect late lunch with family yesterday. Food was delicious, service impeccable - thanks to Laura and her team we had the best rainy Sunday afternoon out in The Park.

Great place, lovely food and good service. The only thing for me personally is that I’m never overjoyed when places are *too* dog friendly. When one jumps up at you on the way in and one is barking incessantly inside it spoils the enjoyment. I accept the Park probably have lots of dog loving customers and this is just my opinion. I won’t stop going but would enjoy it so much more without animals around while eating!

We recently had my son’s birthday celebration here at the Coley’s Bar. Service and communication from the word go was second to none. I booked the get together 12 months in advance and dealt with Demi who couldn’t have been more responsive, helpful and knowledgeable - my mind was at ease in the lead up to the night and I had all my questions answers within hours of making contact. The night itself was brilliant. The room was ready when we were told it would be and was spotless. We had two bartenders looking after us for the evening (I’m sorry; I didn’t get their names) One girl, one boy and neither of them stopped all evening. From serving and the bar to putting out our hot buffet to cleaning up well after midnight - nothing was too much trouble and they did it all with a smile on their face. They were both a credit to the company. Food was delicious and I know family and friends will be attending again in the future as everyone had a fun, safe time in beautiful surroundings. Thank you from us all. You made our night the perfect evening we wanted it to be!

Best breakfast in St Helens without a doubt cooked to perfection by Michelle, Andy & Stu. The service provided by Ellesha, Natasha & Gracie was Fantastic. Laura clearly runs the establishment brilliantly. Can’t wait for my next visit, would absolutely 100% recommend.

Our first visit for a family breakfast in this well run restaurant and bar. The food was top of the league all cooked perfectly and with a pot of tea for the lady’s and a pint for the men it made a perfect day. Had an amazing night on Saturday at Coleys for my husbands 60th Birthday , the venue is an ideal spot for a family & friends get together and with the weather being so good we had the choice of indoor & outdoor seating which was brilliant! All the staff , especially Olivia, looked after us so well ... would definitely recommend it to other's. Thanks again xxx

We held my daughters 13th Birthday celebrations on this venue (Coley's Bar) and can honestly say from start to finish the service we received was above and beyond what we expected! Demi the coordinator was my little guardian angel always on hand to calm me down when needed but so extremely professional in her role...an absolute joy to organise my party with...Thank you for everything ❤ The team in the venue itself were professional and so happy to help in anyway they could and Laura the Manager had everything organised so much especially as I do panic alot 🙈 Massive shout out to Katie who worked behind our bar...she did not stop and always had a massive smile on her face, she looked after our guests so well and is an absolute asset to your company. The food was just beautifully presented and extremely yummy to eat as well so much so people who came are still messaging me talking about it! This has always been such a great venue - until now. Came for quiet outdoor drinks in the Easter weekend sunshine, to be met by what can only be described as a rabble of loud, swearing, drunken yobs outside, masquerading as golfers who wouldnt recognise a single aspect of the game's etiquette if it poked any one of them in the eye. Apparently no amount of rowdiness, shouting and bad language is enough to question just how many more barrels of lager can be served to these louts or to prompt them to consider others. Nope, as long as the money is running through the tills, the place can go to hell in a handcart - careering downhill to join the rest of the hospitality trade in the area. Congratulations guys: heros to zeros in no time. Left with a heavy heart after one pint. Just dreadful.

We visited on a Saturday night and the staff must have had a long day but they're always welcoming and the service is fantastic. We had the squid and bang bang cauliflower followed by fish and chips, and the gammon. The food was spot on, hot tasty, very well prepared and presented. You never hear a bad word about the place from anyone, keep up the good work !

Great little spot perfect for grabbing a snack or full on filling up after a walk round sherdley park or the golf course. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, staff are warm and welcoming.
